PMP vs C_PM_70

If one is to consider one of the project management courses, which one should it be? I think the PMP provides more of a general view - while SAP one is more technology/company specific. I am in favour of the pmp but i would like to get some opinions from gurus here

In SAP our project managers attain both PMP certification to understand the generic PM process and C_PM_70 to understand the context of managing SAP projects. The PMP covers the generic PM process as defined in PMBOK, the C_PM_70 covers the context of SAP implementation as defined in ASAP methodology including use of SAP tools like SAP Solution Manager.
The two certifications have different purpose and can not be directly compared. C_PM_70 does not replace PMP and vice versa - they are complementary certifications.

Hello Satish,
The C_PM_70 certification is specific to SAP implementation domain and built around ASAP and SAP Solution Manager (and also PMBOK for the PM work stream of ASAP). PMP is general Project Management certification based on PMI PMBOK.
The two are complementary certifications.

Performance Management: facing problem in appraisals through PMP

Hi,
I had published a PMP with an appraisal template which had objective template attached.
Objective setting tasks were correctly created, objectives were correctly added to each worker scorecard and approved.
Profile options for manager and worker appraisal menu are also set correctly.
PMP had appraisals included - and appraisal tasks have also been created in the system.
However, whenever I am trying to go through the appraisal task created by PMP - it is taking me to standard appraisals page - with no results. If I am trying to search - no results are obtained.
I'm confused what am I doing wrong / missing... will be grateful if someone could pls guide me.

Since your mass appraisal creation process was automatic, it might have errored out because of which you are not seeing any appraisal.
Check Action Parameter Group - Max Errors Allowed and set it to 100 or more.
This would result in the mass appraisal creation process proceeding with appraisal creation for the rest of the employees even if few errored out.
Check the CP log to see if there was error, sometimes it errors out because of appraisees in different BG.

Back to my mac NAT-PMP

What ports need to be enabled under NAT-PMP on a Westell (Netgear) 7550 router? I know that BTMM works because I've used it in two different locations. One in England and one in the USA. Can connect to router and set NAT-PMP but for the life of me cannot find detailed info on what settings should be.

I've configured the router as per
"Well known TCP and UDP ports used by Apple software products"
with the only question being which Port Number should be used for the LAN Port for UDP ports 49152-65535? Just picked a random port of 63333.
But still no joy on connecting. Remote computer is in UK. I'm trying to connect through AT&T in Florida.

Hi Raju
In Accounting you have to create your Position Management Procedure meaning all steps you Need for the valuation at month end. If this is done you have to assign the PMP to the the product category or the product type.

I'm glad you are planning your certification exam. The material codes listed in your mail are actual SAP training courses offered by SAP education. You should be able to find them in the local training catalogue in your country. The SMI210/SMI310 have been offered for several years and only have been updated to ASAP 7 level. The new course ASA380 has been rolled out last year as part of introducing the ASAP 7 to the market. It is ASAP in detail course walking throuhg all the phases of ASAP and focusing on specific deliverables of each work stream in the methodology. The remaining courses are standard SAP training courses that are recommended as preparation for exam (e.g. OCM, E2E, BPM).

Add "Further Participant" in PMP Appraisal Document

Dear experts,
I need to add "Further Participant" in PMP Appraisal Document but not directly/manually.
I am checking if there is any Function Module which I can use in Custom Report to add Further Participant to respective Appraisal Document.
I have tested FM "HRHAP_DOCUMENT_MODIFY" and passed the required input to it, however instead of adding given Further Participant to the document, this FM is deleting the particular document.
Any helpful suggestion would be highly regarded.

The PMP process (the predefined) is not really ment to behave this way, I am not even sure if it includes further participants.
So I just assume you use the flexible one instead, from a program flow logic it will be the same anyway.
What you need to do is:
- Get Appraisal
- Add Further Participant
- Save
- Dequeue
So, assuming you have all the appraisal id's already available. Loop over the appriasal ID's and for each one do
HRHAP_DOCUMENT_GET_DETAIL, make sure your in admin mode and you need to decide if you want this registered in teh action log. But make sure your in admin mode!
You need to capture ALL export fields, we need them later on.
One of the exlporting parameters is T_HEADER_OTHERS. Add to this your further participant.
Then call HRHAP_DOCUMENT_SAVE
Then HRHAP_DOCUMENT_DEQUEUE
finished, next appraisal id.

Back to my Mac says UPnP or NAT-PMP turned off on router, but it's on!

