Plugin not found in eclipse

In Windows 7 32-bit I just installed the latest eclipse (Indigo) and flash builder (4.6). Following the plugin install instructions I ran the utility program. When I run eclipse nothing indicates that it found the plugin -- nothing in perspectives or views menus, nothing in the install history/plugins. Looking in my eclipse dropin directory I see a .link file to the flash builder directory.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?

And now I know the answer (I hope)......
1) On windows 7, life is a LOT easier if Eclipse is NOT located in "Program Files". Put it in the root, as in "/eclipse".
2) Through trial and error it seems that Flash Builder 4.6 does NOT work with the latest Eclipse, which is 4.7.1. It does seem to work fine with 4.7.0 (i.e. the same version distributed with the almost 1GB download -- who thought that was a good idea?). With Eclipse 3.7.1, playing around with the Flash preferences randomly crashes Eclipse (I have not seen an Eclipse crash in many years -- kudos to Adobe).
3) It seems that some of the Eclipse defaults under Flash Builder are off. Under instaled flex sdks I had to manually point it to the right directories.

Using OSX 10.8 DW CS6 when I click "live" it says "flash plugin" "not found".

My default browser is Chrome. DW uses Chrome as the primary browser. (FFox is secondary.)
I do have Firefox and do not have Flash on it. I open Flash content Chrome, and I installed an HTML5 video viewer add-on in FFox (but haven't tried it yet).
I also have the Dreamweaver HTML5 Video View add-on, so why am I getting that message? Furthermore, the HTML code doesn't have any Flash objects. (The code is the source HTML from www.google.com page, without any changes.)
How do I make DW display the "Live" view of the code without giving me an error? (My end goal is to find out what google does when you enter something in the search box and hit the Enter key, actually, I'd like to see why the result of the search is displayed the way it is - default should be Web view, but Image view shows instead. I want Web to show!)

I'm sorry Phil, but you can't learn much from Google's source code because search engines are dynamically programed with behind-the-scenes code and content from databases that you can't see. You're just spinning your wheels here. If you want to learn how to make a search engine, I'd be happy to point you to some relevant PHP & MySql tutorials.
The issue still remains that DW is giving me the error (flash plugin not found)
When DW starts acting weird, the first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache in DW

BI 4.0.6 Visual Differance - Plugin not found error. (VDS 00007)

To All,
Issues with Visual Differnace in BI 4.0 w/ SP6, still unable to run compare between LCMBIAR. I am getting Plugin not found error. (VDS 00007).
Does anyone have Visual Differance working yet.

Mfc9011.exe Error and MP3 plugin not found

I am on Captivate 4, and I am getting the following errors when I try to publish: Mp3 plugin not found and
"mfc9011.exe has encountered a problem."
It suggests I reinstall captivate, which I did to no avail.
I get both errors when I attempt to 'preview next 5 slides" or publish.
I don't have skype. Adobe Support cannot find a solution.

Sorry, my crystal ball appears to be broken and my psychic skills aren't quite there yet.
What operating system are you using? If you come back and say Vista 64 bit, you need to know there are lots of different issues involved with this OS. There is not a Captivate version to date that has been blessed by Adobe to say it will work flawlessly with this OS.

Android plugin not working in Eclipse on Arch 64bit

Hi, I'm having some trouble getting the android plugin to work. I know there are a lot of similar threads about this on this forum and google but nothing seems to work. I have installed Eclipse 4.2 through pacman. I removed openJDK and installed Oracle's jdk/jre.
java -version:
java version "1.7.0_06"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_06-b24)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.2-b09, mixed mode)
I manually edited Eclipse's ini file to find the jre:
-vm
/opt/java/jre/bin/java
I did this before logging out or rebooting. And Eclipse would open ok and use the jre/jdk. I Then tried to install the ADT plugin and it would install without problem. I rebooted Eclipse but there were no signs of the plugin. No android project creation or android preferences. The plugin shows listed as installed.
I then tried downloading android-eclipse from AUR and rebooted. But Eclipse looks the same.
I have no idea what could be wrong here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have same problem but not able to solve it.
I was running elcipse 3.7.x with ADT plugin without problems.
after eclipse update to 4.2.1 I am not able to use ADT. Eclipse is saying that it is installed but could not find anything from it in enviroment.
I did reinstall eclipse and eclipse-emf eclipse-gef eclipse-wtp and follow http://developer.android.com/sdk/instal … g-adt.html but not sucess. Later I did find this https://developers.google.com/eclipse/d … clipse-4.2 but it is still same. ADT is installed but cannt use it.

