with most warm welcome and request from a student ....
who is new in the era of SAP. and appointed as a developer(ABAP module)
i have completed apporximately 6 months training in SAP R/3 4.7 like pp, mm, sd...etc
modules . i have choosen PP module for further.....right now i have completed the help regarding ABAP programming from help.sap.com
problem is that i would like to know that wht r the job responsibilities of a ABAPER in an organization..... i have also a test server on which i am going to make reports.....
plz tell me all abt ABAP module.. how can i go further in this module....

Hi, welcome to SDN!! The responsibilities vary between companies. In some companines a ABAP is confined to writing code for a specifi module like PP and that's it. In other companies, the ABAPer is free to roam into other modules. Some ABAPers are expected to only write code, not to talk with the users. In other companies, the ABAPer is also the functional/analysis person.

Help! is itunes 6 worth downloading? plz read

I was wondering if ne of u have downloaded the recent upgrade to itunes the itunes 6 and if it was worth downloading because i read a bunch of problem ppl were having with itunes 5.01 and i dont wanna download this and then get screwed because i jsut loaded all 60 of my cds on here and that took like 3 days so plz write back

Don't Do it. Stay with wat you got, it works.
iTunes 6 has messed up more windows computers than can be easily counted, the outraged posts on these discussion boards are only the tip of the iceberg so to speak.
I had the older iTunes, it worked great!
But now, on my laptop iTunes 6 acts like some trojan program, trying to make connections to the internet when it's not supposed to do that. When it can't connect, it hangs, and you can not even end-task the dead zombie program.
Nothing else was changed, so it's not a Windows issue.
iTunes 6 will not allow Windows XP Home Ed. to even reboot properly, and no, the combatability mode (Windows 2000) didn't fix it.
I don't know what they did, but iTunes 6 does not seem as stable as the older iTunes.
So, my advice is if you can, Wait for iTunes 6.1 when they have had time to clean up all the problems. And you might wait on getting a video iPod, too. Being first is not always good!
I look forward to Apple's updates.
I've enjoyed iTunes from the start, and it seems each major revision runs into some bugs that need working out, before they get it running smoothly.
Maybe the programmers were forced to rush delivery of the new iTunes with Video? Meeting short deadlines can be very stressful.
I bet everybody has been working very hard to make the major changes to iTunes and the iPod. I know writing software isn't easy, everything has to be perfect!
I just wish Apple would post a small link to download the older versions, so all the people who have now have damaged windows computers could roll-back to the older iTunes and enjoy their music and shop at the music store again.

I lost all my music from my library and i cant find it anywhere is there a way i can take the songs on my ipod and put thm in my library. plz help!

I found the following steps to recover a deleted library. Not sure who the author is but it worked for me.
Start with the iPod disconnected from the computer - DON'T CONNECT IPOD YET
- open iTunes
- open iTunes Preferences - this blocks iTunes from seeing an iPod connection; leave the preferences window up and running
- connect the iPod to the computer, wait about 15 seconds before continuing
- open 'My Computer'
- Tools menu, Folder Options, View tab, enable 'show hidden files /folders'
- open iPod icon in My Computer
- open iPod_Control folder
- you should see a folder named Music
- drag this folder to somewhere on your computer hard drive
- after the copy completes, right-click the new Music folder on your hard drive and select 'Properties'
- clear the checkmark next to 'Hidden'
- Close that explorer window
- eject iPod from System tray "Safely Remove Hardware" icon. This icon looks like a small gray rectangle with a green arrow floating above it. It's only there when a removable device (like the iPod in this case) is attached to the computer. Right-click & select 'Safely remove..', then click 'Stop' in the next window, OK in the next window, and then Close to complete the ejection.
- disconnect the iPod from the computer
- go back to iTunes, cancel the preferences window
- File menu \ Add folder to Library \ find that Music folder copied over from the iPod
Your iTunes library should be back in action! But wait - there's more!!

i updated my iphone 3g 2 times since in one week, now i dont want to restor again......
whenever i touch clock icon there is nothing happening, when i press continues like 5 to 10 times then its open.....and working correct, also time is working well, cloths needles are working, time is showing alarm is working .....
i also search forum, but i cant solve my problem.
But its not opening with one touch, whats wrong....plz take a seroius look...

