PO creation Indicator in SRM

Hi Experts,
I have a question for you?
Where can i find the PO creation indicator in SRM?
We are in Extended Classic scenario. POs are created from Shopping carts either manually by Purchaser from SOCO or autmatically by the system for catalog items & for items with Contract.
I want to know whether there are any status indicators for a PO in SRM from which i could know whether the PO was created manually or automatically...similar to the field we have in EKKO for a R/3 PO.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers - Aakash

Hello Aakash,
You can determine whether PO hasbeen created automatically from a preceeding document or created manually at line item level only. If the PO is created from a preceeding documents like shopping cart then the fields SRC_GUID and SRC_OBJECT_TYPE of the table BBP_PDIGP will be filled. If the PO is created manually then these fields will be empty.
Hope this will answer your question.
Best Regards,
Mani

  • Material creation process in SRM-MDM

    Dear All,
I am new to SRM. Please correct me about material creation procedure in SRM if I am wrong:
Normally in classic/extended classic scenario, material first created in MM and then it replicated to SRM. Base on configuration setting for number range, system either create the product ID same as material number number in SRM when it replicated into SRM. In final steps, the product information will upload into MDM either XI integration or manually via excel upload.
    My question:
+ Is it possible to automatic create product without XI via T.Code - MDMGX in MDM.
+ If the replicated product ID of SRM is different then MM material number, which number we should consider for creating product
       MDM.
    Thanks in advance.
    BR
    Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,
Answer1) You can only replicate Product Groups, Currencies and Unit of Measures through t-code MDMGX. XI/PI is required for Contract and Product Catalogs.
Answer 2) If the replicated product ID of SRM is different then MM material number, you should enter MM material number and in External Web Service Configuration for that internal catalog, uncheck  "Do not check Product" indicator so that SRM will not check the Product ID and when item goes to backend system, it will have correct MM material number.

  • Creation indicator purchase requisition in md02

    Hello SAP Gurus,
This is regarding creation indicator purchase requisition in md02.In this creation indicator purchase requisition if we keep setting as 2 than it will create purchase requisition if the dates of PR are in the opening period and will create planned order  if dates of PR falls out of opening period. And it takes the opening period from schedule margin key.
My question is , as system calculate the opening date by subtracting the number of days which we have given in opening period in schedule margin key from the order start date.suppose if order start date is 10.03.2008 and we have given the opening period of 5 days, than the opening date will be 05.03.2008 if there are no holidays between it.So how it comes that PR date will fall in opening period?I am confused that when system will create planned order and when system will create PR if we keep creation indicator purchase requisition as 2.
Plz help me with this query. If you could explain with one example than it would be great.
Thanking all in advance. And obviously for suitable answer i will definately give good points.

    Hi,
System calculates the opening date  by subtracting the number days given as opening period at SMK from order start date.
    For creation ind =2 ,
MRP run date decides the PR / Planned order creation even if u set procurement F.
If MRP run date falls bettwen the opening date & order start date , it will create PR only,
If run MRP run date falls outside the opening preriod ie earlier than the order opening date, system will create planned order and it has to converted to PR
For  examble,  Order start date is  28.03.2008 and 2 day is defined as opening period SMK for ROH.
If u run MRP on today it will create planned order.
Hope u understand , ifso reward and close.

  • Creation Indicator in PR: B Material Requirement planning

    Hi All,
I am facing an unusal scenario.
User is claming that PR is getting generated for a material after running the MRP, even there is enough stock.
I checked material &  I found that MRP type is ND, there is no entry in the planning file for this material.MRP list & stock requirement list of this material is showing nothing. So there is no way that PR will be created automatically via MRP run for this material.
When I checked one PR for this material, Plant & storage location, creation indicator is showing as B Material Requirement planning.
Could you please help me that why creation indicator is showing as B>
I further checked these PRs are created long back when MRP type was V1. Later they changed it to ND.
How to delete MRP generated PR manually when PO has been created for these PR.
    Regards
    Shilpi
    Edited by: sapmm1234 on Dec 14, 2011 6:10 PM

As you said; the PR was created long ago by MRP, when it was not ND.
If it was already converted into a PO, there's no need to delete it, right? If not, just delete it manually.
In the future, when you change MRP type from a valid type to ND, always remember to do 2 additional things, as the system will not do them automatically:
    1- delete the MRP list
2- delete any planning elements if they exist, like planned orders and MRP generated PRs.

  • Authorization object for field, EBAN-ESTKZ (creation indicator)

    Dear All,
Does anyone know if there is an authorization object for field, EBAN-ESTKZ?
I need to control the PR's authorization at creation indicator level. i.e. we need to remove the ability for all users to change Purchase Requisitions created by MRP.
    Thanks,

    Hi Jay,
    Thanks for your response.
I didnt find it there. You have any Z options?

