Plz help me with the font problem T_T

Could you help me with this problem ?
Here's my code :
Font font = new Font("Arial", Font.BOLD, 12);
Map fontAttributes = new HashMap();
fontAttributes.put(TextAttribute.WEIGHT, TextAttribute.WEIGHT_ULTRABOLD);
font = font.deriveFont(fontAttributes);I use this font in the graphics.drawString() method, but it seems like the text is drawn with PLAIN style, no effect of bold at all.
If i change the WEIGHT_ULTRABOLD to WEIGHT_BOLD, it works, the text is drawn with BOLD style.
I wonder what is wrong ? I really want the BOLD to be 'bolder', thicker ^.^
Or is there any other approaches to this ?

I see the same thing.
The API for TextAttribute describes WEIGHT_ULTRAWEIGHT as
specifying "The heaviest predefined weight", but as you point out
you get plain rather than bold.
This bug (http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4920831)
describes the problem:
"Fonts can be created using TextAttributes in a Map. Unlike the standard
Font constructor, which just uses a boolean 'bold' bit in the style mask,
the Map can provide a range of values for WEIGHT. In JDK 1.4.2 and 1.5,
only the weight coresponding to WEIGHT_BOLD creates a bold font-- the
rest are plain. At a minimum, all values for TextAttribute.WEIGHT that are
greater than the value for WEIGHT_BOLD should also create a bold font.
"Furthermore, different weights should (to a point) result in fonts that
appear to be of different weights, even if there are no corresponding
underlying fonts. Fonts of increasing weight should display with a
corresponding increase in boldness.
"Changes in weight should not necessarily cause a change in advance.
Synthesized weight changes should impact advance minimally, if at all."
The evaluation claims that "WEIGHT >= WEIGHT_BOLD will cause a
Bold font", but I don't see it (compiled and ran basically your code
with 1.5.0_04).

Plz help me with the workflow.........

I'm trying my level best to mould my expectations according to the software but till now no success,can you plz explain
to make the timeline less cluttered and organized we make secondary storylines and compound clips
since you can't keep too many things in order in a big project you take a portion ,compound it , work in it and come back,
within the compound clip you put transitions and some secondary storylines get created automatically within the compound clip due to applying transitions.
When you come back to the main timeline there are several times you have to break apart that compound clip,to now add more shots before and after those individual arrangement of clips ......
but since it has a secondary storyline in it, it break aparts undoing all the transitions
if instead of compound clip it is a secondary storyline it creates problem if we have to retime clips the clip again and again leaves its assigned position,nor does it eat on or overlapp the slug it has created with a P tool , when dragged,retiming it increases that clip in both directions thus leaving the assigned place......,or with opacity overlapping or for split screen have to be controlled individually from within the secondary clip in association with another clip below it...........at that moment you definately want to break it apart......
(I'm assuming that you are understanding I have to work in several layers sometimes six or seven due to complex overlapping ,split screen, keying and titles etc which you can't keep in a linear order)
Now plz suggest how should I work,
in my music videos there are more than 300 bits of clips in a 5 minute song......in several layers because of mulitilayer opacity effect and split screens
it is not possible to cut all the clips first and then put transitions in the end because you have to try arrangement of clips with transitions to see if you get the proper feel of the music else you change the order.......plz suggest me a better work flow.....
I cannot keyword things in the event browser because keywording such huge number of moments including 2-3 second shots is simply impossible because the process of trying various combinations can only be done when you have them all on the timeline in various layers..........how should I begin and what process should I stick to so that I edit portions finish them come back to main timeline and everything remains unaltered.........Thank you plz help.

