PO Catalog ECC 6.0

Hi All,
I am using the ECC 6.0 functionality for external catalogs in purchase orders. The path is SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Environment > Web Services
Is there any way to default the vendor number into the PO screen after coming back from the catalog?
Thanks.

I have maintained the catalog call structure in SPRO.
I am able to punch out to the catalog, select products, return this information to SAP. The only information which isn't defaulted into SAP is the vendor number.
Is there any way to default this number?

  • ECC TO SRM-MDM CATALOG THROUGH SAP PI

We have a scenario where we are sending data from ECC to SRM-MDM Catalog through SAP PI and data is coming from ECC through proxy and sending to SRM u2013MDM catlog through file adapter. In ESR part we have used SAP defined standard service interfaces (CatalogueUpdateNotification as sender interface and MDMInfoRecordDataTransmission as a receiver interface). The mapping used is also standard one.
Now we have got requirement to send the data for vendor mat no, manufacturer field of info records from ECC to SRM-MDM catlog.  But we are unable to find out these two fields in standard interfaces/messages. Can anybody guide us how to add these fields in the current data types or is there any other standard interfaces we can use.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shiv,
    Many thanks for your reply.
Since we're not using XI / PI scenario and this is an upgrade from SRM 5.5 to SRM 7, Iu2019m using the same approach that was already used in SRM 5.5 with CCM 2.0.
The idea is that the catalogue and all the records maintained need to be associated to a contract. So, I add the contract ID and the correspondent contract item in the import file, in addition to the supplier name, product ID, price information and so on. I mapped the contract ID with the field contract price.
In relation to the price information fields, as I want it to be visible for any user that accesses the product catalogue, I tried different approaches:
    1.Using OCI Price information u2013 amount, currency, price base quantity and price base quantity UoM;
    2.Using OCI Price contract u2013 amount, currency, price base quantity and price base quantity UoM;
The first approach didnu2019t work very well, as I was not able to see price information when accessing the catalogue. I could only see it once I transfer the items to the SC. In addition, this approach had one problem. The products were displayed but it was not possible to select the items one by one. To do that I needed to select all the items of the catalogue and after that the detail of the contract ID was displayed in every item, allowing me to choose the items that I want to select to my SC.
The second approach was better as the information was visible when accessing the SC and I was able to select all the items, one by one, as it should be. The main problem of this approach was that Iu2019m getting errors in the SC when the materials have stock u2013 u201CInterface data contains errorsu201D. Or alternatively, if the items didnu2019t have stock, the SC was possible, but when I tried to create a PO from that SC, It simply does not work.
So, can someone help me? Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Andreia

  • Using the Open Catalog Interface (OCI) between SAP-ECC 6.0 and SAP-MDM

    Hello ASUG Community.
I'm working on an SAP-MDM project where we will configure the OCI interface between SAP-ECC 6.0 and SAP-MDM.  The business requirement will be to punch out to SAP-MDM's catalog from SAP-ECC for expensed items (e.g., no material master record exists in SAP-ECC).
The data that will be returned to SAP-ECC will be purchase price info, material group, short text, & our global SAP-MDM item number.
The question I've been trying to design around is "where to store the SAP-MDM item number"?
I've looked into creating a custom filed on EKPO but now feel that a configured text field will be the best solution from an SAP-ECC point of view (less effort on the SAP-ECC side from a development perspective, no need to regenerate the EKPO table, etc.).
The question I'd like to pose to ASUG is.... Does anyone have experience or an opinion to offer using this functionality?  It seems that I will have to code in a user exit or BAdi to insure that the SAP-MDM item numbers are returned to the appropriate text field on my POu2019s.  Or can this be done using the standard OCI functionality?
I found OSS note 1347656 which references BADI "ME_CATALOG_INTERFACE" but I'm not sure if this right path to go down or if this would be the correct place to code non-conforming OCI mapping requiremetns.
Any insight would be most appreciated.
    Thanks.  Sincerely,
    Rich Wortmann

I would suggest you create a new field for this as you may require thois going forward for reporting as well. Text fields are difficult to report.
Sorry not sure about the BADI to use.

  • Qualificatio catalog in ECC-6.0

    Hi, Ananatha,
Thanks for your prompt response regarding my posted querries related to LOP 1/2 day and Payroll.
I have  to implement PD also here, in this i have configured Appraisal System and Training & Event management. Now Qualification Catalog is to be configured next. My doubt  that is it mandatory to configure Qualification catalog if i have to implement Appraisal system and trg & Event management.
If it is required then do you have any Document containing steps of customizing  the qualfication cat in ECC-6.0.
    Thanks and regds

    Hi,

  • How to access more than one catalog from ECC

We use the catalogs in SRM from ECC, ME21N. But we are only able to access one catalog. Is there any way to access different catalogs for the users. We have set up different catalogs in customizing but are not able to selcet them.
At the moment we have one for each country, and would like to be able to select among theese, not create one big one? I have heard of an ad-on from SAP is this correct?  Any advice on further readings or suggestions to solutions on this problem?
    Regards
    Ivar

    Hi Ivar,
We are also having almost same requirement for multiple catalogs. Can you please let me know how to proceed further on this.
Right now we are able to config only 1 catalog and its working but we need two more to be added.

