PlZ HELP: How can i format a Macbook without the originals cds and results

I have a macbook since a couple of years running 10.5.8 OSX. the last months the system is getting a bit slower and since i bought a midi controller which is arriving today i am thinking of making a format. But i havent the original cds. So here are some questions for u mates and plz consider me as a total amateur.
1. Will a format make the performance of my macbook back to its original state when i bought it, like it is done with a pc format?
2. I have ordered this: Mac OS X Snow Leopard International 10.6.3 (upgarde from Leopard). will i be able to do a format with that or i have to oder the original cds (i understand that i will loose iLIfe)
3. I have some programs installed in my macbook and i have some bookmarks i really work with them. so i am thinking of using time mashine before and after format. Should i do that or if i do that then the format thing has no point at cause the macbook will be slow like it is now??

Call Apple, givre them your serial number and they will send you the original install disks only charging for shipping & handling. You should always have those.
1. A re-format will make your Mac volume blank, after re-installing it would be back to original defaults, but it is usually unnecessary, unless you are experiencing insurmountable problems.
2. Yes, you will be able to format & install. But like I said, you're better off just upgrading.
3. You should always have a backup either TM or SuperDuper or CarbonCopy Cloner. The value of these cloning apps, is that you can boot from them in case you get into trouble on your main drive.
Before you install run Disk Utility > Verify Disk. If you find errors repair until no errors are found.
SuperDuper or CarbonCopy Cloner.

I have had arm and hand injuries i.e. rsi/repetitive strain injuries for the past 3 1/2 years and coordination problems all my life. I have pain after doing too much with my right hand, I have trouble doing anything with my left hand, and I have worse trouble doing anything which requires both hands at once or alternately. I have trouble using touchpads and touchscreens, but the ones on the Mac work all right, as long as I don't enable tapping or complex gestures. I use an external vertical mouse. I don't have trouble with clicking, though I do have trouble with getting to the right spot with small buttons and narrow scrollbars.
I tried dictation to help with writing, but it requires a lot of editing. I don't know whether I should just try to get the hang of dictation or just ignore it. I don't know of anything similar to help with organizing files.
I imported files from an older Mac and an older Linux machine last spring. I had a lot of trouble with the imports, and ended up with a lot of duplicates. I used DupeGuru to clean some out, but DupeGuru itself requires a lot of painful careful selection, and sorting and reorganizing folders requires a lot of painful work.
I made the mistake of trying to import my pictures folder into iPhoto too, I am not sure how to fix that.

Select the file, then hit the <return> key. After you have made your changes, hit the <return> key again.

Can i reboot my macbook without the startup disk and then upgrade to snow leopard

I am using OS X 10.5.8 which i believe is leapard and i am looking to wipe my hard drive and start from fresh with snow leapord or even straight to mountain lion (if thats possible without going through all the upgrades such as snow leapord, lion, etc).
I dont trust the Apple Time Capsule based on the reviews so i could also use advise on an alternative to store my data (about 50 GB) in the intermin of the "wipedate".

Unless you install Mac OS X 10.6 onto a different partition, doing a clean install will erase iLife. You won't be able to reinstall it from a retail package unless otherwise noted.

If a friend of mine has Mac OS X version 10.4.9 and Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) will that solve my issue?

First, I'd advise you to make a backup. Time Machine is fine, but I recommend making a bootable backup with Carbon Copy Cloner if possible.
Then, insert the Snow Leopard DVD (it's a retail version, right? Not a grey disk meant for another machine?) and run the installer on the disk. Should be automatic from that point in. You don't need to reformat your drive.

How can I format a field in the form creator? It's putting the same text in all the fields within a table. I want each field within the table to have different text. As soon as you click out of the table, all the text is the same.
I even changed the fields from a text box to a drop-down list so a person can make their selection, which will be a quantity from 0-9. There are two of these such fields. You make your selection in each, click off the table and both fields show whatever I selected in field 1. The original Qty I selected in the bottom field was a 5 but it changed it to whatever is in the top field on it's own. I've added a screen shot.

This behaviors usually happens when you create the fields but a copy paste command from one of the fields. The copy paste command assumes that your intentions is to maintain a copy of the field in two separate locations (e.i, a form field "company name" printed in each and every page of a multi-page form document.
Go to the properties fields of each field and make sure to assign unique form field names.

You need to partion the hard drive using Disk Utility. On one partition install 10.4. On the other 10.6. As a note I trust you are doing this on a MBP and not a PPC Mac because 10.6 won't install.

If the machine is asleep, lid closed, and you plug in to an external monitor and an external USB keyboard, the machine will wake, anbd reconfigure the screen resolution for the external monitor, Once it has made this configuration change, you can open the lid and it will continue to address only the external monitor. At least that's how my early MacBook Pro unibody 13" works. It seems to run a bit cooler this way. It gets quite toasty with the lid closed while doing anything demanding and you are more likely to hear the fan come on. I have not seen any temps that would cause alarm, but I do get a high speed (6000 rpm), noisy fan sometimes with the lid closed, .
If you operate in the open-lid, external monitor only mode, if you deactivate the monitor for any reason, when it reactivates it will be running both screens, with all the navigation hassles this entails, so I generally set it not to deactivate the screen when in this mode.
Thus I agree with those who say that some of the cooling air is drawn in around the keyboard, the difference in cooling performance is observable. If you activate istat pro, get the computer hot running in clamshell mode, and open the lid, you can watch the CPU temp drop by a few degrees C within a couple minutes. It isn't a huge difference, but enough the lower the fan speeds.

Sorry, you can't. If your phone is carrier locked, you will need a sim card from that carrier, to activate it.

How can I use Office Update without the Office CD? On the microsoft website I've clicked the options which mean I shouldn't need the CD (which wasn't supplied with the laptop), but poartway through updating the service pack I get a request for the Office 2000 Professional CD.

Did you mean a Office or One Note?
As far as I know the One Note is a part of the Recovering Image and the CD is not delivered with the unit. Furthermore the Toshiba units are not delivered with the Office 2000 software.
Nevertheless, did you check the update function in the Help i.e. in Word?

I think your only solution is to zip the image files first and then attach them.

There is no other way. Without the correct credentials you won't be able to use it.
Activation Lock cannot be bypassed, Apple will not help unless you have the original receipt (but not from some 3rd party)

If you are just visiting Singapore, then leave the account as it is. If you have moved there, then view your account using the iTunes app on a Mac or PC and change the country/region to your current location and address. If you do not have a bank card, you can fund your account using iTunes gift cards if available in Singapore.

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year. It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you.
