Plug Ins to export to Beta SP, Digibeta, Beta SX

Using CS5 Production Premium.
Is there a way to install a plug in to take Video and copy them to Beta SP format, Digibeta format and/or Beta SX?

This is normal, you're playing an interlaced signal on a non-interlace display. Half of it was taken 1/60 second later than the other half, and they're shown at the same time.
QT playback has a reduced quality setting which makes it look smoother but of course less sharp. For Web-only use you'll want to deinterlace.

  • No exporting plug-ins were found

My hard drive recently crashed and Apple reinstalled OSX 10.6. I brought everything back with Time machine. Now iPhoto 8.1 says there are no exporting plug-ins to export photos. I reinstalled iLife and I still have the problem. What do I do?

first download and install the 9.0.3 iLife support update - http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/application_updates/ilifesupport903. html
If that does not fix it delete the iPhoto application and the iPhoto receipts ("your hard drive" ==> library ==> receipts ==>) and reinstall iPhoto form the original disks (the restore disks that came with your computer as a custom install of bundled software only or the iLife disks if you purchased an iLife upgrade)

  • Batch file to "Disable" un-used plug-ins etc.

    Hi Folks!!
I've got into the habit (from the good old, small PC, WinXP days) of disabling with the pre-fix ~ (tilde) method, all the presets and plug-ins that I never use as soon as I install Photoshop.
Doing it manually in those days was not too much of a hardship as maybe, at worst twice a year.
Now that I've upgraded(?) to Win7, I must have done a "clean" system re-install at least once a month, the manual method is getting a bit tedious.
I'd like to have batch script(s) to automate/semi-automate the process so that I could open a command prompt at the root (C:\) and tell it to go to the swatches folder and prefix A, C, and D leaving B, E, and F untouched, then move on to the brushes folder, patterns folder, plug-ins folder etc. etc..
I've got a list of my usual "suspects", I've tried to write one myself (with no knowledge of what I'm doing) and so far I've managed to (luckily, but not repeated!!) get the first one on the list renamed followed by 50 or so "The *** path is not recognised/ The *** path is not a correct command/ The syntax is incorrect/ That's not your dog on your path" etc. etc.
Is this at all possible? I'd settle for several batch files, one for each folder, that I could just type their names in whilst looking at my pretty desktop instead of traipsing through the system folders, if that's what it takes.
    HELP!!
    Yours

I've never yet used any of the formats in PS high-lighted in green, the yellows are "very seldom used" and the rest, yes I do use. So if I can "hide" the ones I don't use, and I know I can't hide them all, the ones I do use are not hiding in a multitude of others.

  • Aperture 3 problem with export plug-ins in 32-bit mode

I have a number of export plug-ins for Aperture, the ones I use most often being flickr export and BorderFX. I restarted my laptop in safe mode to get access to the 32-bit checkbox in the Aperture info screen, and now my Aperture defaults to 32-bit when it opens. That's all well and good. However, my plug-ins still do not work. If I select BorderFX, the usual box does not pop up. The export plug-ins are then grayed out, and when I go to quit Aperture, I get the following dialog box:
"Aperture is currently exporting files. If you quit, the export task will be canceled."
If I select flickr export, the screen pops up, but then hangs on flickr authentication.
    Any ideas?

Bumping in a desperate attempt for some answers.

  • PowerCore Plug-ins aren't represented in Exports?

Maaaaaaannnnnnnnn! I was just beginning to forgive Audition CS5 for the feature-botomy it pulled on us. Is anyone else getting this problem? I use TC Electronics PowerCore plug-ins, which, similar to UAD plug-ins, are processed through an additional PCI-e card. I can enable the plug-ins in CS5.5, and even hear them while I am mixing. But when I try to export my mix, they aren't there. It sounds the same as if I had disabled all of my PowerCore plug-ins right before I exported. And it doesn't matter which of them I am using. It doesn't include any of them in the export. I have tried multiple workarounds... mixing down effects busses first, mixing down the master bus, doing an overall session export, pre-rendering tracks, etc. Doesn't work. It's all the same. A beautifully reverbed and compressed mix exports completely dry and punchless. And there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it. Can anyone else verify that this is happening, and does it affect other third-party plug-in PCI cards? Any ideas for a fix?