  • MRP Creation Indicator

    Hi Experts,
Just want to seek help regarding the MRP Creation Indicator. What would be the effect if the Opening Period set is "0" or zero for the MRP item in SMK of Material Master but when we run MRP in the Selection Parameters we uses the parameter "2"- Purchase requisitions in Opening Period in the Create Purchase Requisition field.
We have MRP items wherein MRP still generates Planned Orders (STPO) even if the Opening Period is Zero or "0". The MRP Planned Orders contains Planned Opening Date which is the same date when MRP run and yet MRP did not created PR for the item. Hope you can help enlighten us.
    Thanks,
    SD

    Hello ,
The Opening period define at SMK is used to  calculate the "Opening date" of either planned order or Pur req. Opening date is calculated as below.
Open date = Opening period - Order start date of Planned order  or Release date of Pur req.
According to cont ind 2 ,  If Opening date  falls  before the "MRP Run date" system will create  Pur req directly. In your  case the Opening date and MRP date are same it will create Planned order Only. You have to  convert ot manually.
Opening period  is nothing but a buffer period for MRP controller  t o convert the Planned order to  Pur req
To check the same, increase your Opening Period at SMK and check with MRP

  • Setting the Goods Receipt indicator in SRM

    Hi,
I have been assigned to clear the goods receipt indicator for certain vendors during the purchase order creation process. I modified the BADI BBP_B46B_PO_OUTBOUND to clear the gr_indicator and it does that. On R/3 EKPO-WEPOS(gr_indicator)  is clear. The problem is When I display the purchase order in SRM by clicking Header Data\Follow on Documents\ the Confirm Performance of Service Goods Receipt
checkbox is still populated. I have been told that is because there is a SRM table where that gr_indicator is located but we can not determine which tables. I wanted to trace the transaction bbp_pd but we can not trace in our QA environment.
Does anyone know the SRM table that contains the Goods Receipts indicator?

  • Supplier Group Creation Error  in SRM 7.0

    Hello,
We are on SRM 7.0, SP 9. When creating a root supplier group using tcode PPOCV_BBP in SRM, we are  getting a "DATA_LENGTH_0", "CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS" error in the program "SAPLRHOMDETAIL_PP01".
This error happens during the new supplier group creation process, when we change the default name of the vendor group with a custom name and try to save the new supplier group.
Please let me know if any one has come across this issue.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    HI Raj,
you have to implement the note 1572049  to resolve this issue.

  • Business Partner creation in CRM/SRM with ID Management

    Hi,
I have tried to find info about Business partner management with IDM to CRM/SRM...
Customer would have two use cases.. Internal and External users...
Internal use case is quite straight forward in IDM documentation.. I have two questions about this,,,
    1. ALE connection from HCM to CRM/SRM to create BPs to internal users... is there anywhere documentation how to configure this ALE connection?
    2. Is after SU01 user is created - Linking to BP automatical when using Business Suite connector ?
External use case. Customer would like to implement scenario, where BP is created either:
    1. on CRM/SRM and IDM user would be created... and after approving new IDM user SU01 user with roles would be created nd BP linking would happen...
    2. on IDM user is created - BP and SU01 user would be created on CRM side... and linking between them..
On external use case I have understood- that first one is possible without stronger customization and ABAP programming?
--- first one requires VDS and SPML ID store on IDM side
And something to send Newly created BP from CRM to IDM with SPML
or does IDM check regularry with SPML CRM for newly created BPs??
Does anyone know how actually this is happening?
And is there any special configuration needed on CRM side? or some transaction to run after BP creation?
    IDM version 7.1 SP5
    Ystävällisin terveisin / Kind Regards
    Veli-Matti Luotonen

    Hi,
Check whether the BP roles have been defined in the system.
    Go to  Customizing:
Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Define BP Roles
Here you can define BP Roles and BP Categories.
Make sure the appropriate category is assigned to the BP role that you are trying to create. For this select the BP role and click on the "details" button.
Also read the documentation provided here.

    Reema.

  • Contact person creation in SUS-SRM

    Hello experts,
We are using SRM 5.0 (EBP and SUS).
At the moment we are using the Supplier Self Registration functionality, but would like to know if it's possible for the company to control the contact persons (users) creation, instead of the vendor to create them for themselves.
If so, how would this scenario work exactly?
    Regards,
    Gilberto Gallardo

There is possibility of replicating --> contact persons from SRM to SUS.
you have to use the transaction --->
    BBP_SP_COMP_INI in SRM (EBP).
Please try to replicate the contact person ---> to SUS --> and see wether the same contact person can be used to login to SUS.
i have not tried this --> so not sure wether the user can login to SUS.
as far as i know , it is not possible for the purchasing company to create and control users on SUS.
this is because , supplier user needs to be connected to the supplier company -->

  • Error in PO creation in backend (SRM to R/3)

    Hello,
We need to add contract no and contract item no to EKPO table in backend.
For this reason we implemented BADI : BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI in SRM system.
Also updated bbp_cufmap table with necessary information.
    <b>Code in the BADI :</b>
    Loop at IT_ITEM into lv_item.
    lv_cust-refobject = 'POITEM'.
    lv_cust-fieldname = 'ZZ_SRM_CTRNO'.
    lv_cust-REFFIELD1 = 'PO_ITEM'.
    lv_item1 = LV_ITEM-NUMBER_INT.
    lv_cust-REFVAL1   = LV_ITEM1.
    lv_cust-container = 'ABCD'.
    lv_cust-type = 'C'.
    append lv_cust to ct_bapi_customer_fields.
    EndLoop.
Still we get following error message :
PO XXXXXXXX : Data objects in a Unicode program are not converti ble.
    Any pointers...what could be reasons...
    Warm Regards,
    Girish Dhondge

