So we add the Field - EKKO-WKURS in version management Configuration(Version Management - Set Up Change Displays).

Dipayan Bose

Hi,
For the first question, refer the note: 664928 - FAQ: Version management
As of my knowledge, system will show the net value change only in the initial screen in version tab.
But you can click on the "display changes"  button in version tab if you want to display the exact changes.
If the field is maintained in "set up change displays" configuration, then the old and new value will be visible in change displays.

  • Exchange rate type for version - error message GP541 during confirmation

    Hi FICO Experts,
I bumped into a problem during confirmation in CO15. (I would like to get the SFG by mvt 101 and consume the raw material by 261).
The error messase I get is:
Maintain the exchange rate type for version 000 in 2009
    Message no. GP541
    Diagnosis
You want to use plan version 000 with controlling area 1000 in fiscal year 2009.
You have not specified an exchange rate type for this plan version for fiscal year 2009. Since the update of all currencies in 2009 is active in the control indicators of the controlling area, currency conversions are possible and sometimes also needed.
It is therefore necessary to specify an exchange rate type for plan version 000 in year 2009.
    System Response
The system will not accept your entry.
    Procedure
    1. Please maintain plan version 000 first using the function 'Change Plan Version', or
    2. correct your typing error.
I'd like to ask you to please help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Csaba

go to Maintain Version at SPRO-Controlling-General Controlling-Organization->Maintan Version and do what ever it says. Provide Exchange rate type P or M would resolve your issue

  • Hit "Maintain the exchange rate type for version 0 in 2011" error

    Hi,
I hit error as mentioned in subject above while creating a sales order. I went to tranx <okeq> try to maintain new entry for year 2011. The problem I'm facing is I don't know what is my controlling area. Please advise how to find out my controlling area based on my plant or MM. Thanks!
    Regards,
    Jane

    Jane,
You can find the company code assigned to the plant in OX18
Controlling area is usually the same as company code.  You can check this, and find the exact controlling area, in OX19.
This question should probably be posted in a CO forum rather than an APO forum.

  • Implications of change of Exchange Rate Type from P to M in Version in CO

    Hi SAP Experts,
We have a requirement to change the exchange rate type in Versions. In fact, exchange rate type P has been configured in Version 0. This version is being used in Costing Variant PPC1. Price updations are being made with this costing variant. Costing Variant PPC2 is being used for internal evaluations. No price updations have been done using this costing variant.
Client wants exchange rate type M in a new version to use in costing variant PPC2. I have created a new version X and assigned exchange rate type M in new version X. I have assigned the same version in Receiver version of Profitability Analysis and Version for indicators actual.allocations in Orders/Projects tab in T-code OKEQ. In Settings for Operating Concern, I have assigned currency type "Operating Concern currency" and exchange rate type M. Cost center activity price planning (KP26) has been done with new version X for all the cost centers.
My question is "Will the above changes affect any Plan or Actual values of other versions existed in the system ?"
Please let me know will there any affect on already planned data in the system with any version.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    K.S.K

I don't think it's going to impact other versions but you may need to do simple test for other versions. One more thing is versions are controlling area specific and the M or P rates will be applied based on value date you setup in OKEQ configuration.
You don't need to assign the version for  'Version for ind.act.alloc.'  indicator until unless you use WBS for project planning. By default it will be assigned to zero version.
    Thanks

  • Euro exchange rate in sap 6.00 ecc version

    dear all,
We are recently implementing sap in our company.we are following sap 6.00 ecc version. we have taken E.rate types B for selling , G for buying , M for average.
But for EURO it is asking for type EURX only.but I want to define buying and selling rates for EURO also.can anybody tell how to define buying and selling for EURO also.

