PM : Does PM support multiple Class types for Equipment classification

Hi,
Do Plant maintenance support multiple class types for the classification for the equipments.
Our Customer has created his own class type other than 002(Equipment) for the classification and wants to know weather PM supports such class types or not.

i think you can use the your own class type provided you have done all the settings related to the standard class type 002,also if you have create your class type your standard class type will be changed to either the newly created one or 002 based on settings made by you

I would like to ask where in configuration can I setup Classification so that for each Material Master it can have Multiple Class Type. (such as 001 - Material Class, 023 - Batch, 300 - Variants). Because currently I can only see 023 - Batch whenever I create a new Material Master.

Check the configuration, have you maintained default class type for material type.
Logistic General> Material Master> Basic Setting> Material Type> Define attributes of Material Types>Select the material type> Double click on material type--> Class type

Multiple class types for material master classification display default.

Hello,
We are running on R/3 4.7. We use several different class types for our material masters (001 and Z01). The problem this creates is the end user having to constantly tell the system which class type to use when going to the classification screen for different materials with different class types. If a user views one material's classification page with a particular class type (001) then looks at another material with a different class type (Z01) the system tries to pull in information from the last materials class type (001). The system tells the user there are no assignments for the class (001) in the material their viewing but there is one for class type (Z01). The user then has to select the class type that applies to the material master their trying to view. Is there a way for the system to automatically see when a material has only one class type assigned to it for it to automatically default it in without the user having to specify the class type?

UWL - System doesnt support multiple tasks assignment for the same assignee

Hi all,
we have some tasks coming from our back- end system. When a certain task needs to be substituted to a colleague, no problem ... for one task. When we wish to assign him a second task, we get following message :

Is substitution only limited to one task per person? What would be a workaround? It's possible to create for each combination of tasks a definition in the back- end which is available from the substition drop down list, but this is not what our customer would like to see.

Why java does not support multiple inheritance ???

The reasons for omitting multiple inheritance from the Java language mostly stem from the "simple, object oriented, and familiar" goal.
To understand multiple inheritance, the learner needs some level of expertise like virtual derivations etc in c++. Multiple inheritance will allow method duplication, and throws the learner into confusion which method might be called by the compiler in which scenario at run time.
Even though this answer seems to be funny, this is the actual reason why java omitted multiple inheritance of classes.
But java support multiple inheritance of interfaces. Multiple interface inheritance allows an object to inherit many different method signatures with the caveat that the inheriting object must implement those inherited methods.

How specifically to implement this depends on how you are querying Endeca. With a simple URL parameter query using the UrlENEQuery object you would set the parameter of Ntx=mode+matchany, and if you were using the ENEQuery class you would set it like:

Time Machine is capable of backing up to multiple locations, and can be used to back up to both a local hard drive and a networked drive (provided that that drive is in or connected to a Time Capsule or another Mac that is sharing it over the network). The catch, though, is that you can't specify different things to back up to different destinations. Whatever you exclude from Time Machine backups is excluded from ALL backups, and whatever is included is included on all.
So, get a large enough drive that you can back up everything you want in all locations, or use something else for maintaining the network backup.

Is it possible to maintain two class type for a material

Dear All,
Is it possible to maintain two different class type for a material.
If a material assigned with the batch and the material is a part of variant configuration, then how to handle this scenario.
For Batch Management, class type will be 023, for Variant Configuration class type will be 200.
How to handle this scenario.
Please explain.

As far as my knowledge, it does NOT make sense to assign a material to more than one class type.
We can assign many classes to a single class type of a material.
For configurable material, create the material using material type : KMAT.
& then, activate the 'batch management" control in the material master, for that material.

JDBC/RMI driver does not support BLOB data type

WLS 5.1 JDBC/RMI driver does not support BLOB data type. It is said in the Weblogic e-doc.
I am using DataSource for database connections, meaning JDBC/RMI driver is actually producing
database connections. I need several columns of BLOB types in my Oracle tables.
Should I use the "JTS" driver instead in order to have the BLOB types supported ?