I have a work-around. Pre-render does nothing to solve the final issue because I think Audition re-renders all effects in export (as it should for best sound quality). My work-around is not ideal, but it does allow me to at least use CS5.5 with my current setup (albeit very inconveniently):
    1) For least annoyance, go to preferences and uncheck the box in "Effects" that stipulates that Audition should process disabled effects. This way you can have all your effects preset, and disable all of them but one or two without processing the disabled effects.
    2) Make sure you have no more than two cells of your DSP processing accessed. Then bounce down the indivual busses or tracks that have the third-party plugins in them. Do this individually, monitoring your plug-in application to make sure that it is not being asked to process more than it has capacity for. Then listen to your bounce downs to make sure they are exactly the same as the original busses or tracks (sometimes this requires "exclusive soloing" to be checked in your preferences... especially if you have pre-fader sends to effects busses). Mute the old busses and tracks and disable their effects, but don't delete them in case you need to make changes later. Then enable the next one or two effects, and keep doing this process until all the third-party plugins are represented as .wav files in the mix.
    3) Do this only at the mixdown stage... the mixing process should be unaffected for the most part. This also allows you (conceivably) to use more than just four cells of processing on a given track.
    4) On the other hand, you could have twice as many DSP chips as you needed for mixing. For instance, I could buy another PCI-e card to be used for the Export process, and then pretend I only have one card while I am mixing (yeah, right!).
Adobe could do the following to fix this problem:
    1) Allow for single-thread processing mode in mixdown.
    2) Allow for use of "Rendered" tracks during mixdown. This would be a native version of my workaround. Rather than going to the source for every export, the user could have the option of exporting the final with a combination of rendered tracks and unrendered tracks.

  • How to save down from InDesign Creative Cloud version to CS5? Have exported as .idml file but still get messages that plug-ins are missing although CS5 confirms it is fully updated.

How to save down from InDesign Creative Cloud version to CS5? Have exported as .idml file but still get messages that plug-ins are missing although CS5 confirms it is fully updated.

Yes. Thanks. I misled myself based on another post. Successfully did this by selecting "File," "Save a copy ..." then choosing "for CS4 or later (IDML)"
It required some patience and several tries, but I think that was due to hardware (memory) being overloaded by CC Cloud version or something. It was a 50 MB, 500-page file and took 17 minutes to convert/save,
Re-capping: from CCloud to CS5, don't use "Export" (to IDML); use "Save as" or "Save a copy" and select "for CS4 or later (IDML)".
    Advice much appreciated.

  • No exporting plug-ins can be found  -  huh?

I have NEVER seen this before.
I have obviously lost the plug-ins needed to export my pictures.
Can someone please help me get them back?
    Thanks,
    Dwaine

Wow. You certain described the problem correctly in your first post. I've never heard of such a thing.
You might wish to try repairing permissions or using DiskWarrior (if you have it).
My next suggestion is to completely reload the iPhoto app from your iLife CD/DVD. To do that, you need to first remove everything that's on your HD. Most of it is easy (drag the app folder to the trash) but you'll need to do a search for the ".pkg" file. I'm not at my Mac right now but the correct name is probably iPhoto.pkg or something darned similar. That file tells the OS that the app is loaded and, if you forget to remove it, the OS won't let you reload.

  • I get hangs using plug-ins (NIK), and can't export (hangs/crashes). Anyone experiencing this?

Updated Aperture today (3.4.3) running 10.8.2. Now I get hangs using plug-ins (NIK), and can't export (hangs/crashes). Anyone experiencing this?

    Andrew,
In general, I've found the Nik plug-ins to be the least problematic of all that I use. Unfortunately you haven't provided enough information so that help can be focused on your problem. So here are some of the standard steps to take.
    1. Make sure you are running Nik's latest versions. There were earlier ones that didn't work properly with ML.
    2. Which plug-ings are the problem?
    3. Have you tried the repair/rebuild option on your Aperture database? Often what appears to be problems with      a 3rd party item actually stem from some sort of fault in the database.
    4. If you're really stuck do the following steps: A. Delete the Nik plug-ings. B. Repair/rebuild the database. C.      Download Nik's latest versions. D. Reinstall. E. Test.
This is a generic problem solving approach that fixes many things. Also, you should examine if it is a particularly type of file or set of photos or something specific in the images you are working on. A corrupt image, for example, can produce really weird things on occasion.
Hopefully some of this is useful. If not, more detail is needed.

