i m installing apex 3.0.1 on 10g release1
but i am getting error in last ...can plz tell me how to solve this

As Diavonex explained, you cannot install IE on the iPad because of the different OS and because there is no iOS version of IE available.
I use the iCab Mobile browser and it can identify as desktop IE 6, 7, 8, or 9. It may not have all of the functionality of IE that you are looking for, but IMO it is a superior browser to Safari in many, many ways. Take a look at it in the App Store and read the reviews.

Hi all,
I have Oracle Apps 11.5.9 installed on my machine and linked it with Apex 2.2.1 version.
But when i tried to open it using IE i am getting this error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/apex/apex on this server
Oracle HTTP Server Powered by Apache/1.3.19 Server at home.oralabs1.com Port 8000
Can any one help me in configuring the settings.I have also seen the log file and found the installation successful message.

Installing Apex on 10G db and 10 Oas
Hello to all,
This is my first post in yours apex Forum, I wish to migrate some application from Forms/report 10g in Apex, but I have to ask some question:
My configuration is the following:
10G EE db on linux server
10g Oas on Linux server (different from db machine)
I downloadind last release 3.xxx
Now I want install it, what I have to do? or better
Can I use my OAS and configure only DB to deploy the application developed in Apex or I must install oas standalone from companion CD?
Is it better use embedded Gateway (11G db) or modplsql (previous 11g)? ..and what is more fast to test Apex, install 11g db or keep on 10g db?

You can certainly use your existing OAS server, but I would read through all those documents to get an overview of the different options (and implications etc).

I have installed Oracle 10g(version 10.2.0) Database. Now I am trying to configure Application Express Apex 3.0 to it. I and following the Installation Guide provided to install Apex 3.0 on Oracle 10g. But i am facing the following issues, i am pasting the complete issues which are encountered. What I am suggesting is not the cause of the FLOWS_030000 user existing error, but could be another issue which caused your installation to fail.

You have specified an absolute path when running the apexins.sql script. In order for the installation to succeed, you must first change your working directory to the directory where you unzipped the apex_3.0.zip file and then run the script. This is because the apexins.sql script subsequently references other sql scripts, using relative paths.
You have also not included a password in your command, was this just for purposes of the posting, or could this also be an issue, as in:
@apexins password tablespace_apex tablespace_files tablespace_temp images

Installing APEX 3.1 with HTTPServer 10g (from Companion CD)

Our database is 10.2.0.1 and I installed in a seperate home the HTTPServer coming with the 10gR2 companion CD (Apache Standalone install). The default port I use is 7777 (for the welcome page). Then I installed APEX 3.1, following the directives in the installation guide.
Strangely, when it's time to configure the HTTPServer, the documentation talks only about version 9.0.3 or 11g, not the 10g version. It does mention OAS 10g, but is it the same than HTTPServer 10g standalone?
Because of this confusion, I'm unsure if we need to create a "marvel.conf" file (like we can read in the apex 2.2 doc about configuring the 10g HTTPServer as I want), or edit the "dads.conf" file.
I tried to edit the dads file and restarted the HTTPServer. When I try to connect to APEX, I get the XDB login window but it doesn't accept my admin login. After 3 tries, I get an "unauthorized" page.
Can you tell me if the Oracle XML DB HTTP Server should be at the same port than the HTTPServer? Right now, I've set the XDB HTTP server at port 8090, but like I said, the 10g HTTP Server was installed by default at 7777.
So, when I connect to http://server:8090/pls/apex or http://server:8090/pls/apex/apex_admin, I get the XDB login but that's it. Can't login. If I connect to http://server:7777/pls/apex, it's worst, I get "Service termporarily unavailable".
I read in the forums that it could be related to the "images" folder not being accessible, but I did install APEX with the alias /i/ and I did copy the images folder in the Apache folder. So, I'm at a dead end.
Do you have any suggestions? Does the 10g HTTP Server behave differently than version 9 or 11?

XML DB HTTP Server is not required when you are using Oracle 10g. It is only required when you are using Oracle 11g. So, uninstall this component from your database, and follow the steps given in the URL below:

Sorry I'm new to all this...Is there a step-by-step in how to install APEX 3.1 to Oracle 10g other than the Installation Guide?
I'm trying to see if I'm doing the installation correct, ran the following and it gave me errors:

After reading your reply, I found out I missed install HTTP Server.
So I have installed HTTP Server in companion CD and I made the adjustment like marvel.conf and httpd.conf.
But I can't solve my problem yet.
I entered the address - http://127.0.0.1:7777/pls/apex/apex_admin - in the web browser, then

I need help installing APEX 2.2

I am very very new to this application (been using this for only 3 weeks in office where I am doing my internship).
I want to install APEX in my laptop. I've downloaded and install 10g XE. from what I read in the forum, the package contains apex 2.1. now to my questions:
how to check the installed apex version?
how to upgrade apex?
the installation guide says:
change your working directory to apex...
which directory does it mean? the installed apex directory in C: or the apex directory from the zip file i just downloaded?
how to do this?
is it using "Start->Run->cmd"
or
"Start->Oracle Database 10g Express Edition->Run SQL command line"

I think there is a 'better' solution for you, if all you want to do is to 'play around' and see the differences between 2.1 and 3.0 then I would suggest signing up for a (free) account at apex.oracle.com which is running 3.0.
I suggest this is a 'better' solution for a few reasons -
1) It will be far easier for you, since by your own admission -
"because I dont know how to change the working directory. I'm totaly new to these things..:P"
There is already enough information in this thread to point you to instructions on how to upgrade your installation but you are still having problems, so I'd hate to see you 'break' your working XE installation by making a mistake with the upgrade (even though it is well documented).
2) As I mentioned, the APEX files you downloaded are not intended to be used on an XE installation, so you're having problems doing something that you're not really supposed to be doing...therefore why continue trying to do it?
So, I'd suggest using the existing 2.1 version that comes with your XE instance and also using the 3.0 version that apex.oracle.com provides. You will be able to 'play around' with both and compare the two versions.
Just bear in mind that you will (obviously) not be able to take any applications you develop in 3.0 and install them in your 2.1 install (i.e. not backwards compatible).

You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

If you are running v10..7 Lion, install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
For 10.6 Snow Leopard > Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
Then restart your Mac. Try the App Store.
If that doesn't help, try the following..
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go
Move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try downloading Mountain Lion.
You may also need to disable anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security (or Security & Privacy) > Firewall -
