When I plug my ipad to my tv it says change device resolution but I don't know how to change screen resolution on ipad 2

Go to your TV menu to set resolution not iPad.

Plugged iPad into Macbook Pro - initial set up

Just got an iPad 4 a few days ago and liking it.
Today I plugged into my macbook pro, wanting to transfer some music over, and it asks me whether I want to either restore from a backup (only my phone backups are there or set up as a new ipad. I don't want to do either! I already set up as a new device when I got it and I've done a bunch of work on the ipad already that I don't want to lose.

iTunes sees your iPad as a foreign device because you set your iPad up without using iTunes and haven't synced yet.
However, you do have a couple of options to accomplish what you want to do. If you just want to move some music to the iPad, you can turn off auto sync and manually manage the songs.

If you have decide that you will want to sync with iTunes in the future.... If you have photos or home videos that you want to transfer to the iPad .... You can make this your iPad's iTunes library by following the instructions in this user tip.

Is the plug to charge iPad the same plug I would use to plug iPad into radio that has a usb port ?

I want to use my iPad in my car as an iPod set up is that feasible if I have a USB port on radio ?

Your question is a little confusing to me. If you are asking if you can charge your iPad with the USB port on your car radio, that may be possible. But there are also auto chargers for the iPad that plug into your cars power sockets, like the cigarette lighter socket.
But you might also be asking if you can connect your iPad to your radio's USB port in order to hear the sound from the iPad through your vehicle's sound system. I don't know about this one but perhaps someone else will provide that answer.

Normal, most USB port do not supply enough current to charge iPad. Use the wall socket.

If you have previously synced your device with iTunes, you may be able to reset the passcode by restoring the device:
1. Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
2. If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
3. When the backup and sync is complete, restore your device.
4. When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your device, choose "Restore from iTunes backup".
5. Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your device.

Error 0x0000007E when plug iPad into computer

When I plugged my ipad1 in to iTunes to sync music it shut down my computer. The blue screen message was stop: 0x0000007E. Just before it shiut down the computer popped up with the message new digital camera device. I have no new device. iPod works fine. I have restarted over 6 times and tried to find devices but to not avail.

Google the code displayed on the screen (as embodied above) and there are plenty of hits which deal with this matter.

Is it possible to plug ipad 2 with the smart cover on the dock station?

I'm wondering if the dock station can be used while Ipad2 is covered by the SmartCover?

I before I bought my case for my iPad2 I had the cover on it, in order to get it in the dock I had to slightly open the cover to seat the iPad on the dock then I could close it again. There is not enough room in the cradle to hold the iPad with the cover closed (tight fit without the cover), but I did not have to remove the cover to put it in, just open it.

Many apps don't natively support that audio out to the apple tv, (spotify, pandora, ect) Normally the work around is to get it going with the music app then back out of the music and open the other app (pandora, crackle) and the audio will switch. As far as getting the audio initially try running the music on the ipad then toggle airplay on and skip back to the initial song. At this point if you still have no sound toggle screen mirroring as well all while letting the song run on the ipad.

If you are in Starbucks etc then you should be able to use their wifi network on your iPad without needing the iPhone. Using the iPhone as a hotspot will use the phone's 3G service (and therefore some of your 3G data allowance), and your iPad will see the phone as a wifi network - but yes (assuming that your phone carrier supports it) you will be able to access the internet on your iPad via the iPhone.

If you have, make sure the computer is authorized in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer.
Connect the iPad to the PC and iTunes should start up sync automatically. You need no other application except iTunes.

Plugged my ipad in overnight, won't turn on now

I plugged my ipad 3rd generation in to re-charge overnight. When I went to sign on this morning, it will not turn on......I have tried other outlets in my home, nothing works.

I have had the exact same problem today! Plugged iPad 3 in last night, hasn't charged The screen stays black until eventually, the charge symbol appears and then a few seconds later the Apple logo appears. If I'm lucky, the home screen will appear for a second, showing 1% battery, but then it switches straight off again.
I tried resetting every time the Apple logo came on to try and preserve enough battery life for the iPad to turn on but that didn't work. I can't get the iPad into recovery mode either. I just don't know what to do

Multiple iPad sync on one computer fail

I am confused about how to maintain two iPads on one computer. Try it and I get dialog boxes threatening to erase all the content on one iPad. Do I creat multiple libraries? That seems risky in light of the "threat" message in the dialog boxes. Is there a simpler way. Why can't I just plug iPad #1 and iPad #2 into a computer and have iTunes recognize that each one should have a separate library? This seems really silly.

Why does iTunes think my iPad is a new one?

When I connect my otherwise happy iPad to iTunes, iTunes says "This computer has previously been synced with an iPad or another iOS device" and wants me either to "set up as new iPad" or "restore from the backup of <my iPad name>". Of course it's just the same iPad I've connected, so why does iTunes not recognise it as such?
This happened before, and I know if I select "Restore from the backup of <my iPad name>", it deletes and restores all the apps and media content, but in the process I lose all data e.g. progress in games, data and configurations entered into apps etc.
This is iTunes 10.2.2.12 on Win 7 64-bit, iPad 16GB with iOS 4.3.1.
Any suggestions what I can do? Even if I have to restore from backup, is there a way I can prevent this happening again?

I'm having same problem! I tried the trick of unplugging right after the sync begins and the only thing my iPad does is give me a sync failure message and restarts itself. I plug ipad back in and get same message??? I've emailed iTunes support and they have not been able to help. I tried all the standard stuff like de-authorizing/athorizing, checked that my iPad iOS is the latest version (which it is), latest version of iTunes installed (even uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes). No matter what I try cannot get around this message. I too have tons of app settings/configurations that get lost if I go thru the restore option. I actually tried the restore option out of frustration, lost all of my configurations AND still get the same message - seems like my iPad is caught up in a loop no matter what I try. To make matters worse, my iTunes library got lost as all my songs are showing up with an '!' next to each song (meaning it cannot locate the file). I checked and they are truely missing so when I go to my purchased music all of my purchases show up (all 4000+ of them) however are all listed as 'Downloaded' in the right margin??? My true objective here is to be able to transfer my purchases on my iPad to my iTunes as my iPad is complete as far as all apps/recent purchases. HELP !!! Thanks
