PM:Task list Component addition

Hello Guys,
We are facing below issue.
1. In task list component screen, if we add a component via Direct entry, system create Standard BOM.
2. If we add the component via component selection from BOM, it creates the material BOM.
The second method is preferable as changes in BOM is reflected in task list as the link is maintained. This is not an issue if we are creating task list manually as we can select the component manually. But however, if we create task list via LSMW or load program, the issue arises.
When contacted SAP on OSS, SAP advised to use BADI IMRM_COMP_PROCESSING, method SET_COMP_PROCESSING with
E_CORRECTION_ACTIVE = ' '. This seems to resolve the issue. But I am not sure of the side effects.
Has any one implemented this BADI earlier and can share the experience?

hi,
U can assign material BOM in Tasklist header... there is a Assembly field... just enter the name of Material BOM. and Material BOM would be attatched to task list.
it will solve ur problem

General task list: component selection from BOM - possible in batch input?

Hi experts,
for the assignment of non-stock material to general task lists I have followed the advice from message[6115684|Re: General Task List Components;.
So what I have done is:
- Include non-stock material in BOM
- Assign BOM to general task list header
When clicking on the "Component selection" button in the task list components, I can select a component.
When entering the material number of the component directly though, I get an error: "Material type X and line item type L not compatible" (CO135).
I would like to upload the general task lists with a batch input recording, but I can't figure out how to select components.
Any thoughts?

We have the same requirement to load tasklists (change & create). We are using the function modules EAM_TASKLIST_CREATE and EAM_TASKLIST_CHANGE. However, i cannot get a non-stock BOM item to process. Has anyone got this working?

EDIT: Found the answer - simply fill in the fields for BOM on the component (STLTY, STLNR, STLKN, and STLAL).

Task list component...

Client wants to see task lists that have components on them and what the components are. Could any on please help me to get the Task list. Any pointer from any side will help me a lot. Thanks in Advance.

Non-stock material assignment in task list

Can I assign non-stock materials in task list????

Rajat,
You cannot directly assign a non stock material to the task list.But you can include the non stock material in the BOM for the assembly(In case of General task list) or Equipment /FL object BOM.Once its included you can then select these non stock items into the task list component screen.

Uploading Master Data for General Task List

Hi gurus,
I want to Upload General Task List through LSMW. It is displaying the Program name as IBIP instead of RIIBIP00 for the Object 0490.
How to overcome it and how to "Maintain the Structure Relation".
Help me out. Our's is ECC 6.0
I have to upload this one in our Client's place. Very urgent.

You should go ahead with IBIP.. Create ur struture in step 2 and step 3
then finally in step 4 SAP will provide following str.. just mapping structre u created in step 2 here to respective one .

          The target structure IBIPTLST must be selected.
     IBIPTEXT IBIP: Long text line
       IBIPTLOP IBIP: Task List Operation
         IBIPTEXT IBIP: Long text line

Add component in task list

Hello All,
I have an issue with adding component in task list (for example task list number EIMN-68) via transaction IA05.
When I try to add component to operation, I get the message *
Standard BOM PAEIMN-68 4 already exists
Message no. 29771
Diagnosis
You want to create a standard BOM for standard object PAEIMN-68 with usage .
A BOM already exists for this standard object and usage. You cannot extend a standard a standard BOM.
Procedure
Check whether the standard BOM is suitable for standard object PAEIMN-68 and usage . If it is not, you need to create the BOM for another standard object.
Is there any special way to create material master for such components.Whats the solution.

I want to add components.
Just now I was able to add components. I explain how:
When i added component number in operation, and press enter, system gave me the error that standard bom already exist. In the same screen I changed the BOM usage to 3 as universal usage. After this usage only, system allowed me to add components. No other bom usage allowed me to do so.
Also, why system took me to BOM screen if I just want to add components.
I wait for your reply.

Additional User Defined field in Maintenance Task List

I wan to add an additional field user field in Maintenance Task List.
I know It is possible in User Fields.
But I an not able added user field to Operations that are already there in the maintenance plan.
The system is allowing me to Add field in New Operations that I am adding the the Task List.

Hi,
If I am correct, It is not possible to add user fileds to the operations in the maintenance plan which was copied from the tasklist which is there in the maintenance plan.
if you required these user fileds goto to change mode in maintenance plan and remove the task list in plan and do necessary changes in the task list and add to plan again. After that you can get userfileds in the opeations as u required with was generated now onwards. It is not possible for the past ones.

Can someone explain to me the relation between standard BOM and component within a general task list ?

Pls find some of the points below for your referece
Standard BOM:
Can used for assigning the material from the BOM to Task list operation
That is, BOM components for the object (Equipment, Functional Location , Assembly) can be retrived and assigned to maintenance Task list of the operation
Condition: BOM corresponds exactly to the content of the structure list
Free Material Assignment:
Assigning Stock Material (Material number) those are not listed in the BOM of maintenance object directly to the maintenance task list
Condition: Setting to be done as BOM usage for Plant Maintenance (4)
Path: Maintenance plans, work centers, Tasl Lists and PRTs>>>>>Tasl Lists>>>>>Control Data>>>>Define Presetting for Free Assignment of Material-----BOM Usage as 4
Pls note that, while making free assignment, system creates an internal BOM and this can not be processed from application.

DB table holding the component materials in task list

Hi all,
I'd like to find out the relationship of the component materials inside a task list (IA07).
I've found DB table PLKO and PLPO holding the data for task and operations respectively. Inside an operation, there are components. I just can't find the DB table holding the components by F1 and where-used list ...
Any advice?

Mass component substitution in Task List

Hi Gurus,
I'have so many Task Lists, and total have hundreds of line operations.
But, now there material substitution. Let say, previously in Taks List using Material/Component "A", and now material "A" substituted become material/compenent "B".
How could we do change (mass change) to all Component in Task List that previously using "A" and than replaced by "B" and how about if there are unit of measure differences .
How do we do it ? Any T-Code to do this ?

The material will be replaced, with the follow up material, once there isnt sufficient quantity available to satisfy the demand from the reference date entered on the MRP screen.
However, it looks like this replacement of the follow up material only works if you manually enter the orginal material in the components tab or if you import the material from a BOM.This doesnt seem to work if the material is directly associated to the Task list(Even though this is also assigned a BOM number of Type "standard") . When you import the task list into the order, the Original material is not replaced with the Follow up material if there isnt sufficient stock available.This looks like a bug to me, you may want to consider raising a OSS note to see where that leads you, otherwise my apologize for misleading you. We had used the BOM and this worked perfectly for us,hence i was pretty sure this would work for materials assigend directly to task list(Since this also had a BOM number and type assigned to it).

Mass change of component in Task list

Hi Experts
I have thousands of material and there are changes done for them to use them in maintenance order task list as stock or nonstock.
The task is to change the item category (from L to N or from N to L) of those materials used as components in task list and also find out those materials in BOM , Equipment TL and FL TL and change the item category.
1.can this be done using a BDC (checking all task list / BOM for that material and change the item category)
2. table to check component assigned to which operation in task list.
Any help for this requirement

There is no standard transaction for the changing of components in the task lists this would have to be a bespoke program.
If you are looking to change the components allowcated to the Bills of Material you can use transaction CS20 where you can replace the exisitng component category N with the new component category L.
There is transactions for changing the PRT and Work Center if you get your ABAP consultant to have a look at the PRT transaction/program (transaction CA77) he may be able to copy and ammend this to make things a little easyer.

Component allocation to Euipment Task list

Hello frinds,
I have a query related to Plant Maintenence.
We have a euipment task list with different counters . In each counter we have operations and components assigned to those operations.
When order is created some of the operations are not getting copied and hence few components as well.
Please tell me tables where i can find the allocation of compoenents to operations.

The table i was looking for is PLMZ (allocation of components to operations)
I found that deletion indicator is set for certain operations in PLMZ and those components are not picked which are assigned to operations with deleltion indicator (LOKEZ-PLMZ).
Can any one tell me how this deletion indicator is set for component allocation to operations and how do i remove this ?

Routing-LSMW-Component Allocation to task list

Hi Gurus,
I'm creating LSMW to Routing using Standard-Batch Input method, have mapped the required structures.
But I was unable to map the Component allocation to task list.
Is it possible in the standard one else I need to go for some sort customisation.
Can anybody throw some lite on this issue ?

You will find BIPMZ Batch input structure for component allocation to task list in the standard structure relations (no customizing required). Use the same for your need.

SmartView Task List not opening FR report

I am trying to open FR report from a Task List task in SmartView (using Planning provider). If I am already logged into my Planning application in browser, the report opens. But if I am not logged (e.g., browser is closed), an empty page opens in browser, and at the bottom is status "Done" but with the error icon.
Is there a way (URL format) that would enable user to open report from SmartView Task List without having to log to Web client first?
Environment: EPM 11.1.2.3.500, FRS 11.1.2.3.503.0917, browser: IE 8, Excel: Office Professional Plus 2010

Celvin, Ramkumar, thanks for your suggestions. My colleague, Soumyajit, discovered that the original method (URL) needed to be replaced.
Here is the original URL we used (this one was opening report twice on first open, and didn't open report from SmartView unless user was already logged to Workspace):

Instead the right call is:

Using this other URL, the report:
- when open from the Tasks List, opens only once even the first time;
- opens in Workspace without additional login when opened from the Task List in SmartView
Note: We are using variant of OAM, maybe that has some impact to it. Not my area of expertise, though...

Strategy Plan with task list

Hi all,
can any one help me?
I create a strategy plan with one maintenance item and one task list, with one task list item, for example. After scheduling I get a maintenance order with two items. One item from the task list and one from the maintenance item and it´s necessary to confirm both order items.
It´s possible to create a maintenance order with only items from the task list?

Detlev,
The PM/CS Order operations should only come from the task list that is assigned to the maintenance item.
If you are getting additional operations than are on the task list then its possible that you have:
- a system bug
- developed some new functionality
