Plz help, i cannot import cd using itunes 10.3.1(55)

the issue is when i put the cd in the drive, open itunes than itunes start to read the disc, sometime it could be read, but sometimes it just eject the cd, i dont know what exactly the problem was on my macbook pro (13" mid 2010).
even sometimes it could read the disc, but when i start import the cd, it eject the cd.

Actually it's a good question ... I have not done it before manually. If the folder exists does it mean that I have done it before?
The folder is completely empty. I reconfirmed that I have full-control persmissions on all folders below my username ...
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ [Vista machine]
I have restricted access to the C:\User folder

My example given before should work on different machines, try to export the server key and import it into the
client keystore. Export the client key and import in the server keystore if you want the server to authenticate
the client.

Check the method getSSLSocketFactory in the applet, that will open a keystore for you.

I imported cds using iTunes, but...

I imported all of my cds using iTunes, but when I try to get track names I get an error message saying that iTunes cannot get track names because the songs were not imported using iTunes. It then tells me that I need to import using iTunes. I have too many cds in there to do it all over again. What I have done wrong?

Not sure you can do anything about this. I get vaiable import speeds - a lot depends on the actual disc. The Read Write spec is 24X but I rarely see speeds close to this.

Cannot Import MP3s into iTunes 9

I have a server in my house where I keep all my music. (WHS since Apple doesn't currently offer anything of this nature.) I tried to drag a standard MP3 file from my server over Samba to iTunes 9 and it just fails silently. iTunes doesn't freeze or anything. It just doesn't addd the song. We have two identical MacBooks that are both exhibiting the same problem.
The song doesn't import after...
- restarting iTunes.
- restarting the computer.
- updating to OS 10.6.1.
- dragging it to my local computer, then dragging it to iTunes.
- altering permissions on the file to 777.
- using the File | Add to Library method to import.
The song plays just fine in Quicktime.
The song played fine in iTunes 8 and imported fine in iTunes 8.
Any clue what is going on here or how to get information about the problem out of iTunes?

You will not get a reason out of iTunes, since it is designed to "error silently" when you try to add a file that it finds incompatible.
If the MP3s play fine in other players but not in iTunes, then you have met the problem of iTunes being strict/finicky/incompetent (pick your own interpretation) about slight variations in MP3 formats. The problem can usually be corrected by treating the files with a 3rd party tag clean-up program such as MP3 Validator.

Help for a beginner please -using iTunes

Using iTunes for the first time, I buy and download an item. It`s a piece of music that lasts 55 mins.OK.The stuff comes down the line, and I can make it play on my scratchy screen-speakers.
I then try to copy it to a DVD with my DVD writer. I`m warned it may take up to an hour. No indication of progress is given. After a few minutes there`s a xylophone-bong. Maybe it means the process failed. Maybe succeeded. I don`t know. No indication of either.The disc won`t play so I suppose I failed.
A make a second try, on to a CD. This time no Burn - button appears on the screen, so I`m stuck straight away. Is Apple stopping me making a second copy, so I have to spend another ten quid downloading the thing again ? A pretty severe penalty for a mistake !
Can anyone put me right, and maybe direct me to an elementary tutorial ?

Making a DVD only creates a backup copy of a track. It does not create a disk that can be played in any other player. If you want to create a disk that can be played in other players, you need to burn an audio CD, so check your iTunes -> Advanced -> Burning preference and make sure it's set to Audio CD. Then you need to put the track into a playlist. It can be the only track in the playlist, but it must be in a playlist before it will burn.

I cannot seem to create a playlist. I am using ITunes windows version and I IPhone 6 plus. When I connect and sync. Using ITunes I select File-New-playlist is greyed out it will not let me create a playlist on my IPhone.

Ok, Done by creating separate playlist
for each different folders. Only disadvantage is iPOD don't continue to the next playlist automatically, need to select next playlist manually. Wondering why is this so?

Can't edit folder info after importing & editing using iTunes... Help.

I've notice that when editing CD info after importing into iTunes that sometimes folder names in my music library, under itunes media/music, does not match the info that I've just edited in iTunes. When attempting to edit the folder's name I have to add the folder into iTunes again, to locate music files after edit change (?), only to have the edited folder name switch back to the previous name. Is there something that needs to be disabled. I've looked all over but can't seem to find help for this particular situation.

iTunes can't or won't use certain characters in file & folder names and uses a maximum of 40 characters for the file or folder name, inclusive of any extention such as ".mp3" (=4 chars). If you manually rename anything iTunes will lose track of it. The best advice is simply to leave iTunes to it. Once you've thrown the data into it, iTunes will get it back for you when you ask, so why does it matter how iTunes chooses to organize it? Saldy, I can't follow my own advice and choose to keep my library organized manually. These days I use some custom scripts to move things around and update iTunes in one process, but in the past I would tidy up my tags, amend the file & folder names, then remove the album from iTunes & reimport.

Please help me. I cannot import videos into itunes library

I have read the manual's entries on doing this and nothing seems to be working. It won't let me import my own videos into the itunes library for me to convert to a file recognized by ipod. I have a 5th generation ipod. I am doing everything it tells me to do and still nothing. I have called technical support and they won't help me because I didn't purchase the videos through itunes. I have tried to click and drag the file and it won't let me do it even though the manual says that's what to do. when I look into the movies tab it is blank. When I put a dvd in my drive to copy to itunes library it doesn't even show up. I am going crazy and am about to return this if I can't get this figured out.

When I try to import a CD to iTunes, it says Windows will try to diagnose problem. It is followed by "iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Good catch, Pnarbs.
The version which has the trouble with importing using the AAC encoding is 10.1.0.54, and the version which fixes the issue is 10.1.0.56. If you already have 10.1.0.54 installed, 10.1.0.56 doesn't appear for you in Apple Software Update, so you need to go to the Apple Website to get the 10.1.0.56 installer, as per the following document:
