Plumtree job dispatcher service

How come I cannot run the Plumtree Job Dispatcher Service under "Local System" or "Local Service" built-in account on Window NT server? It can only run under an user account.
Is there away for me to configure the service to run under "Local System"

To my knowledge there is nothing that prohibits the Automation sever from running as the Local System Account. My windows w2K3 laptop is configured this way.

I assuming you are on 5.0.2. If so, please refer to chapter 3(Pre-installation) of the install document, specifically the setup of the automation server user. The stated error indicates that the automation user info you entered into the installer does not match up with the entries in the pre-install steps.

First Check Forefront Identity Manager is Working (miisclient.exe). If this is starting most of the time their are no issues in Forefront Identity manager service and Sync Service. If so we have to check the databases for permission.

If this not working (Most of the time this is the issue).
we need to check following windows services. (Services.msc)
if miisclient.exe is not working either above service may not work. so try to start the service. if it is a login problem it will say that can not strat due to login problem.
then go to Properties
and check logOn username,password and Account.
After correcting this try to restart the profile service and synchronization in the SharePoint after restarting the IIS.

Who scheduled a job with service user

Hi,
In my one of the system one job is running with service user. As service user cannot log into system. One of the dialog user logged in to system and scheduled one job with service user. this job is running more than 2 months. Now we want to know who is that dialog user scheduled this job with service user. I have checked in job details it is not showing dialog user who has sheduelded first time.
Pls someone help me in this case.

Just check the job owner.... If the Owner is the service user then most likely the user was changed to service user after the job creation. Also be aware that some jobs are generated by the system.

you need to set diagnostic=no in rwservlet.properties as follows---

Dispatcher service is showing stopped

Dear Team,
I have fresh installed solution manager 7.1 on windows 2008 standard. Installation finished successfully
After then i have started sap management console; but in that Dispatcher (disk+work) status showing stopped.
Message server & IGS watchdog working OK
Please help, how to start this service

Invoking plumtree job via plumtree server api

Hi,
I am trying to invoke a portal job identified by a job id using plumtree server api. How do i invoke it.
I tried using IPTJob etc but couldn't succeed.
I could do this using plumtree remote api like using IJobManager.
My question is how to do it using plumtree serve api.

Discrete Job for Service

- Want to create a standard discrete job (Not the non-standard) for a service item (Item that does not build onhand after job completion).

With non-std jobs i loose the functionality of put assembly item and rather rely upon reference BOMs and Reference Routings, which creates confusion for fast moving line.
I want to avoid non-std job creation path.

Dispatcher services in Running state with Yellow status

Dear Team
Kindly advise on issue where we are facing an issue on SAP SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Application server. When we are bringing up the services through windows batch file then it is not coming up sucessfully and in hang stage due to which messages are not posted.

Hello all:
Here is my new problem.
Everything was going fine untill I finished the post installation activites on PI7.0. I am not sure if I missed any step or not.
After the changes I stopped the instance and restarted it and the "Disp+word.exe" is yellow with the message <b>"Running, Message Server connection ok, Dialog Queue time: J2EE:Some Processes running".</b>
I can't connect to Visual admin. Getting an error when hit connect "<b>unable to loockup connection default, http:
sapinst001:8010/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of conneciton parameters"</b>
Check the log files and here are some info from them:

It's important to understand if the dispatcher is not running or just the server is not running: try to look to the log files
/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<nr>/work/dispatcher
/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<nr>/work/server0
and
/usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/defaultTrace.trc
You should find the error that prevent the java application to start.
The more common reason are the inability to detect the path of JRE or some parameter wrong in the configtool

Plumtree Crawler Web Services for NT File Systems

Hi,
I'm working with Corporate portal v5.0.4J. I'm trying to figure out if the 'crawler web services for NT file systems' are build into the portal or whether it is an optional component that needs to be installed?
Any info is appreciated.

The Windows Files Content Service is a separate component from the portal. You can download this component from the Product Center.

I installed ims 5.2 in w2k professional.when i start services using start-msg bat file, job controller service gives 1067 system error.have anyone worked successfully with ims 5.2 on w2k professional.

See previous Q&A on this site, but I believe the answer is no. Not only is this not supported, but it does not work.
If you have to have Windows 2K then to make things work use iMS 5.1. I've heard that this will function. If you have to have iMS 5.2 then switch to a supported configuration.

needs to authenticate users from a Windows NT 4.0 domain controller. What's
the best solution to this?
- What (inexpensive) LDAP-servers supports synchronization with a Windows
domain controller?
- Or am I missing out on other ways of doing this?