  • CS3 Public Beta - MacTel - Plug-Ins

How many developers have downloaded the CS3 public beta?
How many developers have downloaded the CS3 public beta SDK?
How many developers have their plug-ins running natively on MacTel? UniversalBinary?
I would like to hear your pain points and what I can do in the SDK to make life easier for future developers trying to move from CodeWarrior to XCode.
One big pain point I know of is debugging. Trying to debug a plug-in in XCode is very difficult. Does anyone have any tricks they can share? I know of two: 1) become a gdb expert (not an easy task), 2) use DebugStr(foo); and that will stop XCode if you have Break on DebugStr turned on.

Debugging works for me using the following:
    - ALL binaries involved are for a single platform, including XCode, the debugger, and the host. I only get it working for intel binaries on intel machines involving all intel apps. Trying to debug PS in PPC mode for PPC plugin binary on intel fails. The debugger then reports that it can not determine the binary type of the executable (PS).
    - Photoshop points to the build directory to look for the plugin binary. I have my build directory set to a custom repository folder, so it does not necessarily have to be the project folder as far as I can tell.
    - Obviously, a plugin project requires an added executable = Photoshop. I have no additional settings, vars or scripts.
    - In the XCode project settings, make sure that ALL optimization options are OFF. These are not OFF by default, even though the projects come with a default "debug" setting.
TIP: You can select the project file and make settings, and you can select the target file and make settings. The latter overwrites the former. I have the target settings set to have NO custom settings whatsoever. This ensures that there is only one place where I make settings which are dense enough as it is...
    - Breaking works on the first invocation of the plugin only. With subsequent invocations the link is lost, which I presume has something to do with PS unloading the binary. I recall a similar problem back in the old days of components where a glue component was suggested to do your own loading and unloading of code.
    As for pains:
My biggest issue currently is obsolescence of the host technology for Filter plugins.
    - When processing events in the plugin GUI, I frequently receive the same event during host callbacks while I'm still processing the initial event.
    - In addition the host still requires a Quickdraw environment which isn't really available anymore.
    - If display pixels would support some additional bit depths, it would significantly reduce the complexity of plugin GUIs and the number of internal plugin buffers. It would also overcome the problem of displaying 32bit linear data...!
    On the Apple OS side:
    - I have implemented a GUI in Cocoa which works fine (don't tell Chris ;-) ). However, there is a problem with inter window communication.
In general I also believe that the FilterRecord struct is getting a bit aged and overcrowded. A newly designed and more robust interface might be welcome. Splitting up certain functions between new types of filter plugins perhaps...
Oh, and did I mention re-entrancy yet?

  • Mass Export of Regions with Plug-ins

    Hey guys,
I've been working on a project, and now what I need to do is export 100 or so regions on 1 track with the plug-ins.
Since I've got about 15 tracks of roughly 100 or so regions, it gonna tack awhile to export them one by one.
Does anybody know a way where I can export all the regions on a track into audio files, with the plug-ins enabled aswell?; I also need the names of the regions to stay the same aswell.
If anybody can help me that would be great.
    Thanks

Hmm, I'd probably, in a test project, move the regions to new tracks (one track per region) and then do the bounce in place function, which will get you the bounced audio files batch bounced.
Then I'd probably trick Logic's file handling to load in the new audio files in place of the existing ones, by manually locating the missing files in the new location.
It's a bit tedious though - out of interest, why do you need to do this, in place of a simple freeze or track bounce? Is this for exporting to someone else?

  • In CS4, "Cannot open file" "Please upgrade your plug-ins..."

