Plugin not compatible
Since the update to Firefox ver 22.0.0 I can no longer use the Skype Click to Call feature will this be fixed soon? I enjoy Firefox but as I use this feature a lot I am forced to use IE or Chrome both of which still support the Skype Click to Call feature.
Please check with Skype about an updated version of their plugin.

Are you sure you are using the same plugin? You would get this message if
you used any plugin prior to 6.1 SP4 or 7.0 SP2.
Otherwise you should not get this error message when using the plugin from
either of the above releases.

thanks!Easiest is to install a portable Firefox 3.0.x version. The portable version uses its own profile and that way you do not have to make sure that the 3.0 version doesn't use the Firefox 3.6 profile.
You can do a custom install of the Firefox 3.0.19 version, but then you have to make sure that you do not start the Firefox 3.0 program after installing and first create a new profile for that version and create desktop shortcuts to start each version with its own profile to avoid corrupting files in the profile folder.

I tried to install Moonlight plugin version 3.9.9 (4 preview) on the latest version of Firefox. Error message is: "Novell Moonlight could not be installed because it is not compatible with with Firefox 6.0.2".
There isn't any versions of Moonlight that can be installed on Firefox 6.0.2.
Moonlight plugin worked very well with previous versions of Firefex.

I am trying to run Firefox inside of VMware Workstation V8 in Widows 7 and Fusion V4 in Mac OS X 10.7.2.
I first tried to restore a working profile backup of Firefox made with FEBE in windows inside of VMWARE, when I load Firefox more that half of the plugins that were working in Windows and OS X natively, are reporting as not compatible with this (V7.0.1) Firefox and will not update to a working version, as in many cases they are the latest version anyway.
Also it is inconsistent, as i have tried several times to install Firefox and restore the profile and each time it is not all the same plugins that are disabled and reporting as incompatible.
I have also tried to do a clean install of Firefox and going to the website and installing the plugins directly, and while i have not tried all of the disabled plugins, I am unable to install plugins that i am currently using in the same version of Firefox outside of VMware that are working and or can be installed when I am not running Firefox inside of VMware.If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data in the profile folder.

Print Studio Pro plugin is not compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 Editor for Mac
It appears that the latest version of Print Studio Pro PlugIn is not compatible with the Editor version of Photoshop Elements 12 for Mac as available on the App store. The install gives an error saying that it did not find a supported version of Photoshop Elements. This error has been reported before for Elements version 12 but was reportedly fixed in the latest version of Print Studio Pro. Now it appears that this version may support Elements 12 for Mac but not the Editor only version from the app store. Any suggestions for work-around on this?

Not untill Mac and Adobe and Canon get their collective acts together. Mac (Apple) has the bad habit of upgrading their stuff and not being forthcoming with the particulars given to 3rd party companies like Canon and Adobe.
Besides the cost difference of Mac's the compatibility issues are it's worst features.

When preparing to update Firefox 4 to Firefox 5, a message appears that say Logmein plugin 1.0.0.652 is not compatible. I require Logmein every day. So should I stay at FF4 until this is fixed?
version 1.0.0.664 works in Firefox 5. No need for hacking in this case.

I have always updated firefox until version 6 which I uninstalled and now I have version 4. Version 6 was not compatible with several extensions such as adobe flashplayer, some java.... too many. Version 7 will have the same problems? I will not update my version if those problems continue.

Extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like the Java Console extension have a minimum and maximum version and may get disabled.<br />
Extensions are provided by third-party developers and it may take some time to have them updated or the creator may decide to stop the support for the new Firefox version and abandon the extension like happened with the Google Toolbar. -
when attempting to install calendar plug in clock plug in, I am getting an error message that says not compatible with v8.0. even when I filter by versions compatible with v8.0 this message comes up.

Found workaround for that problem.
# Open up the about:config page (type it in the address bar and enter) and then right-click anywhere in the about:config page and choose New –> Boolean.
# Write extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0 and make it false.
What it does, is disables automatic compatibility checking from firefox, so you could still use your older add-ons that are not compatible with firefox 4.

Cannot open file, Photoshop is not compatible with this version of photoshop. 2 weeks
This has been a problem for almost 2 weeks now. Cant save any work in photoshop, files are unretrievable once closed. I get the same error message. I spent all of last week online with Adobe Tech support, screen sharing conference etc, now iMac isnt working properly. AAARRFGGHH.

Last week Adobe via screen share uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop, took a few hours and still nothing. I have lost many hours work here. Cant reach Adobe and I am really pissed off. I should add that last night I tried to contact Adobe to see what the hold up was. I went and tried to open up the case file (No it had not been withdrawn and was still active), but it would not open. So, I started up a new support file with a whole new case number, I received an email this morning from Adobe saying that I would have to communicate with them through the original case #. Went to respond to this email today and the NEW case file had been withdrawn.
Yes, I have read all the user forums on this stuff for months, NO I am not using any Anti Virus stuff, No I did not upgrade my Macs at the time of the prob appearing! Thanks

File is not compatible with this version of Photoshop error
Computer crashed yesterday and now I am getting "File is not compatible with this version of Photoshop" error and unable to opening in PS CS5 or Fireworks CS5. Any ideas? Also tried the PS repair download and would rather not pay $30 to find out it can't do it. Seems like a common error but in all of the forums I haven't found a solid answer. Appreciate some real advise.

There are 3 possible reasons for that error: file corruption on disk, more than 8000 layers in the file, or a layer somehow went over 30,000 pixels in a PSD file (which would be legal in PSB, but not in PSD). -
Hi, Im having trouble with the Gmail manager plugin. I recently upgraded to the latest version of firefox and after i did this for some reason the gmail manager plugin decided not to log into my account any more. It did say that it was compatible with the new version but i reverted back to the older version just to be sure and the same thing keeps happening. I have it set up to auto log in to my account wen i open the browser but a little window keeps coming up in the middle of my browser asking if this is my account and password and i click confirm and it trys to log me in but 3 sec's later it comes up again and again until i click cancell and it doesnt log me in. Any ideas? A setting or something changed or just not compatible anymore? Cheers Phill

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
With SilverLight, Microsoft attempted to create their own version of what a replacement for Flash could be - but not to universal acclaim. You can read more about it here:

So, if you go to any sites that have been designed for this new Silverlight stuff, you can download the plug-in from here (but make certain that you are downloading SilverLight v.1.0 for OS X (10.4.8 upwards) if you are using a PPC Mac, but even this will not work with Safari 4. Version 2 only works with Intel Macs and does work with Safari 4/5. The solution is to download and install the latest version of Flip4Mac, which now includes a Silverlight component:

But the latest news is that Microsoft will probably abandon Silverlight in favour of HTML5:
