Plz help me... not able to enjoy my ichat!!!!

hi guys,
Well in my college I am using the internet via a proxy server... when i was at my home where i was using a direct connection i was able to login to my jabber account via ichat... but now in my college i cant.. even all the other net applications are working fine.. for the time being i use adium.. which connects very fast.. i think is there any option in ichat to configure it for the use with proxy server like the one in safari... if yes kindly let me know.. and if not then plz tell me how to connect ichat with the proxy server....
thanks in advance for ur help!!!1

Not in the Jabber ones there is not.
Most Jabber servers use port 5222 to login.
GoogleTalk uses port 5223 - Although I have mine using port 443 and it is working.
Try setting the GoogleTalk port to 443.

  • Please help! Not able to set Video input Port(S-Video or Composite)on Linux

    Hi
    I am using JMF2.1.1e(Linux performance pack) for video capturing on Linux OS. I want to set video input port(S-Video or composite) through my application. I am using the following code:
         if ( dataSource != null )
              arrControls = dataSource.getControls ();
         if ( arrControls != null )
              nCount = arrControls.length;
         System.out.println("No. of Controls: " + nCount);
         for ( i = 0; i < nCount; i++ )
              if ( arrControls[i] == null )
                   continue;
              if ( !(arrControls[i] instanceof Control) )
                   continue;
              componentControl = ((Control)arrControls).getControlComponent ();
              System.out.println("ComponentControl : " + componentControl);
              if ( componentControl == null )
                   continue;
    But, i am getting No. of Controls: 0 (Zero). So i am not able to get any control component also. Rest of the application is working fine. Please help me solving this problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    To go a stage further.
    Google run a Jabber server for their service.
    Jabber apps (those that can) use a Protocol called Jingle to make the A/V connections.
    Google's version is not even that compatible with other Jabber apps. (See Here)
    The Plug-in in the Google Install (Or the Standalone Web Browser Plug-in allow Browsers to access the GoogleTalk A/V side as does the Standalone PC app called GoogleTalk as well.
    iChat uses a process called SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) to connect to other iChat Users or to the AIM for PC app.
    However this also works in any iChat to iChat Connection no matter if the Buddy List is an AIM Login based one, Jabber (including GoogleTalk) or A LAN based Bonjour Chat.
    In you care this is not going to work.
    Getting the Standalone (Intel only) Browser Plug-in and using the Chat option in the Google Mail Web page is probably the easiest option.

  • Please Help - WRT54GS "not able to connect to internet"

    I just purchased a WRT54GS Wireless Router, and I follow the instructions by putting the CD in first, and I follow the instruction on the CD, but every time I try and set it up a message comes up and says "The router is not able to connect to the internet." blah blah.  And I've tried resetting the router, turning the DSL modem off and back on, restarting the computer, unplugging and plugging back in over and over, and I still can't get it to work.  Any advice would help.  Thanks.

    1.Make sure you have good internet with your pc direct to the dsl modem
    2. If so, connect the router to the DSL modem and tthen the pc to the router.
    3.then open a web page and enter 192.168.1.1 no user name but the default password is "admin"
    4.You may have to turn on PPoe on the basic set up page and it will also need your sign on and password. put those in.. leave the rest defaults. Save the settings and then try on home icon on your web browser to see if you can get to the internet.

  • 2nd Try: Please Help : UIX : Not able to use messageFileUpload along with m

    UIX : Not able to use messageFileUpload along with messageChoice
    I used messageFileUpload UIX element and associated upload button to fileupload servlet. This servlet just captures the file and put it in desired location. This works just fine.
    My client wanted me to add another choice filed on UI. I used messageChoice. I named the field as fileType. All the options have name and value populated but when I submit the form servlet is reading fileType as NULL.
    I am not sure what's happening. Please let me know how should I send file handle as well fileType ?
    Thanks,
    Linda

    What exactly are you expecting this to do for you?
    Forall is designed to process batches of DML to prevent context switching from PL/SQL to SQL.
    Has no relevance for what you are trying to do.
    If you don't want to call the procedure multiple times, you need to rewrite it to passs the cursor to the function, then have the function process all the records.

  • Update-Help cmdlet not able to update the help with https protocol.

    Hi all,
    I am using powershell 3.0 and trying to implement this updatable feature for our custom powershell module. But I getting the below error:
    PS C:\Users\scorchsvc> update-help -Module <modulename> -Force
    update-help : Failed to update Help for the module(s) 'modulename' : HelpInfoURI

    I am able to get this work if I use "http". Error message clearly says that it only expects http. But in the Microsoft help topic for Update-Help cmdlet, it is mentioned that cmdlet works for both http and https both.
    Here are my enteries:
    •HelpInforURI entry in module manifest file is:
                        HelpInfoURI = "https://10.65.182.141/dev_releases/modulename/onlinehelp"
    •HelpContentURI in HelpInfo.xml file is:

    I am running powershell as an administrator.
    I am not behind any proxy.
    Windows firewall is off.
    I am mentioning it AGAIN that I am ABLE to update help for our custom module if I use http in HelpInfoURI.
    I am also able to access the URI in IE with http/https.
    Can any one please help?
    Thanks,
    Vinay Ravish

    Hi vinay,
    It seems the certificate issue.
    Please access HelpInfoURI =
    https://10.65.182.141/dev_releases/modulename/onlinehelp with https header to see if your computer could access that.
    If it doesn't work, add it to your trusted site and download to see if there is related certification on that website to download and install it to trusted root certificate for test.

