Plural Eyes 3 Issue with CS6

Hey Everyone,
I've started another project once again. On this endeavor I've exported once again all my footage to Plural Eyes 3 yet on returning the synced footage to Premiere CS6 only two clips with its corresponding audio are returned back. Does anyone know why? Thank you in advance.

How come there was never a hint of a problem with external monitoring with AJA hardware while working in FCP for years, but Adobe is still tinkering?
I know this was rhetorical, but I suspect the answer is because Adobe chose to maximize GPU usage, external monitoring is a band-aid they decided to add later, and that the two options are fighting one another for resources.  Perhaps a solid solution will materialize by trashing our Quadros and buying one of the GPUs that has an SDI pipe on it.  That way, nVidia can do the work, Adobe can relax, and AJA can seek other markets. (In that scenario, AJA certainly has an interest in getting this working.  But, considering how well AJA products work with Avid and Apple, I'm inclined to exculpate AJA from being the weak link here.)
When you consider that Avid and Apple have been able to deliver solid performance using AJA (etc.), it seems clear that it's the GPU, which the others don't use in as significant a way, that's the glaring difference.
If it turns out that Adobe led us down the garden path on this, and we're going to need to buy a new GPU, I do hope they have the courage to admit their reach exceeded their grasp, make a public apology, and perhaps even offer to share in the cost of crossgrading hardware to something that works for those who bought on the basis of claims made.

  • Pen pressure issues with CS6

So, I'm having an odd issue with my tablet and its pressure sensitivity with CS6. I've got a Genius MousePen tablet; M508W model. I can use it on my mac computer with photoshop elements; pen pressure works just fine with it. In CS6, when I do the stroke preview for all of my burshes, it shows the tapering-- as well as in the brush settings. When I go to make an actual rush stroke though, it doesn't apply the pressure settings. I've got the most recent drivers for the tablet downloaded, All of the old driver software was uninstalled, I've made sure that the drivers are for my version of windows, I've tried setting the compatability back to windows 7 and using the windows 7 drivers, but STILL nothing. The only reason I'm lead to believe that this is an issue with CS6 is that the tablet works with PS Elements just fine. If anyone could help shed some light on the situation, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I am having a similar issue.
Working in CS6 on a Cintiq Companion.
Pressure sensitivity disappears while I'm working.
The only way to get it back is to quit out of Photoshop and relaunch.
The pressure sensitivity works fine in Autodesk Sketchbook.

  • I just had another issue with cs6 locking up.

I just had another issue with cs6 locking up.  This time, I was in cs6 beta working on an image, I went to file/open to open another existing file in photoshop, and when the finder window popped up to select a .jpg to open up, the cursor wouldn't respond to the finder window that was opened up, and I couldn't close it out, and I had to force quite cs6.

If I'm reading this correctly, your last kernel panic (that's what these are called) occured six months ago.  Is that correct?  It probably does not have anything to do with the number of windows you have open; I suspect it has to do with one of the third party kexts or non-apple hardware.  My guess would be something with parallels (is the software up to date?), but if you're only getting panics at 6 month intervals it's really hard to diagnose.
Kernel panics aren't fun, but they aren't the end of the world.  make sure you keep regular backups, and if you can figure out how to replicate the panic at a more frequent interval we can figure it out.

  • PS CC running extremely slow...  No issues with CS6...

Same system...  CS6 runs perfectly fine, close it, then load CC, not even workable.  Close CC and reload CS6 and it runs fine...
Is CC really that much more hardware dependent?  I feel like the issue is software related and has nothing to do with my machine...  My Machine isn't some kind of powerhouse, but it does have 8gb of ram, and again, no real issues with CS6...

I am having this same problem and can't figure out what is going on.  CS6 runs excellent, CC is unbearable.  two second delay on almost everything.  It is unusable.
    Windows machine:
    -Windows 8
    -Intel i7 970 3.2GHz with HyperThreading
-Solid State main drive (C drive)
    -12GB RAM
    Any suggestions?

  • Issue with CS6 Image in CC

Has anyone come across an issue with opening a CS6 file with luminosity, and other effects applied where when you open it in CC it drops most all the effects? Any solutions to this? I still need to be able to manipulate the artwork in CS6 and CC and allow others to open it but am concerned that the effects are dropping off. When I opened it in CC the artwork was completely changed due to colors changing and effects disappearing.

I don't have a direct answer to your question, as I still run CS6, but I do read this forum daily and I don't remember seeing any other complaints about your problem. As hard as that might make it for you to get substantive help, it might lead to a better understanding of the problem if you restate it with more specific details and better attention to your terminology. Here's what I mean:
Issue with CS6 Image in CC
Thread title says "image," which is a term most commonly applied to raster images as opposed to native Illustrator vector art. Nothing else in the post makes it clear whether your problem pertains to raster images, vector graphics, or both.
..with luminosity, and other effects applied...
Some ambiguity there too. Luminosity is a Blend Mode, whereas Effects are really something different. Again, it's not clear whether your problem pertains to Blend Modes, Effects, or both.
When I opened it in CC the artwork was completely changed due to colors changing and effects disappearing.
This sounds like a particular instance involving a particular file, but it's not clear whether your problem pertains to just one file, or several, or all. It would really help to post a detailed description of one instance, including the file contents, any/all Blend Modes and/or Effects used, and specifically, which ones drop away and exactly how it affects the outcome.

