Plug in to audio

After you use one of the plug in synths, insted of freezeing it, is there a way to bounce it to a audio track.

If it's a short section, select the region, then select export region as audio file from the file menu.
If it's the whole track for the entire length of the song, select the track, then choose export track as audio file.

  • Audio plug ins (stillwell audio) appear even after deleted

I had some stillwell audio plug ins, they didnt ned them anymore so i deleted them, did a system search and deleted all the files that have to relate to stillwell plug ins, then went on to ableton and logic(I installed logic after the start of the iusse) and they still appeared and are still fully functional, so I went on searching for these files even deeper and couldent find them, they dont exist when i search them. so i contacted stillwell customer service and they listed how to find the files and i did all what they said and it still shows up, so now im asking the apple community, DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHATS GOING ON!!
    thanks, teliik

    Hello TELIIK,
It sounds like you just did a search for the plug-ins, but I found an article that tells you exactly where to look for these plug-ins:
Finding Audio Units plug-ins on your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1295
The important part of this article states:
The Apple Audio Units plug-ins are built into the operating system and do not appear as discrete files. Plug-ins from other manufacturers appear as individual components on your hard disk. They may be found in two places:
    /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components ("~" represents your home directory.)
The ~/Library is a hidden folder in Lion and Mountain Lion.  You can find instructions for accessing it here:
OS X Mountain Lion: What is the Library folder?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11395
The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library.
I hope this helps you locate those those plug-ins!
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • Cannot see my plugged in USB audio device (Schiit Loki DAC)

I can not see my plugged in USB audio device (Schiit Loki DAC).  Can anyone help?

According to the manufacturer, Loki does not need any driver to work with Mac.  Funny thing is, I tried it on an old Macbook runing OS X Version 10.4.6 and it worked! Schiit Loki showed up in both Sound and Midi settings.  I then took the Loki to the local Apple Store and tried it on their new Macbook Air (same as mine running OS X 10.9.1 and it failed again.  The Macbook Air just could not see my device at all.
Talked with one of their technical experts and he just told me to get a driver from the manufacturer, he wasn't very helpful.  I am about to give up: convinced that Loki simply will not work with Macbook Air for some reason.  If anyone had an experience that showed otherwise, I would be very happy to know.  Thanks for helping.

  • Mail starts to play send/receive sounds whenever I plug in a audio cable into the macbook pro

    Hi,
    I have this strange bug:
I have Mail running and I plug in an audio cable into the audio out jack. Then Mail starts to play send and receive sounds endlessly. Then I have to quit Mail and start it again. Then everything is fine. I think I can live with that, but it's also kind of annoying. Any hints?
    Thanks!
    Daniel

  • My Macbook Pro crashes when I plug in m-audio fast track ultra

    Hey Friends
I want to know if anyone of you who use a m-audio audio interface has the problem of your computer crashing, then having to restart, when you plug it into the usb drive. It started happening to me when I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and is still doing it on Maverick. I've placed the error report below since I don't understand it, to see if someone could help me figure out why.
    Thanks

    Hi monicaxh1,
Here is an article of troubleshooting for when your iPod does not appear in iTunes:
    iPod not appearing in iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3716
The issues you are seeing may be connected, so I would try this troubleshooting first.

  • M-Audio Black Box Interface.  Acoustic guitar. No sound on monitor or on playback.  Tried every setting known to man, except the one that must work.  I appear to be recording - green lines in upper left.  Can hear it on headphones plugged into M-Audio.  ?

M-Audio Black Box with Acoustic/electric guitar plugged in.  No sound on monitor or playback in GB.  Have tried every setting I can imagine.  Seems to recording because I have green bars in the upper left and can hear it on headphone into the M-Audio.  Record volume in GB not active - but I'm guessing the M-Audio cancels that.  Any ideas?  Help wanted.  Thanks.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • Help - missing "External" plug-in for Audio Instruments

I am trying to set up some external MIDI devices. I understand that the "external" plug-in is available to audio instruments for this purpose. However, when I try to select the plugin in the I/O area for an audio instrument, it does not exist. I have researched this on the web, and cannot find anybody else having the same problem. I have tried verifying permissions and deleting the preferences, but it makes no difference. As far as I can tell, all of the other plugins are available.
Im running Logic 7.1.1. Can anybody provide an answer (that does not involve re-installing or re-imaging), or give me a clue how to go about troubleshooting this?
    Thanks very much.
    Nick.

    when
I try to select the plugin in the I/O area for an
audio instrument, it does not exist.
Do you have audio inputs enabled on your audio card configuration app?

  • ITunes launches every time I plug into the audio jack...

How do I stop this from happening? About 80% of the time when I plug in my stereo cable or headphones, iTunes just launches and starts playing. Most of the time it won't stop until I remove the audio cable.
It started when Snow Leopard first came out, and I figured they'd fix it with each subsequent software update. Wrong.
How do I just get it to STOP, besides throwing iTunes in the trash (where iTunes belongs, in my opinion, anyway). Throwing it away is not an option though, because I need iTunes to sync my mobile devices .
Would anyone know how to stop iTunes from launching whenever it **** well pleases?

Would love to see a solution for that. It is a really annoying bug.

  • No plug-ins for audio tracks other than 1-4

I have a problem. I am wanting to record mulitple audio tracks and use plug-ins, this is fine for tracks 1-4, however any other audio tracks don't have the 'R' button in between the solo and mute buttons and the channel strip panel on the left hand side has no inserts, sends I/O button or anything!
I called the logic helpline but they were no good at all, if anything they were down right rude towards me so I wouldn't sugegst phoning them any time soon!
Anybody got any suggestions that'd be great as I am currently doing my university coursework and this is kinda vital!

