i want to print only  one shop paper no. 541 may i know how to do  this for user specific setting.
Regards,
Kavvya.

Hi,
In IW31, you have the option to select the shop papers based on your requirement. Even in IW38, you may select the shop papers, but its not feasible for the users to select for each & every order.
Its better to go with IMG settings.

  • Default printer in purchase order

    Hi Experts,
I have defined one default printer in the message output condition (MN04). When i create purchase order and go to the message type, i can see this default printer there.
But in case i am creating new message in the purchase order, default printer is not appearing. Even i tried to assign default printer in user profile (SU3), but still in communication method, there is not any printer appearing while creating new message manually.
    Regards,
    Kamal

    hi
as u can define the outputs in MN04 from here the printer will be defaulted for that message type
but when u add new message type in PO then u have to define the printer manually ,it will not poopup directly
so either create output manually or just repeate it by clicking repeate output button
or consult ur BASIS person if they have some settings

Try checking NACE transaction, for your output type the default printer assigned (in communication method). And also check defaults tab in user record in SU01 tcode.

    Hi,
I am not sure but are you trying to print shop papers at default printer specified in config.First thing is are orders released,I presume they are released hence you are getting message.
Next thing is check config as below:
Application area - O for maint orders
Planning plant -  * or define your plant
Planner group - * or same as above
Shop paper - Define shop paper or *
Output device - LOCL or your device property...It is advised to put LOCL as different users can ahave different printers.
Storage mode -1 for printing only
then select print immediately and delete after output.
After this in your master(SU01) define output device as LOCL and this will pick up your default printer of your desktop or working station as configured in windows.
Also check if right shopapers you have assigned to order type, you can confirm them if you see in print preview.

  • OS 10.7 won't let me set my default printer

When I go to print, in most programs, it always selects the first lists the first printer in alphabetical order. I set default printer to Last Printer Used and it still brings up the first in line alphabetically. I tried setting default printer to Last Used. Closed the preferences and when I reopen the preferences window, it's been reverted back to Last Printer Used. I even tried clicking the lock to lock the settings, but it still reverts back. It's driving me crazy. The printer that always comes up is a wide format and I have come close to printing emails to it instead of the black and white laser printer.

  • Default printer resets at each reboot after installing Acrobat X Pro

I installed Acrobat X Pro yesterday, and updated it after the install to version 10.1.4.  Since that time my default printer has been reset after each computer reboot to the first physical printer on my printers list - an HP 5900 series.  I want my default printer to be my HP 6940, which is local, connected by USB, and have gone into Start/Printers and Faxes on my Windows XP Professional machine to do this.  But each time I reboot, the default is switched back to the HP 5900.  The printers have been installed on my machine for years with no issues, and I had Acrobat 9 Professional on my machine until yesterday - with no issues.  I tried live chat for help, but the representative told my it was a physical printer issue and I needed to contact HP.  Can you help me stop my computer from resetting the default printer each time it is shut down?
The order of printers listed on my machine:

  • Setting new Default print settings

I have a HP Photosmart 7525 All-In-One... I would like to know how to set my printer "Default Settings" to 'Fastdraft-Black and White'... I'm using Mac OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite... Help!

    Hi,
Follow the steps below in order to print using Black Ink only:
    1. From the application used to print, click the File menu and select Print.
    The Print window appears.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized: Click the Show Details button to see all available settings.
    2. To access the color options, click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
    3. Select Paper Type/Quality from the drop-down menu.
    4. Click the triangle next to Color Options to expend the settings.
    5. Set the Color field as Grayscale.
    6. Set the Grayscale Mode as Black Ink Cartridge Only and reduce the print quality.
You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset... any used preset will remain default till using another preset.

  • Windows Default Printer to be picked automatically

    Hi All,
My Client requirement is to have the Window's default printer to be used as the default printer to print the SAP documents (PO).
User insists not to change the SU3 default printer and want to leave it blank and want the printer assigned to system/machine to be considered as default printer. How can we meet this requirement?
    Thanks in Advance
    Shash

    How did you test.
I usually test with printing a stock overview of a material from MMBE.
Purchase order printing is a kind different, as this is usually done via message conditions, but it can be setup to work with printer from user profile.
LOCL printer has to be defined by your basis team in transaction SPAD, and the link to the frontend printer is made there.

  • Default printer on domain computers changes when print spooler is restarted

    Hi.
It has been brought to my attention that all of my Windows 8.1 machines on our domain change their network default printers when the print spooler is restarted.  Printers are being assigned by group policy, using the print management tool, as Branch
    Office Direct IP printers.
A little bit of research indicates that the default printer is changing "BY DESIGN!!!???" to the last printer being assigned in the OU.  Gotta say....if this is by design, it's a bad design!  As well as unacceptable.  Then I discover
that the default printer precedence is something like 1. Locally installed printers, 2. Software installed printers, 3. Network printers in reverse order that they are assigned in the OU.  COME ON!!  I.e., changing the order of assignment in the
OU is useless because local printers and software installed printers are still taking precedence, and on every log in the users default printers are being changed to something as useless as WebEx Document Loader.
I know this is a radical thought.....but how about if the default printer stays set to whatever the user sets it to??  That way, they won't hate me and curse me.  Selfish, I know.
I am shocked by the lack of information that I am finding for this simple and sensible option, and am accordingly loosing faith in Microsoft by the day, and beginning to feel that the end really is nigh for this platform, because I seriously don't appreciate
absorbing hostility that is better directed at them, and self-preservation instincts do eventually kick in.
Can somebody tell me how to prevent user selected default network printers on domain computer's from changing when the users log off, before the lynch mob gets here?
To be clear, these are domain computers.  Users are not administrators.  Printer assignments are made via group policy.  Users do not wear glass slippers (so solutions requiring manipulation of special footwear will not be effective).
    THANKS

    Hi,
Please refer to this similar thread Althornin's solution to add the registry to see if it could be fixed.
Go and edit the users registry hive:
    HKEY_USERS\USERS_SID_HERE\Printers\Connections
Found old printer connections there that were no longer valid.  Upon clearing those out, after a reboot, the problem went away.
I also cleared out the HKEY_USERS\USERS_SID_HERE\Printers\Settings key - the users had old printer setting sid there also.

  • How to setup default print to landscape in Reportviewer (printmode activex)

We have an ASP.NET (2008) application and use the ReportViewer Web Control to show a Crystal Report on the client browser.
       - We set the "PrintMode" property to ActiveX in order to print to the client's local printer.
       - We set up the Landscape in Crystal Report Page setup.
       - We also put  repdoc.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Landscape in the program.
The problem is when the user clicks the print icon, the report prints in portrait, not landscape.
Is there a solution for this or is this a software limitation?
    Thanks.

How to setup default print to landscape in Reportviewer (printmode activex)
    Hi David,
Yes, I tried that 1196969 solution first, but it didn't work.  I saw all the discussion in the below thread and it seems a product issue mention by you on Aug 6, 2008 3:19 PM
CrystalReportViewer default PageOrientation  ASP.NET VS 2008
I don't know if the fix works for CrystalReportWebFormViewer4 which is what we have on the web server. I put debug alert in the Javascript of the following file
    WindowsMicrosoft.NETv2.0.50727ASP.NETClientFilesCrystalReportWebFormViewer4crystalprinthost.html
I can see the call goes to the file, but won't get to the window.dialogArguments.paperorientation condition.
When I write out: window.dialogArguments.paperorientation; it pops up "undefined".
Is there any updated solution for CrystalReportWebFormViewer4?
    Thank you!!

  • Default printer in classic environment

After upgrading to 10.4.4 the default printer in Classic is changed to the default printer in OSX.
If I want to print from a Classic application the first time before the print dialog is displayed I get an error message stating that apple events are not supported or that desktop printing is not installed. In the printer dialog that shows up my appletalk printer with the name I have given the printer in OSX is shown and when I select the os9 name printing is fine until classic restarts.
How can I select the default printer from wihtin Classic?

Guys, this should be a software problem with the system, so we should expect it would happen with all printers, with a Brother printer and also with a LaserWriter Pro (10+ years old!) but assuming that Cube does have identical symptoms to Erik there are at least two things going on here.
What it defaults to should be quite separate from those errors for AppleEvents and desktop printing software 2.0. Those seem to be about whether something is configured corrctly, not about what's selected.
If this is always solved by reselecting the correct printer, I'd grin and bare it.
However, with no other symptoms, those errors suggeset a mismatch or misconfiguration.
Some printers are much more fussy than they should be about the version of LaserWriter, and of auxilliary printing Extensions certainly including PrintingLib. The natural assumption is that the latest version will cover everything, but I've met printers which required downgrades…
Although I haven't seen this recently, for early Classic some printers needed their 9 drivers installing once while booted in pure 9, then again while running Classic over X - and if that's your case I hope your Macs are old enough to boot in pure 9.
With or without that, it may simply matter which order 9 and X drivers are installed in.
Again, are you using third-party RIP software? I don't know that desktop printing software 2.0 refers to anything from Apple and some time ago there was a spate of reports by people using a third-party utility with a name too like that to ignore, which no-one could find anywhere on the web but which turned out to refer to a third-party RIP that did work with 9 but never with Classic.
Meanwhile my Classic 9.2.2 over 10.4.4 on my G4 DP 1K defaults to the X printer but so does Classic 9.2.2 over 10.4.3 on my Titanium lappie, which seems to indicate this is not a 10.4.4 thing though I don't remember how the G4 behaved on 10.4.3 (and if I'd seen Cube's message one minute later, I would already have started the 10.4.4 updater running on the lappie. Phew!)
I very much doubt that can be solved: I suspect it's a design fault in the way Classic and X communicate and in my case I change printers so often that again, checking Chooser one extra time is hardly noticable.

  • Colour management and ordering Aperture prints

I have recently ordered some prints in Aperture. When they arrived the colours were not exactly true to the original picture on the screen.
The monitor was calibrated before ordering prints, but I wonder if there is anything else I need to do to improve the quality.
Should I be using gamma 1.8 or 2.2? Any tips on soft proofing the photos before I order them would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Adrian

My experience with the build-in ordering system of Aperture has not been very positive. I have stopped using it. My last set came out with too high a contrast and was over-sharpened. A previous order had noticeably different color for the same photo printed in two different sizes (and different again from my calibrated screen).
Depending on the country your living in, different labs will be used, so experiences will differ. I have got my prints from the Netherlands, although I do not live in the Netherlands directly.
I have since switched to a much more expensive local lab, color is much closer to what my screen shows. Matching general impression of brightness and contrast is still not perfect though.
It usually is best to use a gamma of 2.2, if only because once you leave a color managed world (eg, your photos are displayed on any other web browser than Safari, or vice versa, you view images with Firefox) the default assumption is almost always a gamma of 2.2.
One 'problem' with most cheapish labs is that they often apply some sort of automatic correction which can easily negatively affect your photos.
One indicator for a good lab is that they are offering ICC profiles.
