PM Notification archiving -clarification -reg
HI,
While planning for PM notifications archiving , io the preprocessing step of the tcode SARA , we dont find any reference date .
We need to archive notification which are changed before two years
we can take the details from QMEL like table and input in SARA , but going forward we need to schedule back ground jobs for the notifications archiving
do we need to do customization soem where to get the option of date here in the preprocessing stpe ?
now we have only
notification type
notification number
equipment
functional location
where as in the case of PM orders (object :PM_ORDER) we have the DLFl date or change date as reference
pl suggest
regards,
Madhu Kiran
Hi,
For PM Orders and Notifications two flags need to be set: deletion flag and deletion indicator.
For PM Order, the pre-processing variant can set both: deletion flag and deletion indicator.
For PM Notification, the pre-processing variant can only set the second one: deletion indicator. Hence, you can either manually set the deletion flag or create a custom program to set this deletion flag for you. Then SAP will analyse (in the pre-processing program), those notifications flagged for deletion and set the deletion indicator if possible.
After this, the write archiving program will pick up those notifications with deletion indicator set and archive them.
Hope this makes sense now.

Hi All,
When I try to retrieve the archived documents i am not able to view customer name and number in the report. This is an issue raised by the user. Kindly advice me in this regard.
Regards,
P.Krishna ChaitanyaHi Jorge,
I think your problem may be coming here kindly check this scenario
Execute transaction code FSE2 and select the "Financial Statement Version" used in reporting for the report in transaction code KE30 and then execute.
2. Open up the P&L hierarchy until you get to the Sales section. Click on the change icon and add the unassigned GROUPS SALES G/L account number to under the Sales of Goods hierarchy. Save your entries.
Go back and execute transaction code KE30, GROUPS SALES should no longer be under "Unassigned".
Hope this helps you

Notification type -change -reg
Hi,
Can the notification types in the already created notifications changed ?
example : one notification is created with notification type M1 instead of M2
Can it be changed
Normally it will not be i think , in ECC6.0 any of thsi functionality available ?
regards
madhu kiranHi,
You can only change notification type of a general notification, that is a notification of category 05 (this rules out changing M1 to M2). The customizing must allow notification change - see customizing under 'Overview of Notification Type'. The notification must still have status outstanding for the change to be allowed.
The exit QQMA0029 is provided to allow some further control during the notification change procedure, it does not assist in making the feature available.

Clarification reg Domain Controller IP address change
Hi,
We are running on Windows MSCS Cluster (Primary / Secondary) for ECC Server.
The MSCS Cluster environment of ECC Server is a member of a Domain Controller.
We are planning to replace the Domain Controller, nevertheless all the settings / user names will remain the same.
The only thing will be changed is the IP Address.
For changing the IP address, we are planning to change the DNS and WINS IP address of the ECC Server accordingly.
Hence needs clarification on the following 2 points:
1. Is OS / SAP System Restart Required ??
For changing the DNS and WINS IP address of ECC Server,
whether the OS / SAP system has to be restarted ?
2. Effect on SAP System / Setting Change required on SAP
We would like to know whether there will be any issues with regard to SAP System Operation.
Especially we would like to know whether any setting changes needs to be done in the SAP System also.
Best Regards
Raghunahth LHi Anil,
Thanks for your reply.
That clears all my doubts.
Thanks to Eric and to you for spending your valuable time.

Clarifications reg B1iSN2007 and B1 2007B
Hi All,
I am new to B1, as we installed B1iSN2007 and B1 2007 B . I want to know the following
1. After installation what are the testing needs to be done by a developer?
2. How to Connect B1 and XI, R/3, BW using B1i?
3. Step by Step guide for configuration and developments in B1 and B1i.
I searched in forum but not able to get a document with clear idea.
I hope some one can help me in the above issues.
Regards,
PrakashPrakash,
Did your B1i platform is built-in installed during B1 installation? If so,
1.you need to uninstall SAP Business One Integration Platform from control center.
2.And download B1i Platfrom and B1iSN throug the following link. After you download, you will find the installation guide in the CD folder and how to config B1iSN step by step in the folder <<ContentDocumentationEN>>
1. If you are an SAP Business One Partner go to the Software Distribution Center on the Channel Partner Portal Choose: SAP Business One Products -> Installations -> SAP Business One 2007 -> SAP B1 2007 Integration for NW -> Installation -> Downloads
2. If you are an SAP Customer go to the [Software Distribution Center on the SAP Service Market Place|https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/swdc]
Choose: Download -> Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Business One -> SAP Business One 2007 -> SAP B1 2007 Integration for NW -> Installation -> Downloads

Hi all,
Can any one clarify me the following queries.
1. Employee claims: In case of employee claims workflows have to be enabled to send email messages to employees to indicate that their claims, and amount passed and amount paid and advance adjusted
2. How to give special GL's in Cash journal FBCJ? As of now, it is not available/activated?
3. How withholding tax is paid to the Government? Is it through GL account or
creation of Government vendor account? If it is through Govt vendor account
how to transfer the Withholding tax payable to Government vendor account?
Is it manually done or automatic?
4.Here the client is asking for making payment through cheque to alternate person other than
the original vendor account. They dont want alternate payee or permitted payee option where
we have to create alternate person as vendor master record. Even they dont want an end user
to select the alternate person at document entry level. How to do it?

cmsHi Raghu,
Thanks for the Quick reply.
In fact, we can change the color and also the SAP logo by applying themes also.
My Question is, Is it possible to change the position of the welcome area in a portal page?
for ex : Can we remove it from the masthead iView and put it in Detailed Navigation area? It may require downloading the par file and making changes in NWDS.
can anyone give me clarification reg this?
Thank You.

