Plugin for Canon 7D2

Need a update for Canon 7D2 and none available.  When will it be available?

Nope.  The DNG converter does not convert!
What version did you try?  As far as I know, only the beta DNG Converter 8.7 RC supports that camera.
You need to download install and run the beta DNG Converter 8.7 RC on each and every batch of raw files from that camera, then open them in ACR through Photoshop or Bridge.

please direct me to the Photoshop CS6 camera raw plugin for Canon G15 digital camera
    Thank you

    Hi, rich_fred.
As the Canon G15 is a very new model, support is not yet available through Camera Raw. In the meantime, try out the software that came with you camera, to see if it can export a TIF or JPEG, which should open up in Photoshop just fine.
Hopefully support for the G15 will be available in the next Camera Raw update. You can find a list of supported cameras here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/extend.html

I need to get raw plugin for Canon 5D Mark iii for CS6  the adobe website has changed and I can not find the download.. it keeps looping me back to the product download page without the raw

Which operating system are you using?
Have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get either camera raw 8.3 or 8.7.1, which should enable photoshop cs6 to open the canon 5D Mark III files.
(version of camera raw depends on your operating system)
If that doesn't work try one of the following camera raw plugin installers:
    Camera raw 8.7.1 plugin
    https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html
If you have windows xp or vista or mac os x snow leopard (10.6.8), then you'll have to use the camera raw 8.3 plugin installer:

  • Need Photoshop Elements RAW plugin for Canon 70D using MAC

Need Photoshop Elements RAW plugin for Canon 70D using MAC - please advise where I can find it to download. Thanks.

To work with the Canon 70D, you will need Camera Raw version 8.2 or later:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
In order to work with this version of Camera Raw, you will need Photoshop Elements 12:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
If you do not have Photoshop Elements 12, you can use the DNG converter to convert the CR2 files to DNG, which will then work in whatever version of Photoshop Elements you have:
    Windows: https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=106&platform=Windows
    Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=106&platform=Macintosh

  • Is there a CS4 raw plugin for Canon S95?

A search indicates that Camera Raw 6.3 plugin and later will work, but it is apparently for CS5 only.  Is it true that CS4 loses the ability to work with camera raw files of newer cameras?  If not, where can I get a camera raw plugin for my new S95 that works with CS4?  (The camera does ship with proprietary raw processing software, but I'd prefer the integration of Bridge and Photoshop.)

Jeff gave you the free method, above.
If you want good integration and the convenience of just opening your raw files directly you have to get new software to go with your new camera.  That's not really outrageous, especially since Adobe provides the free solution - it just requires a bit more elbow grease.

  • CS3 Camera Raw PlugIn for Canon S90 .CR2 files

What plug in is needed for Photoshop CS3 to read the .CR2 files from my Canon S90 camera, and where can I get it?

The S90 is not yet officially supported by Camera Raw.
Eventually, when it is supported, you can use the latest version of the DNG Converter to process a S90 raw file into a DNG file, which can then be read in CS3 (e.g., using Camera Raw 4.6). This will enable you to perform S90 raw processing in CR 4.6.

  • Photoshop CS Plugin for Canon Digital Rebel XT

I'm trying to access RAW files on my digital Rebel XT through Photoshop CS. I can't seem to find the right version of plugin. I tried 2.4 but it doesn't look like it supports Digital Rebel XT. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The DNG converter is a stand-alone program that does not rely on Photoshop or any other program to do its thing. It comes packaged with the Camera Raw plug-in, and is updated whenever Camera Raw is updated. Using the converter is very simple:
    1. Extract the DNG converter from the zip file and place it wherever you want. The desktop is a good choice.
    2. Locate a folder containing raw images. This can be a folder on your hard drive or a card from the camera.
    3. Drag the folder containing the raw images and drop the folder onto the DNG converter icon.
    4. The DNG converter will start. Choose a destination for your DNG files. Then click on the OK button.
When the DNG converter is finished, just close it and then open Bridge and locate the folder where you told the DNG converter to put your DNG images.

  • Plugin for Canon PowerShot G 15 camera.

I just bought a Canon PowerShot G15 camera.  Shot over 100 pictures in Raw to test out the camera.  I used the Canon disk to install their software and followed their instructions.  I then downloaded the latest updates from Adobe only to discover that the company has not gotten around to supporting this camera.  I have owned Photoshop since Version 7 days, gone through several SLRs and PowerShot G series cameras and have never experienced this kind of omission.  Can anyone tell me what is going on and when will I be able to get a plugin to convert my Raw files?

