Plug in error make firefox crash or freeze

I have windows 7 and firefox was working fine until 2 weeks ago. My browser is up to date and I have the last version of firefox. Now it does this or is going to shut off and a pop windows is coming up saying "plugin container for Firefox stop working app crash 36.0.0.5531" or the server freeze for a couple of seconds and than is going back to normal. Is really annoying since is happening every 5 minutes. Any solutions?
Here is what is coming up:

  • Firefox crashes or freezes unexpected while watching/using flash contents

    Firefox crashes or freezes unexpected while watching/using flash contents. Particularly, when I need any flash content. It freezes up so that the only option will be to force quit the firefox.

    I've noticed the crashing increasing with the newer versions. The worst thing is when I'm writing a long email and then go to a page with flash and ff locks up and then crashes. I use IE now for most flash content or mission critical emailing but IE's interface is poorly laid out so I don't like it. I've tried FF with the plugin container and without it and it crashes either way (more often without the container). I use adblock and firebug. I wonder if ppl experiencing this prob are using those plugins too.

  • Flash makes firefox crash

    Topic kinda says it all; any websites which contains flash makes firefox crash. I believe the problem started 1-2 days ago. I'm clueless, I don't remember there has been any related updates.
    I've tried to move ~/.mozilla somewhere else, and reinstall flashplugin, which not fixed the problem.
    Oh yeah.. opera DOES NOT crash with flash.
    Thanks in advance.

    Aha! That's what I do, yes. Is there anything I can do against this, except for not wrapping it with aoss? Because I quite like how software mixing worked out of the box for me on arch
    I described it here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … highlight=

    It would be nice if someone would add a howto or smth to set firefox to use sound with dmix

  • My Firefox crashes and freezes quite a bit. Can I delete the previous Firefox downloads when I update to a newer version?

    I have the latest version of Firefox and it freezes and crashes. I was wondering if the other versions of Firefox I have downloaded is causing this. Can I delete the previous versions without affecting the current one?

  • ICloud makes Firefox crash. Any solutions to this?

    Hey!
    I've been using iCloud Bookmarks on my PC for a long time, with Firefox. It has always worked like a charm. Of course it hasn't been like using my Mac with iCloud, but it works. But a couple of weeks ago it started to make my Firefox crash. I don't know if the problem is some recent updates by Firefox, or what's wrong. Has anybody experienced something like this?

    Try to keep you plugins up to date to make sure that there are no issues:
    *[[Update Firefox to the latest version]]

    However based on the recent comments of the add on: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/icloud-bookmarks/?src=search] you are not the only one. I would recommend contacting the developer of the add on for more information.

  • Win 7 High Contrast makes Firefox Crash. Solution?

    I've been using Windows 7 about two weeks. I couldn't read the screen with either the Win7 or Win Classic themes. Things looked too washed out. I switched to a high-contrast theme. Every time I tweak that, however, Firefox crashes. It shows in Task Manager as "Not Responding" and I can't go to any open page. Is there a way to stop this? In fact, high contrast in Win 7 makes all my pages in FF render oddly. Can I get FF 3.6 to stop processing the high contrsast theme and render pages as they are supposed to be?
    Thanks.
    Ken

    Hi, Yes I think that Service Pack may have caused a glitch. Do you have Flash Player Installed in IE?
    When you say you Uninstalled Flash Player & Shockwave, are you speaking of Shockwave Player, or are you referring to Shockwave the plugin?
    Let me now on that and then we can proceed.
    Thanks,

  • Can adding RAM to PC Memory can make firefox crash?

    Last night, I just upgrade my PC RAM memory from 2gb to 4gb, with 2gb kingston pc5300 + 2gb AMC pc5300, since then my firefox crashes, and FYI other internet browser crashes too.
    Are they correlated, memory upgrade & firefox crash?
    Thx

    It is possible that the two makes are not compatible with each other. You can try to swap the two banks or test with only the last modules that you added to see if that still causes crashes.

