PNP LDB is very slow

Hi Guys,
I am writing a simple report using LDB PNP but it is taking very long time as compare to ABAP Query. ABAP query is taking 1 min but ABAP report is taking over 10 minutes.
I am using following code in ABAP Report.
GET pernr.
  rp-provide-from-last p2001 space g_begda g_endda.
  IF pnp-sw-found eq '1'.
    gi_data-pernr = pernr-pernr.
    gi_data-nachn = p0002-nachn.
    gi_data-vorna = p0002-vorna.
    gi_data-begda_abs = p2001-begda.
    gi_data-endda_abs = p2001-endda.
    APPEND gi_data.
    ADD 1 TO g_counter.
  ENDIF.
There are 3 million records in PA2001.
What can I do to reduce the processing time using LDB PNP.

I think this tip, can help you.
You can try create a event in your report, the event is "INITIALIZATION".
Inside this event, you can make a "select" comand from your principal infotype, in this case, i think this infotype is 0021.
For example:
INITIALIZATION:
Select * from PAxxxxx into corresponding fields of table IT_xxxxxxx where WAGETYPE = 'XXXXXX'.
After this step, you need create another event: "AT SELECTION-SCREEN ". Inside this event, you have need the follow abap code:

If user not filled any parameter at selection screen, this point of report fill the PNP parameters
  LOOP AT it_xxxxxx. "==============> Informations getted at event: INITIALIZATION
      pnppernr-sign   = 'I'.
      pnppernr-option = 'EQ'.
      pnppernr-low    = it_xxxxxx-pernr.
      APPEND pnppernr. "====> Fill standard parameter
  ENDLOOP.
Elimina registros duplicados
  DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM pnppernr COMPARING low.
  ENDIF.
  ENDCASE.
Using this abap code, you will restrict the selection only in a specific infotype, reducing the selection of PNP.
