    Hi,
    SYSTEM VARIABLES:
    These are predefined variables defined by SAP. Each system variable starts with the naming convention SY-____. SYST is the name of a structure which holds predefined system variables.
    Some of the predefined system variables we commonly use in programming are:
    SY-UZEIT
    SY-DATUM
    SY-SUBRC
    SY-INDEX
    SY-TABIX
    SY-TFILL
    SY-ULINE
    SY-VLINE
    SY-LISEL
    SY-LILLI
    SY-LSIND
    SY-PAGNO
    SY-DYNNR
    PRINTING DATE AND TIME USING SYSTEM VARIABLES:
    Eg. code
    DATA DAT LIKE SY-DATUM VALUE '20070720'.
    WRITE DAT .
    DATA TIM LIKE SY-UZEIT VALUE '062015'.
    WRITE TIM.
    PRINT HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL LINES IN LPS:
    SY-ULINE - This system variable is used to print horizontal line in LPS (List Processing Screen).
    SY-VLINE - This system variable is used to print vertical line in LPS.
    Eg. code
    WRITE 'THIS IS AN EXECUTABLE PROGRAM'.
    WRITE :/ 'THIS IS FIRST LINE OF THE PROGRAM'.
    WRITE :/10(40) SY-ULINE.
    WRITE :/ 'THIS IS LAST LINE OF THE PROGRAM'.
    In the above code, WRITE :/10(40) SY-ULINE, this statement is used to print the horizontal line with position specifiers where,
    10 specifies the starting position of horizontal line and
    (40) specifies the length of the line in the form of character spaces.
    Eg. code to draw vertical lines:
    do 5 times.
    write :/10 sy-vline.
    enddo.
    By default, a vertical lines takes one single line to draw. We cannot specify length for the vertical line.
    ADDING COLOR TO THE OUTPUT IN LPS:
    ABAP follows VIBGYOR format for specifying colors in LPS screen. We can define a number for each color starting from 1 - 7.
    SYNTAX:
    WRITE <variable_name> COLOR <color_id>.
    eg. code:
    DATA KARTHIK(10) VALUE 'CHENNAI'.
    WRITE KARTHIK COLOR 1.
    INCLUDE PROGRAMS:
    These are type I programs in SAP. These are one of the repository objects. These programs are used to store a piece of code. We can call the Include program from Executable program using INCLUDE statement.
    Eg. code in Include program:
    *&  Include           ZINCLUDEPROGRAM    * Autogenerated code
    DATA A TYPE I VALUE '20'.
    WRITE A.
    Save -> Activate.
    To invoke the above include program, specify following code in Executable Program:
    REPORT  ZEXECUTABLEPROGRAM .   * Autogenerated Code
    INCLUDE ZINCLUDEPROGRAM.
    Save -> Activate -> Execute.
    SUBMIT STATEMENT:
    This statement is used to invoke only the output of the specified program.
    eg. code:
    REPORT  ZNEWEXECUTABLEPROGRAM .  * Autogenerated code
    SUBMIT ZEXECUTABLEPROGRAM.
    Save -> Activate.
    ADDING INDEXES TO VALUES IN LPS:
    Eg. code:
    DO 5 TIMES.
    WRITE :/ SY-INDEX COLOR 1, 'THIS IS ABAP IN SAP' COLOR 2.
    IF SY-INDEX = 3.
    EXIT.
    ENDIF.
    ENDDO.
    SY-INDEX is the system variable used to specify index value in LPS.
    EXIT is the control break statement used to break and exit the loop.
    Regards,
    Priya.

  • In ical, how can you tell the difference between a meeting invite and email?

    When you send a meeting invite in ical, does the recipient receive a different icon in their inbox to differentiate from an email?

    For service stock you can't tell the difference between a new iPad and a refurbished one. Both will come in a plain brown box with the same pattern in model numbers. If you mean between a refurbished one and one new at retail, then other than the obvious difference in packaging, I've read that the model number on refurbished units starts with the letter "F", though I've not confirmed that.

