Plz don't repeat same queries on certification

Hi all,
I have seen lots people asking lots of queries regarding certifications. Please don't put repeated queries reg certifications in this site. Don't waste precious time.

No one will read this. Most people who post questions about certifications doesn't even read the threads that they post it. It's common that they post in an old related thread that has been answered and yet they don't read it.

  • Repeating same import statement in different source files

If we have to repeat same bunch of import statements in all the java classes do we have an alternative rather than declaring the same import statements in all the java classes.

Then don't you think its waste to repeate the same line in every class. Even if we have to chance one statement we have do it in all the classes say for example today I am using an object from "abc.ab.c" and tomorrow some one changes the package to "abc.ba.c" then we have to update the same in all of the classes where ever we use "abc.ab.c" earlier. Not especially. IDEs do the heavy lifting, and what would you think could be an alternative? Global implicit imports, configured on the compiler? Don't like that idea. Explicitly declaring exactly what imports each class has is a very good indicator of certain code smells, like god classes and the like. If I have to hunt around for what classes a particular piece of source is using, that's an extra hoop I'd rather not jump through
If you're finding it a bind to have to re-import huge amounts of classes into loads of other classes, that in itself is a good indicator you've got design problems

OK.  If it's older than 6th gen, it has a click wheel (not a touch screen), correct?  The older design works differently for the Repeat setting.  From the main screen on the iPod, select Settings.  On the Settings screen, find Repeat.  It is probably set to One right now.  Select it until it says either Off or All.

  • IPOD KEEPS REPEATING SAME SONG

ipod 16GB keeps repeating same song

While playing any song on your iPod, tap the artwork to bring up the scrubber bar and additional controls. On the left hand side is a option for repeat. You want to make sure this icon is white (meaning it is set to Off). If it isn't tap it either one or two times to change its current setting.
    Any luck there?

  • TS3474 keeps repeating same song automatically

My nano keeps repeating same song automatically- I can manually change to the next song.

It sounds like the repeat setting has been enabled. See page 21 of your iPod's User Guide for instructions on turning it off.

  • Problems during import BW structure - Don't view the queries

    Hello!
I have a problem when import the structure of BW 7.0 with xmla file in OBIEE+. The version of OBIEE is 10.1.3.4.
When I do the importation, I don't see the queries created on BW, only the infocubes. But the queries is associate to infocube.
    Can help me?
    Thks,
    Flavia

    I solved this problem.
In the BEx Query Designer (BW 7), opened the query and click on "Query Properties" and then, "Extended" option. There is a checked box called “Allow External Access to this query” that must be checked. At the end, save the query in BEx and import the XMLA on OBIEE+. The queries is loaded.

  • My new nano keeps repeating same song...how do I get it to go to next on list or at least duffle?

My new nano keeps repeating same song...how do I get it to go to next on list or at least duffle?

I have an iPod Nano 7th generation and I know of a couple of ways to shuffle the playlists.  When you select the Playlist, from Home>Music>Playlists, there is a shuffle feature at the top of the screen that will shuffle that individual playlist.  Also, if you tap the screen quickly while the one song is repeating, a menu will come up with the ability to select repeat, which is the icon on the left.  I'm guessing if you were to tap the repeat button it would turn the repeat feature off.  Another way to shuffle is to shake the Nano while the screen is lighted, and a song is playing.  This shaking will shuffle ALL playlists.  Of course you need to have the shuffle feature activated which you can do from Home>Settings>Music and making sure the "Shake to shuffle feature" is ON.

  • Avoid repeating same logic in 'select' and 'where' clauses?

I'll preface by saying I'm self-taught and have only been fiddling with SQL for a couple of months, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I have a query written to pull out customers who are configured to have their products stored at the wrong warehouse, according to the first 3 digits of the zip code. Here is an extremely simplified version of a query I'm trying to run:
select custno, custbuy_zip_cd, custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd as Warehouse,
    case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
    when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
    end as StdWhse
    from customers
where case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
    when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
    end <> custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd
or (case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
    when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
end is not null and custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd is null)
Now, the query works, but it seems overly convoluted and feels like there must be a way to make it simpler and faster. I'm using the same 'case when' 3 times. Originally, I had thought I could use the aliases from the 'select' clause in the 'where' clause, which would simplify things:
    select custno, custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd as Warehouse,
    case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
    when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
    end as StdWhse
    from customers
    where StdWhse <> custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd
or (StdWhse is not null and custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd is null)
I then found out that that caused 'invalid identifier' errors. My first attempt at a solution was to use a subquery in the 'from' clause, but that ran the 'case when' on every single customer instead of the small subset, so it wound up taking much longer even though it looked neater. Any tips on how to clean up that first query to make it run faster?
this is Oracle 11i, I believe. As a side note, I don't have write access to the database.

