Plug-ins for Photoshop Elements 8?

When I google for plug-ins, I get a bunch of plug-in sites, but will these work for PSE8? Also, how do I intall the plug-ins? Do I just have to move them to a different folder? Sorry, I am new at this.

Regular JPEG is capable of high definition (size) images.
The "HD" in "HD Photo" is a reference to the fact that the bit depth can
greatly exceed the 8-bit limitation of regular JPEG. That's primarily
of value in high-quality photo editing, and for archiving originals.

DVD player upconversion is no better than the upconversion built-in to
any decent HD TV; i.e., it's mostly just marketing hype.

Installing Optional Plug-ins for Photoshop CS5

I have downloaded the Optional Plug-ins for Photoshop CS5 but when I double click on the zxp file I get a message:
"There is no application set to open the document “CS5 Optional Automate Plug-ins.zxp”.
I have tried selecting "choose application" in the same message window and navigating to Applications>Utilities>Adobe Installers but the only option there is greyed out.
I am using Mac OS 10.6.8.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Your windows is 32 bit or 64 bit .
If win 7 32 bit
Just copy the plugin from PSE 11 and paste it to PSE 13 plug-in folder.
If win 7 64
PSE 11 and PSE 13 are installed as a 32 and 64 bit respectively , so you need to install plug-in again.

Problem with plug-ins in Photoshop Elements 10

I imported plug-ins from CS3 to Photoshop Elements 10 plug-ins folder. Why do othey not show up in Filters in Photoshop Elements 10?

Just as a guess... they are not compatible... you need plugins that are compatible with the program you are using, not something written for a different program

Can't find Twain plug in for Photoshop Elements 12 from App store

I'm running OSX Mavericks and have purchased Photoshop Elements 12 from the App Store. I want to be able to scan things into Elements but the import option is grayed out. I've tried to follow these directions (TWAIN not installed | Photoshop Elements 9 and later) however the file path they describe does NOT exist on my Elements 12 install. There is no ImportModules folder, nor is there even an Optional Plug-Ins folder. I've tried searching (and setting the search to include hidden, system files) but they are not on my machine that I can find.
Any suggestions? I hate to kiss $80 goodbye.

In the app store version, everything is inside the program itself. Right-click PSE>show package contents>contents and you will see it. You will need to authenticate with your OS X password to be able to copy the ImportModules folder to the regular plugins folder.

Writing Import and FIle Format Plug-Ins for Photoshop CS1

Hi All,
I have written two plug-ins (Import and File Format) which work fine using CS2. Unfortunately we need to be able to have them work in CS1 too. I downed the "Adobe Photoshop CS SDK" but when when I looked at the API document ("Photoshop API Guide.pdf"), chapters 6 and 9 are missing and there is no sample code for these plug-in types.
Could anyone explain why this is?
How do I write these types of plug-in's for CS1?

I have published
GPL source code to many plugins all of which are compatible with Photoshop 3.0 through CS2, on Windows and Mac. Unless you are using CS2 specific features, the your Import and Format DLLs should already work with CS on Windows.
On the Mac, the executable format changed between CS and CS2, and you would need to build a PEF plugin for CS. MPW and CodeWarrior can do that; Xcode cannot.

Old plug-ins for new Elements

I'm running Mac OS X 5.8 (Leopard) and using iPhoto '09 as my "organizer". I just installed Elements v.10 and I'd like to know if and how to install plug-ins (On One Essentials for Elements and One-Click WOW) that I used for Elements v.4.
Will they work with the new version?

Vista Media Center plug-in for Photoshop Elements

So what is the scoop for Vista Media Center plugin? Is it still supported? Will it make it to Photoshop Elements 8?
Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I just started Media Center on my Vista 32 system, and the PSE 8 plugin was present and could open both my catalogs (though sluggishly). Beware that someone else reported they couldn't get the plugin to work (with PSE 7, I think) and that Adobe customer support said it was no longer supported. You can't trust what customer support every says (but they don't usually help you in any case).

Where is the TWAIN plug-in for Photoshop Elements 13?

I just upgraded from PE 12 to PE 13. Windows 8.1 system.
I did not see an option to import an image using Editor so I looked in the Organizer and found one. BUT, it only has WIA support for my HP scanner. And that means limited options when scanning. With PE12, I had to copy a file from an Optional Plug-ins folder to the Plug-ins folder. I cannot find an Optional Plug-ins Folder in either Editor or Organizer. Has support for TWAIN disappeared with PE13? I do a lot of scanning of my own artwork and the additional options with TWAIN are very useful.

If you have a 64 bit version of windows, there is no more TWAIN in PSE 13, only in the 32-bit version and the mac version.

I just installed Photoshop CC. I have been using CS6 with some plug in from topaz and others. How do I get the plug ins into PS CC?

Possible to make plug-ins for Photoshop using Dreamweaver?

With the new cc 2014, I have been doing a little bit of research into how to structure a plugin for my workflow when I animate. I've been reviewing the cc 2014 sdk guide and I have been wondering if it is possible to use Dreamweaver cc 2014 a Photoshop cc 2014 extension for Photoshop since it's full support of html 5. In the guide it explains that almost anything you can do when making chromium extensions, you can do with Photoshop cc 2014 (or any other).
Has anyone tried this?

Dreamweaver is web authoring software for creating HTML, CSS and other client-side and server-side code.
Photoshop is a totally separate graphics app for creating images, not code.
Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't see how you could use DW to build a PS plugin.

Exactly which RAW plug-in for Photoshop Elements 6, Windows 7, and Pentax Kx?

I have become very confused as to which is the latest plug in that I can use for the above combination.
5.5 appears to be OK with Elements 6 and Windows 7 but doesn't mention Pentax Kx
5.6 is OK with Windows 7 and the Kx but seems questionable with Elements 6

OpenEXR plug-ins for CS3?

Are there any Universal Binary OpenEXR plug-ins for Photoshop CS3? The only one I can find is PowerPC only.

Photoshop CS2, CS3, and CS4 can natively read and write OpenEXR.
The plugin is on the CD with the optional file formats.
