PM Querry regarding old materials

hi everybody
i have a querry regarding how old items are handled in PM . example in our old company we use to maintain a scrap ledger where we use to account our old items (materials/complete eqpts while replacing with new eqpts) etc we use to take into account as iron/copper/brass scrap etc and once they reach a certain level in scrap store we use to go for auction.
How is this part handled in PM?

I would recommend Create a New material Type , Once the Item becomes old Transfer all the Inventory to new material type. This way you can manage the Inventory for both the new and old and new materials.Once your old materials reaches certain Inventory , that material can be sold of and the revenues can be credited to Inventory.

1. Plz explain wether Calibration is carried on all type of equipments or only on calibration equipments (weighing machines)?
2. What are the conditions for maintaining performance based warranty counters?
3. How do we capture warranty of sapres which are used in maintenance activities?

calibrating the equipment is done mainly which is used for measuring some values and also it depends on the client requirments
For performance based warraty counters you have to create the characteristic and assign to the measurng point and mark it has counter, then you have to assign these counter in the IMG activity which will only be displayed while creating warratty

Urgent Querry regarding SRM to R/3 PO Creation

Hi All,
I have one requirement where in PO is created in SRM (using Extended Classic Scenario) and the same PO is reflected in R/3 thru RFC.
My requirement is related to pricing i have maintained a condition record for a condition type for eg : ZBRK is the condition type. In R/3 for condition type ZBRK i have maintained condition record. I need to populate the condition record when PO from SRM gets created in R/3.
Is it possible?

You can try to use BBPECS_PO_OUT_BADI to transfer this condition type to ECC.However, please check that the condition type from SRM do not apply again in ECC else your original price will be recalculated twice both in SRM and ECC..._
Using VMC cache when you modify the PO price schema.

My scenario is ECC6.0->XI 7.0->SNC 7.0
I Have downloaded SNC 7.0 (XI CONTENT SCM) content, But i am bit confused because of to option available at Service marketplace for SNC content: (complete path:service.sap.com->Support Packages and Patches - >Entry by Application Group" SAP Content" ESR Content (XI Content)"->XI CONTENT SCM->SNC 7.0)

hI,
For the standard functionality you can use T code OOCU,
Here you 'Enable the link' which u want to be activated for Work flow management E.g Notification Creation.
If U want to assign a particular User - The only person who can receive the created notification, u can assign it in 'Assign Agent' tab.Else U can select 'General Use' tab so that it will go to all the Users.
Hope this is ur need, But if u want to extend ur Use, then u might need to deal with ' Work Flow Management' Expert.

2.what is the difference between revision and task lists.

hi pushpa
first you have to create the service using AC03 and assing this service to Model serive spec in ML10 and specify this category as INST (plant maintenance), then you create the order and specify the control key which allowes the service, select the operation and in the operation tab in the bottom area you can find the service package and specify the model service spec. you created so the predefined services will be copied to the order.
Model service spec is used where you know the service provided perviously and the work is carried out frequently so that the process will be made easier,
Revision
Generally revision is used during any long stoppages or planned shut down only, so that they can able to track the orders created, amounts settled etc,
you can create revision in OIOB
Task list
Task list also used where you perform a repeated operation in frequent manner so that data entering during creation of order will be less, you plan your activity,materials , person required everything in task list and assing this task list to the order while creation, you can also use this for maintenance planning.

Querry regarding Roles in SRM

Hi Experts,
Can anyone tell me the creation of roles in SRM.
Currently we have role called Z_EBP_OPERA_PURCH_10000
which means the spend limit of that role is 10000 euros. This way we have multiple roles for different spend limits.
Now I have to create a new role with spending limit of 30000 euros. In this case can I copy the existing role i.e from the above one and name it as Z_EBP_OPERA_PURCH_30000. will this is going to work?
Or additionally do I have to do anything other settings in the system so that the new role works for 30000.
2 .Also creation of any new role is Job of whom SRM Functional consultant or will it be a job of Security and Administartion team.
Because what I feel is SRM functional consultant can only assign the roles which are there available in the search list and new roles has to be created by a S&A am I rt?
Please suggest me on the above 2 queries

Hi Sai,
1. The creation of the role should work, but don't forget to change the spending limit in the role.
2. The depends on the internal functionning. this is different for every project. Your analyse is not wrong but you should ask this question to some project managers.

Querry regarding Info Structure

Dear All,
I have created a Info structure by copying S070 info structure. I have created an update rule and activated the updating also, but when i use this info structure in MCI7 (Info system) no data is displayed in that screen. Only ' 0 ' is displayed in all the fields.
I am not able to understand where am i going wrong, I would request you to please help me solve the above issue.
If possible please reply with detail procedure of creating new Info Structure.

Characterstics used as criteria according to which the data record is selected in info structure, in this case you can add new characterstics for searching creteria, but it is not recomanded to delete the old one as this is only searching creteria. yes you need to re-generate the info structure after every updates.

I creating an order and release it and done MIGO as well. but in order the operation is not completed and i have to mention the reason for incopmletion for that operation .How can i assign that in order operation before IW41 - Individual Time Confirmation .how can i see in the report or system.i know der is indicator in IW41 - Individual Time Confirmation as No remaining work bt how can i know in the order itself it will reflect the causes for delay in operation or remaining work.and also i have to mention manualy as text dat reason for remaining work

Dear kola
U can go for oil analyis 3 ways is possible. u sud decide which is better accord 2 client req.
Oil analyis also one of condition monitoring like vibration analysis.
1. Prev Mtc- Thro Staratagy u can go
2. Calibration - Decide the MIC and go for inspection point testing
3. Condition monitoring Mtc-- Maintain the range at Meas point. If not in limit set the configuration as mtc order creation.
Go for analyse with ur self and do it.

I think standard setting does not permit individual operation release. However using user status you may be able to achieve individual operation release.