  • Pls tell me difference between case and decode

    Hi all
    pls tell me difference between case and decode
    regards

    Well not entirely true when you consider working with
    sign and decode together. Your example could be
    written with decode and sign like this:
    decode(sign(sal-1000),1,sal+comm,-1,sal,0)But the case expression reads more easily, I admit.Rob it was just example you considered it special case ,BTW can you do it for me by DECODE function.
    SQL> SELECT sal,comm,CASE WHEN sal>1000 AND sal<1300 THEN sal+comm ELSE 0 END
      2    FROM emp
      3  /
           SAL       COMM CASEWHENSAL>1000ANDSAL<1300THENSAL+COMMELSE0END
          5000                                                          0
          2850                                                          0
          2450                                                          0
          2975                                                          0
          1250       1400                                            2650
          1600        300                                               0
          1500          0                                               0
           950                                                          0
          1250        500                                            1750
          3000                                                          0
           800                                                          0
           SAL       COMM CASEWHENSAL>1000ANDSAL<1300THENSAL+COMMELSE0END
          3000                                                          0
          1100
          1300                                                          0
    14 rows selected.Note for OP CASE can be used within PL/SQL witing ORACLE 9i or later release
    but DECODE function can only be used within SQL.

  • Can anyone tell the difference between USB 3.0 and 2.0?

    I have both a 8GB flashdrive 3.0 and 2.0. I got the 3.0 at office depot for $8.00 and 2.0 for the same price at best buy. I honestly can't tell the difference between the two. They both seem to be the same in speed. Is there really a difference?

    This is an interesting subject, I just recalled a MacWorld podcast I was listening to when the 3.0s were first hitting the market. A guest on the podcast was saying to think of it like a 'bottle neck' not so much as speed. With the 3.0 you can push more information through at any one time. So in the case of the hd movie senario, if you had multiple movies transfering at one time the 3.0 would be a lot faster than a 2.0.

  • How do you tell the difference between a genuine USB to Lightning cable? I spoke to two different operators at Apple Support. One said that it has Designed in California Made in China and the serial number on it, and the other operator said it didn't

    How can you tell the difference between a genuine Apple lead and the cheap, or sometimes not so cheap imitations? I spoke with two people at Apple Support - one said that it has Designed in California Made in China and the serial number stamped on it, and the other said it didn't. Come on guys, how are we supposed to tell if you can't? I'd really like to know how to identify my lead amongst my daughter's gazillion fakes?

    All my cables are genuine either with the devices or from Apple retail Store I have never found a serial number on any regardless of which length ,I have all three lengths
    In fact they have nothing printed at all only a USB logo at relevant end

  • How to tell the difference between 10w and 12w?

    We have:
    2 iPhone 5s
    1 iPad
    1 iPad 2
    1 iPad (4) with Retina
    I know that the iPhones use the smaller 5w charger, but how do I tell the difference between the iPad/iPad 2's 10w charger and the iPad 4's 12w charger? They look exactly the same.
    The iPad 4 takes forever to charge, so I want to make sure I am using the 12w - and I don't want to damage the older iPads by accidentally using the 12w.
    Thanks!

