but po form medruck should be modified with ur condition to display terms and conditions

I wasn't able to (easily) find anything in the way of a textfield to type something into that you describe, but you can assign code for input textfields to detect when something changes in them and take action from that event. How you do it depends on which version of actionscript you are using.

Use of SAP Smart Forms - Text Modules

Hi!
One or two questions regarding the SAP Smart Forms text modules.
First: In which table the text name is saved? Is there something like the STXH table for SapScript Objects?
Second: Is it possible to use SmartForm text modules in the text determination for SD (Invoice e.g.)?

Hi,
From STXL table u can get the text object, id n name pertaining to a text .These things put in FM 'READ_TEXT'. u get the long text...
Instead in smartforms, u can directly include texts using Create-Text, Type Include text...enter the id, name ,lang and object....
Also, for text names, objects and ID..u go to the place where long text has been entered, enter the sapscript editor from there, goto Header...u ll get all the detaails..

Form text item truncate

My form emp has to show the employee names in a single text field, using this

multiple records are now coming in single text field but my "emp_name" data type is varchar2(150) so in form

i guess this problem becoz of the data type length, how to truncate this length in forms text field?

rtrim('tech '); would return 'tech' if i got ur problem then may be ur data length property of ur the text item if u minimize the spaces of displasying ur data

Particles flow in to form text and then flow out again...

I was wondering if there was a way to do something like this in After Effects... i'd like to have particles of some sort blow in from screen left... form text for about 5 seconds and then disintegrate again and blow away through screen right

You can do this in a variety of ways from using Particle Playground, Card Dance, Shatter to CC Particle World to third-party plug-ins such as Trapcode Form and Particular. There just won't be any instant solution with either of these. All of them require multiple instances, custom parameter maps and/or heavy parameter animation as well as time-reversal techniques since naturally most particle systems expand/ explode ratehr than to "suck in". realyl depends. i recommend you study the VideoCopilot site's tutorials section, Tuts+ and other resources. and look for something suitable to get started, then come back with more specific questions.

SAPSCRIPT form - Text is not porperly displayed

in my SAPSCRIPT form, I am getting a text from PERFORM stmt. in the PERFORM , the text is coming correct, but in the form , it is showing only half of the text.
the code

Then in the form, just display

while debugging, the text is correct till TS_OUTTAB but when it comes to the form L_HAUL_LONG, it is truncated.......what should i do..

PDF form text fields' options change when opened in READER on a MAC.

I created a PDF form using Adobe X PRO. All fields are UNCHECKED for Property/Options/ "scroll long text". I save and distribute the form as a "reader extended pdf/enable additional features" so it can be saved and returned using READER.
When a Mac user opens the extended form in Adobe READER, ALL the text fields change to scroll. When he returns the completed form to me, every text field, even signature and date fields, are changed to scroll text.
What is happening in the transition from PC to MAC?

Preview is the default PDF viewer on the Mac. It should never be used with PDF forms. Just let them know that they should use Adobe Reader. Provide a link or URL where it can be downloaded and let them know that it's free.
There are things you can do so that it doesn't work in Preview, but it involves some scripting. If interested in this approach, post again.

No text in form text boxes

I have been sending out forms to be filled out in Adobe. So far, most of them come back with no issues. But recently, I have started to get them back where the text in the text boxes doesn't show up unless I click in the box. The text doesn't print when the form is printed, so that is a problem. I did some digging and it seems that the problem stems from people filling out the form in Preview mode as opposed to the regular Reader mode. So my question is two-fold.
1. Is there a way to make it so that the form cannot be filled out in Preview mode, but will prompt the user to open it up in Reader?
2. How can I fix the forms I already have? I read something about importing and exporting the form data, but I cannot see where to do that.
I am using Adobe X Pro on a Mac, and I am NOT a power user, so please be very detailed in your answers about where I find commands.

I figured that much out.
My question was how do I prevent these problems? I saw another discussion (over a year old) that said something about importing and exporting the data, and another answer that mentioned turning off the ability to fill out the forms in Preview.
So my questions were how to actually perform those "fixes" since I can't seem to find any sort of 'import/export/ command in Adobe Pro X nor can I find anything about locking the form from being filled out in Preview mode.

When printing PDF file, have FORM TEXT in text fields

When I print a PDF file, I get { FORMTEXT } in all the text fields (as well as { FORMCHECKBOX } for where the person would circle an answer) and I don't know how to turn it off. Appreciate any help.
I also get symbols where there should be a regular empty box (where then someone would just put an x or check mark).

Do you mean that you get this when printing FROM a word document with
form fields TO a PDF? If so, you have to turn off your Word option
that prints field names.

Error while uploading script form text file to SAP system

i down loaded a SAP Script from production server to local test file using RSTXSCRP
it get downloaded successfully but when i am uploading it to development server it is giving ERROR as :

The text used in the previosu script is not in language en or proabably the standard text is not existent at the application server .
Create the same text first then try uploading it it shold work.

Can I shrink the size of a form text box based on the content?

We are helping a customer migrate from some MS Word forms to use pdf forms. We are screenscraping the data from an AS400 green screen system and populating these new pdf forms with data. however some of the text boxes are in the middle of a sentence and the text box needs to be large enough to fit 50 characters but there are many times when the data we are entering is much less than 50. The resulting document looks very strange with all of that extra white space in the middle of a sentence due to the size of the text box.
So can we somehow shrink the size of the text box to fit the number of characters in the box?
I considered making the box smaller and setting the font size to auto but I think that would look even more strange to have a word with smaller font in the middle of a sentence.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I am using acrobat professional 9. I see that I can change the size of the text field when I am designing the form but what I don't see is how to dynamically change the size of the text field based on what data is put inside it.

Issue with length of form text fields in Firefox in OSX

I've just spotted an issue with this in a page on a site, with two forms next to each other. (the limited space has highlighted it.)
Basically FF on the Mac is making the text fields longer than any other browser :

If not, I'll just reduce their length so that at least they're not squashed in any browser (even though they'll be a bit short in every browser other than FF Mac).

How do I clear a form text field during validation using JavaScript?

I am just learning JavaScript and the Acrobat API. I have a form created in adobe acrobat 9 standard (starting from an existing form in MS Excel). There is a text field for a Social Security Number. I have a custom format script and keystroke script and a custom validation script. I would like to add to the existing validation script, that if what is entered doesn't match the validation test, then clear out the field as in erase all the characters that were typed into the field. I want this to happen no matter what. So even if someone filled in a valid SSN number and then moved to the next field, but then went back to the SSN field and decided to change their entry and this new entry was "invalid" then clear out the field (do not revert to what was typed in the field originally, even though it was considered valid by the script). (There is currently no default value for this field.) Thank you inadvance for you help on this.

You can use FM 'READ_TEXT'.
pass 'ST' for ID.
and 'TEXT' for OBJECT
and pass the name of text element to NAME u will get the
text element.