Help Required IN Business Process Monitoring?
Hi,
i have few clarifications reg BPM in solution Mangager
1.What is monitored in BPM,Business Process interfaces or the business Process data( at does t monitors at data level)?
2.if interfaces are monitored in Solman BPM,how different it is from Netweaver Business process management.?
3.if possible can anyone brief out what XI process monitoring is and how is it different from SOLMAN BPM?
helpful answers rewareded
rgds,
rajeshHello Rajesh,
please refer to https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Library --> Customer Information --> "Business Process & Interface Monitoring - Part 2" to get a comprehensiver overview about what is available out-of-the-box for BPMon in SolMan.
BPMon in SolMan and BPM in Netweaver adress different target groups and can be seen a complementary functionalities.
BPMon in SolMan is primarily targeting at the 2nd level application support and should ensure a stable and smooth processing of Business Processes from a technical as well as application perspective. The processes have a granularity down on transaction or background job level.
Technical monitoring could be average response time of a transaction or a job cancellation.
Application monitoirng is providing about the throughput numbers of documents like sales orders, deliveries or backlog figures indicating that there are erronuous documents or documents that need manual intervention. Looking at this last aspect it is clear that a second target group is key players on business unit side, like sales reposnibles, plant owners etc.
On interface side you can monitor IDocs, qRFCs, Batch Input session for certain statuses, check if files arrived or do some XI messaged based alerting.
BPM in Netweaver is a technical layer deeper and based especially on XI/PI. So this is an integration engine itself. When you look at the capabilities of XI/PI where you can split or correlate messages with ccBPM this is related to so called integration processes which could be a more detailed sub-process from what is looked at BPMon in SolMan. Other aspects that BPM in Netweaver is supports is Business Activity Monitoring BAM which cannot easily explained with a few sentences. But here the target groups with BAM are either real business end-users or C-level management for business efficiency analysis.
Hope this answer could clarify a few things.

I have tried reinstalling/reconfiguring but nothing is working. When I start the service, I get the message - The Oracle EPMA Server service on local computer started and stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs. I have also checked the windows event log but it didn't give me any clue.
Any suggestions.I also see below errors in registry.log

What is requirement pointer?
Hi all
In PBIM table there is one field i.e. requirement pointer, what is that require pointer, how it will be used, is there any relation with material Number or requirement quantity
Tanku2019s in advance
KranthiKranti,
1. You have mentioned about the table PBIM
*This table gives you information about the Independent Requirements for Material / Plant combination.
*But it doesnot have much detail information.
*If you take a detail analyse in this there will be one entry for unique comibation of the material, plant, reqmts type adn requirment version.
2.Even though you would have maitained entries for a material M @ Plant P for each month ..Ex: 01/2008 to 12/2008
3.In this case if you need more details of the each entries then they will be missing in the PBIM.
4. If you need to get more details then you have to enter the Reqquirement pointer in the Table PBED-(Independent Requirements Data)
5.IN this table this Requirements pointer is the main key figure..
Kindly let me know if the above information is useful for you ..
let me know if you have any clarification.

Dear friends,
Sponge Iron is produced using furnace continiously, here RM (Iron ore , coal etc ) feeding is also continious. Continious means raw materials are charged using conveyar belt round the clock.
I think, this is Repetative mfg.
Am I right?Check the following
1.Is the material not changed in the workcentre for longer duration.
2.How do they want to collect the cost, cosumption of RM etc..
-Do they want any Production order
-Or do they want to collect at material level
3.How to plan they capacity
4.How many type of materials do they produce typically in day/week/month.
So like this collect all the businessscenarions to validate and confirm what type of production scenario to be mapped.
let us know if you need more clarification

Dear all
ours is planning with final assy(stratagy is 40)
while creating PIR through md61, what is the consumption indicator to be used 1 or 2 or 3
what is the difference
in our case it is taking bydafault it is taking 1 (consume only with customer requirements)
when can we use forecasting in MD61
In addl data what is the use of acct assignment categoryq1.Consumption indicator :
*The consumption indicator controls which requirements (customer requirements, for example) are used to consume planned independent requirements
*.This consumption indicator is only dispalyed int he md63 screen - this is displayed as per the configuration set up for the strategy.
q2:account assignment category
*The account assignment category determines which account assignment data (such as cost center, account number and so on) is necessary for the item.
*Let us say if we are working with a MTO configurable material then we will have a sales order as the account assighnment category.
revert back for clarification.