  • Issues with CS6 and Adobe Application Manager

When trying to open an Adobe CS6 application, a crashing loop begins. The AAM opens and closes once per second in the Dock, along with the application I was attempting to open.  Because of the constant open and closing of these apps, it's almost impossible to get the mouse or keyboard to focus for enough time to do a force quit on either application, and a hard reboot is usually required to break out of the cycle. I had the entire suite uninstalled and reinstalled, but several weeks later, the issue resurfaced.

There was an issue with the serialization file created.
Creating a new serilaization file via AAMEE and running it resolved the issue.
Create a serialization file via AAMEE: http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/creativesuite/pdfs/Ad obeApplicationManagerEnterpriseEditionDeploymentGuide_v_3_1.pdf
And then run it via command line.
    Here are the steps:
AdobeSerialization (serialization file created using AAMEE 3.1) is not a double clickable file. You need to run it via command line to serialize the products. the command line is -
    AdobeSerialization --tool=VolumeSerialize --stream --provfile=”Absolute_Path_of_prov.xml”
    where
--tool=VolumeSerialize:  specifies that the tool needs to process the prov.xml file to serialize.
--provfile” specifies the absolute file path to the prov.xml file,
By default, the tool looks for the prov.xml file in the same directory as the executable file and so
typically you do not need to specify this option. (Specify this option only if the prov.xml file is in some
    other location.)
Make sure you invoke command prompt with Admin privileges. Return code of zero means success.
Tiffany can you please confirm the same?

  • Known issues with CS6

Does anyone have a list or a url of known issues for CS6 - specifically - Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat.
    Work in OSX Lion
I am up to 50 views with no response - so I'll change the question.
Is anyone using CS6 on OSX Lion experieincing any issues?

Jeff has provided the generic artcle of the issue of the Adobe product with the Mac Lion
However find the link below for the Indesign and Illustrator sepcific known issues.

  • Saving issues with CS6

Is there an issue with saving in InDesign CS6?  I keep trying to want to "Save" after I make a slight change and the software keeps trying to "Save As" and create a new file.  I will not allow me to save over the old file and it's annoying the hell out of me.

No 3rd party plug-ins.  I don't have any utilities running in the background.
The read only issue I think is the reason.  I'll check on it and get back to you on what I find.
If this is the cause, then would this be a bug with ID?  Why would a file I created on an accessible drive on my desktop or server open up as a "Read Only"?

  • How to fix issues with cs6

I bought the master collection of CS6 and its been great on my mac OS X Lion but recently I had to download the new OS X Yosemite and ever since then I've been having issues with my programs. I use Photoshop CS6 the most and now its been so hard to even work because hot key commands don't work half the time and other little things have made working on the program almost impossible. I don't know if I need to re-download the programs or what.

Did you install the WhiteWindowWorkaround plugin to work around several known MacOS issues?

  • CUDA Issues with CS6 Mac

    All,
I'm currently having a really big problem with my Mercury Playback Engine and CUDA support.
    I'm running 10.6.8 with a GTX285 graphics card.
After a long time getting the card to initially start working with CS6, I came across the current problem. I have to switch CUDA drivers every day. Basically, if the computer is restarted, I have to load the CUDA drivers from NVIDIA back onto the machine.
I've been flip flopping between 4.1.29 and the most current version. I can't seem to find anyone having this problem and the computer is starting to have performance/rendering problems after a week of doing this trick.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Ryan

This sounds like a problem within OSX rather than Premiere Pro.  It's hard to know what the problem is without more information, which I guess you don't really have.
When you go to System Preferences and click on the CUDA button (usually bottom row) what driver version and GPU driver versions does it say?
Have you tried completely uninstaling the drivers from your system and installing them from scratch?
We're runing with a GTX285 and not seeing these problems, so it almost has to be a system configuration problem.

  • Cache issue with CS6 Bridge

I'm getting an annoying issue when I open Bridge in CS6. I am informed that there is a problem with the cache and that I have to go to preferences, purge the cache. I've done this, but get same error message every time I open Bridge subsequent times. It is really slowing down my workflow. Am using latest version. Any ideas please?
    Many thanks
    Baxter

    2. Reset preferences, reset the default workspace, and purge the cache.
Damaged preferences or workspaces can cause unexpected behavior in Adobe Bridge. Purging the cache can fix display issues for thumbnail previews.
Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears.
Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.
You can also purge the cache by doing the following:
Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Bridge > Preferences (Mac OS).
    Select the Cache panel.
    Click Purge Cache.
Or, you can manually purge the cache by doing the following:
Choose Edit > Preferences (Windows) or Bridge > Preferences (Mac OS).
    Select the Cache panel.
Look at Location and note the path for the Cache folder.
In the Explorer (Windows) or Finder, navigate to the Cache folder.
Drag the Cache folder to the Recycling Bin (Windows) or Trash (Mac OS).