  • Use more than one Catalog from ECC 6

At the configuration point in ECC 6 Materials Management ... Web Services: ID and Description I can describe more than one catalog URL address , but the user see in transaction ME21N or ME51N only that catalog with the default flag.
Is it possible to use more than one catalog by these SAP standard functionality?

    Hi Markus,
    no!
Unfortunatly, it is just posible to use ONE catalogue. At the beginning of development there was kept open the posibilitiy to make posible the use several catalogues in a later state.  That`s mainly the reason why more than one can be entered in customizing. But the functionality of using more than one was never developed later on.

  • Punchout from ECC 6.0 MM via OCI to MDM Catalog

    Hi Folks,
my customer wants to integrate the SRM MDM Catalog with ECC 6.0/MM without using SRM or XI. I already found threads talking about external catalogs being linked from MM using
ECC SPRO : Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Environment Data -> Web Services: ID and Description
which I have available. However, I was expecting an entry for example in PM where I have the activities for OCI (Catalog ID, HTML-Fields etc.) in detail, but not a general web service ID an description. I am familiar with OCI, but not with web services.
How can I use the web service ID to turn into a configurable OCI-interface?
    Thanks, Andy

    Hi Andreas,
For our customer we would like to link ECC5 MM to SRM-MDM 2.0.
Our MDM catalog works well with SRM EBP 5.5.
For a different scenario we would like to link MDM directly to ECC5 : MM / PM / PS.
    1. In ECC5 MM there is no customizing entry for Web Services.
    It used to be :
IMG --> Material Management --> Purchasing --> Environment Data --> Web Services.
This entry is no longer exist.
Do you have an idea of how to link MM to MDM ?
    2. In order to link MDM to ECC5 PM, we customize :
IMG --> Plant Maint ... --> Maintenance and services ... --> Maintenance and services order --> Interface for procurement Using catalogs (OCI) --> define catalog
I did the same setting as in SRM EBP.
    and also
IMG --> Plant Maint ... --> Maintenance and services ... --> Maintenance and services order --> Interface for procurement Using catalogs (OCI) --> Assign Catalog to Order type
    I assign
    PM01 order type,
    a plant,
    sequence 1
    Catalog ID.
I have no idea about the following entry in this table :
    - Organization
    - User
    - Password.
I put them with blank value.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Purchasing catalogs in ECC 6.0

    Hi,
Integration of purchasing catalogs in ECC 6.0
Can someone help me in the documentation of configuration for ME51N and ME21N.
    Thanks,
    Seshadri

Native R/3 does not support punchout from the PReq.  I know SAP has added the ability to punch-out from ECC6.0, but there are limitations on what it supports.  Also, just adding a Catalog button to the PReq (ME51n) transaction is not very useful for end users.  The fact is that the GUI is just too hard for your average user, so most companies using R/3 or ECC do not really support an end user self serve model.
So, we developed a new solution that works with R/3 or ECC.  It is an awesome looking Adboe Flex/Flash based UI and is a presentation layer.   It supports internally hosted catalogs, vendor hosted, buying on behalf of, etc.   The solution does not require any new hardware, software, etc.

  • Material/service master catalog upload (ECC-CCM)

SRM have 2 possible scenarios to upload the material master data to CCM:
1- Upload material master data from ECC to SRM and, after, from SRM to CCM.
2- Upload material master data directly from ECC to SRM.
Does anybody know the name of the transaction or report in ECC to upload the material/service master catalog directly to CCM?
    Best regards,
    Cristiano Soares

    Hi All-
I have about 3 tricky questions concerning CCM-ECC Integration
1.) Does anybody have any idea on how to upload Material and Service master from ECC 6.0 directly into the CCM 2.0 system. Is there any standard program like we have in SRM called as BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG. I
2.) Also are there any complications or is it possble to integrate CCM 2.0 directly from ME51n? I am aware that PM and PS out-of-the-box can be directly integrated to CCM. Is there a similar way to achieve this functionality. If yes can anybody give me some pointers on this.
3.) Are there any complications involved with uploading service masters and interfacing CCM to EBP or ECC and directly using the service master from CCM to create a Shopping cart (CCM-EBP) or  a purchase requisition (CCM-ECC).
I hope some one can throw some light on these questions.
Suitable points will be rewarded for helpfull answers !!
    Thanks,

  • Catalog views for ERP E-Commerce for MySAP ERP ECC 5.0

We are implementing the R/3 version of CRM-ISA (ERP E-Commerce for MySAP ERP ECC 5.0).
We need to implement product catalog views to allow filtering based on specific attributes.
We have created a custom function module Z_ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE to replace ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE and  Z_ISA_CUSTOMER_READ_CAT_VIEWS to replace ISA_CUSTOMER_READ_CAT_VIEWS.
But when we test from ISA the FM Z_ISA_READ_CATALOG_COMPLETE does not get invoked through RFC.
There is an  SAP NOTE 998453 that we checked but it is still a pilot version.
Has anyone implemented the catalog views without the notes? Can we do the catalog views without the note? If so, how can we meke custom FM work? Please advice.
    Thanks,
    VK

    Check the following.
    1. The XCM file modification-config.xml replaces both the function modules
    2. The checkbox to use the catalog views is checked for your webshop
    3. Catalog is published to TREX and you are using TREX catalog instead of Memory catalog.
I don't think these notes work without TREX. I'd be interested in learning if anyone successfully implemented Catalog views with ECC ECO without using TREX.