Take it to an Apple Store or call support line for help on returning and getting a new one. If restore doesn't work, then your only other real option is to return to get a new one.

How can i execute some code in a jsp page on the same page ? plz read.

I have made a single JSP Page where in i want to delete users, create users, update table data.
I have all the UI on the first page. Now i want to write my all JDBC coding on just this single page. I don't want to create 3 separate pages. Can it be done ?

Plz read- itunes wont load album info

I recently downloaded itunes v5 because i didnt have ne other version because my computer was wiped out, and when i finally got it and began to import cds itunes would not upload the album info the songs would come into the library known as "track 1" with no information ive alrdy been told to try to highlight songs ang click get cd information but when i do that the top bar says accessing grace note and loads and then i get an error saying "error loading CDDB HTTP 128 error" plz someone help will take weeks to write in the information for all my cds will apple ever fix itunes 5? ive heard so many complaints about it

now itunes recognizes the cd is by what artist and says it in the source bar but sitll no information is put onto the cds plz respond

I keep asking how to download notes and calendar. They say go to preferences than click the ipod tab than the calendar tab. Their is no Calander tab. Or contacts tab What do I do for that to show up. Is their a seperate download aside from what my pod came with? Please any answer is appreciated. Thank you.

Reversal of Purchase Return Issue Details.. Plz read whole ticket First

Dear Sir,
The problem we are facing goes like this,
We procure a raw material say for 50 Rs/Kg.
We do the goods receipt, take part II credit and do invoicing,
(e.g. In client 101, we created a material 10000 0010, and created a PO 40000 0002280, MIGO- 50000 07751, MIRO- 5105604217)
Then, it is found that there is some quality issue with the material.
So user creates a returns PO, where by mistake user enters price inclusive of duty e.g. 55.10 Rs/Kg.
And does the goods issue, Raises Excise invoice through J1IS, inserts the duty figures manually as per vendor invoice but, while raising the credit note, the invoice value
does not match with the vendors invoice as the price entered in return PO was wrong.
(e.g. In client 101, PO u2013 48000 00035, MIGO- 5000 07752, MIRO- Not Done)
In this case, there are 2 alternatives
1. To reverse the Excise Invoice (for which we do not know the procedure and how to cross check that reversal has been successful) and reverse Goods Issue and correct the PO for fresh transaction.
2. Pass a JV in finance to match the invoice value as Invoice has got proper Excise Amounts (possible effects in Finance????).
i would like to know how we can go about this issue.

I'll prefer above option,because,material is issued with wrong price and p.o is created with wrong price(While auditing,auditors will raise question for higher price in p.o),So do it as per first option,In J1IS,Click shift+F10,cancel icon to cancel excise invoice,later display excise invoice using internal doc. no & year.

How to arrange my list by last modified? plz read and u'll know wat i mean

Hey folks
I know this question is a no brainer.. but check this out it's quite weird... so I was on tinypic.com trying to upload an image... and normally i have all my stuff listed by "last modified" because I do a lot of changes to whatever it is I normally work on... but check this out.

You see how it's listing everything as "Last Modified" but what's weird is it shows everything for today in chronological order... why is that?
plz help cuz its super annoying

He has clicked the little the column header arrow so it points up, which means it should be displaying things with the oldest at the top and the most recent at the bottom. Indeed, if you skip the files modified "Today" the rest of 'em are in that order, 8/31/08 down to 1/15/09. Even the "Todays" are listed in that order, with the earliest at the top and most recent at the the end of the "Today" group. But they should be in that order at the bottom of the list, not appearing where they do as a little sub-clump above the other items! Anyway, it looks bizarre to me. I wonder if it is something in the software used to upload? Anyway, when I do an Open dialog in the apps I have running (Safari, TextEdit and Preview) and select the Desktop, and click the Date Modified column so the little arrow points up, I see the oldest items at the top, the most recent at the bottom.

