Plug-ins won't show up

I Just installed to sets of plug-ins for FCP5 and neither show up in my effects pane.
I checked that they were in the "Final Cut pro system support" folder in the "application support" folder in the "Library" folder.
Am I missing something?
--sbf

I had a similar problem a few days ago with a new set of plugins, my older purchased plugins appeared OK.
the only way I could get them to appear in the browser was to create a folder within the plugins folder and place the new plugins in that. It also makes them easier to find.
I have FCP 4.5 and is working OK. I dont know if that would work with the plugins you have, and with FCP 5, or if there would be any side effects.

  • I run logic pro 9.1.5 in 64 bit mode on lion osx and my waves plug ins won't show up. Any suggestions?

recenlty i purchased  the Kramer mpx master Tape plug in from waves and i try to make it work in logic but no luck.. I switch it as well in 32bit mode some plug ins from wave are showed up  but they are not operational. There are a few of them that i can load up... but the ones i really need are really not there..
Have the logic pro 9.1.5 on lion osx and a mac pro early 2008 model...
Any suggestion that i can every works fluently like it suppose to work?
    thanks in advance

The crashed thread (7) mentions logic's preferences file. (com.apple.logic.pro). Drag it to the desktop (so you can reclaim you key commands if it works) and restart logic. Logic will create a new preferences file. Worth a try..

  • After Effects PLUG-INS WON'T Install

Just paste the File or Folder that i downloaded to C:\Program Files (x86)\AdobeCreativeSuite5\After effects\Support files\ Plug-ins.But After that I open After Effects and in Effects panel none of the plug-ins show. all the forum saying this.. But i already try it many time . even resetting the PC or AE.. I really need the Plug-ins so please anyone reply..
Its sad that my other Question about Adobe media Player in this site no one answered it. anyway All the plug-ins that i buyed and download are saying the same procedure. that i said earlier,  just to copy and paste. but none of the readme file correct.

    >  I know how to install plug-ins.. Just paste the File or Folder that i
    downloaded to C:\Program Files (x86)\AdobeCreativeSuite5\After
    effects\Support files\ Plug-ins.
    That's the wrong path.
This is the right path (as provided in "Plug-ins"):
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS5\Support Files\Plug-ins
    > Its sad that my other Question about Adobe media Player in this site no one answered it.
You didn't ask such a question here in the After Effects forum. I don't know what question you're talking about.

  • Plug-ins won't work with aperture 3.5.1

Just updated to aperture 3.5.1 and now none of my plug-ins won't work what can I do to fix this problem. Any help woud be great.

How do they not work, error message, crash, etc?
What plugin and want Aperture and OS versions did you upgrade from?
In general if after an upgrade you have a problem like this you should check the developer sites for updated plugins designed to work with the new version of OS and Aperture.

  • Error regarding plug-ins/won't open - unpackaged file is 4 GB - which is huge

When I open a certain file (which has not had any issues) it gives me an error regarding plug-ins/won't open. The odd part is that the unpackaged file is 4 GB - which is huge. The file also doesn't contain that much information to be that size.

    1. Super appreciate your help.
    2. It is saved on my desktop - there are no .idlk files
    3. I sent the file to another person and they cannot open it
    4. The concern is that it is a 4 GB file - which is not normal for an unpackaged file - does that not seem large? Generally even the most populated of docs is in the MB category
    5. All other files open fine
    6. I copied and pasted under a new name, rebooted a billion times

  • Upgraded and now plug ins won't work

I recently upgraded to Final Cut Studio 2 and further to FCP 6.0.4. Now certain plug ins won't work--such as Magic Bullet Looks, Core Melt Editing Pack and Slick FX.
Any ideas on what I can do to get things working again?
    Thanks!

Check with the vendor for each of the plugins to see if they have an update or upgrade available to make them compatible with your version of FCP, QT and OS.

  • Red Giant Plug-ins won't load in Premiere Pro CC

I have been unable to get certain Red Giant plug-ins (frames and denoiser 2) to show up in Premiere Pro CC. Others, like LUT buddy and Looks work fine. I have tried countless things with the people at Red Giant, but we can't seem to figure it out. Anyone???

was able to finally figure it out with the help of Wenzel - an extremely courteous tech from Ueberschall - who was able to show me the couple of little tweaks I'd needed in order to get everything up & running - but thanks to anyone else who would have answered me -

  • Re installed photoshop CS5 onto new computer & now plug ins won't work?

I recently bought a new computer & re-installed photoshop CS5.1 successfully, but can't get the plug ins to work (phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3, which were a free download with purchase). I am running windows 7 64bit. I copied & pasted them into the plug ins folder (in both applications of photoshop - there is the 32 bit version on 'program files (x86)' & the 64 bit version in 'program files'), but neither will work.

