Plugin check Action link going to wrong page

Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U60 plugin is out of date and i get a red Action button to update to v65.
However the link is going to the release notes page instead of the downloads page.

More info:
This is happening on my Windows 7 machine. On my Windows XP machine I had already updated Java from a system tray prompt and the green 'up-to-date' button points to the correct link.
So, to recap, wrong link displayed when out-of-date (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/7u65-relnotes-2229169.html)
Correct link displayed when up-to-date (http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)

  • Creating a PDF from Word, endnote links jump to wrong page

I have a Word file with a large number of endnotes.  In Acrobat 9.5.5 the endnote links jumped to the correct page.  In Acrobat XI, which I just upgraded to, all endnotes jump to the wrong page.  Somehow when converting the Word to PDF the calculation of what page to jump to is calculated incorrectly.  Is this a known problem?  I see other discussions on problems with endnotes but they are for different problems.  How can I resolve this.  I don't want to have to revert to Acrobat 9, but it worked.

Well I tried that.  I set the printer driver to Adobe PDF.  I then selected all text and hit F9 to refresh all links and saved the file and then went to the Acrobat tab to create the PDF version.  Using the application and importing the file to create a PDF causes the same result.  I can now see a pattern of what is happening.  This has a large number of endnotes, 525.  There are probably 30+ endnotes links per page.  I noticed that all the endnotes links for the first page that has the links all point to the second page of endnotes in the endnote section (strange that it starts with the second page and not the first), then all the endnote links of the next page point to the third page of endnotes and it continues that way until the end.
Another way to describe this is that the first page of endnote links should point to endnote pages 1 through 4 but they all point to page 2.
I checked and all the links in the Work doc are linking correctly.
I wonder if version XI has been rewritten since version 9 and my case is too extreme for this version and it chokes.  I'm trying to rebuild part of the file from scratch and see if the problem goes away since there is a lot of history to this file and it started at least at Word 2007.  I'm using Word 2013 now and have converted the format to the 2013 level.
I've sent in a bug report but have not heard anything and talked to customer service over chat but they don't seem to care enough to pass this to development even though it's easily reproducible.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Links going to wrong place

I have created a simple photography slideshow website to showcase some of my photography.
Unfortunately I have run into a problem with my link bar at the top of my website, in the mobile and tablet version  this menu bar works fine but in my desktop version the weddings tab takes you to the home screen.
I have exported to html and the weddings.html doesn't exist, which is the problem.
I have tried using a menu bar from the widgets but this hasn't worked either, I have also tried to delete and redo the page but this hasn't worked either.
Any help on this would be much appreciated as I am starting to lose faith in what is otherwise a brilliant product.
A new issue is that the index.html file doesn't have any styling but if you link to the other pages they are fine and if you preview in browser it is also ok.
    the site is a http://seansshots.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
    Thanks,
    Sean

Please make sure index.html (Home page) has a Master page associated to it. There is no weddings.html that physically exists, make sure you don't have the "Export Page" option unchecked in page's context menu in Plan mode. Also, it appears that you're simply using a block of links acting as a menu and hence have incorrectly linked "Weddings" to index.html. You might want to use the Menu widget for the purpose of creating a navigation menu that mirrors the structure of your site in Plan view and automatically assigns and maintains all the page names and links for menus and submenus.
If the above doesn't fully resolve the issue, do an upload of all pages from Publish Options (and not just modified).
    Thanks,
    Vinayak

  • New link goes to old page

I made a new version of a page, and I updated the link in the home page to go to the new version instead of the old one. Then I put the new page and the new version of the home page on the server. However, when I go to the website, it still links to the old page. I'm using Dreamweaver CS6 on a Mac. I opened the home.htm file in Safari and it linked to the new page just fine. It's just the live site that doesn't work. Maybe I don't understand how to transfer a new version of a page to the server? In the Files panel I drag the new version of the file over the old version and it transfers it (it even asks me if I want to transfer depedent files).

Did you name new page exactly the same as old page?
Did you clear your browser's cache -- Ctrl+R or Ctrl+F5?

  • Bookmarks Links Goes to Wrong Direction (Page)

    Hi,
I just added bookmarks to pages title. by following right click on title of page Interactive-New Bookmark.
I had totaly 9 pages first and I done about 7 bookmarks for pages. first all of them was fine. but after I have added 4 extra pages after last page, my some of the bookmarks is begining to go last page!
I did delete them and insert aganin, allways goto last page.
    Where can I edit that?
    thanks.

