Pls Help! Eclipse plugin question...

Hi, I am trying to install the Eclipse Plug-in for the PDK v1.2.0 onto Eclipse (version 3.0.2) but however, it doesn't seem to work. When I go from Windows>Preferences> I don't see any 'Portal Development Kit'. Also, I seem to get the error that this plugin does not support java 1.4. Is there a updated plugin? or is there a way around this?

Hi,
unfortunately you need Eclipse 2.1 to run the plugin.
It does not work with Eclipse 3.x

Well, I've found that 9 out of 10 questions that are posted here could have easily been answered by a simple google search. Sun has an incredible tutorial section that could answer most any question posted as well. There's a good chance that these questions might be overlooked when someone makes time in there day to help other people. As the old adage goes, "Programers help those who help themselves."

I always listen to radio station 105.7 fm in Balto, MD. A couple of days ago installed Firefox updates. "Help" shows no updates available at this time. I can message "adobe flash plugin has crashed". Unable to correct with info online. Not sure what to do at this point. Pls help.

I think that your Mac detects your hard disk, but the problem is that your new hard disk doesn't contain any operating system, so your Mac doesn't find any bootable partition and you see a question mark.

If the compiler is not stopping at your breakpoint, then it probably means that the java code you're looking at and the compiled class file are out of synch. If you're getting a classnotfound, then your classfile most likely is either not there or is not where expected.
Check the output folder in project's properties (which may or may not be the default), and see if your classfiles are actually there. Perhaps there is some error that is preventing your classfile from being generated (Eclipse sometimes won't even be able to compile), so check the problems dialog.
Try refreshing your project, and if all else fails, restart Eclipse/delete & create the project again. That sometimes magically fixes things. Otherwise, welcome to the quirkiness of dealing with Eclipse!

Cannot add javafx eclipse plugin to Eclipse, need help doing so

After following the instructions for installing the javafx eclipse plugin, I am on the step where you add available software by typing in the link "http://javafx.com/downloads/eclipse-plugin/" and you select the software to install... the problem that is occuring is that it is prompting me for a username and password. The username and password I am providing is the one I use on oracle; yet, it is saying my login details were not accepted. The walkthrough does not mention this step at all. Please help!

Is that a bad location?Yes, JavaFX 1.x is, for all intents and purposes, dead and that plugin is for the unsupported JavaFX Script which shipped with JavaFX 1.x and is not applicable to (and incompatible with) JavaFX 2.x.

If you mean that you're aren't getting the reset link as described in the steps half-way down this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312, then that will only show if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account.
If you aren't getting the link then you don't have a rescue email address, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the above HT5312 page to add a rescue email address for potential future use

I think you need to reset those questions. You'll need to call the tech support for your country, ask to be connected to the Account Security Team and then ask if they can reset the questions for you.

Crystal Reports for Eclipse plugin and CR XI server

I have a software requirement in which I need to support both internal (CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer, not sure what the real name of this is) along with external (CR XI server) reporting. In other words, I should be able to display a report (.rpt) that exists on my local app server along with one that exists on the CR XI server. My question is this:
So I have both sets of jar libraries (eclipse plugin and XI server) and I see that some of the them are overlapping (some of the jars have the same name). For the ones that overlap, should I choose the ecilipse plugin or XI server ones...?
One example I found is that the eclipse plugin rasapp.jar contains the POJOResultSetHelper class whereas the rasapp.jar from the XI server does not. In this case, I presume I should use the eclipse version, right?

-If you are using latest version of CR Eclipse plugin using the report viewer,then I would recommend going for JAR files of this eclipse plugin than that of CR XI Server.
-The only reason being Eclipse plugin will give you most updated JAR files.
-Before using JAR files from Eclipse plugin, I would suggest you to update your present JAR files to latest available JAR files.
This can be done through Eclipse using update option.
And once you update them, you can use those JARs.
