What and where is the original source of your videos? Are they from your iMovies or rip from a DVD? Check whether you have the right format of video that can be sync into the iPod; Take note that the iTunes can play any type of QuickTime movie your mac has that necessary codec, but that does not mean that it will sync into your iPod, your iPod only supports 2 formats: MP4 and H.264, also your iPod will play video of size 320x240

Could also be something to do with the file name... get rid of any non alpha numeric characters e.g. "_-|?><[]{}, etc... itunes for some reason doesn't like some of them....

Is the problem with my ipod or the computer? i download alot of music from the internet and i dont want this to keep happening!

Do you have an iPod Nano like you say or an iPod touch? You again posted in the iPod touch forum.

  • Ipod video wont go into my ipod...help please

Im using Videora iPod Converter and it works just fine. I convertered the movie(about 1:35 mins long) to quicktime format and i exported the movie to ipod format using quicktime. Then i opened it using itunes it plays the movie in itunes just fine but it wont go on my ipod for some reason.. and im all the way updated on itunes and quicktime and software etc Please help me...

When using Videora just convert the movie and then import it to iTunes>then to the iPod. You don't have to use Quicktime to export to iPod after it has been converted.
Use the iTunes option 'convert' under 'Advance' if the movie quality is good or convert the movie again using Videora only if the quality is poor.

  • Please Help - My iTunes library won't recognize my iPod classic

My iTunes library won't recognize my iPod classic 80gb. I try doing the trouble shooting steps on apple, but they still did not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to add some newer music to my old iPod for listening in the car or when travelling. Thanks a lot.

    Hello dmbnewfie,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your iPod classic is not being recognized in iTunes when you connect it to your computer. I know you have tried some troubleshooting on the Apple website as well, but without knowing which steps you have completed, I would suggest working through the attached iPod classic Troubleshooting Assistant.

  • When i download apps from itunes they wont sync to my ipod touch?

when i dowload apps from itunes on my laptop the apps wont sync to my ipod touch?

Do you have the correct boxes checked to sync the apps to the iPod?
Is the iPod signed into the same aiTunes account that purchased the apps?
Are the apps compatible with your iPod model?
Have you syncd apps to your iPod before?
Have you tried downloading the app directly to your iPod? If you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased them you will not be charged again.

  • HT203180 how can you check prior to purchase if the video format is compatible, and how to get refund if purchased itunes video cannot play on the ipod

Is it possible to check prior to purchase that the iTunes video about to be purchased can played on the iPod.  Also is it possible to get refund if purchased videos from itunes are not compatible on their own products (i only play videos on my ipod).

I am having this same issue since I updated OS7. Please advise.

  • Help! itunes 12 wont allow users to redownload past purchases all at once like it used to. Is there a way around this?

Help! For some reason i-tunes 12 wont allow users to re-download past purchases all at once like it used to. Is there a way around this? It will only allow you to download what it calls "Recent Purchases" which in my case only would allow 250 items. I know i have at least 700 tracks if not substantially more possibly over 2000 tracks but I can't be sure. I don't know how to find that information, I've looked in itunes under the my account past purchases but id doesn't tell you how many total songs you have purchased or any relevant details. It only shows you small chunks of receipts by date but no total tracks purchased in an easy to view snapshot that I could find. The current support page says that if you have more then 2000 songs the "ALL SONGS" tab now listed above the left pan with all your purchased artists, will change to "Recent Purchases". IF apple changed this on purpose to stop user from downloading there entire library to cut down on bandwidth they have really upset me this time. At present the only way I can download all past purchases is by selecting each artist listed in the left pan one by one selecting the "Download ALL" button at the bottom right corner of the page at which point I have to input my apple password each time, which really slows things down. I have hundreds of artists and if this is the only way for customers to re-download there entire library this is ridiculous and really unnecessary to put customers through this kind hassle just to re-download all there past purchases when the whole idea of i-cloud is to make downloading and using your music simple, quick, and convenient on multiple devices. I know the old saying "your responsible for backing up your data" yeah I know that and I've been doing that for years when no one really should ever have had too. There is no reason a service that sells music digitally should not allow customers to be able to re download content purchased on there service regardless of the fact that people should just back up anyway as an extra precaution. Well sometimes backups fail like in my case and I have to re-download. No wonder paid subscription plans are so popular. You don't have to deal with any of these issues. I can only hope this is some kind of oversight by apple and will be fixed soon. Can anyone offer a quicker solution or any information about this issue? I would greatly appreciate any helpful assistance.
Again this is for Windwos 8.1 x64 with Itunes 12.0.1.26

