Plugins for Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  Where are they??

In Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Software on the menu bar open Help > About Adobe Plugins.  A list of installed and/or available plugins for the program are displayed and marked certified.  However, several of the plugins listed are also listed as not installed.  It appears plugins are downloaded by default during initial installation since I hadn't actually contributed to the list's contents.  There doesn't seem to be a way manage plugins?  Where are these missing plugins and how do I install them.  Please advise only if you know the answer. I am running Win7 64bit.

Plugins are stored in the folder plugins of Acrobat. Not all plugins are loaded at startup of Acrobat.

  • I would like to create a plugin for adobe acrobat pro 9.0...

I would like to create a plugin for adobe acrobat pro 9.0 in order to compare pages, delete the same pages and mark pages from first compared document with new and mark pages from second compared document with original. I downloaded the SDK for adobe 9.0 but now I am not sure how to continue? Do I need Visual Studio or can I use another program that is a freeware? What other program do you recommend?  How can I open an .api file in order to see the code? Do I need to place the SDK files in a specific place?

    1. You will need Visual Studio. Getting your first plug-in to compile can be an ordeal, be sure to use a sample project and work with it exactly.
    2. API files are the work of other programmers. You cannot look inside, and to try to do so is a breach of most software licenses.
    3. API files are installed to the Acrobat plug-ins folder.
    4. You will not find samples or code to copy/paste. You should be an experienced C/C++ programmer, you should be familiar with the basics of the PDF file format ISO 32000-1, and you should be prepared to read thousands of pages of documentation.

For Adobe Acrobat X Pro how do you change the font size when Acrobat is in Form Editing Mode? The fonts are different sizes in the highlighted fields.  I want the font the same size throughout my document...

    Dear Michael:
The documents do not look professional with the 2 different font sizes.  And it

  • I have paid for Adobe Acrobat XI Pro OCR but it will not recognise a letter in the serial number for me to update my adobe account and any of the programs I have tried using to convert a PDF file on a Mac to a word doc it is converting file with funny sym

I have been supplied info in an email to copy and paste for a new product purchase "Adobe Acrobat XI Pro OCR" but am unsure how and where to copy and paste to. There is also a link below the serial number. I have tried entering serial number into my Adobe ID but it is not recognising one of the letters in the 24 Digit serial number??? Also I have tried other products previously downloaded to convert a 7 page PDF file on my Mac and convert it to a Word doc but everything I have tried is converting the file to display some text correctly but also displays random symbols and fonts in place of the handwritten info filled in on the form... also getting blank pages included instead of the info??? Would appreciate some help... I am older generation and not always tech savvy, and it is doing my head in haha.

    Hi Jock,
I've checked your account, and all is well there. Please make sure that you're logging in with the same Adobe ID/password that you used when you signed up.
Then, clear the browser cache, and try logging in directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com.
Please let us know how it goes.

I have been racking my head for a couple of days on this and was just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

    Thanks for this information...
I did test and this does function correctly as I would like it to. I will discuss this with my team and see if this is viable or if we need to put some logic in front of the uninstall.

  • Installation Error for Adobe Acrobat X Pro

I just purchased Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Student and Teacher Edition).  I've also received my serial number for it.  When I attemt to install it, I instantly get an install error for system requirements.  I have....
2.4 GHz processor (1.3 GHz required)
Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2
    IE 8 and Firefox 12 (IE7 or 8/Firefox 3.5 or 3.6 required)
2.99 GB of RAM (512 MB required)
1024x768 resolution (1024x576 required and mine is all mine will do)
    DVD-ROM drive
Can anyone help??  Thanks in advance!!

Actually I finally figured that out.  I had no idea there was 32- or 64-bit version of XP.  Once I got that, I had no more issues.  I just don't know how to close the topic.
    Thanks for your reply!!

How to enable AutoSplit or install plugin in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

Acrobat is not an page layout program.
Do fields overlap on a paper form?
You cold make a form field read only but then you need to figure out to change this as your form is filled out.
I would not overlap form fields.

  • Check for Available Downloads... (where are they?)

My daughter has purchased several songs from iTunes using her iPhone and my iTunes account. She never synchs with her Powerbook, so I can't do a Home Share to transfer them to my own, or any of the other computers on our home network. However, according to the iTunes menu, any song bought using our iTunes account should automatically download to my computer. At least that's how I set the preferences.
But it's not working - when I go to the "Check for Available Downloads..." menu it tells me that all my purchases have been downloaded but these new songs are not in my Library. Is iTunes not recognizing that she has purchased them with the same account? (my credit card is certainly being charged using that account) So where are they? How do I get them on our other other computers - and eventually on our respective iPad and iPods?
Any thoughts, instructions or clarifications on how this works, would be appreciated.

Do you have automatic downloads turned 'on' for your account on your computer's iTunes ? If not then you can turn it 'on', but that will only take effect from the next purchase.
Depending upon what country that you are in (it's not possible everywhere) then you might be able to re-download them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.

  • License for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro no longer works -- Why?

I am getting a very strange error message that indicates my license is no longer valid. I have captured a screen image of the error and would like for someone to look at it. Hopefully, this problem can be solved quickly, as I am in the middle of some Acrobat work. PLEASE HELP!
Note so far I have tried the following (in this order):
    1. Did a repair from the Help pulldown menu.
    2. Downloaded from Adobe a completely new Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 (AA Pro 9) and then did a repair.
    3. Disable Norton's firewall protection.
    4. Uninstalled AA Pro 9 and then re-installed the newly downloaded AA Pro 9 (in 2.)
None of these fixed the problem. I have a Windows Vista (32-bit) platform.
Here are the details of the error message:
Label: Licensing for this product has stopped working
    Contents:
You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling
and reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe Customer
    support for help.

After you uninstalled, you should have done two additional steps before the reinstall: 1. Deleted any left over parts of the Acrobat folder and 2. run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html. These are not sure to solve the problem, but in many cases the problem is related to errors in the registry that the cleaner resolves. Sometimes, there are also some corrupt files left in the Acrobat folder, particularly some bad addons that can be an issue.

  • Subtraction for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

I have an Order Form (originally I downloaded it and didn't have the Fill In Options), I made it into the Fill In version of a PDF.  What I'd like to do is to have the TOTAL - CREDIT ENCLOSED= TOTAL ENCLOSED.  In the drop down list all I see are:  sum (+), product (x), average, minimum and maximum.  Is there a customized script in order to do subtraction in Acrobat?

If those are your field names, you will need to create a custom calculation script. For the 'TOTAL ENCLOSED' field you could use the following script:
    event.value =  this.getField('TOTAL').value - this.getField('CREDIT ENCLOSED').value;
This assumes you are using AcroForms and not LiveCycle Designer. If you are using LiveCycle Designer, please look at the 'Scripting Reference' under the 'Help' menu option.
