Plus sign appears when not typed

When I use the shift to type a capital letter, my keyboard/computer adds a plus sign which will 'run' across the page if I don't hit another key to stop it. It also happens when I type some number and symbols. Help! How do I stop this from happening? I have cleaned my keyboard.

Any spills on the Keyboard lately?
Could the KB be warping, possibly due to the Battery?
Is it extra hot where you are?

Is the plus sign really not available on your keyboard at the place indicated on this graphic (to the right of the L key)? You might need to use shift or alt/option or shift+alt/option.

Plus "+" signs appear in subject when using "Mail Link to This Page" error

When I choose File > Mail Link to This Page in Safari for Windows (all recent/current versions), Safari opens a new Outlook email message window with a link to the web page I want to send in the content area of the message as it should, however the subject line contains plus sign "+" symbols between every word in the web page's title, as shown here:
Subject: Apple-+Support+-+Discussions+-+Post+Message:+NewTopic
Any tips on how to make those distracting plus signs go away?

Yeah, I've posted the same inquiry. I'm surprised we haven't heard anything back yet regarding this annoying issue w/ the "+" symbols showing up in the Subject line every time we mail a link.
Hopefully we'll get some type of assistance soon.

That's unusual. Maybe the Mac just doesn't let you use @ symbol when setting up a Mac. Do a detailed Google Search and see if you can find any answers

Prohibitive sign appears when booting Lion from USB flash and DVD

I created both a bootable DVD and a USB drive from the Lion download. However I just tried booting my macbook from the DVD and got the "prohibitive sign - ie the circle with a line through it" it was the same when trying the USB flash drive as well. any idea's gratefully appreciated ! BTW my Macbook is a intel dual core.
I'm currently installing Lion on my Macbook pro from the downloaded image OK so don't think the image is damaged.

when you say your MBP is dual core, do you mean core 2duo or core duo?

"reset screen" appears when not resetting

sometimes, when i turn on my iPod nano, i see the apple logo as u would if u resetted ur iPod

This is just because your iPod is exiting Hibernation or Deep Sleep mode.
This occurs after you've left your iPod asleep for more 14 hours or more; nothing is wrong with the iPod, as it naturally does this.

IPhone iOS 7 music appears when not selected

iPhone 4 and upgraded to iOS 7
In Music are tracks I have not selected.
I disabled sync any music and in iPhone settings disabled "Show Alll Music"
BUY I still have 54 tracks on my iPhone.
What is going wrong?

I had the same problem this morning, following a cleaning of my Mac wired keyboard (I unplugged it to clean it and then reconnected to my MacBook Pro). After looking at System Prefs and finding nothing, I simply disconnected the keyboard USB and reconnected. No more + sign! Hope it helps you or someone else!

IPhone 5 (v7.1.2) Calendar Doesn't have 'plus' sign

Hello! I am using the iPhone 5, version 7.1.2 (there is an update available, but I have read that it is hurting a lot of phones, so I am skipping it thus far). Regardless of that, I am unable to create events on my Calendar. The reason being that the simple step of tapping the 'plus' sign is not an option. The symbol is there, but it is grayed out no matter what I do. I don't prefer to sync with my iCloud or any other source, but I even attempted that, and the 'plus' sign is still not an option. I truly prefer to just add events on my phone. I only got the iPhone 5 recently, and this is the first time I am attempting to create an event, so I don't know if any software upgrade caused this malfunction.

Plus sign instead of data in form

I have begun using the Form feature in Adobe 8.0. I have made my forms using the Livecycle designer. I have received back completed forms via email and then I have entered the data in the actual form itself by hitting "import data." When doing so I've noticed that there are some responses that show a little bit of the answer but then there is this plus sign (+) and when I click on it, it allows me to see the rest of the response(by scrolling over).
My problem is when I print off the form, it still has this plus sign on there and it doesn't show the complete answer. The only way to see the entire response is if you scroll over on the form on the computer. I was wondering how you get it to show the entire response and get rid of the plus sign???
Any help would be appreciated.

Can you provide some XML data and your code for the form fields? It would be easier to help if you provide the information.

Could be a third party app preventing you from being able to login.

If it's not a third party issue, follow the instructions here.
Quit the MAS if it's open.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left then open the Library folder then the Caches folder.
Move the com.apple.appstore and the com.apple.storeagent files from the Caches folder to the Trash
From the same Library folder open the Preferences folder.
Move these files Preferences folder to the Trash: com.apple.appstore.plist and com.apple.storeagent.plist
Same Library folder open the Cookies folder. Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the MAS.

HT1363 after pressing Menu and Select, when the Apple sign appears, I immediately press select and play/pause, but again the red X sign appears. so it does not go to Disk Mode. Has anyone had this issue? I would be grateful if you could tell me what to do

The red X has appeared in my Ipod Classic Screen. Apple support tells me that I need to first put it manually on disk mode. to put it on disk mode I ought to press menu and select buton togeher, when the apple sign shows up, hold select button and play together.

Thank you everyone for the replies. It defiantly helped point me in the right direction. With any luck, I will have my replacement phone sometime tomorrow.
I was able to call the iPhone support line this morning. The Apple rep stayed on the line with me for about an hour until he was sure the new phone would ship out. For $199 plus $29 for expedited handling I was able to get the replacement ordered with overnight shipping. Since the replacement doesn’t involve ATT&T I have no reason to suspect any further delays. Kudos to the Apple rep that helped me straighten out this mess.
It’s a shame that AT&T cares so little for their existing customers. Not only did they try to sell me the same phone for $499, they outright refused to help me. They also lied to me on numerous occasions and strung me along for close to three weeks for something that only took an hour to complete with the Apple rep.
I filed a formal complaint against AT&T through the Better Business Burrow as well as requested a review of our cooperate contract with AT&T. Our company currently has over 3000 phones with AT&T and there contract comes up for bid the end of our fiscal year (this October). We will be giving it heavy consideration before we consider renewing their contract.
I doubt that any of that will matter to a company that cares so little about their customers, but you never know.
