Plug in demo deletion

I have downloaded some plug in demos over the last few months to test them out. a few of them i have decided I don't want and want to get rid of them as plug ins. How do i delete them so they won't appear in Logic as plug ins?

You should be aware of:
/Library/Audio
/Users/you/Audio
This is where the system puts audio related stuff.
So, your AudioUnit plugins will either be in:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
/Users/you/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
So, either use the plugins installer to uninstall it (if it has one), or manually delete the *.component files from the two above locations.
Note - also check the VST/Mas and other plugin folders, as many plugins install multiple versions for other apps (although Logic doesn't use these).

when this vi ("PlugPlayDemo.vi") is provided by the cdrom coming with your scope then all subvis needed by this vi should be contained on this cd too...

Can't find Adobe reader plug in to delete

I'm all up to date with OS X software updates and the new Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.3 but the Safari plug is being invoked, which I don't want. can't find it in Internet plug ins in the library - any hints please?

Sorry - that hidden library gets me every time. Found and deleted. (I won't start on the hidden library issue)

Acrobat retains plug-ins after deletion

I have installed Acrobat Pro 8.1 and added upgrades for 8.1.1 and 8.1.2.
This is with Vista Home Premium.
I added some plug-ins eg pitstop and then uninstalled them. They are not in the plug-ins directory or on any drive, however Acrobat still has them working?
I also have a problem when I click help, I get no drop down and the program stops working?

I have found the api Using advanced search method and ticking the box "Include non-indexed, hidden and system files" option.
It found
C:\Users\Ian\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins\...
Now I do have a virtual machine loaded to run XP programs that fail in vista I must have once had acrobat on it with these plug-ins then I removed acrobat, so now when I look at it I see no acrobat and think it is clean, but there it is! Even now if I look at c:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\plug_ins in the XP virtual machine I see nothing infact there is no Acrobat 8 at all, but this file remains!
So If I go to vista, as me, delete that file when acrobat runs the plug-ins have gone.

Premeire Pro is trying to load a 3rd party plug in i deleted

okay, so i downloaded the trial version of prodads plug in called mercalli. its for steadying up that shaky footage. i just wanted to see how well it did. i downloaded it once and couldn't get it to load. i unistalled and then deleted all the files and folders relating to prodad and mercalli. but still, everytime i load up premiere. at the very beginning before you can open up at projects or anything a box pops up and says cannot load/find file pro dad video shaker.dll why is it doing this? i thought i unistalled and deleted everything? what should i do to make this go away? please help me guys. thanks alot! i appreciate it.

okay, nevermind guys. i fixed it. it was another bonus plug in called video shaker that i didn't delete. it was hiding deep within the adobe folders. haha but i found it. thanks though. i just found these forums so im sure i'll be back!

Plugging in iPod deletes my mac's Documents

I have a 5th generation iPod classic and a 2006 black macbook running Leopard. I am in college and thus don't live at home, but my iPod's library is synced to the iTunes library of my home computer, which is a PC. I forgot my charger when I last came back here and so I've been using my computer and my iPod's USB cable to charge my iPod (I have done this randomly in the past when needed without issue - this is not the first time).
My problem is that when I plug my iPod into my mac, it deletes random sets of files. For example, the first time I did it, I came back and all of my iTunes was completely refreshed; all of my playlists, music, etc. did not show up, although I did get all of my music back (it was just in the music file). The strange part was that iTunes acted as if this was my first time using it and asked me to click those agreements as a first time user, etc. It didn't occur to me that the iPod had probably done this because I had charged it off this in the past without a problem, however I now think that it did. I just tried to charge my ipod using my macbook again and it moved my dock around (I believe to the original position) and deleted all my files in the "standard" (Documents, Photos, etc.) folders. I have searched for items that were lost in spotlight and they are not showing up. I have no idea what to do, and frankly, I'm frustrated that this is happening in the first place.

Plug-ins manage/delete in OS X applications

How can I delete a plug-in in Yosemite applications such as Mail? I have looked everywhere in Mail, including Preferences but there is no mention of plug-ins and how to manage them. Any ideas? Thanks..

You should find any plugins for Apple's Mail application in the folders described in this article -
OS X: Third-party plugins for Mail may no longer work after updating OS X
Specifically -
Third-party Mail plugins are normally stored in the following folders:
~/Library/Mail/Bundles
/Library/Mail/Bundles

I have the bizcoaching virus. It's only a problem in firefox. I'm on a mac. I can't get rid of it. There's nothing related in exts. or plug ins to delete.

There's a lot of info of destroying the virus on a pc, but can't find equivalent for mac.

UAD Powered Plug-Ins with Logic Pro?

I am considering the Apollo Twin http://www.uaudio.com/twin audio interface and am wondering if anyone has had any luck using their UAD Powered Plug-ins in Logic Pro? Thanks.

Auto Tune 5 Demo + Garage Band Issues

Okay so I have an issssue. I have been using Garage Band 3 and trying out the Auto Tune 5 AU Plug-in Demo for the last few days. I had it assigned to be used in one of my tracks in a project i've been working on. Now, the demo has expired. When I attempt to open my project (that uses auto-tune), an auto-tune dialogue comes up informing me that the demo has expired. Okay cool, but then after I exit this box Garage Band has an error and exits.
I'm not sure what to do at this point, as I have deleted every trace of auto-tune using spotlight, both in the plug in folders and in the original downloaded files.

hmm i believe i already deleted the folder from there. i checked it out and its non existant.
when i search both terms in spotlight: antares, and auto-tune, both return with no results.
any other tips? is there a way to manage the plug ins with garage band within the program?
NOTE: I am able to access garage band if I enter a project that does NOT use the auto-tune functionality.