Clang - you do come across as rude. If the person
wanted to read the manual - yep you guessed it - they
wouldve already done that. Telling users on here to
RTFM is useless, and is pointless as well. Forums are
all about helping each other, some people just want
to get their answers this way, and there's really
nothing wrong with that. Its the spirit of being
supportive - thats what this place is all about.
Please dont tell anyone else here to RTFM, that
doesnt work at all mate, and comes across as hostile.
I see a pattern evolving from the mist...you are afraid of the letters:
    RTFM!!!
Now,ask yourself, how did your post telling some other guy off about the RTFM,help the OP?? In no way. That's how.I might be rude,I might have a sarastic sense of humour, but I never tell posters to not read the manual. It's there for a reason. Many trees died so that the manual could be there for them.At least respect those poor dead trees.
    (More sense of humour...) :P

  • Problem when plugging in M-Audio into USB port

    Hi there,
Whenever I plug in my M-Audio Fast Track Ultra into the USB drive, the screen greys out and it comes up with a message that I have to restart by holding down the power button.
Once I've done this it works fine, and there are no issues while using the interface (with Logic 9), and I've tried it on both USB drives.
Any ideas of what I can do to stop this from happening/whether it's a problem with the computer or the interface?
    My laptop  specs are below.
    Thank you in advance...
    Michael
Processor  2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

    Hello Pjgordon7, Welcome to discussions.
Below are a couple articles that may assist with this. They are written for iPhone/iPod Touch but they may assist you with the iPod Classic as well. If not I have also posted some other suggestions below.

-Check E-machines vendor website for possible updates not only to USB drivers but any other drivers that may need updating like camera software, video card software, etc. They can advise what is needed for your machine.
-If you are connecting iPod Classic to front USB ports. Try using some of the USB Ports on the back of the machine.
-Disconnect any un-needed USB Devices and only connect iPod Classic
I do hope some of this information is able to assist you today. Post back if needed.

  • Plug stuck in audio output

the tip of an old plug came off INSIDE the audio output of my macbook. Gosh it is a small small hole, and I can't find tweezers small enough to get the thing out. Any suggestions short of taking the entire machine apart?
    Thanks!

    Success!!!!!
I know, by reading other forums, that I am not the only person who has had this problem. Splinter forceps on their own were just not skinny enough to reach in and grab the piece of metal. However, today I had the inspiration to take a metal file and file the forceps until they WERE thin enough. 10 minutes of filing, and voila, success!

  • I'm trying to plug an external audio device (tape deck) into the audio input. In the sound preferences pane I'm only getting the built in microphone as an option. I tried restarting without effect. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

For some reason the option to select switch the audio port to 'input' is not coming up.
    Thanks.

If your computer is running Snow Leopard, and is not at 10.6.8, you could use
Software Update to get final Combo Update 10.6.8 v. 1.1 for Snow Leopard.
Aside from that (you may have already done so) here is a free-running
application that may help your line-in audio, by the name of LineIn
    http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/ and it suggests possibilities.
There also are USB input methods using those for audio; not sure what
is still available, a few great ones no longer were. One from Belkin a few
years ago, called the iMic, offered great options over USB.
Hopefully the free application can help.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • How to stop iphone from autoplay when plug into car audio system usb?

how to stop iphone from autoplaying when connected to your car audio USB ?

You need to remove the association that Windows has with that particular file type. To do that, you need to open Windows Explorer. From there, click on Tools, then Folder options. Click on the tab that is named file types. You then need to find the extension for the photos that appear in the iPhone, then click that registered file type. Once you do that, there is a section to select the program to open that file type with. You can click on the change button, and that will allow you to change the program that it opens with, or restore the default. There is also a box that can be checked to always use the selected program. If you unselect it, it will prompt you next time on what program to use.
    Hope this helps.

  • AX keeps restarting/going haywire upon plugging in Ethernet/Audio jack.

    Hi all,
Just been googling around and could not figure out the root of this annoying problem:
Configurations (without Ethernet cable plugged in):
    - AX (Firmware 7.4.2) set up as an 802.11n access point (supposed to) connect to company LAN.
    - No password set up.
    - Share a public IP with subnet 192.168.10.0/24.
    Problems:
    - Without Ethernet cable plugged into the AX, My Macbook Pro can connect to the AX perfectly, Airport Utility can scan and read configurations.
    - The moment I plugin the Ethernet cable, AX seems to be restarting, then Macbook Pro lost connection, Airport Utility cannot see AX anymore. Amber light flashing
    - 10 minutes later, same thing happens - Able to see the SSID broadcasting but cannot connect, Airport Utility cannot scan. Amber light flashing
    - 20 minutes later, same thing happens - Able to see the SSID broadcasting but cannot connect, Airport Utility cannot scan. Amber light flashing
Has anyone experienced the same problem and found a solution for it?
    Regards,
    Long

I am having a similar problem - but not exactly the same as what you describe. I have two Airport Express units - one is newer 802.11n and the other is the original 802.11g. Currently my problem is with the 802.11n - I have it set up as a wired access point. It is connected to my router via ethernet and is functioning in bridge mode. It was working for about a week without any problems. Devices could connect wireless without issue. I did not use this setup extensively, but did not notice any problems. During this time I also made a lot of other network configuration changes - of which the airport express as an access point was just a small part. A few days ago I started noticing that it would disconnect regularly and restart itself. I assumed it was just because of all the router reboots and other changes that were going on - but now it seems to drop wireless connections and reboot itself on a regular basis. I have not yet tried a complete hard reset - I will do that today. I am seeing similar behavior on my neighbors Airport Express 802.11g (which I set up in a similar configuration to mine) - so I don't believe the problem is with my specific Airport Express. I will post the results of the hard reset.