So does this mean......If you can't drag your final work directly from the event browser from the beginning , you are in trouble ?
Thanks Tom ......................I know you cannot make this software work the way you want the only workflow I see possible is making event browser , the source of your footage at the very start of your project....as if you have planned the editing of all those 300 bits of a music video on the paper before hand......be it organizing clips or using split screen generators the source has to be from the event browser ,once clips are on the timeline the possibilities are too limited.......
The only way of categorizing clips on timeline are roles which only unhighlight other clips ....it again cannot be used like a selected list of source to make the place less messy.....I think even smart collection works from the event browser not from the timeline because I tried that also.Is it so....?
A FANTASY ....I wish there was a way where you could select selective clips from the timeline and refer them in a place from where they would all show up like original clips from the event browser so that you could just drag those exact pieces and place one after the other trying combinations and boom........ like you do parts from clips ......but once everything is on timeline I have still not figured out a way that you can have a bank where all those selected bits can be seen even as reference thumbnails and a then they can be placed sequentially on a timeline........dragging , move and pasting , flipping between timelines is the only way of doing it neatly,and that is very tiring and time consuming .....when two timelines can also not be placed in two windows.......I hope you are understanding what I want.......if you can't drag your final work directly from the event browser from the beginning , you are in trouble.
In earlier versions you could atleast keep all your selected 2-3 second bits or shots on various tracks and just drag them in the final track.....Is there anyway you think can be done in fcpx......I use it because it has some outstanding features other than layers .....else still have to figure out a way....plz help Tom.

Help (again) with the payroll problems

I have seen some posts about the payroll program that we students are trying to figure out. I am having some of the same problems which I have been able to sort through, but I am having a problem that I can't make go away!
My error is this:

Crucial is 1000x better and more reliable than some random seller on Ebay. I wouldn't buy RAM from Ebay, especially when you can get the same thing for $1.00 more from a much more reputable seller.

The brand name is relatively important with RAM. Macs are selective about good quality RAM; dodgy RAM from just any random seller on Ebay may not work, as you found out. i have design mainframe of my application contain some jinternalframes
.but these internal frames are not properly working since my mainframe contain borderlayout , mainframe also contain some menubar ,toolbar,jtable .so whenever i call my internalframes these frames just get behind my jtable . whenever i shift the border layout to
east or west or north the internalframes just get shift inthe given space .actually by default i have border layout as center.when shift my layout to flow layout menubar,toolbar, every thing get shifted , so another problems occur. if iam using flow layout the size of the internalframes remain the same as setted in the code. else in the borderlayout it acqurie the whole of the desktopPane.and no resize code works on it. setsize,setbound,sestpreffredsize,dimension non of these method work.

If you want to add other components to the GUI then you add them to some other part of the content pane. You don't mix other Swing components and internal frame on the desktop pane.

Information on where terminated
Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CP" -
in "CONSTRUCTOR".
The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 28
of the (Include) program "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CM002".
I want to locate the codes where the error happens, so I think I can set a breakpoint at source codes as below, but the SAP system gives me the error: the breakpoints could not be created due to incorrect entry.

include: CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CM002
row: 28

In the Debugger Window
Select Breakpoint -> Break point at -> Breakpoint at source code Menu Item and enter the details of the program/include/line no..
Activate the System Debugger On from the Settings Menu.

I meet an error when I am trying to modify a ABAP program got from my previous coworker. From the dump, I can know which program (say programERROR) the error occurs in, but I don't know which program calls this programERROR. Since there are so many programs call other ones, I cannot manually look up the codes and find the caller.
Does anyone have some ideas about how to find the calling order, like programStart calls programA, and then programA calls programERROR?

I have a jsp page which has a submit button. When the submit button is invoked control transfers to a servlet. I do some processing in the post method of servlet and then control gets transfer back to the same jsp page. Following is the code of post method of servlet:

Controller is the servlet class. What I am doing worng. Because of this my page does not get render the way it suppose to be. Lot of things are missing from the page.
Any idea why this is happening?

try using sendRedirect as a temporary solution.
Have you done any Exception handling in the code?
Make sure that there is no exception in the controller servlet.
Lastly, also make sure that your code reaches the forward method by putting some debug statements.

There is a problem with the font size of the itouch 4.

I was given a new ipod touch gen4th (ios 4.3.5) by the Apple authorized repair centre in Hong Kong three days ago. However. i found that there is a problem with the font size of it. It is different from my original one. Either the playlist or the words in the webpages , the font size is not uniform. Most of the words are boldfaced. Sometimes, there are some words are smaller in size. I don't know whether I can or cannot figure out the problem and tackle it, so, should I take it back to the repair centre? Or does anybody help me to fix it or give me some suggestions? Millions of thank.
