Pls help! LR4 adjustments won't render when sent to PS

I've been spending all day on this and my workflow will be destroyed if I can't get this figured out.
I upgraded to LS4 without a hitch, and updated my catalogs. Everything seemed to work fine for a few days. Then I tried to drag my LR catalog onto another drive and open it from there. Afer that, it all went down the tubes, regardless of which copy of the catalog I open.
Normally I'll make adjustments my my imported RAW files in LR, then hit "command-E," and edit original to PS CS5.1 (all software is current release), with LR adjustments rendered to that TIFF file. Now, I don't ever get that dialog box, but I do get another box telling me to update to Camera Raw version 7.0, which I understand is not available yet. So I hit "open anyway," and the image appears in PS but without any adjustments. Furthermore, it appears to be an opened CR2 file, rather than a TIFF. I didn't even know PS could open a CR2 file without the Camera Raw plugin dialogue launching. So, it appears I have a CR2 file opened rather than a TIFF, despite the external editor presets being correct (TIFF, 16bit, etc.).
I can render it using lightroom, but that doesn't work for me because I need to be able to not save a tiff I've created (layers of different adjustment settings I discard), I need to be able to click "don't save" but that way just automatically saves them. Also,

Just for a bit more clarity, the file you see in PS is a TIFF: PS always initally names the raw file it has open using the original raw format name (so .nef, .cr2, .dng, etc) - once you hit save it will update to .tif, .psd, etc. As you've opened a processed file directly from a raw editor (LR), it jumps straight to PS, but uses ACR to render the image into a rasterised file behind the scenes. And that ACR rendering is of course why, before you downloaded ACR 6.7RC, you were seeing an image that didn't represent your LR adjustments (because it couldn't interpret the new 2012PV data).

When you say download do yo mean:
- directly downloading from iTunes?
- Syncing to computer?

Help! images won't render to video

I am a student in animation and media design. I have previously used photoshop in CS4 to animate and I have just upgraded to creative cloud. I have tried to animate using photoshop 6 and I can't get my drawings to render to video. Another student thought that it was rendering and just too fast for me to see it. But I tried all the different settings and every one that I did is rendering the same way. I get a play screen to pop up and it shows the musical note in the screen and it looks like it plays but there are no images. Can you please help me?

When using images, you need to determine the correct fps {frames per sec} If you only have 3 images (default is approx. 30 fps) That would mean your animation would be done in 1/10th of a second. For it to last a full second the fps would have to be set to 3fps. In the timeline panel there is an icon in the upper right hand corner, it should have a menu item for setting the fps.
If it isn't there, lets us know and someone can figure out why.

Photo won't open when sent to Photoshop CS6 through LR4's 'edit in' feature

Everything is up to date (ACR 7.1, and Lightroom 4.1). When I choose to edit in CS6, the program will open but my chosen photo does not appear. I can't figure out what is going on! Please help!

I'm on Windows so I can't be of much help... I tried the solution I posted last night (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/edit-photoshop-command-missin g-photoshop.html) and it didn't work uninstall / reinstalling CS6 also doesn't work!! Finaly I went into the Registry and removed all referances to Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 (there are a number of them) and pointed them to Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 but that also doesnt work!!!
The only solotion sofare is what I posted earlier... adding a pointer in "Edit In" to the 32bit version of Photoshop. Dut as I stated it still dosen't alow me to open in Photoshop as a Smart Object -- I GIVE UP!!!!

HELP! System won't POST when SPD enabled

Here's my specs
P4 3.0ghz (800mhz FSB and HT)
MSI Neo2 Motherboard
512mb Kingston HyperX PC4000
Radeon 9800 PRO
2x 160gb Maxtor Ultra Series 8mb cache on Raid 0
I recently traded my HyperX PC3200 and replaced it (not added) with a HyperX PC4000-- before i switched out the ram, my PC3200 ran pretty smoothly. Now with the PC4000 in my computer instead, my computer will not Boot/Post when I have SPD enabled. Also it seems like 2.5 (or 2), 3, 3, 8, 4 are the settings that will actually let my computer boot properly.----- 3, 3, 3, 8, 4 will not. My voltage is set to 2.7, and its on Colonel for DOT, and Turbo for performance. Is there anything that will allow SPD to be Enabled? Is it a real problem? I literally have to reset my CMOS in order to get to the Bios to disable SPD and its kind of annoying.
My main questions are:
What does SPD do? and why doesn't my new memory allow it to be set on enabled? What are good timings to use?
oh, my computer also wont POST if I boost my FSB past 220mhz-- can anyone help me with that as well?

The main problem here is that HyperX (please tell us part number or at least module size and quantity) PC3200 has CAS Latency of 2 (2.5 for 2 x 1Gb) where as PC4000 has CAS Latency of 3. Secondly, MSI 865 / 875 motherboards use MAT (Performance mode) to determine memory timings not SPD (or even manual in some cases) and even when set to slow, this can still affect your memory's ability to post. (For both of us it seems these mobo's will not allow CAS Latency =3 - set it manually and check with CPU-Z).
Try this:-

DRAM Frequency: 266 MHz
Spread Spectrum: Disabled
Adjust CPU Bus Clock (Mhz): 200

CPU Vcore Adjust: No
CPU Vcore: 1.5250V (Greyed Out)
DDR Power Voltage: 2.70V
AGP Power Voltage: 1.55V

This effectively slows your memory right down and allows you to ascertain your CPUs maximum overclock. Raise the FSB and see how far you can go. Check stability with Memtest and prime95 and once you've found your sweet spot note it down. If you want to benchmark and then repeat the process for 5:4 ratio (Memory Frequency 333 MHz) and 1:1 (Memory Frequency 400 MHz). You can then try manually lowering your memory timing to get the absolute best performance, but FSB MHz is more important with the P4 + 865 / 875 chipset combo than memory timings. Technically, 1:1 ratio should give you the best results, but with the memory timing issues on these boards, my best performance comes from 5:4.

Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?
Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
Next try DFU mode.

Have you installed the software on the second computer? If not, you may be able to use ePrint to send to it if you have an ePrint compatible printer and have already setup the service, but if not you would need to download and install the software on the second computer (or do it from the disk). If you already have installed the software and it still isn't working, try our Print Diagnostic utility which can be found here.

PDFs downloaded to my computer won't open when sent via email

I've been trying to send pdfs from Quickbooks Online. At first I tried simply sending it from Quickbooks, but a number of people were not able to open them. For months I was uploading them to Acrobat, downloading them to my computer and sending them that way. That was working for a while, but for some reason stopped. Now it seems some people can open them, but not everyone. Is this a problem on my end? They are getting a message that the file is corrupted and cannot be opened.

Since you're uploading your PDF files to Acrobat.com, have you tried sending your recipients a link to the files there (rather than downloading and sending them from your computer)?

Sections Won't Render..?

Small bits, like a video transition, show up RED, and beep during playback. but won't render when I hit Command R, or RENDER ALL..?

Do a device reset as outlined below. This will clear the message and allow you to use your device again.
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Then you'll have to use another iOS device or Mac running OS X Lion or higher to create a new account for you to use on your phone. If you don't have one, perhaps a friend would allow you to create and account on their device (note: this will use one of their three maximum accounts). To do this, they would need to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which will delete the account from their device but not from iCloud), then allow you to sign back in with your ID to create the new account. Then tap Delete Account to delete the new account from their device, and finally, sign back in with their iCloud ID to restore their iCloud account to their device. Then you can sign in with your ID on your phone in Settings>iCloud and use the new account.
