PNP selection field

Hello,
when I use logical database PNP in my interface, may I know what are the names of each selection field? I am trying to determine whether the employee I got has bi-weekly payroll or monthly payroll, which can be obtained directly from the selection screen of PNP if I know what the name is.

Hi ,
I think one more method of looking at the screen fields is using the 'loop at screen' and 'Endloop' statement .
There is an internal table which has all the screen field names .
Also it is helpful to use this when u want to activate or diactivate certain fields in ur screen.
You can see all the field names , there attributes during debugging.

i m using a logical database PNP and report catagory 1PY_DEF in my program.
but when i execute it , it shows to selection box. one name is period and second is selections.
but i just want to show only period box selection fields , not the selection box fields.
how it iz possible.

In my case i haved used the PNP logical database..in the selection box i don't wnat to display Contorling area,Cost Center & Organizational Unit. i have written this code to hide those fields..
AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
LOOP AT SCREEN.

       screen-name CS 'PNPKOSTL' OR
       screen-name CS 'PNPORGEH'.

Try modify hide the total block instead of individual fields in that block.

Customizing user selection fields of Logical database PNP

Dear Gurus,
I had made a z-copy of payslip program for incorporation of Logo. Now we need to put this report in Enterprise Portal (EP). Now since we would not want any user to view any other person's payslip, I need to disable the selection field (PERNR) for user selection.
Problem is this field for user selection is coming from standard Logical Database (LDB - PNP) used in the program. So how can I make this field hardcoded as sy-uname and non-modifiable without making z-copy of LDB-PNP.
Also I wish to harcode Payroll Area writing some code (from table PA000) but again I cannot write this in std. PNP LDB and writing it in driver program will not help.

Dear freinds how to open the fields in the PNP selection screen

Dear Freinds,
         When you use the PNP selection screen , i dont find the Orgeh field in default selection screen .
However , using the code at selection screen output i have closed certain feilds using the loop at screen,
but when iam trying in similar way to show the field
on the selection what is the code i have to use
in the loop at screen...........especially for the field
orgeh .
i have tried the othere options like required.........this working when iam able to make the date fields mandatory, similary i want to try with the below
code to get the field Orgeh on the selection as default feild when we execute the report.
can any one please modify me the code

Hi Madhuri,
Unless you dont declare the orgeh field in hr report category you cannot show it on the selection screen nor you can hide it.
If you do not want to use hr report cateogry.
What you can do is that declare a parameter or selection screen called p_orgeh type orgeh.
Here you can do the hiding on conditions.
Kindly note here that after get pernr you will have to put a check that
check p0001-orgeh in p_orgeh.
Because for the fields declared by you automatic filtering does not happen.

Not able to hide all fields on PNP selection screen.

           i wanted to hide all the field which are given on PNP selection screen, with the help of the
report category i have hided all the field including the Person selection period as i require only the
Data selection period. further through coding as below iam able to remove all the radio buttons
Today, Current month,Current year, from today, upto today,Other Period . But i am getting spaces above period (PNPBEGDA and PNPENDA) . i.e in the frame Period i have spaces being left due to
the radio buttons being Hidden . Could any one let me know how to remove the spaces so that
Period range will set exactly in the frame.

my question is how to populate f4 values to standard pnp selection screen field. i am using LDB PNP for a report , it displays several fields with f4 values, i need to remove all the stadard f4 values and want to place my f4 values in the selection screen

To put ur own values in the F4 help of any field...all u have to do is.
1st fetch all the records that u need to display in F4 help list...in one internal table.
and then use the function module 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
exporting
retfield =
value_org =
tables
value_tab =
return_tab =
exceptions
parameter_error = 1
no_values_found = 2
others = 3.
where retfield is the field for which u need to give the F4 help.
and valu_tab is the internal table in which u have the list of records to be displayed.
this would do the work...

Initialization for Date Fields on PNP Selection screen

Hi All,
I need to initialize the date on the LDB PNP selection screen to today.
I gave the following code in the Initialization
Set the Key Date to Today
pnptimr1 = 'X'.
but this doesn't get reflected on the selection screen.
Please suggest.

PNP Selection Cursor

Hi Guys/Dolls
I have an ABAP program that uses a PNP Logical database.
When the application is launched the "Other period" is automatically selected I have managed (with your help) to make "Today" to be the default via the use of the following statement.
pnptimed = 'D'.
2 other questions
1) The cursor doesn'tt seem to have moved still in the date of the other box how do
I make it move to the default which is now set to "Today".
2) As a matter of curiosity how would I make the current month the default or any other selections the defaults? Are there similar statements like pnptimed = D.?

selection and also move the cursor to that field.

So with the help of report category and coding in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT , i have modified all the fields relating to dates . i.e i have removed all the radio buttons (i.e Today, Current month,current year etc) and finally
i have landed with only Period ( PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range) . But i dont want the PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range , but i want only is the month and year ( i.e just like the PNPPABRP & PNPPABRJ)
on my selection screen along with the pernr .

   The requirement is that the user doesnt want to enter the date range i.e for ex: 01012008 to 31012008.
As per the requirement the user will enter only the month and year only . so i on the selection screen
i want only the month and year only . Is there any means i can modify the date period which is there by
default (PNPbegda and PNPendda) on PNP selection screen. Instead of we givign to the user the
PNPBEGDA and PNPPENDA i want is only month and year .
AS already the code has already been written and now they have asked that they want only the month and year on the selection screen.
Please suggest me in this regard.If iam hiding all the buttons relating the dates fields, and now if iam adding the parameters for the month and year it is coming below below the fields pernr , personnel ara and subara , company code , payroll area, employee group of the standard fields of PNP selection screen , there by any body could please suggest me how to change.

or can i restrict the numbers of values returned by " get pernr" with conditions not on selection screens.

I have written a prog to select data pertaining to details of all employees who belong to a particular country . For this i have provided a dynamic selection field for selecting country (through Selection View).But when i am getting all the records for all countries.
How to use the dynamic selection fields in program or they behave in the same way as the standard selection given by the LDB .As if we enter a value in the std screen then the GET event acts accordingly .

rp-provide-from-last p0006 1 pn-begda pn-endda.

Changing the Label of the LDB - PNP Screen Field(Date field)

I got a req. to change the label of the field "Data Selection Period". This field is from PNP LDB.
Pls let me know, is there any FM or any other process?

you can customize the PNP selection screen by creating a report class. you will find the button in the report attributes.
or you can define your own selection view via SE80 an maintaining table T599C.
but I dont't think you will be able to rename the field lable.

Additional field added in Infoset unable to use as a selectable field

I added 2 fields as additional fields to the Organizational Assignment infotype in a PNP Infoset that I created via SQ02. When I select the infoset to build a query via adhoc query the fields are listed in the Org Assignment infotype and available for output but are not available as a selection field. There is no check box under the Selection column, only a checkbox under the output column.
How do I make the added additional fields available as a section field as well as an output field.

Solution: in ad hoc query select Extras > Switch off object selection