  • Ntdll.dll application error makes itunes crash

    Itunes keeps crashing every 30 minutes to 2 hours since more than 2 years now (!!)
    according to the event log of XP there's an application error in module ntdll.dll
    I have searched the internet for quite some time for a fix for this problem but there doesn't seem to be a clear one.
    Help would be really appreciated!

    Okay ... not the malware thing that was causing trouble at the beginning of the year. (On the other hand, as well as citing ntdll.dll, that used to always stop people from launching iTunes and quicktime.)
    It's relatively rare to see ntdll.dll show up in this context (and probably even rarer to see it only cropping up sometimes), so we'll proceed on a basic principles troubleshooting basis.
    ntdll.dll is one of the core Windows operating system files related to handling drivers, so we'd better check on driver, firmware and so forth.
    If you've got a name-brand PC, check first at the Manufacturer's website for drivers, firmware and BIOS for your system. If you've added third-party components to the system since then, check for driver updates for those components at the component-manufacturer's website.
    If you've got a custom/homw-built system, check at the manufacturer's webpages for drivers/firmware/BIOS for the various components. There's some advice in the following document:
    [Updating the drivers on your Windows PC|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1768]
    If you update, does iTunes seem more stable for you? (A bit tricky to tell, of course, given that it doesn't happen right away.

  • Firefox crashes or freezes when Yahoo messenger is open

    So I just updated to the most recent version a few days ago, and have been forced to use IE because I can't keep firefox open while Yahoo messenger is open, which always is because I stay on there in case someone needs to contact me. I may just try installing an older version until this problem gets resolved, but was hoping for some input.

  • Everytime I close Firefox, it aks me if I want to send a Crash Report as if closing with the "X" icon would make Firefox crash.

    Title says all

    No, I don't have McAfee installed, but with about:crashes, I was able to see other threads with same crash report and it seems that the Skype AddOn is the problem. After a couple tests, it does seem to work correctly.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Firefox crash stops Safari from connecting to internet

    Since my Firefox 2.0.0.9 crashed last week, I have had very odd problems with my WiFi (Earthlink through an Apple Airport). Network Diagnostics says everything is okay, but Safari can no longer connect to the internet, and after Firefox crashes I can not even send Apple an error report. Yet I can get online with Firefox, as I am now.
    The problem apparently started EITHER when I upgraded to the latest Firefox or when I tried to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/> (or both). After Firefox crashed multiple times while trying to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/>, I opened Safari, which would not connect.
    I ran Network Diagnostics which said everything is fine. But Firefox continually crashes trying to place an order at <http://www.senacases.com/>, Safari continues not connecting, Network Diagnostics continues to say everything is fine, and now I can't file an Apple Error Report and trying to connect to some of the library services at Notre Dame (something I have always been able to do before), makes Firefox crash.
    The only other possible symptom I have noticed is that I could not connect to a Late Show video this morning. Otherwise, I can browse the web in Firefox, I can pick up my email with Entourage, etc.
    How do I fix this?

    In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".
    See "Firefox connection settings" in [[Server not found]]
    You can find the connection setting here: Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
    If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select ''No Proxy'
    Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
    Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.
    See [[Server not found]] and [[Firewalls]] and http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firewalls

  • When firefox crashes I lose all of my pinned sites.

    When Firefox crashes or freezes and has to be closed, I lose all of my pinned sites. Why are these saved somewhere?

    App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data [1] in the file sessionstore.js [2] in the Firefox profile folder [3].
    Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Clear+Recent+History
    * [1] http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore
    * [2] http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
    * [3] http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox
    It is also possible to use:
    * [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences Firefox/Tools > Options] > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
    If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then make sure that Session is unchecked in the settings for the Firefox application.

  • Firefox keeps freezing then crashing and a window opens saying "The Plug-In container for Firefox has stopped working..."

    Every 5 minutes or so Firefox will freeze and if I'm on a website that uses the flash player the ads and what not will stop and an error thing replaces them and says Adobe Flash Player has crashed. Then a window pops up and says "The Plug-In container for Firefox has stopped working..." or something like that. Then my laptop will work slower until Firefox crashes. Any solutions ?
