PO Backend Error

Dear Experts,
We have encountered an error in PO creation - Backend Error: Sum of quantities > 17,050 < larger than the total quantity.
PO is created from a shopping cart, SHC qty is 17,050 and PO qty is only 34. I've noticed that there were multiple account assignments used(cost center) which were distributed accordingly to have 100%.
What could possibly have caused this? I've tried in QAS to recreate the scenario but it can't be replicated.

Backend error message when changing old PO's in upgraded system

Hi,
We upgraded our SRM system from 5 to 7.1
The issue we are facing is that fir all OLD PO's in the system,which were created before the upgrade,if we change the price or delete service lines in PO,then an error message is displayed "Backend error:Purcahse ordre still contains faulty items".
Has anybody come across this issue?
NOTE: This happens only for old PO's in the system.

Backend Error in PO - SRM 4.0

Hi,
For some PO's we have been getting errors which are as below--
This PO has backend errors
Sum of quantities >640< larger than total quantity
Sum of quantities >120< larger than total quantity
I have applied a lot of OSS notes suggested by SAP , and by experts on SDN. But none seems to work.
Has anyone found out a solution to this.
P.S. - We are using SRM 4.0.

Yes we were able to recreate this issue. This occurs when u change the account assignment for an existing PO , and then try to save it.
SAP gave us a code fix to implement in a BADI , and also suggested running a report to fix the account assignment index errors.
Apparently, this looks like a temporary fix, since we have noticed a few errors again even after putting the fix in place.

Need backend error in SRM while entering Service item

hi SRM guru ,
I need backend error while entering Service item in SRM in PO .
I have scenario where in I need backend errors from ERP while making entry Service items .
I need some configuration or customization that will cause backend error againt Service items .
I have tried many thing like introducing such UOM , Tax code in SRM which is not supported by ERP .
I was expecting backend error for it but it does not happen like that .
I need find out some action that can cause Backend error for Sure while making entry of SRM Service item .
I kindly invite your ideas and inputs ...
In genral need something on PO UI that can cause backend error for Service item ...
i have this Scenario mainly in SRM 6.0 onwards systems...

What specifically are you attempting to do?
Why any error when craeting service item.
You could code the DOC_CHECK_BADI to make an RFC call the the backend to do what ever check is necessary.

Selected Query Parameter backend error

     I am having some backend error whenever I add a parameter to the Selected Query Parameter to the ValueHelpQuery of an OVS.

I did not bind that N_AccountUUID with nothing else. Do I have to?
I always add a new field to the SearchParameters and than I bind it in the Selected Query Parameters.
I don't bind it with anything else.
Is that a problem?
I just bound it with my BO data field and it shows "The data field is bound to query parameter".

Reg. Displaying backend errors

Guys,
How to get display the backend errors of the PO in SRM directly when we click on 'Check' button and should not allow us to 'Order' the PO for error in process POs.
Would this option be possible direclty ?
We are with SRM 4.0, Extended Classic Scenario.

Yes, heard that with the new releases, we can control whether the backend check is required at the time of PO changes from SRPO settings.
Wouldnt be possible to have that 'Backend Check Functionality' in ECS POs for our old releases ?
Any note exists for this ?

Or Is there any other way, to find the Purchage order has struck up with the Backend Apllication Errors.

Send backend error notification to shopping cart creator/requestor

Hi Gurus,
We are currently using SRM7.0 classic scenario. In RZ20 transaction code, errors on the shopping cart appeared. We have a requirement for the ff:
Send a notification to user informing them about the backend application error,
Download and store the error in file server or a custom table
and Delete the error from the application monitor
Please advice if you have encountered any of these.

Did you check DC30 in the backend to have the type of file used in the attachment?
We had a similar problem after the last patching and SAP advised to change the file format in DC30 in the backend to show for example: instead of *.xls change to .

B2B with ECC 6.0 backend error

Hi,
I receive the error "No customer found with customer number" when I try to checkout, with my shopping cart.
This is an internal POC. I've configured the UserManagement as 'R3_SU01User'. I've configured r3standardpitrex in B2B XCM configuration. I've maintained Shopadmin as well.
I know the problem has to do with "security". I've created a user on SU01, but if I add a customer number (KNA1) to the Goto>References button, I can not log onto B2B. It gives me the following error:
- A serious system error has occured
- The shoplist read from buffer if empty
-Contact the administrator
If I remove the KNA1 entry, I can log onto the shop. I am able to browse my catalog & add to the shopping basket...I just can't create a sales order because I'm not associated with a customer.