  • Issues with CS6. Signing in, Rendering, Disk Cache, No response from Bug Report.

    Hi,
I submitted these issues some time ago to ae bugs <[email protected]> and did not hear back. I am a long time AE user and usually have a good Adobe experience, but CS6 does not work smoothly for me, and I have not found much help with my issues including emailing support and posting to the site. I find the current website not very effective for tech support.
    - Every time I open CS6 it asks me if I want to continue the Trial and I have to go through the steps to sign in. This is frustrating since I have paid for Creative Cloud and this slows me down.
    - In several projects I have had to turn off "Enable Disk Caching" or it renders text in the upper left corner, no matter where it is actually placed.
    - General slowness, especially using Trapcode Form 2.0. In those cases the playback head in the timeline will not update for many seconds. Also, dragging keyframes around gets very exaggerated. If I drag a keyframe a few frames it will move way off the timeline.
    - 3D text layer render times are so long as to be unusable. (I realize this could be related to my system, but still very disappointing for a Quad Core machine).
(I have an Nvidia GTE 120 graphics card. 2.93 Quad Core, AE CS 11.0.1.12, OS 10.6.8)
    Any help/suggestions appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Paul

The rest - yeah, CS6 sucks. We've heard all of it before and there are endless threads on the raytracing stuff as well as the flakey fast previews and cache.

  • Help! Outline path issue with CS6 & CC...

So downloaded CC on the Macbook Pro Retina, running Mavericks & noticed inaccurate paths generated when using a width profile - see my previous post. Decided to install my version of CS5 by remote disk. This worked, but is so pixellated it is barely usable. Rememeberd that Adobe had offered free CS6. Downloaded & installed this, but found it has the same issue as CC.
Please can someone tell me if I have to change a setting or something, because the test below shows that the way CS6 & CC are currently working is just not acceptible. If this is just the way it is I will have to cancel my subscription as this shows that Adobe have had two releases to sort this out, & just stick with CS5 that I
    can actually rely on.

Ah, so it is not just me as everything I have read has just mentioned the align to pixel like your first reply. The problem is that if you simplify a circle, even if it is very similar it is still no longer a circle. Also, this another step so the new software is potentially taking longer to do the same task.
The software should also be getting more accurate not less. I admit these are zoomed in at a very high level, see below, but it is clear that the simpler result achieved by CS5 with less points does produce a better, more accurate curve. I can imagine these would be quite noticeable if you create a logo & it is blown up to a large scale on the outside of a building or at a conference.
From what I have been reading CS6/ CC are the most bug ridden releases to date. I have only just started using CC as the new laptop only arrived this week, but already I have noticed that the menus on Acrobat are pixellated. How did they not notice that??

  • PAL D1 preset DV Output issue with CS6

    Hello all,
I'm using PPro CS6 and a PAL DV25 D1 preset sequence. When I try to output to a DV device (either Print to tape or directly from the timeline) whole video plays with reverse fields (assets captured with the same preset from a DV device).
All settings were same as with CS5. When i choose to reverse field dominance (upper field) the video plays ok, but this is not normal.
Anyone had the same issue? Any workarounds?

Yeah. I've test CS6 and have the same bugs. Video looks like reverse fields and blurry (like your beach-video, and like in this post http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1019730 ). But after exporting to DV-AVI PAL file and autoring vs Encore CS6 quality is good: correct fields order and cristal clarity (controlled vs CS2). Updating of Premiere to 6.0.2 not correcting these troubles. This bug affects only to preview and export to DV-device through IEEE-1394 (Firewire) and making unable control of video quality on CRT TV-set/monitor and exporting of video to DV-tape. In the Program monitor there is allright and Cuda working good.  And not depending wherewith video was capchured: Premiere Pro CS2 on XP or CS6 on W7.
Tested on harware: Phenom II x4 955, 8GB RAM, GTX560 (but vs Mercury Playback - Software only, switching on of Cuda make more troubles to monitor), video camera Panasonic NV-GS500; System - Windows 7 Pro x64 SP1.

  • Installation issue with CS6 Design and Web Premium

I purchased CS6 Design and Web Premium for school with a voucher from JourneyEd. I have downloaded (it took 13 hours not 1.5)and assume that it completed since I saw the files extracting in the download assistant. I always download to my desktop and install from there. I have two folders, CS6 Master Collection which is empty and CS6 Design and Web Premium which has three subfolders; Adobe CS6, Design and Web Premium and fonts. The first two have set-up file applications within them. There is no .exe file so I have run the set-up applications within these file folders. An installer appears and runs onscreen but nothing is installed. There are no error messages. I purchased this computer in June and it has more than enough space. I am using Windows 7. I really need this for school.

If the current installation files you have downloaded are not working then please try downloading the trial of Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=designweb_premium.  You can then enter the serial number for your purchase during the installation process.