The error java.rmi.UnmarshalException seems to indicate you are somehow accessing the data-source over RMI, this seems odd. Are you running TopLink on a client and trying to connect to a WebLogic DataSource on the server?
Maybe try connecting directly to the DataSource without going through TopLink and see if you encounter the same issue.
You could also look at the TopLink WebLogic Examples and see how their configuration is different than your own.

Multiple movement types for reservation

Dear experts ,
Is it possible to give multiple movement types for issue against reservations? if possible what should be the setting in "Define Movement Types for Material Reservations"
We are trying to issue materials against reservation to different GL accounts based on different movement types.

I think you can have different movement types for GI against an Maintenance Order.
Please check as per the following scenario
Material A with valuation class "400"
material B with valuation class "300"
Now in automatic account determination you define
movement type "990" for valuation class "400" incase of good issue
movement type "890" for valuation class "300" incase of good issue
Now whenever material A is issued it will be mvt type 900 & for material B issue 890.

Multiple output types for particular otputtypes

Hi Friends,
I done one PO .its pre printed. its working fine..
i want to do Ammendement PO(price change or quntity change) .its preprinted and format is completely differnt from actual PO.for that i have to create one more out put type . i created two output types. But same PO transactions.
i have to attach these 2 out puttypes for me21n, or me22n,or me23n..
ok.. my problem is if iam doing price change i have to get the automatic second output type triggerand get the second form.. How its going for second out put type..
Any process is there.. or any extracode we have to write.. please suggest.. inthat where and what kind of code we have to write ..
or settings we have to do..

It is possible to create miltiple idocs for the So. Just you need to do is to Create multiple message types for the same idoc type. Then based on what ever it might be as plant, company code etc and Message type, you can diffirentiate Idoc and generate.

VB6 NI-USB-9237 DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan selected physical channel does not support the measurement type required

I have a VB6 program with code that properly reads analog inputs from an NI-USB-6008.
I tried to re-use the code for a strain-gage module NI-USB-9237, but at the DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan step I get the following error:
"Measurements: Selected physical channel does not support the measurement type required by the virtual channel you are creating.
Create a channel of a measurement type that is supported by the physical channel, or select a physical channel that supports the measurement type."
Should I be calling a function other than DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan?
If so, what is it, or where can I find the reference for such functions?
Or - if that is the right function, should I pass different arguments? Currently I'm calling:
DAQmxErrChk DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan(taskHandle, "Dev1/ai1", "", DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default, -10, 10, DAQmx_Val_VoltageUnits1_Volts, "")

First, the correct function is DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChanWithExcit
Second, you can't just ask for one sample on one channel - ask for 2 samples instead.

Hi,
There can be multiple class types assigned to a material. You can view this in the classification tab in the material master transaction.
You can pass the MATNR to OBJEK field of KSSK table after using neccessary converison Exit to get KLART(Class Type). It will return you a 3 digit Class type. You can find the description of the class from the class type master table TCLA.

Hi gurus,
I have a problem with calling EJBs from a 11.1.1.3 composite. The following summarizes the issue:
- there are several EJBs within the same package deployed on a WLS server.
- these beans have method names that are the same, for example create(), delete() etc.
- using the EJB Service Adapter I have created 3 References, one for each of the 3 beans I need to invoke in a BPEL process.
- each bean is imported into the project with their own *.wsdl *Ref.wsdl files.
- each wsdl imports a namespace based on the java package name
- now i have 3 wsdls, importing the same namespace and namespace conflicts arise.
At this point I'm thinking, 'no problem, just change the namespaces manually'
- whenever i try to change the namespace that JDev gives the Reference components I end up with the compilation error:
Source port type for "BPELProcess" does not match target port type for "EJBRef"
It seems that the namespace must be the same as the package name, even though I resolved all the references to the new namespaces and ensure they all match.
The problem appears to be in the BPELProcess.componentType file.