    Greetings,
I am using InDesign CS4 on a PC. I am trying to open an .indd file created by our marketing department. I don't know what version of InDesign they use nor whether they work on Macs or PCs.
When I double-click to open the file, I get a "Cannot Open File" popup box. The box reads "Cannot open docname.indd. Please upgrade your plug-ins to their latest versions, or upgrade to the latest version of Adobe InDesign." It then lists 18 different plugins:
    ASSIGNMENTS.RPLN
    TEXT.RPLN
    SPREAD.RPLN
    MASTER PAGE.RPLN
    TEXT ATTRIBUTES.RPLN
    .... and 13 more.
When I go to Help > Configure Plug-Ins, I can see that I do have all of these plug-ins. But apparently they are not the latest versions.
Anyone know how I can update these plugins? I have searched for them on the Adobe website, but no joy.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jen

It's a safe bet that they are working in CS5. The only way to get those plugins is to install CS5 on your machine.
You could ask your marketing department to export an IDML file from CS5, which you can open up in CS4, but it might fail horribly (and it's guaranteed to lay out incorrectly if they've used any tools in CS5 that aren't in CS4). If you rely on this workflow, by regularly using a document going back and forth between CS5 and CS4, chances are very, very good that it will fail at a critical moment. The only really safe thing to do here is to get everyone using the same version of InDesign.

  • Plug-ins for CS3

I have students that are attempting to use a template in InDesign CS3. A message indicates the template uses 2 plug-ins; worldready.rpln and conditionaltext.rpln. Are these available for CS3? I believe they are used in CS4.
    Howardc3

This isn't really a feature request. Next time post your regular questions in the main forum, if you can, please.
Your students are trying to open files saved from CS4 which cannot be done in CS3. There are two options: Either upgrade (the better option) or have soomeone with CS4 export these files to Interchange Format (.inx) which will open in CS3. Any CS4-only new features will be lost and line endings in the text will probably change a bit due to differnces in the text engines between the two versions.

  • LR Plug-ins

Any idea if LR will have plug-ins available like Aperture, ie. Flickr, PhotoShelter, Soundslides, YouSendIt, etc. Seems like Aperture is collecting quite a few but I haven't heard anything about LR.

Ahhhh... you caught that. Just wanted to make sure I included everyone. If other people hate this forum as much as I do, they may not come here until they absolutely have to. I hope Adobe updates this soon. I guess I should keep it all here eh?!
And yes.. an Asuka plugin would be GREAT! I'm using Asuka for more and more of my portrait as well as wedding sales. I tried using LR as is (Beta 4.1) to export (about 60) images to PS for including in a design and it was very slow... waiting for the export mainly. The next time I think I'll work from Bridge for this particular type of project. Once ACR 3.7 is out, it should be no problem. But to be able to do it all within LR would be the best.
Sean... glad you posted those tutorials... Now when I read your posts, I can 'add' the virtual accent!! :-D

  • Non existent plug ins

Just bought a new 24" iMac which came with iMovie 08 which I didn't like, so I deleted it and installed iMovie HD from my original install disks. Now when I start iMovie HD I get a whole string of error messages which say "something is wrong with the plug in xxx" the first one is 3D color rotate, but when I hit enter I get another for a different plug in and so on for a total of about 50 plug ins. Eventually I can use iMovie ok but its a real pain having to hold the enter key for so long every time I start.
Does anyone know how I can stop iMovie trying to access these non existent plug ins?
    thanks

personal opinion only, but why would you want to keep iMovie 08?
As a user of both in concert, I can answer from my perspective. First of all I don't have the innate dislike of iMovie '08 that others do and having never used either version before, I found '08 different but not too hard to master. I would be just as happy using only '08 but I can't because I absolutely must have the ability to define dynamic chapter markers in a full-length movie (something that the Garage Band work-around can't do).
To address the question as to why keep the '08 version, there are a few features that I like better. There are transitions and titles that are either new or improved over those in iMHD6 and the ability to use them is nice. Granted it's a pain to edit the movie in '08, export to a .m4v then open in iMHD6 to split it up and add chapter markers, then share with iDVD, but until someone wants to give me back dynamic chapter marking, or the ability to use iM'08 effects in 'HD6 I'm kinda stuck. That said I will use a good feature wherever I find it, there are some very nice effects in <gasp> Windows Movie Maker </gasp> that are not available in iMovie. I have a virtual machine running XP on my iMac and I'm not afraid to use it and import the result.
    Sacr1lege.
