Pls post ur suggestions/comments on whether i get the zen micro.

pls post your suggestions, comments, reactions, etc etc regarding the zen micro. am planning to buy myself a hard dri've mp3 player (5gb or 4gb would suffice) and i still can't decide up to now on whether i should get the ipod mini or the creative zen micro. your suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I have a Zen Touch. I do not have an enormous music collection, but have maybe 50 or 60 albums on the player. This is something like 6 or 7 GB. It is WAY too much for me (even this much music). I do not need even that many songs on it at once. With support via WMP0 to synchronize, you could just synch up your favorites every time, switch them around, eventually synch up Napter 2 Go stuff and still have a ton on a 5 GB player. Features on the Micro that sound flashy but I would NEVER use are the calendar, contact thing. I have this on my phone, too, and don't use it. I have a PDA--I DO use that. An MP3 player is a pitiful substitute for a PDA (and a PDA is a lousy MP3 player). I would use the Audible Audio support in the Micro. Touch does not have this. I am a huge Audible fan. I had seriously looked at a Rio Carbon, but now that the Micro is out, that would be the player I would buy if I had it to do over again. They do need to develope a way to charge your extra battery for the Micro. The ability to swap batteries is pretty stupid the way it is now--you can only charge it in the player. They need a charger for the spare. Just my opinion, but I think some people get carried away with hard dri've potential. I can't forsee EVER wanting to carry that much music around with me, especially when it will be so easy to change what is on the player once full support for WMP0 comes out. I am just not away from my home computer library for that length of time that I would want to carry most of it around with me. I vote for the Micro.

  • Suggestions for how I can get the new purchases currently trapped on my iPod transferred to iTunes?

I recently bought an iPod touch and had no trouble loading all the existing music I have in iTunes to my new iPod.  The problem is that no matter what I try I cannot transfer purchases I made on the new iPod into iTunes.  Every time I try, "Transfer Purchases" is greyed out.  As a result the seven tracks that I bought on the iPod are trapped on the device.  I can't get them into iTunes.  Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get the seven new purchases currently trapped on my iPod transferred to iTunes?
I've tried suggestions from multiple support forums, and nothing has worked.  Does anyone know why "Transfer Purchases" would be greyed out and how I can fix it so I can get the music purchases from the device to the computer.  Before anyone asks, this has not happened with any other Apple device I have owned, including my iPhone 4 8GB, iPod Touch 2nd Gen 32GB, iPad 1st Gen 64GB, and iPad 2 64GB.  Why is it suddenly happening now?
My new iPod is an iPod Touch 5th generation 64GB  using iOS 7.1.2, and iTunes is version 11.
I've never had this problem before.  It's driving me nuts.  Any help is very much appreciated.

    Does iTunes see the iPod?
Is the computer authorized for the account that purchased the items?

I have iPhoto 11 with Lion and when I try to post photos into MobileMe in Share I get the message that iPhoto is not connected to internet. Can anyone tell me how to connect iPhoto to internet?

My solution, which is not much, is to restart iPhoto and it then connects to the Internet. This has been an ongoing unsolved problem.

  • Trying to decide whether to get the iPad with the 3G. Any recommendations?

Trying to decide whether to get the iPad with the 3G. Any recommendations? Also, does my dataplan for my iPhone good for the iPad?

If you already have a phone, then for 20 per month ( depending on your carrier) you can tether and you are all set,  since you have the phone, i dont see the sense in the extra 130 for the 3 g in the pad.   If you are out a lot, and want the convenience of a single device, then the 3 g is for you, but otherwise, tethering is a fine option.