  • SRM/External catalog in ECC Web Dynpro for ABAP

    Hi SRM experts!
Currently I'm developing new WB4A application in ECC and I faced one problem. Functionality will be let say light version of IW31 and same as in ERP transaction I would like to call catalog (external or SRM) and pass back selected materias to my WDA. Have anyone any idea how to do it, may be someone has a guide book?
    Thanks in advance
    Bartlomiej Lach

    Hi,
Have a look in the Function WSI_IMPORT_DATA where there is a section for WDA import:
    importing Data via Webdynpro
        WHEN c_wdy.
READ TABLE it_form_fields WITH KEY fieldname = '~XML_TYPE'
          INTO ls_its_context.
we have an XML document, get it
          IF sy-subrc = 0.
            lv_xml_type = ls_its_context-fieldcont.
            LOOP AT it_form_fields WHERE fieldname <> '~xmlDocument'.
              DELETE it_form_fields.
            ENDLOOP.
            SORT it_form_fields BY fieldindex.
            LOOP AT it_form_fields.
              CONCATENATE lv_xml_document_b64 it_form_fields-fieldcont
              INTO lv_xml_document_b64.
            ENDLOOP.
            IF lv_xml_document_b64 IS INITIAL.
              RAISE import_error.
            ENDIF.
            CLEAR ls_its_context.
            lv_data_format = c_xml.
          ELSE.
we have the HTML-version, get the complete fields
longtext has been split up already on the java server
            lt_its_context[] = it_form_fields[].
            lv_data_format = c_html.
          ENDIF.
      ENDCASE.
Then the function BBP_WS_IMPORT_SC_DATA is the one used to interpret the data and map the OCI structures to Internal Structures.
There should be enough hints in this code to achieve your requirements or to just reuse a lot of the code here.
Please note these are SRM functions, so I am not sure if they would be available to you in ERP.

    Jason

  • Catalog SC turning to a PR instead of PO in ECC

    Hi All,
I am encountering a scenario where my catalog SCs are turning to RQ rather than PO in ECC.
ours is a SRM 5.5, ECC 6.0 classic scenario. Our backend document creation determination is set to PO if requisition is complete else PR. We do not have any requirements to create backend PRs.
Rest of the punchouts, FFT are working fine. this was a custom catalog with characteristics added. we activated Catalog_transfer_badi to transfer custom field to SC. Transfer of field works good. Its only after the approval of SC its expected to create PO. All data, Acct assignments structures are all the same as other SCs that are working.
In BBP_PD it shows last status as approved instead of showing item in transfer. Its not triggering the PO create badi.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Viktor P

    Hi,
Please check the Product Category. If the product Category in the shopping cart is missing, then the Vendor Web Shop page does not transfer the product category to your system. This could be due to different version of UNSPSC codes vendor is using or vendor has not allotted the desired UNSPSC code to the respective article on their web shop page. Please co-ordinate with Vendor in this case.
If the above is through, then check the field Source of supply, Unit of measurement, Cost Assignment, Price & Price Unit. Absence of data or wrong data in this field may cause PR conversion instead of PO based on your BADI settings if any.
    Let me know the result.
    Regards,
    Sachin

  • Punchout Catalog through ECC

    Hi,
We are using Punchout catalogs through ECC sytem, how do i monitor incoming log foe Punchout in ECC 6.0? Normally in SRM if i go to SLG1 i should be able to see all the parameters which are passed from Catalog to SRM system, i cant do the same in ECC, i dont get any log for Punchout Catalog.
Am i looking at a wrong place?
    Please let me know
    thanks
    ronnie

    Hi Ronnie,
unfortunately the option you are looking for is not exists in R/3, only in SRM.
Please keep in mind that calling Catalog from Preq or PO has several limitations. this is one of them.

  • To use SRM Catalog from ECC

    Hi All,
there is a way to use the SRM catalog from ECC system?
Can I buy items from ECC system selecting them from SRM catalog?
    Thanks in advance.
    Antonio.

    Hi Antonio,
If I have understood your question correctly - you are looking out to buy products within ECC system using SRM system
If this is the case, you can do 2 things-
    1. You can replicate all ECC products to SRM and buy them from standard SRM shopping cart functionality; wherein a search functionality would be avaialable to find out a perticular replicated backend product. Regarding maintenance of prices for these products- you can use 'interlinkages' withing SRM. You can maintain separate price of different vendors for a same product using interlinkages.
    2. I am not sure about CCM but if SAP MDM is in your scope along with SRM, then you can replicate all ECC products as standard catalogs items to MDM from ECC. This would require XI as a middileware. Once replicated you can use these catalogs from buying purpose withing SRM
    Hope this helps you.
    Best Regards,
    Amit
