We have also been noticing the same problem since Friday, and it appears to be persisting this morning as well. I checked on other materials from other Institutions and some play and some don't. I have reached out to Apple to see what the issue is, but no word back.

When downloading course materials from Moodle, why do new Firefox windows open repeatedly and indefinitely until I FORCE QUIT?

I use Moodle for my University courses. Moodle recommends using Firefox. Lately, when I download materials for my courses, Firefox begins to rapidly open new blank windows and will not stop until I Force Quit. I also am left with as many blank documents in my Downloads Folder as the amount of opened windows. Occasionally, when my required materials are successfully downloaded, the document will cause the aforementioned problem to begin again. I have removed Firefox and then reloaded and it is still occurring. I have attempted to use Safari and have not had the same problem. I would prefer to use Firefox but am reaching the limit of my patience and am about to say goodbye forever.

Course materials not streaming

Since Friday, we've been having problems with the newly added course on iTunes U stream in iTunes on Windows. Tried playing other materials from other pages/universities it works fine. I could still subscribe and download the materials which will show up in the library (and then be able to stream from there once I hit play). But streaming it from the main page of the course itself is not working. I noticed it with the other course under my university where when you hit play the play button just keeps loading but nothing's happening. However the materials from the Top Downloads section streams just fine.
Has anybody else encountered this problem?

SEM-BCS Courses | Materials

Hi,
I would like to take a training on SEM-BCS from SAP.
Can you please let me know the course contents and what all areas should actually be taken up in order to be considered knowledgable in SEM-BCS.
The issue that I am facing is that people opine differently when consulted and SAP India eductation site does not offer any course exclusively for SEM-BCS.
Could this be a part of the normal BW course?.

How to hide materials in iTunes U Materials Library

When creating an iTunes U course for the high school level, my teachers would like to hide online quizzes and some other documents until students reach that topic. Is there any way to hide items in the Materials Library from student view until they are needed in the course? If no, is there a way to completely hide the course materials so that students have no access to it?
This is a huge problem that I know other districts are struggling with.

One thought is that you could add your course materials only to "My Materials Library", accessible from the popup menu in the top-right. As you create each assignment, add the relevant material from your materials, and it will then appear in the students' materials list.
If this really is a widespread issue, I strongly recommend that you let Apple know:

I tried sending an e-mail through NI.com and never got a response, so I thought I'd try the forums.
I'm interested in purchasing the course materials for "Managing Software Engineering" and "Advanced Architectures" as part of my CLA prep. There aren't any courses being taught in my area, and nothing seems to be scheduled for an online course. I couldn't find the information searching through the course pages on NI.com.
Does anyone know how much it would cost to get just the course material for self-teaching?

Ray is right, the best way to get pricing and scheduling information is to contact the NI India branch directly.
However, as to your other questions:
LabVIEW Basics is a previous version of the LabVIEW Training Courses. You can check the front of the manuals to see what version of LabVIEW the course materials cover, but I believe it is LabVIEW Version 8.5 or 8.6, which is about 4 versions back.
Because the certification exam tests over the latest version of LabVIEW, 2011 in this case, you will find a few differences- for example, the appearance of variables and boolean constants off the top of my head. You can go online on ni.com and search for "What's new in LabVIEW" and a number of links worth purusing pop up: What's New in LabVIEW 2011? What's New in LabVIEW 2011/features
However, I wouldn't spend too much time on this, as it will probably only impact a few questions.
When we moved from Basics to LabVIEW Core Training, we shuffled topics around for a better user experience. For instance: Event Structures used to be in LabVIEW Intermediate 1, but can now be found in LabVIEW Core 2. You will therefore what to do a topic comparison, as I describe below.
That being said, the LabVIEW Basics 1&2 manuals will still be a great way to familiarize yourself with the LabVIEW Programming environment. I recommend the following plan to prep for the CLAD:
Read through the LabVIEW Basics 1&2 concepts manual to familiarize yourself with the properties of LabVIEW objects and the proper terminology for things. For example, this will teach you that arrays are indexed from 0 and the red dot that sometimes appears on a terminal when you have a type mismatch is called a "Coercion Dot."
Work through the exercises and practice programming so you get used to the LabVIEW Environment and tools.
When you have completed that course compare the LabVIEW Core 1 and LabVIEW Core 2 Course Outlines, which lists the lesson titles, to the lessons in Basics 1&2. This should give you an idea of any topics you may be missing. A search on ni.com or in the LabVIEW Help should be able to fill in any holes. (event structure)
Finally, review the CLAD Preparation Guide's list of Topics and Subtopics to make sure you are familiar with everything you may be tested on.
After you know the material, this Discussion Forum has other posts on preparing for the exam. You can watch the Preparation webcasts and try the 2 Sample exams to get a feel for the type of questions you will be asked. And there are some helpful blogs we have listed.

Problems Implementing SAP in AIS Course

Hi,
New member here and first-time SAP instructor. I am a little confused about the procedure for getting started with a course/exercise, like Cottonwood, for example.
I have my server and client information from CSU, Chico and I have my student IDs. I understand the company code for Cottonwood is 80xx, but how do I set the company code as a default in Instructor dataset (can't locate the input screen)? Then how do I push the codes down to the student IDs without individually enterning them? There is something I am missing and I cannot find any discussion of that or procedural guides on the forum.
Please help. Trying to meet a deadline. Any assistance would be appreciated.

What you should have from Chico is the sytem information for the client that you requested. The client is really a data set and that dataset is normally tied to a specific company code so it should already be set up to default to that company code. I am not familar with Cottonwood so I am wondering if you ordered the right client from Chico for the exercises you want to use. Please give me more information about what you are trying to do.
Basically the steps to get started are these:
1. Look through the curriculum in the UA Library under the discipline that you want to teach to find materials that pertain to your class.
2. Given the curriculum materials you have chosen, find the dataset or client to request for that curriculum (this is in the top part of the description for the curriculum materials),. So for example, to use the AIS course materials you are going to request the AIS client on an ERP 6.04 system (also available in the product drop down list at the hosting center when you order clients).
3. Once you order the client you'll be given the system information which you need to add to the SAPGUI if the client is not already there, along with the user IDs for your students. The user IDs are only valid for the system information you got from Chico. (Instructions for how to add a system to the installed SAPGUI are available on the UCCSS hosting site under the download for the SAPGUI under customer tab -- or you can request help from one of the technical staff.)
4. Once you add the system information in the SAPGUI you can then log into the system using a user ID you got from the hosting center. The compnay code is normally a defaulted item in the dataset that you ordered.
5. Now you are ready to do the exercises by following the instructions in the curriculum
