Plug iphone 4S in PC with Win 7 showing empty DCIM folder, but up one level see the Internal storage with multi tens GB occupied. how to fix? thx
1/ plug in my iphone 4S (iOS 6.1.3) unlocked to PC (window 7)
2/ window explorer open and see "Apple iPhone" icon and clicked
3/ see internal storage icon telling me GBs of ize used
4/ click in and see DCIM folder
5/ double click and nothing inside
can anyone help please?
Are there pictures in your camera roll? Windows does not handle viewing the iPhone in Explorer very well. It will give you an idea of how much space is being utilized in the phone, but it is not really that accurate. You do not have access to anything else via Explorer except photos that are in the Camera Roll. No other files can be accessed and you cannot add files to the phone via Explorer.

My iPhone 4 has a very dim screen. I can barely see the icons and the phone responds to touch. The phone is pretty useless other that as a phone to receive calls.
Go into Settings >Brightness and turn 'Auto-Brightness' Off, then move the Slider all the way to the right to give you maximum Brightness. Does this make a difference?

Firefox shows that it loads, but I can't see the window.
Running Window XP. Just did a defrag and some system clean-up. When I click on my Firefox icon, it shows that the program loads because I get a tab on on the bottom showing it. However I never get a window that loads. When I try to click on the Firefox tab, I see a ghost of a window for a second as if it is loading, but it vanishes.

Just a historical note of interest, Yahoo Mail was one of the first IMAP Push providers on the original iphone, so they did at one time support IMAP. My guess is you will have to get the server settings from tech support, which you are paying for.
But the gmail app is called gmail :-) and the technology that allows you to link it to a domain is known as google apps. (www.google.com/apps).
But I would call Yahoo tech support and ask them what the proper way to set it up on an ipad or iphone is.
If you built your website using Yahoo tools (ie. their website builder), you may find it difficult to move.

My calendar appointments show for future events, but disappear once I reach the day of the event. So I can see tomorrow's appointments now, but they will be gone tomorrow. Why is this happening? It's on my iPhone and iPad.
For what it's worth, you posted this in 2011, and here in 2014 I am still having this same issue. Over the last two days, I have had to unlock my apple account 8 times. I didn't get any new devices. I haven't initiated a password reset. I didn't forget my password. I set up two factor authentication and have been able to do the unlocking with the key and using a code sent to one of my devices.
That all works.
It's this having to unlock my account every time I go to use any of my devices. And I have many: iMac, iPad, iPad2, iPad mini, iPhone 5s, iPod touch (daughter), and my old iPhone 4 being used as an ipod touch now. They are all synced, and all was working just fine.
I have initiated an incident with Apple (again) but I know they are just going to suggest I change my Apple ID. It's a simple one, and one that I am sure others think is theirs. I don't want to change it. I shouldn't have to. Apple should be able to tell me who is trying to use it, or at least from where.

Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -
Since I installed Lion, I can't get online with ichat - shows ichat as offline or disconnected when I open the app.

Also try turning Off Face Time
Open Face Time
Go to the Preferences
Set it to Off.
Also make sure your router has the Time and Date/Time Zone set as this upsets Face Time which in turn upsets IChat

When I went to update ios7 it came up as plus into iTunes. When I plug it into iTunes it's making me retire my phone but has been on "contacting the iPhone update server" for over a half hour. What do I do?
To clarify, I meant to say, when I plug my phone into my computer and connect to ITunes.

Hello! I have configured my Wireless network to support bonjour protocol. When I support mDNS in the same Vlan I can see the Apple TV with my iPhone, but I cannot see it with my iPad. Someone know if there is any different in the Bonjour protocol between the iPhone and the iPad???
