ok, so i wanted to add a video file to the library, so i found out how, and did this:
1. click file, add file to library
2. found the file and double clicked it.
it was supposed to impot it to my library right??? but it didn't!!, it didn't do anything!!! why is that?? please someone, help me out.

hmmm okay. it's worth checking to see if no videos are adding to your library, or just ones from a certain source.

Having trouble deleting movie files from itunes

I'm curious as to how I delete movies from itunes. I imported these clips of a movie into itunes and would now like to remove them but i can't seem to do that. I tried deleting the files off my hard drive. itunes recognizes that i deleted them but they still appear in the Video menu of itunes. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, you can delete movies or music tracks from iTunes by selecting the file in the iTunes library and pressing delete, and then clicking the "Move to Trash" button in the confirmation box that pops up.

Having trouble syncing PDF file to itunes ibooks

Hello:
I am attempting to get a PDF file that I have on my iphone (ibooks) to sync to itunes. For some reason, I am unable to get it to sync to itunes so I can read it on my laptop. Please advise.

I too am having the same issue. I've noticed some of my pdf's I've saved on my iPad have transfered back to iTunes but some others aren't. The reason this is an issue as I have more than one iDevice and would like to keep them in sync. The pdf's that haven't synced back to iTunes are the Standford University Fall 2011 objective c pdf's.

Trouble saving m4v files from iTunes

I purchased a music video from iTunes that I want to edit. I have the latest version of Quicktime (plus Quicktime Pro7), which allows me to edit, but not to save or export the file. I would love to resave the file as a .mov but it won't let me (at least that way I could edit it in iMovie). If this were a pure audio file, I'd burn it to disc and then re-import it onto my hard drive for editing (removing the protection), but when I tried to burn the Video in iTunes, it wouldn't let me!
Any ideas?

Derek, welcome to these discussions.
The terms of use for your purchased videos don't allow modifying the file. They are "protected" using the same scheme used in the music downloads.
You'll need to find a different source of the file (or violate the laws regarding copyright).

Help with the missing file in iTunes library on Mac

My recent purchase, a movie, from iTunes does not appear in the library. It shows up on my other devices, iPhone and Apple TV, though. There's an exclamation mark next to the movie file in the libaray and I did try to locate the missing file but it didnt work out. It seems that it hasnt even downloaded the pertaining *.m4v file. I also checked for any incomplete downloaded file, but there wasn't any... Is there any other way I can retrieve/redownload the missing file from my Apple ID account (because I have the movie on my other devices) to my library on Mac?

Well it started working for me today, out of the blue.
The only thing that I think could be a coincidence is that I recently installed Adobe CS6 on my Mac (it's likely that this is when the problem started), but today I had to open a CS5 product. The next time I looked at iTunes everything was working.
I doubt that has anything to do with it, but hey maybe! I hope others are experiencing the fix too

Trouble syncing video files from Itunes to Ipod

I've downloaded a few videos through the iTunes store and they play through iTunes with no problem but when I sync to my new 32GB iPod Touch, I get the following message:
"Some of the videos in your iTunes library, including the video "[name of video]", were not copied to the iPod "DC iPod" because they cannot be played on this iPod."
On a previous thread about this issue ive seen that apparantly Ipods are unable to take 'HD' video, anybody able to tell me how to take the video out of HD because ive spent £20 on the 'Glory Daze' series and uploaded the new IOS server in hope of working but at the moment its just looking like a waste of £20

It's probably a good idea to update your iTunes. However, you should be able to get an SD copy of the same TV Show. Try right-> clicking on the show in iTunes and looking for an option related to downloading or using the SD version.

Plz help, i cannot import cd using itunes 10.3.1(55)

the issue is when i put the cd in the drive, open itunes than itunes start to read the disc, sometime it could be read, but sometimes it just eject the cd, i dont know what exactly the problem was on my macbook pro (13" mid 2010).

The folder is completely empty. I reconfirmed that I have full-control persmissions on all folders below my username ...

Those files are send as application/octet-stream and that makes Firefox display a download dialog.

Error 503 cannot download ATOT podcast plz help!!

I can't download a state of trance episode 100.Plz help!
I tried both from itunes and dorectly from my ipod.Am able to download other podcasts.

After several more attempts, episode 100 is now downloading to my iTunes but fairly slowly. It's a special episode (and it's two hours long) so perhaps over-demand is causing the download to fail.
As I'm typing, the remaining time to download is actually increasing and that makes me more certain that it's simply more people trying to download it than the host server can supply.
Keep trying.

Then you won't be able to use that backup. You might as well delete it and start over.

I was updating my iphone to ios 8 and it went into recovery mode. i went onto itunes to fix it and it said i needed to update my phone. when i clicked on it it said it would take 500 hrs and kept going on, then it would crash. plz help. :(

yesterday i tried updating to Ios 8. i new there were going to be some problems but i decided to do it. i started the update and less than a half hour into it my phone completely crashed.it went into recovery mode so i connected it to iTunes. i hit restore and update . it gave me and estimated time that kept going up. finally when it got to 800 hours it stopped and said an error occurred. i tried it again and the same error occurred. i am very disappointed in this because i greatly need my phone for school and other important things. i wasn't gonna wait that time anyway. i would like to know if there is anyway i don't have to update, get out of this screen without waiting forever, speed up the time, or get my computer to not crash when it gets to so many hours. (i have windows) plz help me out asap!!!

I have experienced a similar error with the iPhone 4S. The new version of iTunes will not let me restore the phone, it must be updated and nothing appears to be happening. Suffice it to say I am not amused. Apple needs to work this out - I had trouble updating to 8.0.2 as well.

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

my problem is that i have only 2 mega free in my C memory and i dont have any pics or messages or any thing on it and when i make memory detail for C what i found is SIS AOOKICATIONS is 32 MB and Other friles 38 MB
can u plz describe for me what is sis and other files and how can i only fromat C and why not all apllications downloaded on mass memory even i make the option in ovi store plz plz help

Remember to backup essential data first but you can reset device to "Out of box" state by three keys depressed power on as for N97 described here:http://mynokiablog.com/2009/07/18/how-to-hard-reset-your-nokia-n97/
