PO messages (Number of copies)

Hi,
We have a client in which for a particular plant or pur group alone has to print 2 copies for the PO's. Without changing the output code. Now we are going to each PO and changing the number of messages manually. Is it possible to make it global for this plant or pur grp only. If yes then How to do it.

Hi Suresh,
Create one New Message type for this scenario.
Create one Condition table by taking the Field Purchasing Group as one of the field. Add this condition table in the Access sequence.
Maintain thecondition record for this message type, give here the number of copies =2.
When u'll create PO it will for the same Purchasing group it will take this message type & process the output.

I was in the process of making 20 copies of my video, I manage to get 8 copies when my computer said it had to turn off due to an error. Now I am unable to make copies because that same message keeps appearing.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What are you making copies of..... burn to DVD, Blu-ray, or AVCHD and presumed in the Premiere Elements 11 Publish+Share/Disc/ with number of copies indicated in the burn dialog?
In the past, making disc copies by that process was a hit or miss proposition. If I were you I would consider making exact copies using the software that came with your Blu-ray DVD burner. or DVD/CD burner.

Number of copies to print

HP Officejet 6500 (Wireless)- but using USB connection-Windows 7 (Home Prem). If I ask it to print 2 copies from Foxit PDF editor it only prints one copy. If I then go back to the print instruction it still shows "2" against number of copies. I change that to "1" and tell it to print but this time it prints two copies. Can anyone help please? Thanks.

This 4 represent - send immidiately. i.e. when you click the message tab, after entering the output type u hav to click further data tab in this there is dispach time option here you have to select send immidiately.
For taking no. of copies whiling giving the print out system will ask for the option you can enter 4 no. here.

I'm searching where is specified the number of copies of purchase order to print in ME21/22 ...
In my system (4.6C), I can see 4 as this number, but there's nothing in message determination (MN05).
Where is specified this 4 ?

The number of copies of an output is populated in the field NAST-ANZAL. The masterdata for the number of copies is maintained in NACH-ANZAL for any sales related transaction. The table NAST is however applicable irrespective of application.
You can pass on your data to this field (NASST-ANZAL) for your reqmt.

Error in material ledger closing entry (message number KE396)

Hi friend
i met a problem in material ledger closing entry ,the message number is KE396
after checked some transaction data and master data ,i find that some one change the division in material master during the period and change back to the the old division during the period ,the division is one of the characteristic in copa ,System will check the derivation via material master when we run the material ledger closing,so it went error and said the Inconsistency between a document field and the prof. segment number
Then i use KE26 to repost the COPA line item ,but it also went error when i run the material ledger closing entry
can you tell me how to solve this issue

Please raise an OSS message as this is a program error.
Momentarily you can try the following:
1. Do not select option "Set CO Account Assignment" in Post Closing.
2. If the above action does not resolve the error, then force close the material and then run the Post Closing. Surely this is not an ideal situation and must be adopted if there are only very few materials.

Error Message: Number is not in external Interval (Testing Schedule)

Hii ,
Iam working on Stability study process. I have maintained stabity test with materiial (QS) & performed my test upto Initial test of Inspection lot. But when i click create Testing Scheudle in the Notification (QM02) , system asks for testing schedule data for
Maintenane strategy, scheduling period.
On clciking create testing schedule , system throws error message "Number is not in external interval". I have maintained all the prerequite setting on number range in following spro path stability study>testing schedule for stability study> Category--> no range.
For Group ST 600000000- 6999999999 for Intenal & 70000000-7999999999 for external. But still iam facing with error message ""Number is not in external interval". It throws message no "IP324" . Even I had cross checked with maintenance setting, but error message remains . How to resolve this issue?

did you actually enter a number ( i.e. 70000001)?
Usually Stability studies are created using the external number range so that ringing names can be used for the studies:
Example:
Material: 000000000000000001 acetylsalicylic acid
Stability study: ASA1

Write message to Job log with message class and message number

hi folk,
When running a background job I'm able to write a message to the job log using the statement - Message "some text..." type 'I'.
In the Job log I can see the message "some text.." with a "default" message class and message number (but in my report i don't specify any message ID) so I have no idea it comes from.
Then I try to send a message where I specify the message class/number etc...using message id 'Z1' number 000 with "some text..." In the job log I now can see the "right" message class "Z1" and the number 000, but the message is empty?
Please advice how to write a message with the message class and message number.

