Plugging and unplugging earbuds with car bluetooth

I just bought a new iPhone 5C running 7.0.4 and paired it with my Honda's bluetooth for handsfree calling. The problem is that if I start the car while listening to itunes with my earbuds as soon as the car pairs I can't hear my music anymore. I have to plug and unplug my ear buds to get audio back through the buds. The handsfree phone works great. Are there any settings I'm missing? Unplugging is a bit of a pain. Any help would be appreciated.

That's because the car supports A2DP audio streaming. As soon as it makes the connection, it switches to the bluetooth audio streaming. Turn your stereo on and switch to the proper input. You should hear the music on your stereo.

Yes, you can unplug a printer without shutting down the computer, but if you are switching the printer to another computer then you should first turn off the printer, unplug it, re-connect to the other computer, then turn on the printer. This will assure that the printer will be properly recognized.
If you have your computers networked via Ethernet then you can leave the printer connected to one computer and share it with the other via the network connection. Printer sharing is turned on using the Sharing preference in System Preferences. You will need to Add the printer on both computers so you will need the appropriate printer driver installed on both computers.

USB/Firewire ports were designed to be "hot" plugged. You can safely plug and unplug devices without usually having to shut down the computer or the device. Some devices, such as external HDs, digital cameras and iPods need to be "ejected" first, so as not to damage their formatting or data.
You can network your Macs wirelessly or with an ethernet cable and then set the printer connected to one computer to be shared with the other computer.

Clean out the charging port--make sure there's no dust or debris in there. If that fails to solve the issue, bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

I had the same problem. I squirted a drop of WD40 in the headphone hole and then used a plastic dental toothpick and twisted it around in the hole. It amazingly worked.

Do you see a red light in the headphone jack?? If you do, then the microswitch is stuck and you need to turn it off. Try poking it with a toothpick.
If you don't see a red light, then try resetting the SMC and PRAM and see if these helps. Here are the links.

The light on my apple tv is blinking furiously. i've held down the menu button, plugged and unplugged it, and just tried restoring it via micro usb. but the restore downloads then says it can't finish because it can't write to the disc. lost lost

TS1574 you should mention that the audio output jack is fleaky, try plugging and unplugging until red light goes off !!!

It should be mentionned in the Apple help that the audio output jack is sometimes fleaky, as it does not reclose the speakers contacts correctly when an earphone jack is removed. This can be checked by looking into the computer audio jack and seeing a red light, which confirms the optic output is active. Plugging and unplugging the jack until the red light disapears is the cure, unless you are unfortunate enough to have a broken audio jack. Good luck !

Same here. I don't remember doing anything out of the ordinary. I was working in Parallels on getting a AM station to stream via some web interface. Next time I went to play sound on the internal speakers, no go.
I've tried zapping the PRAM, toggling the headphone jack and the toothpick thing. Nothing seems to work.
I've also noticed that I get sound in my headphones in iTunes but not in Garageband (someone had suggested that starting up Garageband would reset things.
Any other ideas out there?

Some of the Dock connector cables have very small buttons on the rounded adge of the plug, which need to be pushed in to release the plug from the iPod. Look at the picture below, do you notice the "button" on the white connector edge? There's one on the other edge too and they both need to be pressed in to release the "evil looking spike" sticking out of the grey edge.
The shorter plugs (that I've seen) do not have the release mechanism, the plug simply pulls out.

buttons for volume stop working I can only use the headset to listen to music now but I cant change any volume or double click to change the song.
Since I plugged in and unplugged it into PC they just do not work. (it was a first time when I plugged them into PC since I bought them).
I heard from a few people that they have the same, but you now, its not supposed to happen like that.

Issues with Car Bluetooth and the 9630

Over at the crackberry forums there are many people reporting issues with the tour and car bluetooth. Basically, for people that are syncing the tour with the bluetooth in their cars, people can barely hear them. We can hear everyone just fine, but when talking the person on the other end reports that our voice is very low. This is happening on VZW, Sprint, Bell and Telus, which leads me to belive this is an issue with the OS itself. I was using a Verizon 8830 World Edition until I upgraded to the Verizon Blackberry Tour on launch day July 12. I never had any Bluetooth issues before and I'm not having any now. As a matter of fact, I would say the quality is a tad better. My volume is controlled by my car when the Blackberry is connected via Bluetooth and I've actually had to turn it down sometimes because it has been so loud. I drive a 2007 Toyota Landcruiser. I suspect it has less to do with the Blackberry than it does with the car. Perhaps there's a Bluetooth software/firmware update necessary for some of your vehicles?
All in all, I love this new Blackberry!!