Hi,
Back to my Mac in the iCloud pref pane says that UPnP or NAT-PMP is turned off on my 3rd party router. However, UPnP has been enabled on the router. Is this anything to be worried about? BTMM is working ok-ish, but I'm worried I still need to do something on the router as BTTM has this warning message showing up.
The router is a Huawei HG 523a firmware v1.2.

Also - is NAT-PMP available as a configuration option on non-Apple (airport) routers? I was reading something about BTMM by Glenn Fleishman (TidBits) & got the impression NAT-PMP was to be enabled on Apple routers & UPnP on non-Apple routers. Is this right?
In my router there is NAT Port Mapping, but is this the same thing as NAT-PMP? I must say, it's all a bit opaque...

NAT PMP on Tiger server 10.4.11 and Back to my Mac

Hey All,
Here is my situation. Users from my internal network who are on Leopard OS are not able to use "Back to my Mac" feature to connect to their computers at home.
I am using XServe Tiger 10.4.11 as the gateway/router
Firewall is UP and running - Port 5900 is open though
NAT is enable
DHCP is up and running
DNS is running.
The error message i am getting from the client machine is
"Back to my Mac isn't working properly because it requires a router that supports NAT Port Mapping Protocol (NAT-PMP).."
I am very sure that it has to do something with my NAT, but i am not sure how or what to look for in there and what settings i should have as well.
Any help or points to the right direction will be great.

MSS Dashboard for Performance Management - PMP vs Flexi-Form

Hello Experts,
I have the following problem in Performance Management.
We have decided to use PMP template for some employees (manager level) and Flexi-form for remaining employees (because we have pre-defined criteria in template that PMP UI is not showing).
I found that PMP dashboard in MSS is only showing PMP appraisals.
When manager opens Flex-form UI, it is showing all appraisals that the manager is responsible for (PMP & Flexi) and when the manager clicks on an employee's appraisal document link, it is always displaying the document in Flexi UI mode.
If a manager is having half of his employees using PMP and other half using Flexi-form, what is the best way for him to look at Dashboard (initial screen to open employee's appraisals), so that for PMP appraisals will open with PMP UI and Flexi appraisals will open with Flexi UI?

So i was wrong about it being portal development, glad I finally figured out how to do it.
configuring the "quick criteria maintenance":
It can be done by config following this post: Define default value in POWL Quick Criteria Maintenance for all users
regarding assessment, it doesn't work for you, b/c you probably haven't done the configuration. go to talent management and talent development > talent assessment.
here you wil have to read all the IMG activities, the documentation is decent on how to implement. Basically with EP4, there are new types of assessment that a manager can do besides just performance, this includes assessing potential, risks, barriers, and development plans. all of these assessments processes tie into downstream talent management processes such as talent review meetings and succession planning. hope this helps.

Converting Sony PMP Files to JPEG

Does anyone know how to convert Sony PMP files to JPEG files?
My understanding is that Sony used a proprietary file format (called *.pmp) for images captured by their early digital cameras.

Am I missing something?
I've come across the www.klingebiel.com link, but it doesn't seem to offer a solution to convert the PMP files to JPEG.

You can convert a PMP file to JPEG format with no loss of quality by simply removing the first 124 bytes of the file and changing the extension to JPG.
The other site, www.cloanto.com, seems to be looking for a conversion tool.

UPNP/ NAT-PMP issues; trying to open up my NAT so i can run games

so i have an iphone that i like to connect with to play games on games like Modern Combat Sandstorm, or NOVA. Anyways i'm having troubles using Gamelofts live service because it says that UPnP needs to be enabled to run it. well all i see is NAT-PMP which isn't really the same thing. anyways i guess i'm just asking for advice how can i open it up so i can run these games online

Basically I needed to know more about my computer, & how mounting work. I created more work than I needed. It was all there I just didn't know how to use it. My computer has all the requirements, i just didn't know how to get it started once I downloaded it. I finally figured out that you have to mount & then basically transfer. Computer operator error basically. makes a person feel real dumb...HA

I have turned the LSO integration with PMP.
I can add the mandatory course assignment in PMP,
but I am unable to view those mandatory assignments in mandatory tab - ESS.
Kindly suggest some ways to handle it.
Client is rigid on the requirement in PMP only.
In SAP process document also it is mentioned.

Which version of the LSO front-end are you using? BSP or Web Dynpro ABAP?
If BSP, it could be a cookie problem (data not up to date). Try deleting your browser cookies.
It could also be due to an erroneous validity period. Can you check the start and end date of 615 relationship in table HRP1001?