Thanks for all the tips so far - still going through them. You all respond fast! Sorry about using double angle brackets for != and not using code tags, I'll make sure to format my posts properly going forward. I think the double angle brackets messed up the appearance of my original queries a little. Here's how I probably should have pasted my first query in my first post:
select custno, custbuy_zip_cd, custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd as Warehouse,
        case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
            when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
        end as StdWhse
    from customers
where case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
            when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
        end != custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd
or (case when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('839','848') then '20'
            when substr(custbuy_zip_cd,1,3) in ('590','591') then '33'
end is not null and custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd is null)The almost unanimous opinion seems to be that I should use a subquery in one way or another, but the problem remains that the only significant logic to narrow down the results is the logic that matches the 'case when' results (which are what the warehouse number should be, based on the zip code) to the current warehouse number. Therefore, it seems like any subquery is going to return my entire list of 600k customers, and take a much longer time than my original (messy) query. At least it has in the test runs I created based on
Satyaki's and Peter's examples. The query based on my original example takes about 2.5 minutes, and the subquery examples take about 5+ even though they look cleaner.
to clarify what the query is trying to accomplish, I want it to pull any records where the warehouse number does not equal the correct warehouse number based on zip code (or if the warehouse number is null when it shouldn't be).
I'll try to create some sample data and sample results. Customers table:
    custno   custbuy_zip_cd  custbuy_prim_ship_loc_cd
    1        59024           20
    2        59024           33desired results:
    custno   custbuy_zip_cd   warehouse   StdWhse
1        59024            20          33If I could create a table to hold the standard warehouses to join on, the whole thing would be much easier. The full version of the query really has hundreds of zip code prefixes and 5 different warehouses and each account has 4 alternate warehouses as well. However, I'm stuck with read only access so everything has to go right in the query. It wouldn't be the end of the world to just stick with my original query since it's not like it takes hours, and I'll only be running it weekly. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some other solution that wasn't just cleaner but was also faster.

  • Data Model repeating same value?

What I am trying to do is change the caption of a button to a value in my Data Connection (sample XML Data).  So I am using the Data Model from the DOM to change the caption and I am getting a value which is good to see.  The problem is its the same first value over and over as my subform repeats instead of moving to the value of the next record.  I don't believe its because of the event I'm running it under since I've changed that multiple times without any "new" results.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what I am doing wrong?

We did it. We chose another naming convention and only set up XI and MDM.
I would do only DEV and QA.Then it depends on your goal. the only thing, Dont map the users credentials  to your other SAP BI structure.
In a perfect world, i would have doubled the logical database instance but i m not sure about your objectives.

  • Repeating same song one after another from same album.

    Hey there,
I'm using my iPhone as a playlist for a Cinema I work in, on the iPhone it has some advertisements, but I want it so that it doesn't repeat another advert if it's just played one.
    How can I do this?
    Kind Regards

I had a feeling it might have to do with rebuilding the library, so I did a search on that and came up with this link for iPhoto 08, which also works for this current version. Apparently it's not uncommon to corrupt the library when updating iPhoto (doesn't happen with my other programs, though, so maybe iPhoto people need to improve the system better.)
    http://www.simplehelp.net/2008/06/20/how-to-rebuild-a-corrupt-iphoto-08-database /
After rebuilding it, I actually did have the same dialog box come up twice, deleting two more albums, but that was it, leaving 30 plus albums intact. So in the end, I don't know what exactly the problem was, nor whether what I did solved it. However, if anybody is interested, the rebuild dialog box opens if you hold the "option" and "command" keys down while opening iPhoto. I checked off each box there and rebuilt.

  • Doesn't seem to be including all songs in shuffle. Repeats same songs

When in shuffle mode, doesn't seem to include all songs in the shuffle.  It repeats the same songs.

Well, seems to me that if the computer is reading other CDs, the lens should not be a problem? If you really think it would help though, I suppose I'll try it.
Since I posted I've tried leveling the computer because I thought that might be an issue, but I think I can rule that out.
Could it be that I need to download some sort of driver update? I don't know when I purchased those Memorex CD-Rs that I'd been using and that worked, but the ones I just bought look a little different, so maybe they are also more advanced in some way?
Maybe 3 or 4 discs that I put in (out of maybe 50) actually did show up on the desktop and when I tried to burn them, started burning as normal. But then about 20 seconds into it, it said something about it not being able to burn.
I have also run Disk First Aid, which told me that there is an invalid PEOF. Could this be creating the problem?
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light...

  • Random mode repeats same songs in previous sequence

My new 1GB shuffle doesn't seem to truly play back songs in random order. Whenever I select random mode, I hear the same songs I played previously--in the exact same order I heard them in before! Here's the sequence of events:
    1. I load the shuffle from my iTunes library.
    2. I listen to maybe 20 songs in random mode, then turn off the shuffle.
    3. The next time I turn on the shuffle in random mode, the same 20 songs I heard previously play back in the same order they were originally played. I have to skip through all of them to get to new material.
    4. I lsiten to maybe 20 more songs, then shut it off.
    5. The next time I listen, the same songs form both occasions play back in the precise order they were previously played in. Again I have to skip ahead manually.
    6. Stages 3 through 5 repeat each time I listen to more music.
I don't know if this is happening because of a fault in the firmware, or if it's a problem with the shuffle's flash memory system. Either way, the shuffle won't reset altogether when I enter random mode; it retains the songs it played before, and in the order played. Perhaps another firmware rev is needed to fix the problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this with their shuffle?

I found an article that says we're both kinda right (the bold is my formatting):
"The iPod shuffle includes a handy shortcut for going back to the beginning of its playlist: just press Play/Pause three times and the shuffle will start playing at the beginning of the first song. (You don't even have to say, "There's no place like home.")
If the iPod is in shuffle mode, it will reorder the playlist before starting over. You can use this trick to quickly get to songs at the end of the playlist, too. Just triple-click to go to the start, then press Previous to wrap around and get to the last song. While other iPods let you choose whether they start over or stop when finishing a playlist, the iPod shuffle always starts over, for the sake of simplicity, which makes this tip work. (It also works on other iPods if you turn on Repeat All in the settings. But other iPods have screens, which makes them somewhat easier to navigate.)"
It's actually a pretty informative article.