You probably won't get those plugins to work by just copying them.
I'd remove the plugins that you copied and pasted and use the phototools 2.5 & perfect effects 3 plugin installers, as they probably install some other files besides just the plugin itself.

  • My Plug-Ins won't load or be verified in the Effect Menu

I've tried numerous times to install many effects in After Effects, but none of them seem to work. I've put the file in the plug-ins sections, but they will never appear in the program. Is there any sort of fix for this?

Where did you get the plugins?  All of Red Giant plugins have installers which require serial numbers.  Optical Flares has an installer AND requires online activation. Without running the installers and following the activation process, the plugins won't work properly.
If the plugins don't appear in AE at all, as Mylenium says, they are properly not the correct versions for the bersion of AE you have.

  • Plug-ins won't work...need help

i just bought Eureka plug-ins volume 4, i was wondering if any knows how to get them to work, I have them downloaded but am not sure how to import them in to FC, and when I open one I get the error "FILE ERROR WRONG TYPE", can anyone help>?
    Power Book G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Did you put them in the correct place? [boot drive]/Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins
The next time you launch FCP after putting them in that folder, they should show up in FCP Video Filters folder in the Browser.

EDIT: I should add that I don't know what plugins are compatible with FCP 5.1, but the above should work for earlier version.

I'm not even using a custom setting on the instrument just a standard drum kit or omnisphere setting but when I save and close out of the program and re-open my project it sets omnisphere to the default and battery 3 or massive or whatever 3 party plugin i'm using back to the default setting...
    Help!
    Thanks!

    Have you tried NI support?

  • Plug-ins doesn't show in Photoshop CC

    Hi,
I've installed my new plug-ins from Envato-marketplaces into Photoshop CC as instructed. The filters doesn't show when I open Photoshop CC. I have Windows 8.1 64bit installed on my computer and therefore also Photoshop CC 64-bit.
Can someone help me with this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello DrStrike9,
    The plug-ins are:
65 Premium Actions Set by PrismaDesign
90 Premium Actions Set also by PrismaDesign
    On their website they said
06/12/2013 – TESTED: The 65 Premium Actions Set also runs on Photoshop CC
06/12/2013 – TESTED: The 90 Premium Actions Set also runs on Photoshop CC

  • Audio Plug-Ins Won't Let FCP Open

Does anybody know how to disable audio plug-ins within FCP? I have a Waves bundle for use with Pro Tools on the same computer. The Waves plugs are authorized with an iLok. If that iLok isn't present, FCP closes during launch because it can't open the waves plugs.

    Nick Holmes wrote:
Move the plugs out of the FCP Plugins folder.
    It's really that simple.
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but its really *not that simple*.
You see FCP will load 3rd party AU's that are in a shared folder - Library -> Audio -> Plug-Ins -> Components. If I want the AU's to show up in Soundtrack for example they have to be in that folder, but then FCP will load them as well.
I have a Powercore that I don't want to use in FCP, but want to use in Soundtrack. It causes FCP's load time to triple and it's really annoying. I've found no trace of a plug-ins folder that is just for soundtrack either.
I suppose that AudioUnit Manager will do the trick but I really did not want to install yet another app to sort this out but that seems to be the only option at this time.

  • Plug-ins won't load

    Hi,
I've ported my CS2 plug-ins to CS3 and built a version with XCode for the Mac. But now when I place them inside the Plugins directory of InDesign they don't load. InDesign loads normally, it complains about one of my plug-ins but it ignores the others. I try to get more info from 'Configure Plugins', I do not see them listed there.
Any idea what could have gone wrong? Maybe I missed adding some build flags?
    Thanks
    Regards,
    m.

I tried to re-structure my project files... made some progress. Now InDesign lists my plugin name in configure-plugins.
But it couldn't load it because of the following displayed info:
    CFBundleLoadExecutable failed for plugin MyTestPlugin.
Any idea what could be going wrong?

  • Illustrator 6 missing plug-ins, won't open new files

I was initially getting an error message when attempting to open Illustrator 6 on my Mac (running 10.6.8). An unknown error has occurred (4294967253). Adobe Illustrator will now quit. I read a post where the user was to select shift+option+command right after booting up. When I did that, a dialog box popped up asking if I'd like to participate in submitting feedback to Adobe and asked for my profession, location, industry, etc. It then attempted to open a new file but gave the following error: The document 'Print.ai' contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-ins are listed below. Stroke Offset Live Effect (StrokeOffset.aip). I can open an existing file, but no tools are available to edit with and I get additional errors regarding missing plug-ins. My Mac has also been running a bit slow lately as well...not sure if the two issues are connected, but I'm willing to try anything to meet an impending deadline. I have plenty of space remaining on my computer, so that can't be it.

The exact same thing just happened to me.
Then comes another error message ( see below ).
& it doesn't like it when I replace the image (which is a TIFF by the way).