New to Java: requires help possible tutor plz read

Ok, i ma very keen to learn the basics of java, however my experience is limited. When i was studying at the university of london i completed an object orientated programming module based on the the book "javagently". Since that time i have not been programming and am really keen to get into it and make my first (simple) application. i have set up java on my pc and have done a few tutorials around but would really like a reconmendation for a good text book that can take me to this level.
Let me explain what i intend on building, i play a wargame online called "Medieval:TotalWar - Viking Invasion" basically in this game you buy units for fighting and to make them more effective you can add "valor", "weap" or "armour" all of which increase the cost of the unit. a unit has base stats for different attributes and all of these variables adjust the attributes accordingly.
All the stats for the units i have in excell and text file format, i would ideally like to have scroll down bars that let you select "unit type", "valor", "weap" and "armour" default being 0 and then the app will display all the attributes that apply to those selected options. In theory i cannot see this being too hard but i just dont know where to start.
I am looking for a good text book that would help acheive this goal and also possibly a kind person that would be able to answer my silly questions privately without me looking like a fool in front of everyone here ;) on a serious note though i am deadly serious about completing this even if it takesa few months to get a grasp, if you have any inptu whatsoever it would be greatly appreciated no matter how small it may seem. if you want to see the txt file it is available here http://kenchi.mysite.freeserve.com/VIKINGS_UNIT_PROD.TXT as an example i also can get it on an excel sheet if it is easier to handle but at moment i can just about copy a txt file let alone do anything else with it.

Macbook plane question (plz plz read and reply if u know the answer)

I'm planning on buying a new macbook in hong kong and taking it back to china because its cheaper in hong kong, but the macbook isn't for me so i want to take it back to china by plane and i was wondering if i have to open the macbook box and boot it up to take it on the plane with me.

While I can't speak for China process & procedure, I can speak to my own experiences leaving Hong Kong. I was over there about 14-months ago on business and did a little "shopping" for various electronics. Mind you I had my personal machine and maybe 10 other "gadgets" and about a dozen video games/movies.
Fast forward 2 hours and I finally got through security. They checked everything, inside and out and made me open every box and turn on/off every gadget. My advice, if you don't travel between the two places regularly is to call and confirm specific import/export regulations. As a foreigner, maybe I was a bigger target but they left no stone unturned with my carry-on items. No way, would I have made it through with a sealed box.

lo guys, I'm sorry i have to ask such a newb question..altho i am kinda new at this...but can anyone tell me how they installed their Tv@nywhere with Windows XP? the drivers for me don't seem to work..when i install it...i get the windows xp error saying that it may not be compatible...i've tried continuing and the driver was installed but when i run the program...i can't get anything...:S plz help..i really want to run this on win xp...anything will be much appreciated...thanx a tonne in advance guys

glad you're enjoying it! i don't use my TV@nywhere Plus much, apart from to use it to play my Nintendo GameCube, but i think its an all round better solution than the TV@nywhere Master it replaced (as well as being much cheaper too). however, once you go down the Digital TV route, you'll never go back to analogue TV again

I want a new iPhone. Plz read and help if you can.

I have a 4gb iPhone. I've done ALOT of damage to it. Not on purpose though. I've dropped it and the plastic black portion fell off and the silver part on the back 'ripped' and there is a crack in the bottom of it and one of the screws fell off. I have the apple care for it but I know they won't do anything because it was accedental. It works but not as hood as it used too. Also when the sdk comes out how much memory will the apps use? Its only a 4gig and it only has like 200mb left. If I was to buy a new 8gig iPhone
1) will I be able to pop my sim inane sync and itbe ok?
2) will I have to start a new new 2 year contract
And 3) will I be able tooge the apple care to it?

AppleCare will not cover the repair for this or in this case what needs to be replaced with a new iPhone but instead of paying full price for an 8GB iPhone, AppleCare may charge you "only" $249 instead for the replacement for the iPhone only - not a complete retail package with everything included when purchasing a new iPhone.
You transfer the SIM card from the old iPhone to the new iPhone abd a two year contract with AT&T is not required. If replaced with an 8GB for $249, the existing warranty remains in effect.
If you purchase a new 8GB iPhone paying full retail price, everything is the same except the warranty on the new iPhone begins on the purchase date.
