need to fix plugin for Windows Vista Java jre1.0.6_24 with Firefox ???

The regular Firefox version as downloaded from the Mozilla server is a 32bit version

A 32 bit Firefox version only works with a 32 bit Java version and you need to place symlink to the Java plugin file (libnpjp2.so) in a location where Firefox finds it.
Did you try to delete the pluginreg.dat file to force Firefox to create a new file?

I have installed Flash Builder Premium and then ran Plugin Utility to plug it into an existing Eclipse install. Just to add to it (if it helps) - I'm able to run Flash Builder in standalone mode with Eclipse version that comes with it. However, the plugin into my existing Eclipse(3.7.2) won't work. Any idea what could be the problem?

Install Java plugin for IE without manual update or install

Hi,
I have a client machine with JRE installed. Now i see the problem that java plugin is not installed in IE. Is there anyway i could manually register java plugin for IE without using installer or java update ? would it be possible to use command line argument or such alternative please let me know.

without admin rights?Could anyone please explain, why it is so difficult for Sun to create an installation package for user without admin rights? The whole "GetJava"-program doesn't make any sense for ordinary users if they get the JRE downloaded seamlessly and then the installation fails due to missing admin rights. This way Java would never succeed on the desktop.

SOLVED VISTA JAVA 1.6.X 1.6.15 BROKEN JAVA CONSOLE IE8/FIREFOX HANGS

I recently inherited a problem where JAVA was broken on Vista Home Premium whenever you hit the java test page

the browser for both IE8 and FireFox 3.5.2 would just hang which required a forced kill, trying to start the java console through the vista control pannel, for the latest build just failed 1.6.15.
Trying to reinstall JAVA just failed, trying to downgrade JAVA failed trying other possible incompatibilities upgrading to vista SP2 had no effect.
Searching the web I found a number of hints then hit on what was the issue in that there was not one thing wrong but the JAVA install was broken in a number of places and so the problem was multi dimensional. The first task was figuring this out then gluing the pieces together
*If your control panel for JAVA when clicked on barfs a warning ending with "{color:#ff0000}*com.sun.deploy.panel.ControlPanel"{color}* you need to fix this so you can easily access the JAVA configuration parameters
1) First get the java console working put the following code into a file called in mycase javaconsole.bat amend it to suit your version/location of the javaw.exe file
cd C:\"Program Files"\Java\jre6\bin javaw.exe
{color:#0000ff} .\javaw -Xbootclasspath/a:..\lib\deploy.jar -Duser.home="%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%" -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true com.sun.deploy.panel.ControlPanel{color}

2) Create short-cut, put this on you desk top double click and say yes to whatever UAC security issue Vista pop's up and console now comes up. The vista control panel icon will remain broken hence the batch script hack to access it
3) Next piece is the java settings controlling the network, should java read the proxy settings from the browser itself FireFox/IE8. This needs to be set to {color:#ff0000}*direct*{color} if using a home network, that has no proxy infrastructure. This information was based of this following thread

PS IE8 no longer has the JAVA enabled as option in it's own advanced section
4) The above thread has the solution solved at the end as the :-
"It was the default setting for the 'Network Proxy Settings' in the java control panel.
The default setting 'Use browser settings' did not work for us.
We changed it to 'Direct Connection' and now java works correctly."

This is the last key in the puzzle as now you have the control panel working through the batch script also {color:#0000ff}*DISABLE the "Java Pluggin enabled the next generation Java Plug-in" under the security advanced tab*
You will now have a working system for VISTA JAVA

Where can I find details about the load balancing plugin for Sun Java Web Server 6.1?
Can I work around that by using the reverse proxy plugin and configure to work as a Load balancer?

I googled how to configure Java Plugin for FF 6 for Fedora 13 and the trick was to create a soft link from /home/<userID>/.mozilla/plugins to the above libnpjp2.so

Sun java plugin for Safari for windows

I have installed Safari in Windows XP. I tried to load my applet through safari. It doesn't ask for signing and doesn't run the applet. Actually safari uses its own java plugin . Is there any option to use sun java plugin for that one and run the signed applets. please reply immediately

We (Sun) don't have much experience with Safari on Windows at this point. Going forward, the new Java Plug-In in 6u10 should work with Safari on Windows, once Safari upgrades their NPAPI and NPRuntime interfaces to the versions in Firefox 3.

I installed php plugin 1.0 for sun java system webserver 7. But it supports default 2 DB mysql and postgresql. Can i configure oracle 10g DB support?

Using PHP with NSAPI plugin will definitely get you the best performance. However, if you are using PHP with NSAPI plugin enabled then you might have to be careful when you are installing any of the PHP extensions from PECL to make sure that they are thread safe.
Note: There can be a potential issue only when using any of PECL (http://pecl.php.net) extension and not with any PEAR (http://pear.php.net) extensions.
For example, if you PHP built for NSAPI and then using on top of WordPress or Drupal or on top of frameworks like ZF etc should not be a problem
To compile PHP 5.3 with NSAPI, you would do some thing like
./configure --with-nsapi=<web-server7-install-directory>
To compile PHP 5.3 with FastCGI, you would do some thing like
./configure enable-cgi enable-force-cgi-redirect

Hi All !
I hope this is the right forum. I have installed java plugin for firefox
I try the website javatester.org and I get a message saying:
Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running.
If I understand this correct this is not a firefox message but a java message
so...
I have used the java control panel and added the site to the site list
I also lowered the security settings to medium
Restarted the browser and tried again but no luck, what am I missing ?

from www.telegraphics.com.au. It did not work.
I am on Vista (Win 64-bits) so I tried the Vista work around. Still no

I need to know if there any java plugin for Internet Explorer on windows CE.net on a thin clinet like HP compaq t5000, my problem is that i have an oracle form that access to oracle databse, on the client i have thin client HP compaq t5000, oracle support told me to post my problem in java forums since there's no jinitiator support for windows ce.net, as the oracle forms is based on java applet, so it could be a solution if i can find a java plugin for windows ce.net on my thin client like that i can see the oracle form.........................