Which version of InDesign are you using? (On Windows: Help > About InDesign, on Mac OS: InDesign > About InDesign).
I tried to see if I could replicate the issue you are seeing, but the Bookmarks panel definitely points to the correct page numbers, even when I move pages around – this is in InDesign CC 2014.2 Release  /  Build 102..0.69
I'm not entirely sure what's happening but the following might be of help:
When you select an object and right-click Interactive > Bookmark, the bookmark you create references a page, NOT the object you had select as far as I'm aware. In my version of InDesign, if I move the pages around, after creating the bookmark, the bookmark page number reference automatically updates to reflect the new page. You can check that by selecting the bookmark in the Bookmarks panel and waiting for the tool tip to appear (or just hover the cursor over the bookmark you want to check)
If you move the content you had selected when you added the bookmark to another page. For example by selecting a text frame and moving it to another page, the bookmark will still point to the previous page.
    Try this as a workaround:
Instead of creating Page bookmarks, create the bookmarks more content aware: Highlight the page title text with the Type Tool and choose New Bookmark from the Bookmarks panel (Window > Interactive > Bookmarks).
If you're still having troubles, see if you can provide us some screenshots of what is going on, hopefully they'll help clarify the issue.

  • Links going to wrong sites

When I search for something and click on the links, it takes me to wrong sites.

The other is that you're using a rogue DNS server that redirects traffic away from Google. Your operating system is so old that I'm not sure how to proceed.
Please launch the System Preferences application. There should be a preference pane called Network, or maybe Internet. Open that, and look through the settings for the addresses of your DNS servers. Also check to see whether a web proxy is configured. I can't be more specific because I don't remember how those settings were laid out in 10.4.
Also look at your router's settings to see what DNS servers it uses.
This is the best information I've been able to locate on DNS Trojans First Look: Trojan Horse warning: What you need to know. It's very old and has been updated, but it may not apply to later versions.
MacScan has a free DNSChanger Trojan Removal Tool for Mac OS X which hasn't been updated since 2008 and the site may be blocked by the Trojan.

  • Simple button action that goes to a page within the same doc

I can't figure this out. I have a button I want to use that takes a person back to the first, or second page of the same doc. It's a catalog section with a table of contents. I need to make links for the pdf that takes people to certain pages within the same document.
In the Buttons panel, I see how to make the button, but when I assign an action, the only choice that makes sense is "Go To Destination", but I don't get or see any way to choose "page 2" of the document, or another selection method.
I did this before a few years ago on hundreds of pages, and when I open those old documents up to copy/paste the same buttons, they don't even appear to have actions on them anymore, as if it never happened.
So, what's the secret? Certainly there's a way to link to another page in the same ID file, no?

Finally figured it out. I do NOT use the button panel at all. No buttons needed. Just select the grouped object that I want for my button, and hit the "add hyperlink" button in the Hyperlink panel. Then choose "Page" from the menu that opens up and be on my way. What was throwing me for a bad loop, was that I had copied and pasted the button graphic form another document. Well, since the link made previously was broken now, I had the red flag in the Hyperlinks panel...and thus, the "new hyperlink" button was greyed out, sending me in circles. The minute I deleted the old hyperlink it carried over from the old document, the new hyperlink button worked again and all was well.
    Thanks.

  • Hyper links going to wrong destination - Murray, please help

Please take a look at http://greenpwwhh.com/secrets%20of%20a%20millionaire%20mind.html
The first question is what are these "%20%20of%20a%20"  I never put them there.
The real important question however is what would make the links below go to a mp4 file instead of to the pages with the video?  Thanks as usual for your expertise
Secrets of a millionaire mind 1
Secrets of a millionaire mind 2
Secrets of a millionaire mind 3
Secrets of a millionaire mind 4
Secrets of a millionaire mind 5
Secrets of a millionaire mind 6

okay i'm not murray, but will plow on anyway...
The %20 's are the spaces you have in yoru filenames.  Spaces are bad.  I'd say most often used instead are underscores, like for example: this_is_a_filename.htm but hypens are common as well  Some use CamelCase instead, as in: thisIsAFilename.htm
what would make the links below go to a mp4 file instead of to the pages with the video?
Well, that's becuase your links are actually pointing to the mp4 and flv files, not an htm page:
    <a href="video%20secrets%20of%20a%20millionaire%20mind%204.flv">Secrets of a millionaire mind 4</a>
    <a href="video%20secrets%20of%20a%20millionaire%20mind%205.mp4">Secrets of a millionaire mind 5</a>
See that the hrefs end in .flv and .mp4?
You will need to change those Links - using the Property Inspector if you like - so they are pointing to whatever htm file you intended.

