Hi Htcamze,
Ok, please shutdown the system and remove the battery from the system, and switch on the system only with power adapter and go to device manager by right clicking the computer and select manage.
In device manager go to batteries option and expand it and right click on Microsoft ACPI and click on uninstall, after that shutdown the system and connect battery and switch on the system by connecting both battery and power adapter and check it, this should resolve the issue.
Please check the below image for further assistance.

Toshiba Qosmio X505 plugged in, not charging message
I have a Toshiba Qosmio X505 that is almost 4 years old and have some power issues. The battery is drained to about 6% and the battery icon in the tool bar has the plug symbol for a second then it goes away then comes back and goes away.... it keeps flashing like this. When I move the mouse over the battery icon it says plugged in, not charging. I have tried every solution I have found on line with no luck. I have removed the battery and ac charger and then held the power button for 30 seconds, I have cleaned the connections, I have re-installed the battery about 10 times, I have rebooted all to no avail.
When I remove the ac adapter the power light is off and the battery light is orange. When I remove the battery and plug in the ac adapter the power light is steady red. As soon as I put the battery in the ac power light begins to blink on and off. The computer does not power on with the battery removed and the ac adapter plugged in (but I'm not sure if it's supposed to). I will also add that in the last week or so when I power on I would get a black screen saying an NTFS file is bad and the machine wants to do a disk check. The disk check never runs, even when I try to do it manually.
I have read this could be a motherboard issue, an ac adapter issue, or a battery issue. I am hopoing a replacement battery fixes the problem. Before buying a battery I was hoping someone had some info to share. ThanksI bought a battery hoping that takes care of the problem. If that doesn't work I will try a new adapter and if that doesn't work I will probably just remove the hard drive and use it as an external on a new machine. Seems there really isn't a whole lot of info out there about this problem other than the start button solution.

A135-S4527 Battery plugged in, not charging
There are 1000s of posts on the net but no solution is working. I'm summarizing the problem for those who are already frustrated by seeing solutions in the following order and did not work, so please do not provide any solution mentioned below 1. charger/cord/plug/outlet not working 2. battery dated non working 3. battery contacts unclean 4. restart / push power switch for 30 secs etc There are many where any of the above doesn't work as permanent solution. Sometimes it seems as working but it doesnt last for longer. Now stating the problem of mine specifically My battery was gone. I knew that when this started. The issue was, even if the AC Adapter is connected and the battery is ON and detected, it would always say x% remaining (Plugged in, not charging) - where x is < 100% . This message is so frustrating (even now I'm seeing this and I need to post before the battery gets discharged) Why would a AC Adapter not charge when it is connected and battery is charged less than 100%? Even if lets say a battery pack is not holding enough charge, it should attempt to continuously charge if the charge is less than 100% This has started when I upgraded the laptop Toshiba Satellite A135-S4527 to Win 7. I've replaced the battery with a new one and only thing I can charge the battery is shut down and keep the laptop with battery connected with AC Adapter. Since last few days even the red charging LED has stopped showing up. I've found that the problem is related to "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method battery" Have perfomed all sorts of instructions as given but none works Funniest part is when this message is on and battery is not charging while AC Adapter is connected, it is still drawing power off the battery as the % goes down and it simply knocks off when battery is fully discharged, completely ignoring that the AC Adapter is connected (Yes, it is connected as you can see the icon with the pin) I'd stop here for some advise before this goes off again. Thank you so much for your attention

Lenovo G700 Plugged In Not Charging
My Lenovo G700, which is a week old, is saying that it is "plugged in, not charging". It was working fine until last night when I closed the lid to put it into sleep mode for the first time. I have checked that it is set to maximum battery life and it is still not working. It's stuck on 98%. I am severely disappointed that something like this has happened a week into having my first Lenovo. I hope someone can help me rectify this problem.
hi Zadeth,
Welcome to the Forums.
Can you try to:
1. Turn off the machine and remove the AC adapter and battery
2. Hold the power button for 10secs then plug the AC adapter back in.
3. Turn the computer ON and when it gets to Windows, slide the battery back in place and observe the charge.
Alternatively, try to use the battery charge until it asks you to plug the AC adapter and observe if the charge goes all the way to 100%.
Let me know your findings
Regards

Lenovo b570e "Plugged In, Not Charging"
Recently Bought the new laptop Lenovo B570e.
Few days back, the battery icon said "Plugged In, Not Charging"
After googling with the issue I found one fix that worked, it is as follows:
Disconnect AC
Shutdown
Remove battery
Connect AC
Startup
Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1).
Shutdown
Disconnect AC
Insert battery
Connect AC
Startup
However, today i experienced the same problem and i went for the same fix as above, but it didnt work...
Please Suggest me a permanent solution for this problem!

