Plugin or API from Adobe (for Adobe Reader) for Business Website?

I am looking for a plugin or API from Adobe (Adobe Reader or whatever will accomplish this) that can be added to our business website to make it easier for users to search through our manuals when they have questions about using the software. Does it exist? I want users to be able to type in a string and have the Adobe product search through all our PDF files for the file/page with that information.
If I am in the wrong forum please redirect me because I have been trying get help with this since 8am. Thank you.

Ok, you can go with one of the following:
* A search engine on the web server. There may well be one there already, needing to be set up to search a particular folder. Or you may be able to configure a search page without any need for setup. Refer to your web server admin.
* An intranet search engine. There may be one already on your intranet, just needing to be set up. Or you may be able to configure a search page without any need for setup. Refer to your intranet admin.
* A variation on the intranet search engine is the search box, such as the google appliance, a separate box on the internal network which becomes your private Google. Pricy, but readily understood by senior management.

Why won't Adobe Acrobat or Reader for Mac maximize on second monitor?

Just what the question says. Running Mavericks, of course, and when I drag a Adobe Acrobat or Reader window to my second monitor and press the maximize button, it moves to the first monitor and maximizes there instead. No combination of modifier keys and maximize clicks will work either. The rest of my Adobe Creative Suite maximizes correctly on either monitor. What's with Acrobat?

I'm having the exact same issue... However, I do have the "Displays have separate spaces" option activated.
I can maximize a PDF on my larger primary monitor... But when I drag a PDF over to my smaller secondary screen and hit the maximize "+" button, it shoots the window back over to my other monitor.
Can someone help? This is driving me crazy. I also tried deactivating the "Displays have separate spaces" option to see if that worked... but that didn't.
Other apps work just fine. Chrome behaves exactly as I expect when hitting the maximize button.

i just bought a voyager mobile phone from verizon. was told to export music from itunes onto a memory card. but the card reader doesnt show when i open itunes. how can i export music into my voyager phone from itunes? can i do it directly or do i need a card reader? if so,how do i it?

Only the iPod range and the iTunes enabled phones from Motorola are compatible with iTunes for Windows and with songs from the iTunes Music Store. If you have any standard iTunes songs that are DRM (Digital Rights Management) copy protected you won't be able to use them on a Non Apple device. Is the Phone or the Memory card showing as a mounted device on your desktop? Access the phone/card through Finder then drag and from what you wanted onto it from your iTunes Music folder.

MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.6. The font size for the tabs and bookmarks Toolbar is too small for comfortable reading for older eyes. Is there a way to change it or enlarge it?

The font size is smaller and harder to read than on FF 3.x. Would like to make it a few points larger or choose a different, more readable font altogether.

How to install plugins for Adobe Reader as non-root?

I'm using Acrobat on a linux system, but I'm not the administrator. I need to install a new plugin (FileOpen.api from www.nr.com) to open their pdf-files. They explain very nice how to place that plugin in the plug_ins directory, but that's a systems directory and you need to be root to do that, which is not an option in my case. However: it is very common practice on linux systems that these type of things can also be installed under some users-dir, for example ~/.acrobat/plug_ins This example definitely does NOT work, but which directory will work?

You can place your plugins in a folder named 'plug_ins' under your home directory:
$HOME/plug_ins
They will be picked up by the Adobe Reader if they are Reader-enabled.

I have a cd's that require the latest Adobe and Acrobat Reader for Mac to open. I tried without and it doesn't work. Can anyone help? I currently have a Mac version 10.6.8.

Calling OIM API from a remote system

I have OIM 9031 server installed on a computer HostA. And I have multiple copies of the 3rd party java program installed on HostB, HostC and so on.
I need to be able to call some OIM API from that custom java program (for example, receive the list of active users from OIM server).
According to OIM documentation, I can use Remote manager to manage users on non-network awared systems.
But what if I use Remote manager for calling remote OIM API ? Is that possible?
Or are there any easier ways to achieve my goal ?

The installer in the AD sync connector is provided because in addition to having the OIM API client, there is a DLL that needs to be installed and registered to capture the plaintext password. It is not necessary to have an installer, but it might be be a convenience if you are deploying to many machines.

From here you can write whatever methods you need going against tcUtilityFactory. Also note that you will need many of the jars from your lib directory as well as the properly configured xl.config and other files in the config directory that the design console client uses (I usually just copy them from that install). Last you will need to make sure you have the required jars specific to you app server (the ones you need to copy over during the design console install)

Calling Java API from ABAP using JCo

I need to call Java API from ABAP & BSP also. For this I have got useful information related to JCo from following blog:

But, I am facing one problem. On executing Java program myExample5.java (recommended by Gregor Wolf) from command line I get following error message:

From the error i think that the error is with the hostname.
Please enter the the Application Server IP/Hostname.
If you are loggin to SAP System "XX1" from SAP GUI. Then click the change Item tab and see Application server name/IP let say "XX2" for hostname or "xx.xx.xx.xx" for IP.
Replace srv[0] = new Server("gateway","sapgw00","JCOSERVER01",repository);
with srv[0] = new Server("XX2","sapgw00","JCOSERVER01",repository);
If App Server is IP then replace with
srv[0] = new Server("xx.xx.xx.xx","sapgw00","JCOSERVER01",repository);
Let me know if it is throwing any error.

I don't think so, as the .lit format is a Microsoft Reader format. However, I think there are .lit converters out there on the Internet.
For a reader for the N80 you could use Mobipocket, for example.

APIs for Adobe Reader to get the x, y co-ords,width,height of all elements (text/image) in a PDF doc

Hi all,
I have written a Acrobat plugin using PDFEdit APIs to extract x, y co-ordinates, width and height of all elements(objects) in a PDF document.
Now, I wanted to make the same working on Adobe Reader.I have added the READER_PLUGIN macro enabled in Project settings.
When I re-compiled the code, I got a bunch of errors saying all PDFEdit APIs are not available under Adobe Reader.
My objective is to parse through the entire PDF document and get x, y co-ordinates, width, height of all PDF objects (especially Image and Text objects).
Can anybody help me how to achieve this ?

I know that we cannot obtain the PDEContent of a PDF page from Adobe Reader, as PDEContent is modifiable content and as such it cannot be accessible from Adobe Reader.
Also, as PDFEdit API's does not work for Adobe Reader, we are trying to figure out a way to achieve this for Adobe reader.
I am curious to know if the COS APIs can help us in this task.
I tried to read the stream content using PDPageStmGetToken API. I get the data of this format:
344.88 0 0 91.44 71.882 41.92cm
Here, as per PDF reference, I am getting only distance from X Axis and distance from Y Axis. But not width and height.
Can you knidly let us how to get the image attributes (primarly read only attributes like x and y co-ordinates, width and heoght) with Cos APIs.