    Hi
Which SRM version are you using ? What's the detailed requirement ?
<b>Please ensure that you have declared the internal tables and other data declarations compatible as per the BADI Structures.
Also you need to follow the sequence of the fields in which order they are appearing.</b>
<u>CT_BAPI_CUSTOMER_FIELDS table should have same structure definition as lt_cust (table of lv_cust), in your case.</u>
    Loop at IT_ITEM into lv_item.
    lv_cust-FIELDNAME = 'ZZ_SRM_CTRNO'.
    lv_cust-REFOBJECT = 'POITEM'.
    lv_cust-REFFIELD1 = 'PO_ITEM'.
    lv_cust-REFVAL1   = LV_ITEM1.
    * REFFIELD2
    * REFVAL2
    TYPE           = 'C'.
    lv_cust-CONTAINER = 'ABCD'.
    append lv_cust to ct_bapi_customer_fields.
    clear lv_cust.
    EndLoop.
Please paste the complete Short dump details using ST22 transaction for better analysis.

  • Final Delivery checkbox/indicator in SRM

    Hello Experts,
We are using SRM 5.0 connected to an ECC 6.0 system using Extended Classic Scenario.
How exactly is the "Final delivery" checkbox activated in the backend?
I don't see any box in SRM by this name... I only find the following at the Item Level -> Follow-On Documents:
    PO Response
    Shipping Notif.
    Confirm Performance of Service/Goods Receipt
    Invoice Expected
    Confirmation-Related Invoice Verification
    Automatic Settlement
Or is it that when a Purchaser activates the button "Complete" at the top of the PO, this flag is checked for all items in the backend?
    I'll appreciate your advice.
    Regards,
    Gilberto Gallardo.

    Hello Muthu,
At the item level, "Statistics" link, I find what I think you mean by confirmations (there's actually no "confirmation" tab).
However, In the statistics tab I only find the following:
    Goods Receipt/Performance of Service Confirmation
    Confirmed Quantity  0.000  PC
    Confirmed Value  0.00   MXN
    <checkbox>    No further confirmations expected
    Invoice
    Invoiced Quantity  0.000  PC
    Calculated Value  0.00   MXN
    <checkbox>   No further invoices expected
    Changed By   On
So, where's the "Final Delivery" checkbox?

  • Automatic local PO creation has errors - SRM 5.0

    Hi there,
We are busy upgrading to SRM 5.0 and are having some issues....
I can create a shopping cart from the catalog and it creates a local PO but the PO is always in HELD status. When I look at the PO in BBP_PD I get the following errors:
E BBP_TAX             006 Data inconsistency during tax calculation
E BBP_TAX             006 Data inconsistency during tax calculation
E BBP_PD              358 Select a location to which a plant has been assigned
E BBP_PD              865 Delete price or set 'Invoice Expected'
E BBP_PD              358 Select a location to which a plant has been assigned
E BBP_PD              865 Delete price or set 'Invoice Expected'
I have debugged function module BBP_PD_PO_CHECK and can see that the "invoice expected flag" is NOT set in the PO - this causes the "Delete price or set 'Invoice Expected'" error.
The "Select a location to which a plant has been assigned" error is because there is no location on the document...in subroutine "GET_PLANT_FROM_LOCATION" in program "SAPLBBP_PDIGP"......not sure why that would be blank though....
The "Data inconsistency during tax calculation" is because in my debugging it was wanting a SUBTYPE of "ST" but it gets "EP". What concerns me about this one is that it actually should be "EP"...
I have been trying to debug the SC to PO mapping to see what could have gone wrong....I think it would be in BBP_PD_SC_MAP_TO_PO_LOC?
NOTE: I have had to TURN OFF the Pricing BADI (BBP_PRICEDATA_READ) implementation (BBP_PRODUCT_PRICE) to get this far. If it is active I get the following error in SM58.
"Purchase orders cannot be created without IPC pricing"
Has anyone had these issues before?
Any help will be greatly appreciated
    Lynton

    1. Did you activate extended classic in SPRO (or rather - is it still activated )
    2. Did you retrieve the locations from the backend (as mentioned before by several others) check
    3. The badi you mention should be deactivated, as pricing is done using the built-in IPC (SRM 4.0 had a not built-in one - maybe still pointing at the SRM 4.0 one?)
    4. Check if the IPC is running correctly (go to SE38 and play around with IPCTEST* or TESTIPC* - too long ago to remember the correct report or was it something with pricing. The one thing I know is that TEST was definately in it!)
    5. Vendor master data is correct?
    6. Did you define that tax calculation is done in the backend (SPRO)? check