I already tried these steps but the problem still exist;
Disconnect AC, Shutdown, Remove battery
Connect AC
Startup (w/o battery)
Open Device Manager
Expand Batteries category & right-click all of the "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" listings (ok if only 1)
Select Uninstall
Click OK to confirm
Expand System Devices.
Right-click the “ACPI Fixed Features Button" and select Uninstall.
Click OK to confirm

I can't charge my DM1-4110et (plugged in, not charging)
Hi,
I just bought a dm1-4110et 1 weeks ago. My battery not working properly since first day.
Details about my problem;
My battery can't charge when notebook working. If I plugged in, Windows says "plugged in, not charging". I've tried ACPI trick and don't work. Led lighting white.
When I turn off pc, disconnect ac adapter & batery and reconnect them, notebook start charging and led ligting orange. But; if I turn notebook on, led turns white.
I've tried bios update, acpi trick, calibrating.. don't work. Probably I need to go service.
Any ideas?Sorry, here is what i did
1. Turnn laptop off, remoove battery, reinsert battery, plug the Charger, Charging starts (Orange light)
But as soon as I start laptop, charging stops.
2. To keep the charging while using laptop, download and install HP Power Manager, during installation you will see laptop is charging again. Solved
3. When you restart your laptop, same not charging occurs. To solve this just go into where HP Power Manager is installed, default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Power Manager, select SCHEME.BAT, you will CHARGING. Place scheme.bat shortcut to desktop, and next time just use the short cut -
G560 64-bit Windows 7 : Plugged in ,Not Charging
Hi,
I'm facing a problem with my Lenovo G560 (64-bit Windows 7 and i3 ). I'm not able to power on my laptop without connecting to the power outlet. Once the Windows started the battery icon shows 100%(Plugged in , not charging). If I remove it from the power it is getting shutdown immediately. Will it be a battery problem ? Any OS update might not have compatible with the hardware or drivers ?
Can any one please suggest a solution for this problem?
Thanks in Advance !

Since you are not getting any backup from the battery and you are able to use the system when Ac adaptor is connected
Please remove your battery from the system , then reconnect it back again . Now connect AC adaptor
Also try updating the Bios

HP G62-b13SA Notebook - "Plugged in, not charging"
Hi,
I have an issue with charging my HP HP G62-b13SA Notebook PC (on Windows 7 Home Premium). I've noticed that when I plug in the adapter, the icon says 'plugged in, not charging'.
However, I notice that sometimes it will charge for between a few seconds to about a minute (when I first connect the charger) with the orange light showing before I get the 'not charging' message and the light turns blue.
I have had the laptop for nearly 3 years and recently had to purchase a replacement battery as the original had gone completely flat.
I've tried running the battery down and charging it, but no luck and the HP support assistant said the battery is ok
Thanks,
JonathonHi @Lewistrick
Thank you for your query.
I grasp that until a few days ago your battery was working well but now it will not charge. You followed some suggestion in the forum but they did not help.
You ran the battery test and were informed you need to replace this one. You are concerned that the test may be faulty and that you do not need to replace it.
Here are two documents to help you understand battery life and provides an alternative method to test the battery to ensure the first test was correct.

I'm getting a Plugged in, not charging message after replacing the CPU fan
I just replaced the CPU fan on this notebook last night and finished it today. Its running perfectly at the moment.
The problem is the windows Task bar on my desktop says "Plugged in, not charging" when I mouse over the battery indicator there. I've tried many things to fix it, from uninstalling or disabling the drivers for the devices involved (the ACPI battery and AC adapter) under Windows' device manager, to swapping out with my spare battery.
I've also switched power plans on the off chance that could have been causing some kind of battery charging setting. This did not fix it. The AC adapter works. I've been running this notebook for about two hours now searching for a solution, it just won't charge the battery. I've not tried observed it enough but I believe it will charge while powered off, but not while on. The orange LED indicator by the AC adapter port glows when the machine is off, indicating that it is charging.
I have a feeling the whole "uninstall device drivers for the battery devices" idea is a thing of the past. Everything I found which suggested doing that also mentioned Windows Vista, which at this point in time is a relic (July 2015). When I was replacing the CPU fan, it did get frustrating at times but everything is intact apart from some case clips and a few other plastic case parts. I have reason to believe everything is connected too because its still powered on, meaning its getting power, but it isn't going in to the battery.
Symptom summary:
Batteries: OKAC Adapter: OK
MOBO: PROBABLY OK
ME: NOT OK xDHey srkv121,
welcome to the forums
On
1. Optimized battery run time, the energy managment completely charges the battery to ensure maximum battery performance
2. On best battery health, energy management charges only 50% of the battery, it ensures maximum battery life but not performance
hope this helps

G510 Plugged in, not charging
Hi,
I bought my G510 laptiop a few months ago.
It wasn't in use for the past month or so and the battery was completely drained when I turned it on.
However, when in Windows 7 (64-bit) the battery icon says: "Plugged in, not charging" and the battery is stuck at 0%.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Energy Management with no success. Also, in Energy Management under battery info it says "Battery Status: Bad".

Satellite L450 - battery states '18% available plugged in, not charging'
Laptop is a L450-181 and is literally two years and two weeks old!!! gutted... help!!!
no, still doesn't work... i'm wondering that the problem is the battery, maybe the cells inside are corrupt or something...
...have others shared the same problem? - 'plugged in, not charging'
what is annoying, is that since i lost my job, i didn't want to fork out a meagre 10 per month on extending the warranty... so it ran out just over two weeks ago... i'm worried if this would corrupt the computer when the battery runs down to 0% available... at the moment it is 13% and falling!
thanks for responding feliks! I hope you got the answers compadre!