    Read the fine print on the charger. My iPad 2 10W charger says 5.1V 2.1A. A 12W charger should have a higher number for A.
    You can use the iPad 4 charger on your other devices, without damage, to charge them faster.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
    Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
    How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
    At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night.     The only difference between procedures and functions is that functions always return a single value to the caller, while procedures do not return a value to the caller.
  • What are views in DDIC and plz mention the difference between them
    hi,
    What are views in DDIC and plz mention the difference between the different type of views..
    1) maintainence view
    2)database view
    3)Projection view
    4)help view
    P.S : Good answers will be rewarded with points.
    Hi,
    The followings are different types of views:
    - Database View   (SE11)
    Database views are implement an inner join, that is, only records of the primary table (selected via the join operation) for which the corresponding records of the secondary tables also exist are fetched. Inconsistencies between primary and secondary table could, therefore, lead to a reduced selection set.
    In database views, the join conditions can be formulated using equality relationships between any base fields. In the other types of view, they must be taken from existing foreign keys. That is, tables can only be collected in a maintenance or help view if they are linked to one another via foreign keys.
    - Help View    ( SE54)
    Help views are used to output additional information when the online help system is called.
    When the F4 button is pressed for a screen field, a check is first made on whether a matchcode is defined for this field. If this is not the case, the help view is displayed in which the check table of the field is the primary table. Thus, for each table no more than one help view can be created, that is, a table can only be primary table in at most one help view.
    - Projection View
    Projection views are used to suppress or mask certain fields in a table (projection), thus minimizing the number of interfaces. This means that only the data that is actually required is exchanged when the database is accessed.
    A projection view can draw upon only one table. Selection conditions cannot be specified for projection views.
    - Maintenance View   ( SE54 )
    Maintenance views enable a business-oriented approach to looking at data, while at the same time, making it possible to maintain the data involved. Data from several tables can be summarized in a maintenance view and maintained collectively via this view. That is, the data is entered via the view and then distributed to the underlying tables by the system
  • If unboxed how could you tell the difference between refurbished imac and new imac?
    If unboxed how could you tell the difference between refurbished imac and new imac?
    Besides all of that, you can purchase Apple Care which will extend your warranty to 3 years just like you can on a brand new iMac.
    If you're considering a "refurbished" iMac, buy it ONLY from Apple.  I believe it's your best bet.
  • FormCalc Formula to tell the difference between two time fields if they are populated - Help please
    Hi,
    I have a cell (TotalTime1) that references two other time formatted cells (Start1 and Finish 1).
    The below formula is intended to tell the difference between the Start and Finish time if they are populated.
    I had it working without the HasValue condition but the formula was calculating when there was no value in Start1 and Finish1 (due to time format).
    This is the code I do have, it says there is an error near the last line; I am sorry if I post this in the wrong manner, I have not posted on this forum before but here goes:
    if (HasValue (Finish1)  and HasValue (Start1)) then if (Time2Num(Start1.formattedValue, "HH:MM") < Time2Num (Finish1.formattedValue, "HH:MM")) then Abs (Time2Num(Start1.formattedValue, "HH:MM") - Time2Num(Finish1.formattedValue, "HH:MM")) / (60 * 60 * 1000) else 24 - Abs (Time2Num(Finish1.formattedValue, "HH:MM") - Time2Num(Start1.formattedValue, "HH:MM")) / (60 * 60 * 1000) endif
    Any help would be appreciated.
  • Difference between SAP Learning Solution & Training and Event Manag
    Hi All,
    Can anyone tell me the Difference between SAP Learning Solution & Training and Event Manag.
    Which approach would be recommended for the Training and Event Management implementation..
    Pls let me know the pro's and con's of both the approaches.
    Regards
    Vijay
    Hi Vijay,
    Training and Event Management (now called <b>Training Management (TEM)</b>, sometimes referred to as PE in SAP documentation). Employees/Learners were able to book courses and view their training history via Employee Self-Service, and supported the full suite of classroom training administration functions.
    SAP’s current learning software is SAP’s Learning Solution (LSO). Companies still can use TEM to administer classroom-only training or they can choose to leverage LSO functionality to deliver classroom training as well as Web-based training, virtual classrooms, blended learning, and collaboration to their employees.
    Training Management (TEM) serves as the foundation of SAP’s Learning Solution (LSO). However, LSO includes much new functionality such as administering and delivering Web-based training, virtual classrooms, curricula, and online tests. The entire LSO consists of SAP Authoring Environment, Content Management System (CMS), Learning Management System (LMS), Learning Portal, Content Player, Offline Player, Business Intelligence (BI), and the Collaboration functionality.
    Regards,
    Dev