  • Urgent Help needed- Not able to schedule reports in BI Publisher

    Hi,
    I have configure the scheduler service on my windows server. Now i am trying to schedule a report from BI pubisher. But it is not working. When i click submit button, It is not doing anything. It seems it adds entry in the job schedule table. Even when i click schedules link, it shows just show progress status on explorer status bar but nothing happens.
    Any help would be on this would be highly appretiated.
    Thanks,
    Prasad

    Hi Prasad,
    Are you still having the problem? Which version of BI Publisher are you running? If you are running an earlier version, then upgrade it to 10.1.3.3.3 and the problem gets solved. We also had the same problem when we were on 10.1.3.3.0 and now it's gone after we upgraded. Hope this helps.

  • Help! Not able to Print TIF files

    I recently pasted 4 photos into a 19x13 canvass. The file was originally a 1.2 GB file, which would not print, so I then reduced the size to approximately 700MB. I go to FILE then select PRINT and nothing happens. Is there a setting I messed up somewhere?
    I am using CS5 Version 12.0.1 64 bit. I have no issue printing any other TIF photos.
    One thing I noticed is that I can not save this particular TIF, (thinking that maybe a JPEG would work),  in any other format except Photoshop/Large Document Format/open EXR/Portable Bit Map/Radiance/TIF, no other options. It was be something terribly simple that I am just baffled with. I am really puzzled and frustrated as I really want to print this new file ASAP.
    Any suggestions and/or help would be greatly appreciated.

    The Adobe Color Engine can't take a 32 bit file as input and spit out a 16 or 8 bit file?  That's a surprise.

  • Plz help, "device not detected" after windows updates?? I have so

    I have An Audigy 2 ZS, and have the latest drivers. It has been working PERFECT, LAST NIGHT I had like 0 WINDOWS UPDATES, i dont' know if any of these had anything to do with this. But, I just now went to the icon in the task bar, and went to change SPEAKER SETTINGS to switch to HEADPHONES as I ALWAYS DO, I was surprised when the "unable to change the sound device to your selected device", you press ok, and it comes up TWO MORE TIMES, Right after each other.
    I DO HAVE SOUND, FOR NOW. I have read other mentioning this error, but I didn't seem to find any answers. I can't go to speaker settings, or Surround Mixer,
    OK, NOW I tried to go to GRAPHICS EQ, and an error came up that said "THE AUDIO DEVICE SUPPORTED BY THIS APPLICATION IS NOT DETECTED, THE APPLICATION WILL EXIT"
    What is going on?
    I went to device manager and it says that the device is working properly, and I DO have sound.
    I DON'T get it. And I'm not likeing this. This is starting to worry me.
    Does ANYONE know what is going on.. PLZ?

    Thanx for the reply. I just now fixed it. I'm not totally sure what I did. Earlier I had uninstalled the device from Device manager, and then restarted, and it installed the drivers from the CD. It didn't fix it. So, I ran the LIVE update here at creative.com and downloaded the version I had before, I guess because when i had ran the update before I uninstalled the device the update wasn't there.
    But, it started to update, and said something it had to restart the pc in order to install the update, and after it installed the new "creative audio console" it now works.
    the whole thing was strange since I dind't lose sound at all. Just couldn't access settings.

    Hopefully this will format alright, but my question is, is that why is it giving me this error... it happens in the create multiples function(the last function in this code block) this is a jlayeredpane which is called by a JApplet. Any ideas on the loading? Its in the getImages() fuction.

    These are the lines it dies on.... the System.out.println(piece.toString()); precisely. I don't know if I am not getting the images from the directory right... or if I need to make sure this is in a JAR file or not.

  • Plz Help:Idoc not getting posted

    In my requirement some of the idocs are not getting posted.The error message is "Balance not zero".Idoc type is "INVOIC01".In my requirement they told to look into the standard sap pgm"SAPLMRMC" in that FM MRM_AMOUNT_COMPARISON.Please give me suggestions to proceed.

    Hi Hema,
    Please check the invoice data that your are trying to send. From the error it seems that the IDoc is failing the data validations that must be placed in the program/FM that is used to generate/post the IDoc.

  • Plz help iphone not working

    well last night i turned my iphone on airplane mode and used a aux jack to listen to music on my speakers, well this morning whenever i try to make a call it goes threw to the other person but my mic and ear speaker go completely dead, if i hit speakerphone they can here me and i them (although quiet but its always been that way).. Please does any have this problem and if so how did they fix it

    Plug your earpiece in again and quickly unplug it. Do that a couple more times and see if that restores proper function of the earpiece and speaker on the iPhone. It's been an issue reported before, and the quick plugging/unplugging of the earpiece has usually resolved it.

  • Not able to view the JPG image added in WebI

    Hi,
    Using 'Background Image' i have added a Jpg image (8 KB) to the report (in a Cell of the Horizontal table) in both Advance Java / Interctive Edit mode.
    When I close the EDIT mode, i'm not able to see the Image. Its coming in PDF export though.  I tried changing Preference in InfoView. But still unable to view the Image in report.
    Version: XI R3.1

    I would appreciate if you could read the post before posting the response.
    Same I will also do, if you could replied to that post. After several posts also no reply from you but now you came with taking/using same approach and asking again.

    About your problem:
    How you added that Image to Hor Table??
    If you did like follows:
    1. Drag HTable
    2. Hide Header part
    3. In column level(LOV) Not Header go to Properties
    4. Background image
    5. here point it.
    Gracias...!!