    Hi,
nevertheless you will always do the postings in M. If you want to post to use G or B you have to put in the rate type manually. That means you can maintain the KNVV-KURST manually with another course type.
to your problem. It is also possible to use the EURX. And in special cases like KNVV-KURST you can choose the exchange rate G or B manually. The document in this case will be posted later with G or B. KNVV is only an example
Please check. But it should work.
    Best regards

  • Input & System exchange rate difference make additional line item as different version in COEP

We posting cost for WBS as foreign currency.
But posted exchange rate differ system exchange rate.
(posting is made by web system and daily exchange rate update is missing in posting date)
In table COEP, additional line item was created as version 9 (PCA valuation version)
and only have transaction currency amount (COEP-WTGBTR)
    that amount logic is below
    (1) FI input exchange rate              9.8599
    (2) system exchange rate               9.7841
    (3) Input JPY                                 676,450
    (4) Translated KRW (Input rate)      6,669,729  = (1) * (3)
    (5) Translated KRW (system rate)   6,618,454  = (2) * (3)
    (6) Diff                                          51,275      = (4) - (5)
    (7) Diff translated JPY(system rate) 5,241        = (6) / (2)  ==> COEP Version 9 transaction currency amount.
why this amount is created as Version 9
and any effect comparing to same input exchange rate & system exchange rate?

    Hi,
    I got your point.
Its a standard behaviour as part of parerral valuation with addtional local currency.
Please make sure that the below are set in your system.
    1) in OB22, for your company code, for the HARD CURRENCY--The source curr must be Translation taking first local currency as a basis
    2) For every foriegn currency you use, you maintain the exch rates in OB08 with Foriegn Currency 2 Local Currency combination always. And at the same time make sure that there is no opposite combination rates for the same.
    (Like 1 USD = 50 INR...1 GBP = 80 INR....1 EUR = 60 INR only)
These may avoid most of the cases where 0.00 LC value lines during clearing.
    Regards
    Srinu

  • SGD Exchange Rate Difference JE appears in Customer Aging Report

    Dear Experts,
    SAP Version: 8.81
    Local Currency: SGD
We perform Exchange Rate Difference for a USD BP to calculate the unrealized gain/loss during month-end, JE created successfully.
Next, we go to Customer Aging Report and select this USD BP.
When i choose to view the Aging Report in Local Currency, the USD Invoice will appear in SGD + Exchange Rate Difference JE in SGD, the total balance can appear in SGD with no problem.
When i choose to view the Aging Report in BP Currency, the USD Invoice will appear in USD + Exchange Rate Difference JE in SGD, i can't see the total balance as it is appeared as xxxxx.
Above is the behaviour in 881.
Last time in SAP 2005, when i choose to view the Aging Report in BP Currency, the Exchange Rate Difference JE in SGD will not appear, therefore i can see the total balance in USD.
What is your opinion about the behavior in 881? Will you consider it as design or issue?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Lay Chin

    Dear all,
This problem is no longer there when upgrade to 881 Patch 08.

  • FI Forex gain loss & Exchange Rate difference on Foreign Currency & Chart of Accounts

    Dear All,
I have queries on following :
    1) what is difference b/w Forex gain loss account & Exchange Rate difference on Foreign Currency account .
    2) Under which Heads in Balance sheet they should come as per Indian Accounting Standards.
    3) Are these accounts common for Vendor & customers or different.
    4) they record FI data at Company code level or at sub-ledger level first (Vendor /Customer) .
    4) Is it advised to use same Chart of Accounts to two companies in same country by using different GL's with different FSV?
    Regards
    MJ

    Hi M J,
    Please note the answers below:-
    1. It is one and the same thing. When you say forex gain/loss account, it means a GL account and exchnage rate difference means, the difference in rates at which you purchased/sold and the rate at which you made paid/collected.
    2. Ask Client where they want to show these GL's in Financial statement Version.
    3. The configuration setting is in OB09 and SAP allows you to keep same or diff GL for both realised Exchnage rate gain/loss. It depends on how you want to see. technically it is possible.
    4. The Valuation is done at company code level, but individual records are picked up at vendor/customer level. It means that the revaluation gain/loss adjustment is not given to each individual Vendor/Customer, rather it is posted to a GL - Balance Sheet adj.
    5. Yes, you can use same chart of accounts and you do not need to create separate GL's at the company code level for two company codes. Same GL's can be used as the posting is made at Co. code level.