    Thanks Mollysnoot!
A thoughtful response.. I already have over three thousand G15 images and DPP is a dinosaur to use. I purchased it four weeks ago and in the past I haven't had to wait this long as an early adopter of new gear. Canon doesn't have a lens profile yet either.   About the last thing a person wants to do is buy the latest technology and then find out it's still in the almost ready phase... It's kinda like buying a new car and then finding out that if you turn on the headlights, the stereo stops working. But as soon as Delco Remy gets off it's A$$, it'll be fixed. Until then, suck it up and don't turn on your lights...

  • Different setting for Canon 7D and 7D2 RAW files?

Help!  I'm trying to decide whether to return my new Canon 7D2.  I shoot RAW and import my images into Lightroom 5.7.  I've done lots of identical test shots with my old 7D and my new 7D2.  The 7D2 shots usually look softer and cooler and generally of lesser image quality.  I can make up much of the difference using sharpening and tonal work in the Develop module, but this is a hassle.  Can anyone explain why this is happening?  Does Lightroom apply different settings when it imports RAW files from the 7D and 7D2?  Or am I seeing some inherent difference in the cameras.
    Thanks,
    Steve

The Adobe Standard profile is an attempt by Adobe to make the look of the camera be the same across different models; however, improvements in sensor technology and processing may lead to some differences so maybe you’re very sensitive to any color differences or maybe there is something wrong.  When the 7D Mark II is cooler is this after you’ve neutralized the WB by eyedroppering on a neutral object (gray card) or could it be the camera detecting a cooler WB, itself.
A lot of what you’re wondering about could be cleared up by more careful description of the process you’ve followed to ensure the WB is the same between the two cameras—whether it could be a difference in camera detection of WB or a difference in LR rendering of colors other than neutral due to Adobe Standard profile inter-model differences or just a mistake where neutrals aren’t neutral in your comparison.
If you’d like a separate opinion, post two comparable raw files, one 7D and 7D Mark II, and a screenshot of an X|Y  side-by-side in Lightroom that shows the differences you’re seeing.  Others would be able to say if the differences you’re seeing are within expectations or not.

  • Camera Raw plugin for Adobe CS

I am running Adobe CS (rather than the most recent version of Photoshop) on my PC.
I need to process RAW images from my Canon 30D.
Can I use Camera Raw 3.4 with my Adobe CS, even though it came out to support CS2?

The Adobe DNG Converter version 5.2 is obsolete by now.
At this point, you want the Adobe DNG Converter version 5.3, available here:

  • EXIF plugin for Photoshop CS3 MAC version

    Hello everyone,
Question: Does anyone know of an industry-standard, reliable EXIF plugin for Photoshop CS3 for MAC? I already have an EXIF tab in my File > File Info tab, but I specifically need a plugin that reads Shutter Actuations from an image. I need to know how many times a camera I just bought has been fired.
    Rambling Backstory:
I just bought a used Canon 1d Mark II on eBay, and I think it may have been misrepresented in the auction. The seller claimed that the camera only had around 29,000 shutter actuations.
She based this number on a program called "Cancount." When I received the camera, I took a test shot, and attempted to download cancount. Unfortunately, I ended up on some German web site, which asked me for 13 euros to download it.
Instead, I downloaded the free, and much more detailed Simple EXIF reader for Mac. This program said the camera was closer to 160,000 shutter actuations.
    Here's the screenshot:
    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3295/2681473080_c22f82591f_o.png
All I want to know is which program is more reliable, Cancount or Simple EXIF reader. OR, does anyone know of an industry-standard EXIF reader that everyone agrees gives a reliable shutter actuation count? Thanks everyone.

Maybe i am looking at something different here, but i usually check my frame count under photoshops file- info ,and once there i go to advanced, and under the fourth arrow called http-exif, i can see my frame count. it says aux-image number. not sure if that will help you.

  • When will Raw be updated for Canon Rebel T4i

When will the Adobe Elements plugin for "RAW" be updated for the newest Rebel camera?

What version of Elements? To install the most recent update for Camera Raw in Elements (version 7.3 which has support for the T4i) requires Elements 11. Previous versions of Elements can not use Camera Raw 7.3. So, you'll either need to upgrade to 11 or download and use the free DNG Converter to convert the Canon CR2 files to DNG. Go to the Digital Negative page and look for the downloas of the DNG Converter for Mac and Windows.

  • Where can I download a plug-in so that I can open CR2 for Canon G15?

These help pages just send me in circles and try to sell me new products. Can someone please tell me where can I download a plug in so that Photoshop Elements 9 OR CS5 can open CR2 files for Canon G15? Thanks very much.

The G15 was first supported by Camera Raw 7.3 (ACR7.3). ACR is the plugin which handles Raw files.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
ACR 7.3  is only compatible with Elements 11 (or later) and CS6 (or later). Not Elements 9 or CS5 unfortunately.
    Some options:
    Upgrade to PSE 12
Download the free Adobe DNG Converter, convert all your G15 Raw files to DNGs then open the DNG files in Elements 9