  • Install of 10.1.4.0.1 OAM Identity System Console link goes to blank page

I am installing OAM in order to test a .Net Application Integration (IPM 10g). I have been working from the install doc for 10.1.4.0.1 and have got to the point of installing WebPass (Chapter 5 of the install doc). I have installed that component and the "http://ohstest:7777/identity/olbix" page comes up. I am running against an OID install on the same VM running windows 2003 R2.
I headed into chapter 6 and "Setting Up the Identity System". Unfortunatly, when I click the "Identity System Console" link, after a long delay a blank page comes up and the URL is:
    http://ohstest:7777/identity/oblix/apps/admin/bin/front_page_admin.cgi
It does this for the User Manager link as well. A blank page at:
    http://ohstest:7777/identity/oblix/apps/userservcenter/bin/userservcenter.cgi
I am not sure where to look to identify the problem. Anyone have any suggestions?
    John

I looked in windows event viewer and found that there was more than just the information that was displayed in the dialog. The event viewer says "Oracle Access Manager Identity Server (OracleIdentityServer_0789) is not a valid Win32 application". This indicates to me that it probably was not even able to load the service provider server.
The path to the service exe is --> "C:\Program Files\NetPoint_01\identity\oblix\apps\common\bin\ois_server.exe"

  • Action links resulting in "Error Codes: QM3V3HLV" - OBIEE11G

    Hi,
We have recently upgraded our 10g webcat to 11.1.1.5. Everything is working fine.
But the action links on the dashboard page are resulting in the below error, when clicked for the first time.
Invalid path () -- not allowed to be empty
    Error Details
    Error Codes: QM3V3HLV
When we go back and click the same thing again, it shows up the report correctly.
And also this is happening only when we integrate our OBIEE application with the web application.
Can someone throw some light on this!!
    Thanks!!
    Vasantha.P

    Hi,
For us, we are receiving the QM3V3HLV error when drilling down as well. We are not using any special link, just drilling on regular column values.
We have only seen this error with our own custom subject area reports that were upgraded to 11g from 10g. I was not able to recreate the error using the Sample Sales Lite subject area.
So far it seems like if I re-save the upgraded report and view it on a dashboard, there is no error with drilling. Also rebuilding the report in 11g seems to also get rid of the error when drilling. Rebuilding the report in 11g is not an ideal solution for us because of the number of reports we have to migrate over to 11g. So far, no definitive answer on what might be causing this from Oracle.

  • How do I get to the Mozilla Plugin Check Page manually if a link is not available to click on?

In the past couple of weeks, I have had several instances of my Adobe Flash Plugin crashing. I am just figuring out that I need to keep my plugins updated. I can't figure out how to '''manually''' get to the plugin check page in order to determine the status of my third-party plugins. I have come across a link that says: visit Mozilla's '''Plugin Check''' page. But, being able to get there manually would be very helpful.
    Thank you very much.

  • Why did the Mozilla Plugin Check page stop working?

This morning I updated to Firefox 18.0.2. Then because of the java stuff that has been going on, I went to update to the latest version. I uninstalled the old Java and installed the new. Then I went to the plugin check page to make sure everything was good. I just did this last week and it was working, but today I do not see ANY plugins listed. The rest of the page loads fine and the links all seem to work, but the plugin section is completely blank. I tried refreshing, letting it sit on that page for 30 minutes or so, and restarting Firefox, but the page still implies I do not have any plugins. Any thoughts?

Thanks. Wanted to make sure it wasn't something I did.

  • 'Plugin Check' wrong?

    Firefox 4 on Windows XP
I've used the Firefox 'Plugin Check' page and it tells me that my Adobe Acrobat plugin is outdated, even though I've updated twice via the 'update' button on that page. I've also been reminded about it twice direct from Adobe and installed twice in the last couple of days. I even cleared my cache and cookies before 'updating' via 'Plugin Check'. I'm using MSE for anti-virus - it doesn't normally stop me updating so I've no idea what's causing this problem.

I'm running OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard), not 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
These updates are not available for 10.6.8.
Java 7 requires OS X (10.7.3 version and above). [See java.com]
The QuickTime update link does not have any download link for anything before Mountain Lion. Searching reveals no update for Snow Leopard beyond 7.6.6.
Using Apple's Software Update does not find any updates for these, either.
The issue is that Plugin Check reports wrong results (update needed vs no update available) for Macs running Snow Leopard.

  • Missing Actions Link in Page Group Navigator

    Hi,
I have a problem in portal page group navigator, somehow the action link is missing ( Edit Root Page, View, Properties etc). Can somebody help me, how to retrieve back the link.
For your information I've checked the permission or access, I've grant the permission to manage all.
    thank you in advance

    Hi,
We are also experiencing similar problem since this morning.
This portal is 10.1.4 on Solaris 9. It's a new install of 10.2.0.2 oracle App Server and then upgraded to portal 10.1.4.
We logged in as portal user and created a page group, few pages yesterday. It all worked fine. Suddenly this morning all the action links such as edit, properties..etc are disappeared for the entire page group and all the pages in it.
Then we checked the privileges of the portal user. Everything seems to be Ok with the user privikeges, so we restarted the portal. But still same problem. But after some time suddently all the links appeared.
But now they are gone again. Not sure what's going on? Is this a bug? Do we need to apply any patches? Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Chandra
