I am a student of British International School in Cairo. Now as I am taking Business at GSCE stage i decided to do your company for my coursework. I would be pleased if I would recieve from Apple any relevant information about iPod Nano as I decided that it will be my product. If you could send me any relevant information including your Sales, where is it in product life cycle, what pricing strategy did you use that would be very thankful from your side. I also would want all possible pictures that are not yet on your website.

You posted in a user's forum. Although moderated by an Apple employee, it is not a direct link to Apple. Regardless, your questions regarding the Nano are so vague, it's difficult to see where you're going. I have several suggestions, purposely vague so you can do the legwork. There have been several reports regarding the vendor of the DRAM components, positive and negative. Perhaps analyzing the reports, you can speculate what has happened and what is going to happen. You can also check the historic pricing structure of memory devices, and theorize what's going to occur. You can also check the Apple website, and check the historic product life cycles, and the changes in pricing as the product matures, and as the competition introduces product. There are lots of websites with Nano photographs and, remember, Google is your friend. If I were you, I'd check the USPTO (or is it the USTPO - you can Google that too), and see the latest patents that Apple has been granted or has applied for. Finally, I'd check the latest quarterly and annual report -perhaps through EDGAR, or the Apple website. Since the actual answers to your questions are privledged information, you own't get a direct answer from Apple.

A month ago my iPhone was stolen, I turned on Activation Lock but it never came out BUT an hour ago somehow my apple ID was changed and someone removed from the account both my iPhone and iPad and the iPad was also remotely wiped. As soon as I saw it I recover the password and return the access to my iPad. But iPhone is not registered for my apple ID any longer. Can Apple help me somehow? I have all the documents and the iPhone box. Will they lock the iPhone and return me access to it. I'm sure it's been attached to another apple ID.

Oh, don't worry. I know exactly. I'm a retired law enforcement officer after 30 years. I didn't mean for them to allow you to use the Internet, I meant for them to assign an officer to try and track the device for the victim. Again, that would require the victim to provide their Apple ID and password, which most would not want to provide.
Pinging the phone as you mention is only when there is probable cause and that is done through the carrier.
I'm glad to see someone also understand that a stolen cell phone is not as important to law enforcement as it is to the victim. It is unfortunate as smartphones get more expensive. Hopefully as iOS 7 makes it debut later this year, the work Apple has done will have some impact on smartphone theft. Other manufactures and carriers are starting to improve here in the states. It never was something carriers worryed about with blacklisting. This is where they were a step ahead in Europe. -

The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, all a thief or whoever finds it has to do is force the phone into recovery mode & restore it. While this deletes all data on the phone, it also removes the passcode so the phone can then be used as a phone or touch. -

I purchased my Iphone 4 outright, without a contract from the Japanese Carrier Softbank. That means I paid the entire price upfront. They refuse to unlock the Iphone under any circumstances, despite the fact I am no longer in Japan.
Can Apple help me? I've checked out some unlocking services online, but the price seems a bit too high.

J.No, Apple cannot help. Only the network to which the phone is locked can unlock it (if they choose to).
Nobody else can legitimately unlock it. Other services that claim to offer unlocks are hacks, void the warranty and prevent you from updating the phone OS in the future. -

Unless Apple determines this is a hardware defect or they make an exception if caused by accidental damage, Apple will not help you as in exchanging or repairing the iPad for free.

Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.
Sorry, but your iPod is most likely gone for good.

Dear with, sorry to hear about this, this is becoming more of a problem in the UK as well. If you have registered you ipod with apple, they may be able to give you a record of your serial number, but Brian is correct, call the police.

No iPhone can be activated without a SIM. You will need a SIM from the carrier it is locked to to complete the activation. That would be AT&T... It don't believe it needs to be "live".
