Pnp selection screen 000 how to put default values

Hello everybody,
my question today is about PNP selection screen 000: How can i put default values in the fields w/o using variant.
or can i restrict the numbers of values returned by " get pernr" with conditions not on selection screens.

Dear freinds how to open the fields in the PNP selection screen

Dear Freinds,
         When you use the PNP selection screen , i dont find the Orgeh field in default selection screen .
However , using the code at selection screen output i have closed certain feilds using the loop at screen,
but when iam trying in similar way to show the field
on the selection what is the code i have to use
in the loop at screen...........especially for the field
orgeh .
i have tried the othere options like required.........this working when iam able to make the date fields mandatory, similary i want to try with the below
code to get the field Orgeh on the selection as default feild when we execute the report.
can any one please modify me the code

Hi Madhuri,
Unless you dont declare the orgeh field in hr report category you cannot show it on the selection screen nor you can hide it.
If you do not want to use hr report cateogry.
What you can do is that declare a parameter or selection screen called p_orgeh type orgeh.
Here you can do the hiding on conditions.
Kindly note here that after get pernr you will have to put a check that
check p0001-orgeh in p_orgeh.
Because for the fields declared by you automatic filtering does not happen.

To put ur own values in the F4 help of any field...all u have to do is.
1st fetch all the records that u need to display in F4 help list...in one internal table.
and then use the function module 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
call function 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
exporting
retfield =
value_org =
tables
value_tab =
return_tab =
exceptions
parameter_error = 1
no_values_found = 2
others = 3.
where retfield is the field for which u need to give the F4 help.
and valu_tab is the internal table in which u have the list of records to be displayed.
this would do the work...
I dont have the system in front of me...as soon as i have...will try to send a piece of code, to make ur work easy.

Can we modify the pnp selection screen and get only month and year?

              I have requirement where i have to modify the PNP selection screen. So with the help of report category and coding in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT , i have modified all the fields relating to dates . i.e i have removed all the radio buttons (i.e Today, Current month,current year etc) and finally
i have landed with only Period ( PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range) . But i dont want the PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range , but i want only is the month and year ( i.e just like the PNPPABRP & PNPPABRJ)
on my selection screen along with the pernr .
i have used the below code to close all the fields except pnpbegda and pnpendda.
AT Selection-Screen output.

   The requirement is that the user doesnt want to enter the date range i.e for ex: 01012008 to 31012008.
As per the requirement the user will enter only the month and year only . so i on the selection screen
i want only the month and year only . Is there any means i can modify the date period which is there by
default (PNPbegda and PNPendda) on PNP selection screen. Instead of we givign to the user the
PNPBEGDA and PNPPENDA i want is only month and year .
AS already the code has already been written and now they have asked that they want only the month and year on the selection screen.
Please suggest me in this regard.If iam hiding all the buttons relating the dates fields, and now if iam adding the parameters for the month and year it is coming below below the fields pernr , personnel ara and subara , company code , payroll area, employee group of the standard fields of PNP selection screen , there by any body could please suggest me how to change.

report category i have hided all the field including the Person selection period as i require only the
Data selection period. further through coding as below iam able to remove all the radio buttons

Initialization for Date Fields on PNP Selection screen

Hi All,
I need to initialize the date on the LDB PNP selection screen to today.
I gave the following code in the Initialization
Set the Key Date to Today
pnptimr1 = 'X'.
but this doesn't get reflected on the selection screen.
Please suggest.

PNP Selection Screen Modification

Hi All,
Can anyone tell how to remove the payroll period section completely from the pnp selection screen. I tried all the means going to HR Report Category, I couldnt find the perfect category to hide the payroll period selection. It neither allow me to create a new one for my program. Please help me out as soon as possible with steps/navigation whichever possible..

you can create your own selection screen by going to Attributes -> HR Report Category -> New Report Category(button on the bottom of popup screen).
here, you can select/deselect selection criteria.
it looks like you were in the correct place - why didn't it let you create a new report category?

Selection Screen are used for the program reports. These allows you to input some values that are required to show the desired output.
for example : you want to show the list of sales orders between 1000 to 1999, you would write a select query as this (to make u understand better)
select vbeln from vbak into it_vbeln
             where vbeln GE 1000 " greater than or equal to
               and vbeln LE 1999. " less than or equal to
now if you wnat to do it dynamically, you need a selection screen
tables : vbak. " declaration
selection-screen : begin of block block1 with frame title text-003.
select-options : so_vbeln for vbak-vbeln. " selection range from __ to __
selection-screen : end of block block1.
now you can write the same select query as
select vbeln from vbak into it_vbeln
             where vbeln in so_vbeln.

Select option is table <Structure> with fields, low, high, sign & option
you need to append the value into the select option, with appropriate value in low or
example:
S_HKONT-low = <value>
S_HKONT-SIGN = 'I'
S_hkont-OPTION = 'EQ'
append s_hkont.
Default value for select-option also can be added directly in select-option statement.

      i have selection field date , using data element 'QENTST' using following code in view INIT Method. i get the input selection field when i test application.
DATA: LT_RANGE_TABLE TYPE REF TO DATA.

say u have the field name as f_field1....
in the PBO of that screen initialize it....
f_field1 = '100' "here 100 is the default value.

I have created a variable ZDATE, which is in variable entry screen of the query. and this variable is mendatory .
Now, i want to put default value of this variable ( Which can be done from the Variable Properties screen , on the Default Values Tab )
But , thru there i can only put selected value. my requirement is to show system date - 1 ( Previous date )

I've a requirement wherein i need to create a Z table (with maintainence view) in which i'll have date and time as two of its field which should have current date and current time as default value. Can somebody suggest as how am i to maintain the date and time fields defaulting to current date and current time.

We have a following custom table which contains the fields Date on which record was created and Name of the person who created the object. We would like to have these to be filled up with SY-DATUM and SY-UNAME respectively.
Using the events, we can achieve this.

Write a form routine in table maintanance generator.
1. SE11 > utilities > table maintenance generator
2. environment > modification > event
define the event and form routine to make use of the tigger. in the form routine define an object for the class and call the relevant method.
Or u can do it as:
Table maintenance generator is basically used to do table operations like (insert, delete, modify...).
if you create table maintenance for your table it will build a module pool program, by using you do the above operations.
below is the procedure to create table maintenance generator.
1) Create one function group.
2) after activating your Ztable, choose 'Utilities'----> 'Table maintenance genrator'.
3) then give the authorization group and function group created abobe in the next screen.
4) Then choose the "create" button in your application tool bar, which will creates the module pool program.
5) then create one Tcode by chosing "Transaction with parameters( parameter transaction)".
6) in transaction field give "SM30", select the check box "Skip initial screen".
7) in the below of that screen you can find the "Default values" frame.
8) there under the "name of screen field" select the "View name' and 'update".
9) in value column against to "view name" give you table name, and against to "Update" put 'X' in capital letters.
save it then you can straight away use this newly created Tcode to maintain your table.
Note:- 1) make the modification while saving the data into your table using this newly generated program to carry out your validation (even though it looks like standard program; no need to enter the access key).
2) if you do any changes to your table and press the activate button automatically the table maintenace generator will be goes off, you need to create this again.