  • Does the Zen Micro hv tis features? Pls Hel

Does the Zen Micro support chinese interface?.. Also, does it display songs' lyrics on playback? For example, coming with a tag for every songs.. Lastly, may I noe whether a microphone is needed for voice recording.. or can we juz speak directly into the player without using any other external hardware n everything tt has been said will be recorded?.. Thx.. =)

Hello, Miss Catherina. I am honored by your attention and reply.
You must know, Miss Catherina, we who buy your music players are not strictly music listeners. We love music and we love to sing along with our music. You seem to have small regard on this. In fact, it's one of the major features I am looking for in an Mp3 player. My answer might be displeasing if you would ask me why then did I buy a Creative Mp3 player if I knew it didn't have that feature. But I actually trust Creative much when it comes to sound quality and digital products. And if your Zen Micro just didn't really look that nice and cute. ;-) Anyway, I'm saying this LYRICS feature is really great--would be really great. And I'm not actually just saying a lyrics-display feature, I'm saying a TXT-VIEWING functionality, so you can read long .txt files on it from your Notepad. Your player would be as good as PalmPad, I think. Wouldn't you like that advantage? mpio's HD300 (and HD200 firmware upgradable) has that feature...
Miss Catherina, I hope you can help us get this feature... PLEASE! We beg you.

  • Advice re: whether to get the Air

Ok- here is my situation- right now i have a macbook pro (less than a year old) that is my main and only computer- and a friend has offered to buy it from me if i want to purchase the Air
Since the Air has come out I have been very much wanting it because of the lightweight feature (that is what I like most about it- i had almost purchased Sony's lightweight one, but that one is too expensive), and the only thing that i have concern about is that the hard drive seems to have a much smaller capacity than my macbook pro.
Mostly I use my macbook pro for word processing, powerpoint, and internet/emailing and such. Oh yes, I do copy my music cds, and sometimes watching movie dvds (since i don't have a television to do that stuff).
So, any helpful advice would be great on whether or not the Air would be good as a main and only computer and what model is best and options (external drive and such). Thanks

for the usage you describe, it'll do what you want, but by the time you've added the external drive, a basic mac book would only weigh about a pound more than the mba, and is much better in terms of features (built in drive, built in ethernet, firewire, bigger disk, faster, much cheaper, etc.)
but of course if you leave the drive behind, the weight difference is two pounds, mba vs. mb
the only practical reason to buy an mba is the weight, aside from that it is lacking power/features when compared to even the basic macbook, let alone a macbook pro
but it'll easily handle the tasks you describe, so it just depends how much you value the weight saving
apple doesn't like posts discussing rumours of future developments, but this site might help you assess whether this is the right time to buy...

  • I inadvertently put an SD card in the DVD drive! Any suggestions as to how and get the SD card out?

I inadvertently placed an SD card in the DVD drive on my Imac. Any suggestions on getting it out?

Have a look at this short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpwDfpH4hR0
Looks easy-peasy. I'd turn the Mac off first if I was doing it.

  • I am deciding whether to get the macbook pro retina (base model) or the fully customized macbook air. Opinions on which one I should get?

I am trading in my 2009 macbook pro so now I am trying to pick the one I want. I stream a lot of movies and tv shows off of netflix but otherwise I'm just an average computer user.

    Cores and speed ...
Multiply cores by the speed to get "maximum therotical processing power".  Example:
    2.8 dual = 5.6 max
    2.2 quad = 8.8 max
Plus quad-core usually have hyper-threading which can double that maximum speed.  And quad-core systems have slightly faster internal caches and other memory buses.
In theory.  Usually even the heaviest programs will not max out, but it will have a higher maximum.
If you can afford the quad-core, it gives a bit longer usable life.

How do i get the tool option to return so that i can convert a PDF to word

First thing to try: uninstall, then reinstall the latest Reader version.
If that does not solve the problem, provide some information on your operating system, Reader version, etc.

  • Zen micro suggesti

so i just got a new zen micro becuase my other one was freezing. so i want to know what i should do to make it stay healthy and stuff. like, which programs i should and shouldnt use, which firmware to put on it, and so on. any suggestions would be fine. thanks.

I have PFS firmware and MTP mediasource/zen explorer updates on mine. I have not had any software issues. However, I did pop for Notmad Explorer because I wanted absolutely true drag and drop capabilities. I still use the Zen Micro software to rip my cds though. I upgraded everything as soon as I bought my player. No freezes, or whatever. Maybe it's fallout from my prayers for my headphone jack ;-)