    Kavita

  • No daily exchange rate defined for rate type Corporate

We are entering a transaction in AR for currency XDR (Nav Path in Receivables: Transactions->Transactions; Form Name: ARXTWMAI, FOrm Version: 11.0.62).
The currency XDR is supposed to be IATA Rate related and has nothing to do with Corporate Exchange Rate (i.e. Bank rate). We have IATA Rate and Corporate conversion rate types (Nav Path in Receivables: Setup->Financials->Currencies->Rates->Conversion Type).
While entering the transaction, we get this message:
    "FRM-40735: ON-INSERT trigger raised unhanled exception ORA-20000.
ORA-20000: GLMCCURB: There is no daily exchange rate defined from XDR to MUR for MAY-00 for rate type Corporate.
    ORA-06512: at "APPS.RA_MRC_CUSTOMER_TRX_BIUD", line 318
ORA-04088: error during exception of trigger 'APPS.RA_MRC_CUSTOMER_TRX_BIUD'
    ORA-06512: at "APPS.ARP_PROCESS_HEADER_INSRT_COVER", line 786
    ORA-06512: at line 1
APP-01728: An assignment does not exist for these parameters.
Cause: An attempt was made to find a sequence for this document flexfield. The option says Sequential Numbering is only partially used.
Action: None is necessary unless you expected this document flexfield to have a sequence defined."
We checked the Daily Rates from XDR to MUR (Nav Path in Receivables: Setup->Financials->Currencies->Rates->Daily) and it shows only IATA rates, which is correct since XDR is not for Corporate rate type.
What we don't understand is why the error message prompts for an exchange rate to be defined from XDR to MUR for rate type Corporate.
Where is it defined that the transaction should look for rate type Corporate? Should I define it to look for IATA rate type for such kind of transaction?
    Can anyone advise. Thanks.

    Andrew Li,
1.For the first message, please check to your DBA, maybe there is some patches should apply.
    2. For the error msg APP-01728: An assignment does not exist for these parameters. Do you use document sequence number ? If Yes, make sure your document sequence has been assigned to proper SOB, and then please check profile option for Sequential Numbering. The Sequential Numbering profile should Partially Used or Always Used.
I hope it will solve your problem

  • Exchange rate message in PO

    Dear experts,
I receive a warning message "exchange rate deviates by 7%" when changing the exchange rate during PO creation.
I would like to change it to an error message.
In " IMG > MM > Purchasing > Environment data > Define attributes of system messages", I have set the message to 'E' for
    version : 00
    application area: 06
    No : 208
I have also added 'MSV' =  00 in the parameter id of the user master but the message is still a warning. What shall I do next?

    Hello
Are you trying to say that exchange rate defaulted during Purchase order creation is different from exchange rate maintained in OB08 t code?
I'm facing the same problem but i do not want to convert Message No. 06208 from warning to error.
Are you able to find the source from where the rate has been defaulted in your Purchase Order? If yes, kindly let me know about it.
Maximum exchange rate difference defined has been defined through OB64 t code.
    Thanks.

  • Exchange Rate Entry of goods from a Supplier Invoice Reserve

    Dear friends,
I have a problem. Each time we generate the entry of goods pulling the information from the invoice of reserve from supplier or vice verse, it also pulls the exchange rate from the base document, that is, from the invoice of reserve. Our currency is Peruvian Nuevo Sol.
    For example:
On October 09th 2011, we generate an invoice of reserve in EURO currency with an exchange rate of 3.925
On October 14th 2011, we make the entry of goods into the system, either from the invoice or pulling it from the entry, with an exchange rate of EUR: 3.800.
At the moment of the entry of goods, the Accounts Department informs us that the exchange rate should be the one from the entry (completely logical). If the entry is done on October 14th then the exchange rate should be the one from that same date.
However, it doesnu2019t happen this way.
The exchange rate is pulled from the base document, it means, the one generated on October 09th with an exchange rate of 3.925
The worst of all is that I cannot modify the exchange rate. I donu2019t know if it is a problem of parameters or if thereu2019s any failure with this SAP version. We use SAP B1 8.8 SP:00 PL: 15 system.
I need your help in this particular case.
    Kind regards,

Thank you very much for your reply Gordon but does not generate accounting exchange rate difference. Accountants do not know if you win or lose by the exchange difference should exist.
As explained to make the entry of goods in a different date is not generated difrencia change.
Do not know if anyone has a similar case?
    regards,
    Jesus