After spending way too much time dealing with this issue myself, I discovered that you can:
    - Within "My Music", select all the songs you need to download (all w/ the cloud icon - use Shift-Click)
    - Right click and select download
All songs will begin downloading from iCloud

  • Please help me itunes 8 wont load w/ invalid signature error

There has to be some sort of cosmic joker who is laughing at all of us. Perhaps the folks at Verisign are playing games with us or maybe it's Microsoft. How can there be a requirement to upgrade to itunes 8 when you purchase a new Nano and then not be able to do it because of an invalid signature error. I'm not the only one who has had this problem as I see it all over the web. I have tried it on another system sitting right next to this one (Win vista x32bit) and it didn't work either. I have deleted everything and updated win installer ver 4.5 and nothing works. The application wont run because of the signature error. I'm sure that the powers that be know what the problem is but dont want to release the fix because one side or the other hasn't been paid the appropriate money. It's always about the money. I have read every thread and suggestion that I could find but cant get it to work. If anyone has the answer please help me. I'm not a technotard and this is frustrating

I am afraid AFIK a clear cut solution for this hasn't emerged.
Are you trying to update with Apple Software Update. You might try repairing it from add/remove programs and trying again after a restart.
Have you tried downloading the iTunes installer from here:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Save the file on your desktop and run it from there.
I would clear your temporary Internet files and restart your PC before doing this.
If that doesn't work, maybe running the installer from your browser would work, although saving the file is usually best.
I have one report that a problem with a router causes this problem and that replacing the router fixed it, but in this case all downloads were affected.
It would be interesting to see if you can install the standalone Quicktime as a test. You can download it from here:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
You want the version without iTunes, which is not the default.

  • Help with iTunes video?

I'm having an odd problem that I can't seem to fix. I've downloaded from iTunes the first season of "Dexter", synced it and watched the program on my 80GB iPod. I just downloaded season two, and though I can watch it on iTunes, I can't get it to sync onto my iPod. Season one still does, but it won't recognize season two.
Any help please? I'm travelling soon and desperate to get this fixed. Thanks

It's immaterial that you got the video "off iTunes". If it's a Podcast, then what actually happens is that the *iTunes Store* lists the Podcast, but doesn't store it within the store. When you ask for it, or subscribe to it, iTunes does the work (for you) of finding the location of that file on the producer's server, and then downloads it via the iTunes Store (sort-of) to your computer. One reason for doing it this way is that should the producer move the location of the files, iTunes will know and you don't lose track of the Podcast.
The actual Podcast programmes are created by independent producers for general use, portable media players (including iPods) being just one method of playing/watching them. So perhaps the producers have decided to upgrade the video quality to a higher bit rate, one which the iPod Classic cannot handle. iTunes knows this, so does not transfer the video, hence the message. The iPod has far less computing power than a full computer, so it cannot play the very latest standard of best-quality videos. The producer may have decided that not playing on an iPod is acceptable to him/her since the file can still be played on the computer itself. I don't know, I'm simply suggesting a possibility.
You could try converting the video in iTunes. To do this, highlight the video and click on *Advanced/Create iPod or iPhone version* . This will do the job of reducing the bit rate (if that's what is required) so that it will then transfer and play on your iPod. However, each conversion takes a long time, and doesn't always work. It depends, I suppose, on the original file.
    Good luck.