ABAP Forms - Number of Copies

Hello,
I am having problems with a form that I created in SAP. The form is for a barcode label. The only contents of the form is a text include and a call to an external report that pulls in data. When I call the form from a program that I wrote it always prints two copies. However when the form is called via MIGO, it only prints one copy. Does anyone know what could cause this? I have looked at the number of copies field in the itcpo that I pass the OPEN_FORM function routine. Any help would be appreciated

Since you are getting two copies of same output, right. I suggest you to run the program in debug mode to see what actually happens during run time. Check simultaneously the way the program runs and the status of the list where the contents gets printed. You may come up with a solution. For debugging check this thread...

MRP - want to create query for Exception message number (MD04)

consider i had one purchase against xxxx material , if i go to MD04 In Exception message number column i got massage number 20 Cancel process, now i want to know how many purchase order exist in system having the Exception message number 20
i want to define query for Exception message number 20
is there any way to do the same

Hi,
There are links on the first thread on this MM board that describe how to produce a query.
But if you have not done this before and have no ABAP experience, you might find it a bit tricky.
You need someone to find the tabkle that stores the MRP lists and see if this contains the exception message, first.
the structure I gave you is probably built dynamically by the program and so may not be available for a query.
One simpler option is to use the "Collective access" tab in MD04. here you can enter an MRP controller etc. and get a list of materials. You can then find out which of the 8 numbered columns contains the exception message 20 and then sort the list in this sequence (the exception messages are linked to one of the columns and this can be different in every implementation and so I can't tell you which one it is)
This will not just get the "20" messages unless they have been configured to use a separate column, but at least it is avail;able now without config and may be enough for your purposes.

CO down payment update is active in controlling area WAPC. You must therefore maintain a default cost element and a revenue element for down payments.
Maintain the default cost element for dow payment for controlling area in the project system implementation guide.
Kindly advice.

In the define dafault cost elemens for down payments in Project system-OKEP the CE for vendor and cusotmer downpayemnt is missing

if while creating down payment request you have not assigned cost element
maintain cost elements there.

Acrobat 9 Pro - Print Number of Copies

At times I want to print to paper 2, 3, or 4 copies of the same document. With the printer window opened, it allows me to select the quantity, but when I click OK to proceed to print I received another popup window reading:
The printer cannot support this many copies.
Number of copies will be set to printer maximum of 1.
What/Where/How do I find the setting to resolve this issue?

Take into account, there is a difference between asking the OP, "Have you checked the Print Drivers", and or, "If so, what did you learn?"; rather than telling the OP what the issue is before all facts are gathered, then becoming defensive or insulted.
Example:
I am cooking. I taste the food and say, "Something doesn't taste right. You say, "You didn't add salt". I respond, "I did, it's not salt, it must be something else". Instead of asking first if I added salt, or offering another suggestion, you are insulted and or become defensive. Case in point.

I posted the screen-shot on the fly and first time using this forum and its UI. When it is clicked on, it expands (as you saw). After it expands. Change the "Zoom Level" on your screen to find the correct resolution. Hint - It tells no more than the words in my original post.

I need to print with a number of copies set

Hi im trying to print with number of copies set but it dosent work.. I tried it on 3 different printers.
It only print 1 copie when i say 2 or 3 or 4...

Same problem here. I have found hundreds of questions in several places, but no answer.
Problem is that when I set the copies, PrintServiceLookup.lookupPrintServices returns no results.
Please help.

WD Java application is displaying ABAP MESSAGE NUMBER, Not the text

We have WD Java applications running on Adpeted RFC model, Now the Success/Error Messages coming from backend are not displayed in the text, Message number is shown rather. In ABAP side, the language pool is maintained only for the danish language and the same danish language is set as portal language for the end user.
Does the Meta Jco Default language play any role here? I can see it is set as Danish by default but in one of the workign system it is English?
Can you explain where the problem could be?

I completely agree, we checked the message pool and found that the mesasage text is maintained for specific code in specific language, but on portal is not displaying the text, but it is displaying the code. it seems the language information of portal user is not being passed to backend.

Get the Error-Message-Number from RFC to SOAP

we have implemented a synchronous SOAP-Call to RFC over XI. How can I get the message-number from the raised exception in the RFC-function Module to the SOAP-Caller?

Matthias,
For you to have an exception structure when an rfc is imported into Xi, the rfc should have an exception defined. Usually we define an ApplicationError as one of the exceptions.
The idea is that if there was an exception which you didnt handle in your rfc (BAPI return will be emplty), the exception will be returned to XI and shown in SXMB_Moni as hard error(of course there should be a message mapping avaliable in XI )
In all the other cases, since you are populating BAPIReturn which is tables parameter, you should be able see the filled structure in your response message from RFC.