Safari Won't Open--Acid Search Plug-in Not Found

My Safari has refused to open for quite sometime, but I've just now got around to fixing it. (I guess I'm getting used to Firefox.) Everytime I attempt to open it, the icon bounces on the dock and then says: "The application Safari quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the AcidSearch plug-in."
I've tried to find the Acid Search plug-in to delete it,
(Home > Library > Application Support > SIMBL
Home > Library > InputManagers > SIMBL)
but there's nothing in these folders. I attempted to download the Acid Search installer, but I couldn't figure out how to uninstall it. After reinstalling the Acid Search, I still couldn't find the plug-in on my computer.
I'm at a loss for what to do next to get rid of Acid Search! Please help!

Updated my iPod and all the music that was on it got deleted.

I plugged my iPod in to update it as usual, but when it said it was complete and I unplugged it.. I realized all the music on my iPod is GONE. Nothing is left on it at all.
My music and videos are still on iTunes, but I dont understand what happened to the music on my ipod.
I tried restarting my computer and my iPod, but no luck
Help please?

If your iPod still has the files on it, but it's not showing them under songs, I think you can do this;
First, Set it to Disk Mode by;
Hold, then un-Hold (the switch at the top). Now hold down the Menu and Select buttons at once. iPod should turn off. When it's turning back on (it does this automatically), hold down Select and Play/Pause. This enters Disk Mode.
Now, Plug In and Delete;
Access the iPod as a hard drive and delete everything there. Make sure you can see the iPod_Control folder - delete that as well.
Finally;
Eject the iPod Drive, and hold down Menu and Select to exit disk mode. Let it reboot, connect to your computer, use iTunes to restore. Then, reload your music onto your iPod using your iTunes library.

Is the IOS 7.0.2 music app deleting albums for anyone else when they try to play them?

Ever since updating to iOS 7.0.2 when I play music on my iPhone 5 it's skips through the songs and deletes the album/artists selected.
I have tried plugging into iTunes, deleting all music and transferring it all back but after a few days the problem came back

Yep - deleting anything that's not purchased on itunes when I try to play it.
This is terrible, and especially a pain when they're things like limited edition albums where tracks are only available direct, so going for iTunes match is not gonna help.
Only other variable to consider is that I installed the "Groove" app to try out a few weeks ago, and played music with it twice. Highly doubt this is related, however non-iTunes purchased tmusic tracks also show up there and now *crash the phone* when I try to play them so it's something system-wide.

Advertisement Demo

I need to embed a streaming video preceded by a disclaimer. The Advertisement plug-in demo at the below address seems to fit the bill:

I downloaded Strobe Media Playback from:

Next, I tried to recreate the demo by downloading the page and the accompanying javascript files. I couldn't find the plug-in file anywhere except http://osmf.org/dev/latest/AdvertisementPlugin.swf, so I just saved the file from Firefox (I've never tried that before with an SWF file, but it seemed to work).
So, with all of the files in place, and correcting the paths within the JavaScript, I have the videos playing with various parameters, but I cannot successfully load any ads. Each of the videos loads just as in the demo, but the ads simply don't appear. It seems to me that the plug-in's SWF file is not loading, and nothing I have tried has worked.
Here are my questions:
- Is saving the SWF file within a browser a valid way of acquiring the plug-in SWF?
- Is there more to installing this plug-in than putting the SWF in the right place?
- The parameter showVideoInfoOverlayOnStartUp is also not working; I don't need this, but are the issues related?
- Is there a simpler way to embed a video with a pre-roll ad?

Although it was not my initial intention to become engrossed in learning video player development, I have none-the-less been on this journey for awhile testing out basic Flex builds and then moving on to a trial of Flash Builder and OSMF. Still a newcomer to flex/flash, my true goal is to find a non-branded video player “widget” that can be configured via object/embed tags to play copyrighted video content along with pre-roll and post-roll ads. I’m not looking to re-invent the wheel, but simply to satisfy this requirement. Perhaps you are aware of an existing player(s) that will suit this need?
I’ve recently been looking into the VAST/MAST plugins and am wondering if this might be the way to go? These seem centered around flexibility with third party providers, which is not my intention at this juncture, although it could become useful down the road. From what I understand, it would require some reconfiguration of my web application to generate XML files in the correct format to feed to the plugin.
Currently, we are using .flv format for both our videos and advertisements. No real basis for this, and it could be changed as our understanding of the best practices surrounding compatibility, quality, and other unknowns are clarified.

WAVEBURNER - Deleting Plugins often doesn't work.

I'm having great difficulty in deleting plug-ins from the region plug-in panels. One is just supposed to select the plug and hit DELETE.
Well this intermittently works, and I sit here and look dumb in front of clients while I can't remove a plug! I'll hit delete many times.... then, suddenly, it works. This last time I've fussed with it for several minutes. It doesn't seem to have any relation to logic (pardon the pun)
I really wish the designers of the new Waveburner had really stuck to the HUI of the old system 9 version. This product has the potential to really kick butt, but it seems so incomplete. And this one doesn't RECORD!
And all the key commands have changed. WHY?
Is there a place to log the bugs? Is anyone listening? It just seems so under-tested.