Plugin Not Found, Cannot Open INDD File

Hi everyone. I'm using clean default installs of InDesign CC and InCopy CC. I attempted to open an INDD file in InCopy, and got an error message telling me IC cannot open the file because a plugin was not found.
I selected OK and in spite of the "cannot open file" header in the warning box and subsequent "do you want to open the file anyway" question in its fine print, the file opened without a problem. I then came here to the forum.
There was a message in the forum header that advised me a bugfix was made to prevent ID and IC from opening incompatible plugins, and I'm assuming that's what generated the error message.
I have two questions. How do I identify the program that installed this incompatible plugin so that I can properly remove it from my system?

I am currently experiencing a very similar problem(using CS6).
I have custom InDesign Preflight Plugins installed (so i know atleast what is causing my error).
As you mentioned, the file does open correctly after dimissing the error.
My question is:
Is there a way to avoid this error on opening items in InCopy?

Oci_connect() not found thru Eclipse

I used the Eclipse to write a php file to invoke oci_connect() and although I can see oci_connect() in my list of PHP functions, but when run the php script, it complains that oci_connect() is not found. Here is the error message
Debug Error: banklogic.php line 59 - Call to undefined function oci_connect()

Check the output of the phpinfo() function in PHP. Check php was compiled with oci8 or you have enabled and/or built the oci8 shared library (depending on your platform). Check you have Oracle client libraries e.g. Oracle Instant Client.

Main Not found in Eclipse Editor

I am trying to run a simple java program in Eclipse for the first time, and it is giving me the error:
" The active editor does not contain mail type".
I am confused as where is the problem.

Licq msn plugin not found

where can i download the licq msn plugin, the licq site www.licq.org implies that it is in thepackage but i cannot find it or how to enable it. does anyone know how i enable it?
note: I have tried licq from both testing and extra
the /usr/local/lib/licq/ indicated on the licq site under plugins does exist

plugins are stored in usr/lib/licq instead but is empty except for the qt plugin... compiled the msn plugin myself, but it crashes when you attempt to send message

Eclipse 2.0. The "Kodo" menu appears in the wrong perspective (the CVS
Repository Exploring Perspective). This makes it generally unusable.
Anyone else tried this with better success?

Problem solved. After closing the perspectives I had open and reopening
them, the menu showed up in the correct perspectives.

I'm having a little problem with java!
I have to install java virtual machine version 1.4.2_07 in various computers with many operational systems! All Windows... 98,XP,2K and Me.
but we have lots of problems with win98 .
When the installation is complete and i try to run the program, the java virtual machine is not loaded and i get a message error!
Javaclass: pluginNotFound and a red X or gray tarje appears in the browser! (Internet Explorer)
? is the same thing when i don't install the jre ...
can anyone help me?

AIR does use WebKit, but WebKit is just the HTML rendering
engine—it doesn't include any plugins. Nor is the AIR copy of
WebKit shared in any way with the browser on your machine. The only
plugins supported by AIR applications are Reader (for PDF) and
Flash Player (for SWF).

Wassup with this? I would like to install rythmbox, but without the gstreamer plugins, I can't play most of my 23 gb library.

gstreamer is available. Have you updated your packages list? (pacman -Sy)
You can search for packages with "pacman -Ss gstreamer" or with the Packages link at the top of this page.