Purchase Order Backend Error!!

Hi Experts,
We are in SRM 5.0 EBP 4.0 extended classic scenario. In a particular case, I find that when a Purchase Order was changed and ordered, it went into backend application error as I could see the same in RZ20 . The alert read " Purchase Order ( No.) : Material/Service group ( Name begining with X) does not exist. "
I have checked for the product category in extended attributes (PPOSA_BBP) for the user and find that the same is maintained.
Also in the backend system, there is the Z equivalent of the product category maintained. I understand that there is a BADI which converts the X categories to Z in backend for checking purpose so only Z equivalent all all X product categories have been maintained there.
Can Anybody tell me then why this error came? What is the solution for the same?

SRM local PO CHANGE generates backend errors? But then dissappear?

I have a strange situation where if I go CHANGE an SRM local PO that has already been ordered, let's say I increase the quantity or price and click the "CHECK" button I sometimes get errors like the following:
This purchase order has back-end errors
No instance of object type PurchaseOrder has been reated. External reference:
PO header data still faulty
External document number 3200000240 already assign d
But the really weird thing is if I click on check again a couple of time the errors eventually dissappear and I can order the PO.
And this error seems to only happen sometimes...very ad hoc.....
I do have the BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI active but the code inside the custom development has NOTHING to do with these errors above.
Why on earth would it be trying to assign that PO number in the backened anyway if it is already created in the backend?
And ideas on this strange problem?
NOTE: We are on SRM 5.0

Hi there,
The RZ20 monitor is active BUT these errors do not appear in there at all.
As I said I can literally click the button "ORDER" a couple times and the errors just "dissappear", very weird.
I think it is a LOCKING issue, I have seen this thread Purchase Order Modification: External Document Number already assigned but am still trying to work out if it is a workflow lock in table or SM12 type lock.

DPS 6 bind to backend error?

Getting error for DPS 6. I think I have everything set up correctly. Binds to the DS are ok and anonymous thru DPS are ok. However when I bind thru DPS I get the access error below.
conn=132 op=0 BIND RESPONSE err=1 msg="Unable to retrieve a backend BIND connection" etime=0
Also in the DSCC under routing > data sources for the DPS is states the "operational status" as not available which I cant explain. Any ideas why I am not binding thru to backend DS?

Cannot open a Premiere 6 file in Premiere CC, Backend error

Whenever I try to open a specific premiere pro 6 project in CC, I get an error that is below. I understand that these programs were able to open older projects in newer versions, but never the reverse. I want to use the work from the 6 file to add into the CC file, but can't open either of them simultaneously in either program. Please help.

Try using the Media Browser to navigate to that project and import it that way instead.

Error during determn of backend follow-on doc

Hi,
We are suddenly facing this error after the shopping cart has been approved:
"Error during determn of backend follow-on doc. for shopping cart xxxxxxxxx".
There are many shopping carts having the same error or they are simply as "ERROR IN PROCESS".
Can you help us, as why is this happening & how can this be resolved.
This error was not exsisting previously. We have checked all the organizational data in the structure.
We have also tried pushing them from backend but they still result in error.
The BASIS have checked the RFC connection & the logs but have found no error.
Please let me know what could be the problem & the solution for the same.

Error in NetWeaver CE 7.1 Installation: Step importJavaDump with MSS 2005

After a dozen unsuccessful tries to install SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 onto a Windows platform using the Microsoft SQL Server as the backed I could use help regarding this particular error.
I receive the following error when I try to install the software with MSS as the backend:

For one thing, there is no SAP note 942766 when you search for one at SAP Notes. Another thing that is particularly interesting is that the SQL JDBC driver does not get the SQL instance name, or at least does not print that to the exception message but instead leaves there two whitespaces (The connection to the named instance >>Instance name should be here<< has failed).
Any suggestions on how to get pass this error? All help would be appreciated!

hello,
please check and ensure that:
- your database server is started.
- your database instance is running and you can connect to it through the network interface
- the entries in secure store contain the correct options for
connecting to the database. (These can be checked via     configtool and this only applies to the case when JLoad is run using secure store parameters)
